With your hosts Kevin Kelly & Professor Toru Tanaka.
(Show opens with the Young Lion Match of the Week where we feature some of the young guys coming up in the company.)
YOUNG LION MATCH
Yohei Komatsu vs Taiji Ishimori
.....VS.....
Yohei makes his RSW debut tonight. He has been training in the Dojo for a while now. Ishimori is young but full of promise and is one of the more advanced of the the Young Lions. They Mat wrestle for a bit with Komatsu showing a lot of solid technique. Ishimori though is cat like with his reflexes and speed and is able to catch Yohei with a Flying Headcissors then a Japanese Arm Drag. He goes for a scoop slam but Komatsu floats out and nails Taiji with a dropkick.
He then gives him a backbreaker and goes right into a Boston Crab. But Taiji gets to the ropes. Komatsu looks to German Suplex him back to the center of the ring but its blocked. Taiji then lifts him and nails a Death Valley Driver. Then hits Telaraña (Hammerlock cradle DDT). He gets the 3 count.
Winner: Taiji Ishimori
Kelly: Hello everyone, I'm Kevin Kelly and this is Rising Sun Wrestling. I am here with my broadcast partner, The Professor, Toru Tanaka. Toru in this weeks Young Lions match it was Taiji Ishimori with an impressive win over a very game Yohei Komatsu.
Toru: Hai. These are two of my favorite of the Young Lions here. But Taiji was the better man this evening.
Kelly: We saw Ishimori on our opening 8 man match at our FULL ALERT show. And that is a show everyone is talking about. Especially about the Main Event where KENTA and the Blonde Bashers got a measure of revenge on the Kingdom.
Toru: It was a very exciting affair. But in the end The Kingdom found out that everything will not be so easy for them here.
Kelly: Well that wasn't the end of their conflict. Because at GLORY, in the finals of the Lucha Underground Cup we saw Mike Bennett cost KENTA the match in a just appalling attack.
(Highlights are shown of KENTA and the Blonde Bombers victory. Then we see the attack at GLORY from Mike Bennett. Then we hear from KENTA.)
KENTA: At FULL ALERT my team was successful in our 6-Man Challenge. Even though I did not get the pinfall. We did work together and defeated the Kingdom. That should have been it. But then at GLORY, my FIRST UWF PPV appearance... Mike Bennett cowardly attacked me and cost me the victory. To go further they injured my knee. Luckily I will not need surgery but it has me hampered and I must try to rehab it. Mike Bennett... The Kingdom... You have now dishonored yourselves and have crossed me. This will not go unanswered. I know we are involved in the Tag Tournament. But make no mistake this is far from over. You can be sure I will be coming for you. And when I get my revenge you will never want to cross paths with me again.
Kelly: Well before we go any further lets hear from our Boss, Antonio Inoki, as he has some news concerning RSW in December and the SUNSET Show.
Inoki: Hello Kevin & hello fans. In the month of December we will be doing the Grand Prix Tag Team Tournament. It will be a tournament of 16 Teams and the winner of this tournament will be crowned the RSW Tag Team Champions. We will have a few shows leading up to our SUNSET Show. When we get to the final 4 teams they will wrestle at SUNSET and then the winners will be in the Main Event to crown the RSW Champions.
Toru: Inoki-san. This is very big news. Do we have the 16 teams named?
Inoki: Hai Tanaka-san. We will now show a graphic showing the entrants on the screen.
Authors of Pain Yuji Nagata & Yoshi Tatsu Blonde Bashers Daisuke Sekimoto & KENTA Noam Dar & David Finlay Jr Minoru Suzuki & Taka Michinoku Sanada & EVIL Watanabe Go Shiozaki & Shingo Takagi Naomichi Marufuji & Kaz Hayashi Tetsuya Bushi & Kamaitachi Dragon Lee & Taiji Ishimori Akira Tozawa & Yujiro Takahashi Speed Muscle Yoshi Hashi & Hirooki Goto Mike Bennett & Cody Hall BxB HULK & CIMA
Kelly: There are a lot of interesting teams in there. One that struck me immediately was the pairing of KENTA & Daisuke Sekimoto. But really looking over this list any of these teams could win this.
Inoki: Yes we are very excited for this Grand Prix Tag Team Tournament. We will have a 2 additional shows Labeled "THE ROAD TO SUNSET" Beginning December 3rd.
Toru: Will we have other matches on these shows?
Inoki: Not on Night 1, which is December 3rd. But on the next show we will have 3 Women's Triangle matches. The winners will then face each other in a Triangle Match at SUNSET to be crowned our first Women's Champion.
Kelly: Wow! That is big news! And the first I heard of this. SUNSET is going to crown not 1 but 2 champions here in RSW. This is going to be great! Thank you Mr Inoki. Now switching back to FULL ALERT let's take a look at what happened between Yuji Nagata and Go Shiozaki.
(Highlights from Shiozaki's win over Nagata are shown. Then a promo from Go Shiozaki.)
Shiozaki: Hah. So the big, bad Yuji Nagata fell to me at FULL ALERT. And you fools are surprised? Why? Look at me. I am the supreme fighter in RSW and in all Japan as well. I am going to prove that. First by winning the Tag Team Championship with Shingo Takagi then winning every other title that Inoki wants to create. Check your watches... It's GO TIME!
(We see highlights of Ayako Hamada's victory over young Hana Kimura)
Kelly: Toru, we spoke about this last show. Hana Kimura may not have been victorious but she showed no intimidation from Hamada.
