Live from the Waukesha County Expo Center in Waukesha, Wisconsin. This is . . .
SHOOTING . .
.STARS . . .
WRESTLING!!!!The logo fades to black as we hear nothing but the crowd chanting ‘S . . . S . . . W! S . . . S . . . W!’ The show opens up with your commentators Mike Goldberg and Joe Rogan at ringside.
Joe – ‘Welcome fans! Tonight the next chapter of the NWA, SHOOTING STARS WRESTLING, comes to you live and in living color from Waukesha, Wisconsin! (fans give this a huge pop) Mike, we got huge news right off the bat!’Mike – ‘We sure do, Joe. This is gonna be one hell of a show! We spoke with GM Shane McMahon right before we came on the air tonight, and right here tonight . . . wait, ya know what? Let’s just let him tell you. Ladies and Gentlemen, the General Manager of Shooting Stars Wrestling . . . Shane McMahon!!!!’‘HERE COMES THE MONEY’ hits and out comes Shane McMahon. Shane informs the crowd that tonight they are going to witness history. Tonight, four teams are going to square off to crown the very first SSW tag teams champions!!!! The four teams are going to be The Hart Foundation (the crowd boos loudly), Deuce & Domino (mixed reaction), the Motor City Machine Guns (mixed reaction), and the Gods of Gravity (huge pop)!!!!
Shane – ‘Before we came on the air tonight, the pairings for tonight’s tournament was determined by random drawing. It was decided that Deuce & Domino will face the Hart Foundation in the first match, and the Motor City Machine Guns and Gods of Gravity will square off in the 2nd, with the winners meeting each other in tonight’s main event for the tag belts!!!! And in the coming weeks, I will have an announcement about a new SSW title, but that is a story that can wait until later. But for now, sit back and fasten your seat belts because the next chapter of the NWA is going to give you a show like only they can! Enjoy!’We waist no time in going right up to the ring for our first action of the night, and a superstar making his debut here in SSW.
D-Lo Brown
Weight: 278 lbs
Hometown: Chicago, Illinois
Music: ‘You’re lookin at the real deal now’ WWE theme
Finisher: Low Down/ Sky High
-vs-
Joey Mercury
Weight 220 lbs
Hometown: Los Angeles, California
Music: ‘Beverly Hills’ by Weezer
Finisher: Rodeo DriverThis is a very competitive matchup to kick off the show. D-Lo has a great showing, but Mercury also impresses. After a few minutes of action, D-Lo reverses a Rodeo Driver attempt by Mercury and shoots him into the ropes, catching him coming out with the ‘Sky High’. D-Lo scales the ropes, flying off with the Low Down frog splash for the pin.
‘Here is your winner . . . D-Lo Brown’
After the match, Joel Gertner climbs in the ring to conduct an interview with D-Lo. D-Lo says that he has been a lot of places, and he is ready to break through that glass ceiling to the next level. He is in SSW for one reason, and that is the belt that Owen Hart has around his waist right now because D-Lo Brown is going to be a champion in the year 2008. This brings out Lance Storm, who interrupts and asks if he can be serious for a minute. D-Lo has been in SSW for one night and he is already trying to call the shots. No one in SSW but the Hart Foundation calls the shots! They have the Genesis title, and they will soon have the tag titles. D-Lo will never be anything other than the undercard to the Harts show. D-Lo invites Storm to the ring, but the lights go out and it starts raining gold glitter again as we go to break.

Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin)

