- Finn Balors epic win in the Fatal 4 Way Iron Man Match to become the 1st Atlas Champion is shown .... * * * * OPENING SEGMENT * * * *
MVP starts off the show already in the ring and introduces the new Atlas Champion FINN BALOR! Balor gets a great reaction and is dressed in a suit and tie and looking very professional .... Balor thanks MVP and says he takes being the standard bearer for Progress very seriously .... MVP congratulates Balor and announces that the Atlas title will be defended for the first time at Progress: VENDETTA ....
Before MVP can announce Balors opponent, they are interrupted by AJ STYLES! AJ shakes Balors hand, but then things get heated as AJ says Balor doesn’t deserve the title because if AJ had a half a second longer he would be the champ instead .... Balor says the fact is that AJ DIDN’T have half a second longer though, and the final score is all that matters .... Balor told AJ on the first Progress show that he would be the one to lead this company into the future and all these months later he’s the one standing here with the gold to prove it while AJ is standing there with nothing .... AJ says Balor is a thief and he stole the win, and that’s what matters ....
MVP steps in between them and tries to calm things down .... AJ tells MVP to make the match for VENDETTA, AJ vs BALOR for the title .... MVP says ‘if it don’t make dollars, it don’t make sense’ and he sees nothing but dollar signs here .... he is set to announce that AJ will get his title shot at VENDETTA when ....
Out come AUSTIN ARIES and RODERICK STRONG!!!! Aries is eating a banana while Strong cuts a promo and asks why AJ would get another title shot when he just had his chance at the Bash and didn’t get the job done .... Aries takes the mic and says meanwhile, guys like Aries and Strong are forced to sit in the back and watch the ‘same old shit’ on a 19 inch monitor because creative can’t find anything for them .... Aries asks why aren’t they getting these opportunities? Oh yeah, it’s because MVP doesn’t know what he’s doing and doesn’t know how to use talent!
MVP says he gives opportunities so he’s going to give one tonight .... he books a tag match for later tonight, and it will be Strong & Aries vs. Balor & AJ ....

Evans comes out wearing her crown and sash from the Queen of the Ring and she prances around like a beauty pageant winner .... She continues to build momentum coming off her Queen of the Ring win, and pins Storie here following the ‘Woman’s Right’ in a squash .... POST MATCH - Evans cuts a promo .... her character is so over the top as the disingenuous Southern Belle .... She calls out Ember Moon, saying she will be the next Women’s Universal Champion ....
This brings out the Universal Champion Ember Moon to the Ring! Moon asks her to cash in her title shot any time she wants and she will be ready .... Evans declines, saying it will be on her terms, not Moons .... She is an inspiration to all women out there, and when she cashed in she will show her daughter that you can do anything you set your mind to at ANY TIME you set your mind to it ....

