The screen goes blank and we hear the fans chanting 'S-S-W! S-S-W! S-S-W!' There is a screech and then 'THICK AS THIEVES' by Cavo hits and the SSW show opening plays . . . . As soon as then intro finishes, the camera comes up on the rowdy crowd, pumping their fists and chanting. The music continues to play as the camera scans the crowd, and strobe lights are going off through the arena . . .
Ring Announcer Bobby Cruise is already in the ring to start the show, and he introduces the man that was announced as the special referee for the main event at the SSW 5th Anniversary show . . . from right here in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania . . . KURT ANGLE!!!!
Angle comes out to a huge reaction! 'WELCOME BACK!' chants from the fans . . . . Angle thanks them and says that it's been a long time since they have seen him in SSW . . . and it doesn't matter where he has been, it matters where he is now . . . AND KURT ANGLE IS BACK! OH, IT'S TRUE! And the first order of business is next week at the SSW 5th Anniversary show. John Lauranitis needed someone to ensure that things would not get out of hand during the main event, and who better to make sure that doesn't happen than the only Olympic Gold Medalist in UWF history?
'WE ARE ONE' by 12 Stones hits and brings out The United Kingdom (Wade Barrett, Sheamus, Doug Williams & Drew McIntyre) . . . Barrett's arm is still in a sling, but he has something to say. Suddenly Angle finds himself surrounded by the UK in the ring, and he looks ready to fight. Barrett tells him to relax because they are not here to fight him, they are here to let everyone know that the balance of power in SSW is shifting . . . Last week the United Kingdom's newest member Sheamus brought home the Impact title, and soon the UK will own all the titles in SSW. And when his arm heals, Wade Barrett will be the one that brings the SSW Genesis title home to the UK!
'WHATEVER' by Our Lady Peace hits and out come the SSW tag team champions Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko! The tag champs come out to even things up, and Benoit says that last week Sheamus didnt beat him . . . Adam Cole & Kyle O'Reiley beat him. He wants his Impact title rematch tonight . . . no more surprises! Barrett says that the UK have nothing to gain by Sheamus facing Benoit tonight, so if Sheamus is going to put the title on the line the UK needs something in return. If Sheamus wins, Benoit and Malenko have to give the UK a tag title shot! Benoit and Malenko are in agreement, and we have our main event for tonight!

SSW DEFINING MOMENTS SEGMENT: This one focuses on Chris Jericho and his controversial run through SSW. No other figure in the history of wrestling was more controversial than Jericho, whose antics eventually led to SSW leaving the UWF and becoming an independent promotion.
Back from break, we join Mike Goldberg and Joe Rogan at ringside as they put over tonights show. They talk about how the United Kingdom is making a significant push to become the dominant force in SSW, especially now that they have added former 2 time XWA champion Sheamus to the fold. We are one week away from the 5th Anniversary show, and all the participants in the main event are in the building tonight, as is the special referee Kurt Angle! On top of that, Davey Richards is here tonight to give an update on the future of the American Wolves, and we will see Michael Elgin battle Seth Rollins in a battle of breakout stars.
Singles Match DH Smith vs Ken Kennedy
The announcers are very high on Smith, and they talk about how he is a former SSW tag team champion. As the match goes on, Mike Mondo comes out of the back and sits in a chair at ringside, watching the match intently. Kennedy puts on a good showing, but in the end Smith continues his impressive singles run when he makes Kennedy tap out to the Bulldog Bite (Dragon Clutch).
After the match, Mondo gets on the mic and says that he had to come out out and see first hand what all the hype is about. Frankly, he is not impressed. Mondo says that he is the guy that has been here going undefeated while Smith has been off who knows where living off his daddy's name. Mondo has beaten guys like Taz and Jeff Hardy. Mondo challenges Smith to a match at the 5th Anniversary show, and says that when it is over Mike Mondo is going to be the one that is still undefeated . . .
IN THE BACK - Kurt Angle is shown talking with some of the backstage personnel in the hallway. He finishes his conversation and turns to walk off, when he is confronted by 'American Dragon' Bryan Danielson . . . Danielson talks about being the man that main evented the very first SSW show. It is HIS time . . . it is HIS destiny to be the next SSW champion. Angle says that he is going to call the match right down the middle and the best man will win the match. Danielson says that he is the best man in the match, and he is the best wrestler in the world. Angle tells him good luck . . .

