In the back, John Cena is sitting in the locker room with a towel over his head. Cena talks, but never raises his head from staring at the floor. He says that Punk is right, he is in his head. But that is a dangerous place to be. This thing between them goes far beyond being a game. Now it’s personal. He promises Punk that this is the last time he will be ‘Punk’d’ and next time the shoe is going to be on the other foot. We come back to live action and Lance Storm is already in the ring. Storm asks if he can be serious for a minute, then he talks about how the last time he was on TV was when he was being robbed in the Pure title tournament by everyone’s ‘American Hero’ Kurt Angle. He says that people look up to Angle and all he does is teach them to cheat. That is what is wrong with America today. Well, he is out here tonight because he is tired of being held back. He is officially challenging the winner of tonight’s main event to put the Pure title on the line against the best technical wrestler in SSW . . . Lance Storm. Storm tells Taz not to blame Canada . . . blame himself! Taz tells Storm that he has a message that he wants him to give Owen. Taz attacks Storm, laying him out with the ‘Brooklyn Boot’. Angle – ‘Tonight is the night that Team: Domination claims its rightful spot in SSW. And it happens with Kurt Angle, your Olympic hero, getting back what is rightfully his. Oh sure, Bryan Danielson is a good wrestler. I would say he’s the 4th best in SSW behind myself and the rest of Team: Domination. But Danielson, you’re not the best. How many gold medals have you won? That’s right . . . NONE! So really, you are not even in my league. The fact that you hold that belt right now is a travesty. But I am going to remedy that little problem tonight when I beat your ass in the middle of the ring. Oh, it’s true . . . IT’S DAMN TRUE!!!!’ Commercial

Dragon – ‘Kurt Angle. I will give the devil his due. You are without a doubt the toughest man I have ever been in the ring with. But I lost a little bit of respect for you last week. You see, a great athlete like yourself shouldn’t have to come out and whine and cry about not being a champion. You go out and prove you are a champion, just like I did when I beat you at Wrestle War. This belt right here proves that I am the best in the world. And if me knocking you unconscious at Wrestle War didn’t convince you, I promise after tonight there will be no doubt who the better wrestler is, gold medals or not. And you’re looking at him.’Mike – ‘Fans, that match is coming up NEXT!!!! Don’t go away!’Commerical

This time Danielson no-sells it and pops right back up, turning Angle inside out with a vicious lariat!!!! Danielson scoops Angle up in the ‘airplane spin of doom’, and then hits a ridiculous amount of rotations before tossing Angle off. Danielson makes the cover, but Angle has one rope break left and manages to get his foot on the rope.