Hometown: Detroit, Michigan
Music: ‘6 Barrell Shotgun’ by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
Finisher: Shellshock, Cradle ShockJoe and Mike go over the list of things that London & Kendrick have accomplished as they make their way out, including two-time PWG Northern tag team champions. They were even the No. 1 contenders for the World tag titles before their home promotion closed down, derailing their momentum. Joe says that he is glad to have them as part of SSW now, and they have a chance to wear gold again tonight. Meanwhile, we are going to see the in-ring debut of Alex Shelley and the first time Shelley and Sabin have teamed up officially. The action is furious in this one, and through the match some of the crowd shifts over to start cheering for the Machine Guns. Neither team has a solid advantage throughout this one, as the action continues to go back and forth the whole way. The finish comes when all four men end up fighting it out on the top rope as the Guns are going for a double super-plex. Kendrick climbs up there and breaks it up, but he and Sabin tumble from the top rope and crash to the floor outside. Shelley super-plexes London off, but when they hit London hooks Shelley’s legs in a cradle and gets a surprise 3 count!!!! As the ref counts 2, Shelley reaches out and grabs the bottom rope, but the ref does not see it and counts the pinfall anyway!!!!
Your winner . . . and advancing to the finals later tonight . . . Paul London & Brian Kendrick, the Gods of Gravity!
After the match, Shelley pleads his case to the ref but to no avail. The fans give the Motor City Machine Guns a standing ovation as they leave the ring, and Mike says that the fans have obviously forgotten about what the Guns did to Michael Shane when they ran him out of SSW.
A highlight package is shown for Mickie James vs. Beth Phoenix. It shows Idol Stevens hitting on Mickie, then telling Beth that it was Mickie that came onto him. It also shows them getting into it during an interview with Joel Gertner last week.Mickie James
Weight: 125 lbs
Hometown: Richmond, Virginia
Music: ‘Shut up and Drive’ by Rhianna
Finisher: Mick Kick/ Stratusfaction
- vs -
Beth Phoenix
Weight: 150 lbs
Hometown: Louisville, Kentucky
Music: ‘Control’ by Puddle of Mudd
Finisher: Beth Valley Driver/ Fisherman BusterThese two ladies tear into each other from the start, and the crowd is into this catfight. Beth is obviously more powerful, and she tosses Mickie to the outside and they fight out there for a little bit. Beth tries to finish Mickie off with the ‘Beth Valley Driver’, but Mickie reverses it into a tornado DDT. Mickie presses the advantage, but only gets a 2 count after a ‘Mick Kick’. Mickie goes for the Stratusfaction bulldog, but Beth sets her on the top rope. Mickie kicks her off, but as she perches herself on the top rope, Idol Stevens shoves her off to the mat below! The ref sees this and quickly calls for the bell
Your winner as a result of a disqualification . . . Mickie James
After the match, Idol gets in the ring and holds Mickie as Beth beats her down, and then he gives Mickie the ‘Idol-izer’!!!! Roderick Strong runs down to make the save for Mickie before any further damage can be done.
Joel Gertner interviews Austin Aries in the locker room. Gertner says that Danielson and Dragon were having a classic last week before he got involved. Aries says that he is the one who is the best Light Heavyweight wrestler in the world, he is the one that took Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger to the limit on the biggest stage of the year at Starrcade. Why are people not talking about him being in the title picture anymore? Just because he suffered a setback does not mean that his chase is over. He is here in SSW because he is going to prove himself again. This place is supposed to be the ‘next chapter’ but it is really just more of the same old shit! Aries is interrupted by Bryan Danielson, who challenges him to’ put his money where his mouth is’ next week. Aries accepts. - commercial break -

Deuce & Domino
manager: Cherry
Weight: 475 lbs
Hometown: The other side of the tracks
Music: generic 50's music
Finisher: Crack 'em in da MouthThe fans are torn for whom to hate, but they strangely lean toward Deuce & Domino, who are not quite sure how to react. With the fans behind them, Deuce & Domino control the early goings, but The Hart Foundation ends up trapping Domino in their corner and beating him down. Harry appears to finish Domino off with the running powerslam, but Deuce makes the save. Harry tags in Teddy Hart, but by now Domino has had time to recover and he rolls out of the way as Hart goes for a corkscrew moonsault! Domino makes the hot tag, and Deuce hits the ring and cleans house. He hits a leaping heel kick on Harry, then plants Teddy with the ‘Deuces Wild’. He has the pin, but Harry is there in the nick of time to break it up. All four men are brawling now, and Lance Storm comes down to ringside and slides a chair in to Teddy. However, the ref catches him with it and takes the chair from Teddy. Meanwhile, Cherry takes off one of her skates and tosses it in to Deuce. While the ref is putting the chair out of the ring, Deuce KO’s Teddy with the skate and falls on top for the 1 . . . 2 . . . 3!
Your winners and advancing to the finals . . . Deuce & Domino!!!!
The fans pop like crazy for the win by D & D, and they just go with it. Cherry hands them their leather jackets and they put them back on, playing to the crowd

Backstage, we see Deuce & Domino complaining to GM Shane McMahon that it is unfair that London & Kendrick had their match earlier, because now they have to turn around and wrestle again after a hard-fought match. Shane tells them that this is the big leagues and they need to suck it up. He says that they can always forfeit and go to the back of the line. Deuce’s temper gets the best of him and he actually tries to go after Shane, but Domino and Cherry hold him back. He quickly calms himself down. Domino is the voice of reason, and he says that is fine if that is the way it has to be. Elijah Burke

