Progress Wrestling #10

         




As the show opens up, we quickly hear..






And out comes "The Almighty " Bobby Lashley!





 Bobby Lashley: "Last week I had The Undertaker locked in The Hurt Lock! He was dead to rights. No way he was getting out. Taker..... I heard you say you didn't need Seth Rollins..... but trust me when I say..... he saved your title reign! Which brings me to this...... Seth Rollins...... I know your here! Get your ass out here and face me like a man!"    









 Seth Rollins: "HAHAHAHAHA!!! Bob-O! Why so angry big guy? Your surely not mad at me curb stomping you are you? Bobby..... consider it an eye for an eye! While you may be Progress Wrestlings #1 draft pick, it was I they all had their money on being the Progress champion! But you ruined that didn't you? So me, being the Visionary that I am.... only returned the favor in your aspirations of becoming NWA World champion! I guess you might even say I cut the line so to speak because word on the street is that Undertaker now wants to defend that title against me! But don't worry Bobby, when I beat him, I will give you first Crack at......"      










Undertaker rides hos motorcycle out to the entrance ramp. Seth, who is trapped between him and Lashley in the ring, looks frightened. Taker hits the gas and drives towards Rollins! Seth freaks out and knows he has no choice but to jump the barricade through the fans to get away. Taker watches Seth run through the crowd then he looks at Lashley in the ring as we head to commercial.

We come back from break and see Lashley still in the ring, looking determined as ever, then out comes.....





 Carmelo Hayes: "Looks like you got all eyes you big dog! Good on ya! But the problem is, it's Mellos turn to shine right now. Cause we all know when I shoot my shot..... Mello don't miss! So why don't you run along and let me do my thang!"          




Carmello quickly kicks Lashley, but that only infuriates him. Lashley hits the ropes and turns him inside out with a clothesline. Lashley applies the Hurt Lock for the win.






Joey Styles: "Carmello Hayes may very well be the star of tomorrow! But he got his ass kicked today! We have a very angry Bobby Lashley on our hands folks..... and I personally wouldn't want to be Seth Rollins!"            




***COMMERCIAL BREAK ***





 FTR vs Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli w/William Regal for the Progress tag team titles            

Moxley and Wheeler getting inside for the opening bell as Hardwood and Castagnoli are brawling on the floor. Hardwood gets inside for a basement dropkick on Moxley but Castagnoli comes in to even things up.

Hardwood is sent outside and Wheeler is whipped into the buckle to put him down. A double big boot send Hardwood back to the floor and Moxley hits a dive. Everyone heads outside with Hardwood cracking a chair against a chair against Castagnoli.

Moxley getting beaten up with a chain. Castagnoli takes it away and unloads on Hardwood in the corner before Swinging the bloody Wheeler. Castagnoli and Hardwood brawl, leaving Moxley to elbow Wheeler in the face over and over. Hardwood makes the save and the 4 men continue to brawl as the ref loses control and calls for a double DQ!









Renee Young: "Fans, joining me at this time..... he is your 2023 Gold Rush tournament winner..... Shelton Benjamin! Congrats goes out to you Sir! Very impressive win in that tournament with wins over Eddie Guerrero. Arn Anderson,  and Rick Rude! That's no easy day at the office. But as you know, we have a brand new NWA World tv champion in Chris Adams! And you have a contract to wrestle him any time you choose."      





 Shelton Benjamin: "That's the beauty of this contract..... you just never know when or where I may show up to cash it in! There's great talent all around the NWA ...... especially in that world tv division......but no matter who Chris Adams defends against, he's always gonna have to be watching to see where I'm at. As a matter of fact Renee...... I think I may show up next week in the UWF and introduce myself to Adams personally!"      




***COMMERCIAL BREAK ***





We come back from break and see "The American Nightmare " Cody Rhodes making his way to the ring......




 Cody Rhodes: "Sooooo..... Progress Wrestling.... what do you wanna talk about? We could talk about the Great American Bash tour! We could talk about the weather? Or something tells me you may wanna talk about my surprise appearance last week at the Bash! That fine with you all? Because I would love to talk about that too. See there'd one guy here in Progress Wrestling running roughshod and that's the Progress Heavyweight champion.......... Walter! A man who doesn't like our great country very much. And he's also the man, that I'm personally challenging to a match for that Progress Heavyweight title!"    



The fans pop then out comes....... Walter!





 Walter: "How very American of you to come out here and try to ride my coattails! Since the inception of Progress Wrestling,  there has been no one who can stop me! No one who can defeat me! I have made that Wrestling mat..... sacred! A place of honor. And for you to come here unannounced and to have done absolutely nothing to deserve a shot at my title is absurd! Typical American way...... wanting the hand out. My answer to you is....... NO! You want a shot at thos Progress title..... you start your way from the bottom and you earn it! Your family name does nothing for me!"      