A limo pulls up in the parking deck and US Champion The Miz and Maryse get out and head inside the arena * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *BACKSTAGE: ALICIA ATOUT interviews THE ROTTWEILERS w/ Salina De La Renta
Salina talks about the insane street fight with the Wolves and says after what The Rottweilers did that makes them the most dangerous tag team in Progress .... She says War Machine doesn’t need to worry about the UWF World tag titles, they need to worry about keeping their belts away from the Rottweilers .... Salina is interrupted by Eddie Kingston .... Everyone seems to know who Kingston is, but they are surprised he’s there .... Kingston and Salina wall off together, leaving Low Ki and Homicide sort of surprised as the camera follows Kingston and Salina walking off and talking quietly ....**** ‘All American-American’ Jack Swagger def. ‘Thrillseeker’ Matt Cappoteli **** .... .... Cappotelli is still showing signs of the injured shoulder suffered in the Survival of the Fittest .... Swagger attacks the shoulder, but Cappotelli fights back, scoring a near fall after a Superkick .... Swagger posts the injured shoulder of Cap, then finishes him with the Doctor Bomb for the 3 count .... POST MATCH - Swagger continues the attack, but MOOSE’S music hits .... he comes out and gets in the face of Swagger, who backs down and leaves .... The crowd chants for Moose ....
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *Up next, we get an in-ring segment with the Submission Sorority .... Things are heated between Shayna Baszler and Nicole Savoy because Baszler attacked Savoy and eliminated her from the Queen of the Ring .... Savoy calls Baszler out on it, and Baszler tells her she did what she did because Savoy is weak .... She calls Savoy a loser, and not only did she lose she shook Ember Moons hand afterwards like it was ok that she lost ....
Savoy walks out on the Sorority, but Baszler attacks her again .... she slaps on the Kirafuda Clutch and chokes Savoy out .... Sonya Deville is too intimidated to do anything and she just kind of stands by and watches it happen .... With Savoy out of it, Baszler sets her up and STOMPS THE ARM!!!! Trainers immediately rush in to check on Savoy, who looks like her arm is broken .... Baszler isn’t done, and she grabs a chair from ringside .... The EST’s MUSIC HITS!
Bianca BelAir has the mic and says that Baszler is good at attacking people (She attacked BelAir after BelAir eliminated her from the Queen of the Ring) but if she wants a fight BelAir ain’t scared .... We get an impromptu match!!!!
**** (Shimmer tag team champions) The EST (Bianca BelAir & Naomi) def. Submission Sorority (Shayna Baszler & Sonya Deville) **** .... .... we get a moment at the beginning where we get BelAir vs Baszler before Baszler rags out to Deville .... Later in the match BelAir repeats her spot from the Queen of the Ring where she has BOTH Baszler and Deville on her shoulders at the same time for a double Death Valley Driver, but Baszler slips off .... BelAir still delivers the DVD to Deville, but this allows Baszler locks on the Kirafuda Clutch! Naomi breaks it up with the rear view! Naomi takes both her and Baszler over the top with a clothesline, and Deville tries for a shining wizard on BelAir but BelAir catches her legs in mid air and powers her up into a power bomb! BelAir up top and hits the 450 splash for the pin! .... POST MATCH - Baszler is pissed after the match and she walks off leaving Deville in the ring ....

Moose cuts a promo on Jack Swagger and tells him if he wants to pick on someone that ISN’T injured then he can fight him next week .... In the next segment, the new United States Champion The Miz comes out accompanied by Maryse .... Miz wants to introduce everyone to wrestling’s power couple .... He puts over Maryse and then runs down Johnny Gargano, saying that all is right with the world now that he has erased Johnny’s little fluke win and got ‘his’ title back ....
Out comes Johnny Gargano to a BIG pop .... ‘JOHNNY WRESTLING!’ chants .... Johnny cuts to the chase and says Miz would not have won the title without Maryse .... Johnny wants his rematch for the title .... Miz asks Johnny to just ‘go away’ now because his 15 minutes are fame are up .... He tells Johnny ‘you’re welcome’ because being in the ring with an A-List Star has made Gargano famous .... Miz and Gargano start brawling, but Maryse gets involved and low blows Gargano! SKULL KRUSHING FINALE!!!! Miz and Maryse get the best of Gargano again, and they kiss at the top of the ramp after laughing at Johnny down in the ring ....

Cage continues his dominance here, and the announcers put over that Cage was never pinned or submitted during the 4 way Iron Man Match .... He was the only man in the match not to suffer a loss .... Cage is all business and dominates here, putting Woods away with the Weapon X .... ANNOUNCEMENT:
It is announced that Johnny Gargano will get his United States title rematch against The Miz next week ....* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ***** Austin Aries & Roderick Strong def. (Atlas Champion) Finn Balor & AJ Styles by countout**** .... .... AJ and Finn work well together for a while, controlling early .... Aries and Strong get the heat on Balor and he takes the punishment .... he tries to make the hot tag to AJ, but Aries pulls AJ off the apron just before Balor can make the tag .... Balor battles back, but AJ gets up and tags himself in .... Balor takes exception and the 2 argue about AJ not being there to tag him earlier .... BALOR AND AJ START FIGHTING!!!! Aries & Strong come in but AJ & Balor take them out! Balor sends AJ outside and then hits a dive over the top rope onto all 4 men!!!! Balor and AJ brawl up the ramp, and the ref counts them out as they are fighting! .... POST MATCH - The Progress locker room empties and they are trying to separate AJ & Balor .... MVP comes out and tries to break up the situation, and as the two are finally pulled apart he makes the official announcement that Balor will defend the Atlas title against Styles at Progress: VENDETTA ....