It is time for the main event, but before the match ‘HERE COMES THE MONEY’ hits and out comes Shane-o-mac. Shane says that the Royal Rumble is coming up in 3 weeks and the winner will get a shot at the NWA World Heavyweight title!!!! Now, SSW has not been in the game for very long, and this is our chance to make an Impact that will be felt through the entire NWA. So SSW is sending the big guns to the Rumble! Before Shane can announce who is going, the Hart Foundation music hits and out comes the SSW Genesis Champion Owen Hart and the rest of the Hart Foundation.
Owen says that if Shane is sending the ‘big guns’, then he needs to look no further than the Hart Foundation. Shane agrees, and he says that Owen will be in the Rumble because he is the SSW champion. He is going to be joined in the match by a man that will be making his return to in-ring action at the Rumble . . . John Cena! Owen is pissed, but Shane says that is not all. The NWA Board has granted SSW a 3rd entrant in the Rumble. Owen demands to know who it is, and Shane just tells him to watch the screen . . .
The camera focuses in on the image of a tattoo across someone’s chest. The letters are written in Old English style, and they clearly read ‘Straight Edge’. The camera pulls back to reveal CM PUNK! The fans go absolutely nuts!
Punk – ‘It is no secret to anyone out there just who I am. For those of you who don’t know, my name is C . . . M . . . Punk! And I’m ‘Straight Edge’. That means I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, and I don’t do drugs, which makes me simply better than anyone in SSW, because my only addiction is wrestling. So get ready SSW. You call yourself the next chapter? We’ll see about that because CM Punks star is on the rise. And it is only going up! See you at the Rumble boys.’
Punk crosses his arms over his chest in the ‘straight edge’ symbol as the promo fades out.Deuce & Domino

Gods of Gravity (Paul London & Brian Kendrick)
Weight: 385 lbs
Hometown: Olympia, Washington and Austin, Texas
Music: Danger: High Voltage by Electric 6
Finisher: London Calling (shooting star press) & Sliced Bread # 2The fans go from cheering for Deuce & Domino in the first match, to being solidly behind Gods of Gravity in this one. London and Kendrick dominate early on with quick tags and high-flying moves. GOG go for the quick win when Deuce gets hit with the ‘Sliced Bread # 2’ early on, but Domino is there to make the save in the nick of time. London comes in the ring but the ref cuts him off, allowing Deuce & Domino to hit a double team Russian legsweep on Kendrick. They take control of the match, beating down Kendrick in their corner. Deuce and Domino score several 2 counts, but Kendrick has a lot of fight left in him. Kendrick creates a break for himself, and makes the hot tag in to London. London takes out both Deuce & Domino with flying forearms, then hits a drop-sault on Deuce while landing on top of Domino. Kendrick is back up, and London runs at him and puts his foot in his hand and Kendrick lifts him in the air to execute a moonsault on Deuce. London gets a close 2 before Domino is back up to break up the pin. The match turns into a brawl, and somewhere in the chaos the ref gets knocked down. Cherry pulls off her skate and tosses it to Deuce, but London hits a springboard dropkick that knocks the skate out of his hand. Suddenly, the Motor City Machine Guns hit the ring!!!! But instead of going after London or Kendrick they hit their insane kicking combination (spinning kick to gut by Sabin, super kick by Shelley, then dual enziguri + super kick by both men) on Deuce! Deuce is out, and the Guns bail out. As the ref starts to stir, Shelley grabs Cherry’s skate and tosses it to Kendrick, who catches it out of instinct. Shelley immediately starts yelling at the ref, saying that Kendrick hit Deuce with the skate. The ref, seeing the skate in Kendrick’s hand and Deuce laid out, immediately calls for the bell.
Here are your winners . . . and neeeeeew, SSW tag team champions . . . Deuce and Domino!!!!
Shelley and Sabin back up the ramp, smiling and locking eyes with London and Kendrick. Shelley holds up one finger on each hand, signifying that they are even. Meanwhile, in the ring, Domino and Cherry grab the SSW tag belts and help Deuce up. Deuce is out of it as he holds up the tag belt, and the celebration continues as the show goes off the air.