Walter turns to leave back towards the dressing room but is attacked by Matt Riddle! Walter and Riddle fight until security breaks it up. Progress GM, Pat McAfee comes out and says that Walter will defend against Riddle tonight in our Main Event!

As we come back from break we see Shinsuke Nakamura leading a newcomer here to Progress to the ring......



  Match Three: Kenosuke Takeshita vs Bronson            

Bronson and Takeshita traded chops. Takeshita landed a leg lariat on Bronson. Bronson slowed Takeshita’s momentum down with a Bossman Slam. Takeshita turned the tables with a Blue Thunder Bomb. Bronson planted Takeshita with a pump-handle suplex. Takeshita rallied with a kick in the corner and then won the match after hitting knee strike.






Renee Young: "Impressive debut win for Kenosuke Takeshita! Shinsuke, we understand you have taken him under your wing so to speak?          




 Shinsuke Nakamura: "Please excuse Takeshita-san...... he no speak the English very good! But yes, I have taken him to guide here in Progress!"            


 Renee Young: "We look forward to seeing what he can achieve here. But Shinsuke,  I would be remiss if I didn't ask about the elephant in the room. That being the challenge made to you from Samoa Joe to face him at Saturday Nights Main Event..... inside a steel.cage for your Progress Atlas title?"    


 Shinsuke Nakamura: "MY answer very simple Renee....... I accept!"          

 Renee Young: "There you have it fans..... it's official! Samoa Joe vs Shinsuke Nakamura at Saturday Nights Main Event for the Progress Atlas title inside a steel cage!"

We come back from break to see Adam Cole  and The Young Bucks in the ring!






 Adam Cole: "ITS STORY TIME WITH ADAM COLE..... BAY BAY! The entire wrestling world is talking about it...... the Elites victory in War Games! Nobody...... not a one of you...... gave us a chance to win. But here we are in all of our glory! Bucks..... didn't I tell you guys? We was going to run the wrestling business! And now that we have finally put Shawn Michaels behind us, we can get back to the original plan...... and that Randy Savage and that NWA National title.  Matt..... Nick..... you guys did great in War Games! But there was nothing better than me Siperkicking Roman Reigns in the face to get us that win. I can finally concentrate on defeating Savage now and winning that National title. Im on fire baby!! So Matt...... why not do me a solid and give me your match against Savage tomorrow night?"      



Matt looks confused! He and Nick share some words the camera can't pick up as Cole awaits Matt's answer.



 Matt Jackson: "Are you kidding me Adam? You do realize that I'm the only man who has beaten Savage since he win the National title? This one isnt about you Adam! Im....I'm..... I'm not giving you my title shot!. I beat Savage before without you..... and i will do it again...... on my own!"                



Now Cole looks just as surprised at Matt's answer! The Bucks, again, do some chatting then look at Cole......and leave him all alone in the ring!

 Main Event: Matt Riddle vs Walter for the Progress Heavyweight title            

The bell rings, and they lock up. Riddle quickly grabs the arm, but Walter twists out. Walter backs Riddle to the corner and rocks his chest with a pair of VICIOUS chops. Walter talks trash and pie faces him. Riddle fights back and goes for a guillotine. Walter tries to get Riddle on his shoulders, but Riddle transitions into a sleeper hold attempt. Walter flips Riddle off his back and goes for a rear naked choke. Riddle fights out and goes for an armbar. Walter rolls Riddle up to counter it for a two-count. Walter ducks a kick, and Riddle flips through a back suplex. Riddle catches Walter with a flying triangle choke attempt, but Walter fights it. Walter powers Riddle up, but Riddle elbows him and pulls him over the top rope. Riddle kicks Walter in the chest from the apron. Riddle charges and jumps off the steel steps, but Walter chops him out of midair. Walter then hits a stiff scoop slam on the floor.

Riddle hit Walter with a top rope superplex. Both men get to their feet and exchange STIFF chops. Riddle kicks Walter’s arm away, but Walter still chops him. Riddle knocks him  to the corner with an overhead kick. Riddle hits a pair of running forearms in the corner before going for an exploder. Walter fights it and hits an uppercut. Riddle manages to catch him with an exploder before kicking him in the spine. Walter blocks a kick and KILLS Riddle with a chop. Riddle fights back with some kicks, but Walter continues to crush him with chops. Walter hits a German Suplex. Riddle pops up, so Walter decapitated him with a lariat for a near fall.

Riddle catches Walter with a ripcord knee before hitting a second knee to the face. Riddle knees him in the back of the head and covers for a near fall. 1......2......NO!  Riddle shouts in frustration. Riddle steps on Walter and goes to the top rope. Riddle goes for a Floating Bro, but Walter gets the knees up. Walter catches him with a Tyrannosaurus Dropkick and follows up with a Powerbomb for the victory. And STILLLLLL PROGRESS HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION........ WALTER!!!!!
