We go to Mauro Renallo & Renee Young at ringside, who recap last weeks episode and set up what we are going to see tonight ....

MVP comes out and brags about what he did to Kenny King last week and how he cost AJ Styles the Atlas title .... he says he told King he didn’t want to be his partner and go back to in-ring action .... King wouldn’t stop .... so he gave in and then King let him down .... He promised AJ Styles that he would not be the Atlas champion, and he is a man of his word .... AJ comes out of the crowd and attacks MVP, but security hits the ring and restrains AJ .... they put him in cuffs, but then MVP backs them off and beats down AJ while he’s in handcuffs .... MVP tells them to get AJ out of his building ....
**** IN THE BACK ****
MVP gets back to his office and there is someone in his chair with their back to him.... MVP is like ‘wtf’ and then the chair spins around to reveal JBL! MVP tells him to get out of his office but JBL is there representing management to inform MVP that he will face Kenny King tonight!!!! MVP says JBL doesn’t give him orders, and JBL says the orders didn’t come from him .... he hands MVP a sheet of paper and MVP reads it, then knows the orders are legit .... JBL smiles and blows smoke in MVP’s face from his cigar and leaves with MVP coughing and hacking .... **** 1. Lacey Evans def. Mia Yim .... ****Evans wins a highly competitive matchup with a reversal of a sunset flip into a pin .... POST MATCH: Evans gets the mic and talks about getting back in the game and she calls out Shayna Baszler .... Out comes the Horsewomen led by Baszler .... Evans calls them ‘nasties’ and tries to get nose to nose with Baszler, but Duke & Shafir step between them .... Baszler backs them off and holds her title up in the face of Evans .... Mia Yim attacks Evans from behind and lays her out with Protect Ya Neck .... Yim and Baszler stare each other down, but Baszler instructs the Horsewomen to move out of her way and let Yim pass ....

Charlotte Flair promo airs .... Charlotte talks about her childhood and her friendship with Tessa Blanchard .... We see highlights of their wrestling debut as Fourtune .... Charlotte talks about her road back, saying that an imposter sits on the throne and the Queen is coming for her crown .... **** 2. Matt Riddle def. Jordan Myles (ACH) .... ****Riddle issues another open challenge, this time accepted by Myles .... Myles takes the fight to Riddle, nearly pulling off the win at several points .... Myles hits the Midnight Star but Riddle holds onto him and locks in the Bro-mission for the tapout win as Myles has nowhere to go .... POST MATCH: Riddle shakes hands with Myles and the people give him a standing ovation .... Riddle leaves the ring to Myles, but Austin Theory comes out of the crowd and attacks Myles from behind! Theory grabs a mic and says he is the best recruit in the performance center and there is a reason Riddle picks everyone BUT him because he knows he can beat Riddle .... Riddle comes back to the ring to make the save for Myles, but Theory bails out and refuses to fight Riddle ‘tonight’ ....
**** 3. Candice LeRae def. Britt Baker M.D., Naomi & Bianca BelAir in a 4 corner survival match .... ****Great action here as Baker looks like she is about to win after hitting the Britt Buster on Naomi, but Candice comes in and breaks it up .... Candice hits a tilt a whirl into the Gargano-escape and gets the tapout on Naomi to win the match .... POST MATCH: Baker gets on the mic and says Candice stole the win from her and she couldn’t beat her one on one .... she challenges Candice to a singles match next week ....

MVP talks to Ricochet and says he’s the guy that he brought in to replace AJ Styles .... Ricochet says he returned to Progress because he has unfinished business .... he appreciates the opportunity and the zeros on his paycheck, but he’s not here for MVP So he’s on his own tonight .... MVP walks off and Alicia asks what are his goals? The United States title .... Roderick Strong interrupts and says now this is HIS moment .... everyone wants to walk through the door and jump to the head of the line but the line starts with Roderick Strong .... Ricochet says we will see later on tonight ....Up next, Bobby Lashley comes out along with Bill Alphonso .... Lashley cuts a promo on Randy Orton and says everyone is coming to Progress to ride his coattails .... he is the alpha male in Progress and he has proved it while guys like Edge and Orton haven’t proven anything .... This brings out Edge and he says he stood here last week for the first time and said that this was his damn show now .... Lashley says Edge is wrong because he runs this place ....
Edge hits the ring and we get a brawl .... Edge gets a brief advantage, but Randy Orton hits the ring and lays out Edge with an RKO OUTTA NOWHERE!!!! Orton smiles at Lashley, but escapes the ring before Lashley can get his hands on him ....
**** IN THE BACK ****
Street Profits are dripping in swag backstage .... Ford says the Profits want a title shot against War Machine .... The Briscoes interrupt the comedy segment and ask why they think they deserve a shot .... Dawkins says because they are the one team around here that hasn’t lost to War Machine, unlike the Briscoes .... this leads to both teams agreeing on a match for next week ....**** 4. The ONE% (Roderick Strong, Kyle O’Reilley & Bobby Fish) def. United States Champion Johnny Gargano, ‘The Machine’ Brian Cage & Ricochet in a 6 Man tag match .... ****Cage accidentally takes out Gargano at one point in the match, teasing dissent .... Gargano comes back with a superkick to Cage allowing Redragon to to hit Total Elimination and Strong hits End of Heartache but Cage still kicks out!!!! Gargano teases walking out of the match in frustration, but instead he returns to the ring to break up a pin attempt on Cage! Cage battles back and catches O’Reilley coming off the top in mid-air and turns it into the Drillclaw, but Strong pulls Cage to the floor before the 3 count .... Gargano with a suicide dive takes out BOTH Strong & Cage! Gargano fires up now, and hits the Slingshot DDT on O’Reilley and then he locks on the Gargano Escape but Fish breaks it up .... Chasing the Dragon on Gargano! Ricochet takes out Fish & O’Reilley, then goes up top and hits the 630! Strong slides in and tosses Ricochet, then hits the End of Heartache on Gargano for the 3 count! ....POST MATCH: Cage, Ricochet & Gargano argue .... Cage and Gargano get into it and Ricochet tries to play peacemaker nut Cage takes out both Gargano & Ricochet! Gargano & Cage start brawling, but Cage blocks the slingshot DDT and F-5’s Gargano to the floor! Ricochet is back up and Cage charges but Ricochet low bridges the top rope sending Cage to the floor! SPRINGBOARD SHOOTING STAR PRESS takes out Gargano & Cage on the floor! Ricochet stands tall ....
**** 5. Montel Vontavious Porter (MVP) vs. Kenny King .... ****The main event is supposed to be Kenny King vs. MVP but King comes out on crutches .... MVP is laughing at his handiwork, but JBL comes back out and says he will not be facing King, instead he will face AJ STYLES! .... MVP looks like he’s about to shit his pants as AJ comes out!!!! **** 6. Montel Vontavious Porter (MVP) vs. AJ Styles .... ****Wild brawl to start with AJ dominating .... MVP turns the tide and works AJ over, and at one point attacks JBL at ringside! .... Kenny King is at ringside, and MVP attacks him and takes his crutch, but JBL comes back and takes MVP out with the clothesline from hell!!!! AJ locks on the calf crusher, forcing MVP to finally tap out ....Afrer the match, JBL says he has one more thing he forgot to tell MVP, and that is he has been removed from his position as Director of Wrestling Operations!!!! JBL lays MVP out with one more clothesline from Hell to end the show ....