Back from the break, Joe Rogan is in the ring to do an interview with 1/2 of the American Wolves Davey Richards. However, as Davey makes his way out to the ring the lights go down and another strange promo plays on the big screen . . .
Joe and Davey look confused, but they continue with the interview. Davey updates everyone on the condition of his partner Eddie Edwards following his injury at the hands of the House of Truth. He says that Eddie is still recovering, but he will recover and when he does the American Wolves will be back with a vengeance! On queue this brings out the House of Truth, Kyle O'Reiley and Adam Cole, to interrupt. Cole says that for the longest time they wanted to be just like the Wolves, but then they realized that they were already better than the Wolves in every way. They put Eddie Edwards out of action, and the Wolves will never be the same. Davey is fired up, and he wants to take on both Cole & O'Reiley right now!!!! Cole says that they already took out Eddie Edwards and they will do the same to Davey right now!
Cole and O'Reiley attack Richards and he is able to fight them off for a minute but then the numbers game is too much. Richards gets beat down, but then gets rescued by the most unlikely source as 'UNSETTLING DIFFERENCES' by Blue Smock Nancy hits and out comes Appetite for Destruction! Steen and Dragon clear the ring, and as ringside officials check on Davey Richards Steen has a microphone . . .
Steen says they didnt come out here for Davey Richards, they are out here because apparently everyone has forgotten who in the hell they are! He talks about how for weeks all he has heard about is that the Briscoes are in SSW. Big fucking deal! The Briscoes havent done shit in this company and John Lauranitis is ready to hand them everything on a silver platter. Steen and Dragon made a very simple request, they want the Briscoes at the 5th Anniversary show. And what they want . . . THEY GET! John Lauranitis is dragging his feet on making this happen, but they aren't asking nicely anymore . . . THEY WANT THE BRISCOES!
This brings out Jay and Mark Briscoe to a pretty decent pop. Jay says that the Briscoes know exactly who Steen and Dragon are . . . they are the two little bitches running around here talking shit like they are some bad asses or something. They may have been the top team in SSW, but as soon as the Briscoes inked their deal that all changed. They want a fight? Hell, all they had to do was ask! They don't need John Lauranitis to approve the deal, they just need to name the time and place and the Briscoes will be there! Steen says he is so glad to hear them say that, so he names the time and place . . . THE SSW 5TH ANNIVERSARY SHOW! Jay says that its a date, and tells Steen and Dragon that they better get ready to MAN UP!
IN THE BACK - Now it is AJ Styles' turn to confront Kurt Angle about being the ref. Angle says that he is getting tired of this, but AJ just tells Angle that he knows what he feels like. He knows what it is like to be going nowhere and feel like his career has stalled and then to come back home. He says that Angle may be wound too tight and inadvertently take the outcome into his own hands. Angle says that his mind is perfectly clear, and he will have no problems calling it right down the middle. The better man will win . . . AJ starts to say something, but Kurt says 'let me guess . . . you're the better man.' AJ says that he is not just the better man . . . he is phenomenal!

Tag Team Match The United Kingdom (Doug Williams & Drew McIntyre) vs Trailer Park Pitbulls (Kid Kash & Jamie Noble)
Very good back and forth this match as Kash and Noble show they are a solid tag team. However, the momentum continues to build for the United Kingdom. Williams and McIntyre hit their double team flapjack/ European uppercut combo on Noble, then McIntyre takes Kash out with a big boot while Williams finishes off Noble with the Chaos Theory for the 3 count!
IN THE BACK - Cody Rhodes confronts Kurt Angle in the locker room . . . How dare he try to steal Cody's spotlight? There isn't room in the spotlight for anyone else, because Cody wants it all!!!! He says that Angle is another washed up has-been that has come crawling back to SSW trying to recapture former glory, so it is only fitting that he has found a way into this match. Just like AJ Styles, just like John Cena, just like Bryan Danielson. Angle makes mention that Cody needs this match more than anyone else to prove that he is not just a transitional champion. This pisses Cody off and he says that Angle is only in this match for nostalgia purposes, but Cody is the future! He is the face of SSW . . . the walking, talking, living breathing main event! Cody says that when he wins at the 5th Anniversary show, he will have an Olympic Gold Medalist raise his hand, and Angle will have no choice but to proclaim him the better man!
At ringside, Mike and Joe set up the next match. No one has been more impressive as of late than Michael Elgin, coming within an eyelash of winning the Impact title during several epic battles with Chris Benoit. Rollins, meanwhile, has enjoyed previous success in SSW but has really been on a roll since his transformation from Tyler Black to Seth Rollins. Rollins comes out first, and he says that he wants to challenge the winner of tonights main event for the Impact title at the SSW 5th Anniversary show. Rollins says that its his time . . . and after tonight there will be no doubt in anyone's mind who the next breakout star is . . . Tonight everything changes for one man . . .
Singles Match Seth Rollins vs 'Unbreakable' Michael Elgin
This match is billed as the battle of the breakout stars, and it lives up to the hype. Both men turn in a star-making performances, and the action goes in and out of the ring . . . but there can be only one winner . . . After nearly 15 minutes of action, both men have battled to a stalemate. Elgin gains control late, rocking Rollins with a spinning back-fist and then drilling him with the buckle bomb! Elgin gives the cutthroat gesture, and he goes for the spinning power bomb but Rollins somehow reverses out of it and lands behind Elgin . . . PELE! Rollins scoops Elgin up . . . BUCKLE BOMB ON ELGIN! Elgin stumbles out of the corner . . . right into the 'Avada Kadavra' (Super Kick) by Rollins!!!! Elgin doesn't go down, but another super kick by Rollins drops Elgin to his knees! Rollins goes for the Avada Kadavra again, this time to the kneeling Elgin . . . but this time Elgin catches his foot! Elgin rises to his feet . . . then spins Rollins around and goes for an enziguri but Rollins dodges as Elgin takes out the ref!!!! Rollins scoops up Elgin and drills him with the F-5, then he goes up top . . . PHOENIX SPLASH MISSES!!!! Elgin picks Rollins up and is going to finish him with the spinning power bomb, when out of the crowd comes . . .
. . . TYSON KIDD!!!!
Kidd grabs a chair and blasts Elgin across the back! Elgin doesnt even go down, but Kidd takes him down with a springboard blockbuster!!!! Kidd bails out and tosses the referee back in the ring, and Rollins doesnt know what has happened . . . BLACK OUT (running curb stomp) TO ELGIN!!!! Cover for the 1 . . . 2 . . . 3! Rollins wins!
After the match, Elgin regains his bearings and realizes what has happened. Elgin totally snaps and starts destroying everything in site, refs and backstage personnel alike!!!! The situation in the ring is crazy as we have to go to break.

