KING OF THE RING – The Final Four
Live from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York

The opening promo for the King of the Ring airs to ‘EMPIRE STATE OF MIND’ by Jay Z.  The highlight package shows action from the entire King of the Ring tournament from round 1 to the Final Four, which has spanned the entire month of December.

We go inside Madison Square Garden, where the New York fans are riled up and ready to go.  SSW announce team Mike Goldberg and Joe Rogan are at ringside to get the show started!  Mike and Joe welcome the fans to this historic show, where tonight we will crown the first ever KING OF THE RING!

As Joe and Mike are running down the show, the familiar music of the UWF World Champion, Rick Rude hits and the champion comes out to ringside, along with Maryse.

Joe: "Well, fans, joining us is the UWF World Heavyweight Champion himself.  Champ a huge night lined up for you, as right here tonight you will defend your World title against John Cena, but not only that, we will find out who will indeed be crowned King of the Ring and begin his road to Wrestlemania, where they will get a UWF World Title shot!"

Rick Rude: "What impresses me most little man is that you could remember all that on your own! You dont think that "Ravishing" Rick Rude knows all that without you telling me? Please! Its real simple, first off, lets start with the Great White Hype....John Cena. You see Cena, you got a real good thing going for you with your "I will not Die" attitude. But you have never been in the ring with Rick Rude! Im not here to win the people over, or sell T-shirts Cena. Im here to prove exactly why I am the greatest wrestler in the entire UWF! This title belt doesnt say World Champion on it for no reason, and tonight you will find out why!"

Announcer: "Champ, can we get your thoughts on the final four combatants in the King of the Ring? One of these four men will be going on to face you at Wrestlemania for the World title.’

Rude: "Its official, you are indeed as dumb as you look! There’s no doubt that these four men have great talent and ability. Take a look at Chris Jericho. Possibly the most talented wrestler of the Final Four. But Y2J's shortcomings might be his alligator mouth over riding his big bird ass! But Jericho had better worry about Ripper Collins. The man has won match after match and has done so quietly. But even the Ripper might find himself with his hands full against that big tub Bruiser Brody. Eddie Gilbert might be the dirtiest one of them all, but as far as this "pressure" that you talked about, trust me little man, there is no pressure on "Ravishing" Rick Rude! The pressure is on each and every one of those guys. Because, regardless of who wins King of the Ring, they have the unenviable task of trying to take this title off my chiseled waist. And that’s where "The Ravishing One" is heads and shoulders above them all. Now if you excuse me, I have work to do. The pleasure has been all yours!"

Rude takes his leave as “BREAK THE WALLS DOOOOOOOOOOWN!’ hits and out comes Chris Jericho!  Jericho and Rude pass each other and have a staredown, and Jericho locks his eyes on the world title belt.  He looks at Rude and smiles, then walks past him to the ring.  We are ready for our first King of the Ring match of the night.

King of the Ring Final Four: Match 1

NOOOO!  Collins kicks out!  Jericho goes for the Codebreaker, but Collins blocks it and turns it into the sharpshooter!  Jericho is in trouble now, but he too makes the ropes.  Collins sets Jericho up for the leaping DDT, but Jericho blocks it in mid-move and turns it into the codebreaker!!!!  Jericho quickly hooks the leg and gets the surprise 3 count on Collins!  Jericho advances to the King of the Ring finale!

It is time for the 2nd match in the King of the Ring, with the winner going on to meet Chris Jericho tonight in the finals.  Sir Oliver Humperdink and Bruiser Brody make their way out, and SOH calls for the mic right off.  Humperdink brings up his past relationship with Eddie Gilbert, and says that he is proud of him making it so far in this tourney.  He says that due to their long friendship,he wants to give EDDIE an easy way out!  He tells EDDIE to just lay down and take the three count...that way Eddie won't get hurt and afterwards they can all go out and have a drink to celebrate BRODY'S winning of the KOTR!  ‘Hotstuff’ by Donna Summer hits and out comes Eddie Gilbert with a big smile on his face.  He gets in the ring, but instead of shaking Hump’s hand, he snatches the mic away from him.  Eddie wants to get things straight, and then asks if SOH is really wanting him to lay down for Brody.  SOH shakes his head, and Eddie agrees that SOH is the man that made him who he is today.  He wouldn't be anything without his help.  Eddie says ‘let’s do it’, and SOH spreads his arms out wide to hug Eddie.  Eddie tells Gary Hart to leave the ring, but Hart is protesting big time.  Meanwhile Brody turns to the fans, raising his chain and barking.  Eddie acts like he is going to hug SOH, but then he nails him with a huge right hand.  Eddie kicks SOH in the gut, then piledrives him!!!!  Brody turns around to see this, and the fight is on!!!!

GO TO SLEEP!  Brody hooks the leg and gets the 1 . . . 2 . . . 3!!!!

vs.
The Steiner Brothers (Rick & Scott)

Scott and Pillman kick things off. Scott wants to go on the mat, but Pillman keeps grabbing the ropes. Pillman stops that with a swinging neckbreaker and heads up top, but Scott isn’t that worn down to take anything off the top yet and catches Pillman coming down for an overhead belly-to-belly suplex! Barry and Rick tag in. They run the ropes for a bit, which ends with Rick laying down beside Barry and freaking him out. More running of the ropes until Rick snaps off a powerslam. Windham's had enough, so the champs have to regroup. Scott tags in and gets into an overhead wristlock-bridge with Windham. Pillman comes in to help out, but Scott flips away from the pressure and armdrags both guys. Rick runs in and double-Steinerlines the champs out to the floor. Back in, Windham goes low on Scott and dumps him out, but their plan backfires and the Steiners kill them both with Steinerlines. Back in again, Scott grabs a chinlock. He gets backed up into the wrong side of town with Pillman, but then comes back with a tilt-a-whirl slam on the RUNWAY! Back in AGAIN, Scott grabs a Steiner Recliner. That gets two. Barry tags in for some stomping and then Pillman tags back in for a hammerlock. Rick elbows out, but Windham gets the blind tag and LEVELS Rick with a back elbow for 1-2-NO! Scott comes in and saves Rick from a double suplex and we get STEREO SUPLEXES instead! Windham comes off the middle-rope, but Rick nails him on the way down and makes the tag to Scott. Backdrop and a vertical suplex gets two. They trade blows, but then Windham rams Scott’s head into Pillman's head by accident. That gets two. Pillman tags in and hits a flying knee drop for 1-2-NO! Barry's back in for the DDT that gets 1-2-NO! He tries for several pin attempts and tries for a splash, but Scott blocks with a leg scissors. Windham turns it over into a Boston crab and walks over to tag in Pillman. He grabs a camel clutch, but Scott walks Pillman over to Rick. Pillman lets go and nails Rick to draw him in so that he and Windham can deliver the ROCKET LAUNCHER on the rampway! As if that wasn’t enough, Pillman then smashes Scott’s face into the guardrail. Scott blocks the second try though and returns the favor. Back in, Pillman still manages to cut off the tag and tags Windham. He tries to smash Scott’s face into Pillman's knee, but Scott sends Barry into it instead. HOT TAG TO RICK! Steinerlines abound! Rick goes for a belly-to-belly superplex on Pillman, but Barry comes by and lifts Rick up on his shoulders for a Doomsday device. Pillman hits AIR-Pillman onto Rick, but Rick catches Pillman in mid-air for a belly-to-belly suplex for 1-2-NO!! Rick hits the STEINER BULLDOG on Windham and covers, but Pillman stomps him in the back of the head. Meanwhile, Windham reaches into his tights and turns to throw some powder in Rick’s face! The blind Rick Steiner accidentally gives the ref a belly to belly suplex and then backdrops Windham over the top rope, as this goes on Scott hits the tiger driver and the FRANKENSTEINER on Pillman! The ref calls for the bell and Scott jumps up and hugs Rick, thinking they have won the WLW Tag Titles. But the ref informs the ring announcer that the Steiners have been disqualified for harming the ref! Thus the winners and still WLW Tag Champions, Barry Windham & Brian Pillman!!

Commercial Break

Baak from break, the fans are still booing over the ending to the previous match, and they turn that anger on both Cena and Rude as they make their entrances to the ring.  Joe and Mike talk about the controversy, saying that we still don’t know who the King of the Ring is and  still have a UWF World title match to go.  They are just as unhappy as the fans are.