Before the main event, Mike and Joe announce that Tyson Kidd will face his former protege Michael Elgin coming up at the 5th Anniversary show . . .
Main Event: for the SSW Impact title (champion) Sheamus w/ Wade Barrett & Aksana vs Chris Benoit w/ Dean Malenko
Benoit and Sheamus tear it up again this week, and Benoit appears a little more ready for Sheamus this time around. However, he has to battle the outside interference from Wade Barrett and Aksana, but Dean Malenko is there to offset that a little bit. Sheamus nails the White Noise on Benoit for a close 2 count, but Benoit comes back and nails the rolling German suplexes on Sheamus! Benoit up top but misses the diving headbutt and both men are down!!!!
With both men down in the ring, all of the sudden out of the back comes Kyle O'Reiley and Adam Cole and they attack Dean Malenko at ringside! Benoit up and he sees this . . . THEN TAKES OUT COLE & O'REILEY WITH A SUICIDE DIVE!!!! Huge brawl outside the ring between Malenko and Benoit and the HoT, and in the ring the referee has started his count. Benoit is unable to make it back to the ring and he gets counted out! Sheamus retains the Impact title, and now the UK will get a tag title shot!!!!
The fight continues after the bell, and the rest of the United Kingdom come out and attack Benoit and Malenko as well! The champs fight back, but it is a 4 on 1 beatdown! Finally, Davey Richards runs out with a chair and makes the save for Benoit & Malenko, clearing the ring as we go to break again . . .

We are running short on time, when back out to the ring comes Kurt Angle! Angle takes the mic and says that everyone in the main event of the 5th Anniversary show has confronted him throughout the night, and it has kind of pissed him off. Everyone . . . except John Cena! He is out here right now in case John Cena wants to come get in his face too, and he calls out Cena!
'BASIC THUG-A-NOMICS' hits and brings out Cena to a mixed reaction. Cena says that, out of all the people in the match at the 5th Anniversary show, John Cena is the man that Lauranitis DOES NOT want to see win. He figured Lauranitis would try to stack the deck against him, so Cena is ready. But as far as him confronting Kurt Angle about the match, no . . . he is not going to confront Angle about being the referee in the match. He doesn't sweat it, because even if Angle has an agenda it doesn't matter. It doesnt matter what Lauranitis wants, or what Angle wants, or what the people want. It doesn't matter who the ref is . . . Because after it is all said and done Cody Rhodes can be the new face and future of SSW, AJ Styles can still be phenomenal, and Bryan Danielson can still be the best wrestler in the world . . . but what John Cena is going to be is the brand new SSW Genesis champion!!!!
Angle and Cena are nose to nose, and the camera shows that Cody Rhodes has come out on the ramp. Angle and Cena turn their attention to him, and Cody holds up the SSW title as the show fades out . . .