Toru: I questioned her intellect going into that match. But I have to say now. I am becoming a fan of hers. She took the fight to one of the best fighters in the Womens division. Yes she failed but she showed courage and heart. And while her brash nature may turn some against her, it is something I have taken a liking to.
Kelly: Well we know she is one of the 9 women vying for the RSW Women's Championship. Let's see the others.
Ayako Hamada HZK Candy Cartwright Hana Kimura Kagetsu Yumi Ohka Raquel Hiroyo Matsumoto Io Shirai
Toru: I see one name there that intersts me greatly.
Kelly: I can take a guess at who that is, Toru. Io Shirai is here in RSW. And she is here in our Spotlight Match of the Night.
SPOTLIGHT MATCH
Starlight Kid VS Io Shirai
....VS....
Starlight Kid is just 16 years old. Although very young and green she has a ton of potential. She gets in a dropkick and a Victory Roll attempt in but the rest of this was all Io. She gives Kid a Double Arm Facebuster. Then hits a Royal Suplex (Bridging package German suplex). 1.. 2.. 3.
Winner: Io Shirai
(After the match Mao interviews Io Shirai in the ring.)
Mao: Io, welcome to RSW.
Io Shirai: Thank you. It is good to be back home in Japan.
Mao: You had an impressive run in XWA as part of Trinity. Now you are here and you are one of 9 women entered to try to win the Women's Championship. Are you ready for the challenge?
Shirai: I am most definitely ready, In the states I was wrestling mostly as a Tag Team. I think my skills have improved and I am ready to begin my ascension to the top. What better way to celebrate my return home than with becoming the first RSW Women's Champion?
Mao: I can't think of one. Good luck Io.
Toru: I was a huge fan of the Trinity group and especially Io. I look forward to seeing her compete here. But there are some very tough women in this challenge.
Kelly: That there are. Women like HZK, Hamada & Candy Cartwright of Cutie Pie Club. This will be impossible to predict. Going back to the Grand Prix Tag Tourny a team entered there is Noam Dar & David Finlay Jr. We saw them at FULL ALERT defeating CIMA and Sho Tanaka.
Toru: Hai. This man Dar, he has come here to RSW without much fanfare. An unknown element. But he is showing everyone that he belongs here and now he and his partner have a chance to become RSW Tag Team Champions.
Kelly: Let's show you how they got the win at FULL ALERT.
(Highlights are shown Dar & Finlay Jr's win.)
Kelly: Well before we get to our Main Event I wanted to speak a little about what happened with Naomichi Marufuji and his open challenge.
Toru: I was very excited to see who would take him up on this challenge. How was I to know I would be surpised not once... but 2 times.
Kelly: Well my partneris referring to the fact that the challenge was answered by one Takashi Iizuka. And in a wild match Marufuji was able to gain the win. But there was more to come.. Let's take a look.
(We see the close of Marufuji's victory over Izuka. Then the attack as a 2nd challenger, one Shingo Takagi, made his presence felt and defeated and already worn down Marufuji. Then we hear from Shingo Takagi.)
Takagi: When I heard the open challenge made by Marufuji I was enraged by the sheer hubris. You think yu are so special that you can just face anyone and defeat them just like that? Well you faced me... and you lost. I hear people like Professor Toru Tanaka say I showed no honor? That is false I was defending the honor of every Japanese Wrestler out there who was dismissed by this boastful claim. Now maybe a man like Marufuji will learn to think before he speaks or he could be in line to get put down by me once more.
(Then we see Marufuji run-in and attack Takagi. Marufuji is raining punches on him as security and others are trying to separate them.)
Kelly: That was insane! Takagi certainly has a different take on the events from FULL ALERT but as you just saw Naomichi Marufuji is not going to just let that lie. We are far from seeing this confrontation ending.
Toru: I stand by what I said at FULL ALERT. He showed no honor.
Kelly: Well it's time for our Main Event
MAIN EVENT: Tetsuya Bushi w/ Mio Shirai VS BxB HULK (0-1)
.....VS.....
One of the members of The Sadist Colony against the popular HULK. Bushi is the smallest of the group but poosibly the most vicious. He quickly seizes control of the action and is standing on the neck of HULK in the corner. He releases at 4. Then Whips him to the far buckle He charges but HULK catches him and sits him on the top rope and gets dropkicked off it and to the floor.. Bushi is on the outside as BxB goes to the apron and hits a running Backsplash into him.
Action returns to the ring. HULK hits a Springboard spinning heel kick. He covers 1.. 2.. NO. He goes for a Running senton but misses. Bushi kicks HULK in the small of the back. Then gives him an Atomic Backbreaker. Then locks in an STF. HULK struggles to the ropes. Bushi stays on him and nails a Rolling Wheel Kick. He goes up for the MX. But BxB counters it and Slingshots him into the turnbuckle. He hits him with EVO (Pumphandle Sitout Side Powerslam)! 1.. 2.. NO!
Bushi stomps down on Bushi then goes up for the BxB Star Press. But Mio is there grabbing at his leg. Distracting him. The referee warns to get away now when HULK gets ready to jump he is ht with the Black Mist from Bushi. Most wrestlers who spit mist just blind their opponents but Bushi's does more than that it burns and causes extreme pain. HULK is writhing in pain. Bushi goes up and waits... MX (Diving double knee facebreaker)! 1.. 2.. 3!
Winner: Tetsuya Bushi
(Bushi and Mio survey the damage done to BxB then make their way from the ring as medical personnel are trying to wash out HULK's eyes.)
Kelly: Well like thier name implies that was just a sadistic way to win a match, Toru..
Toru: You have to be aware of this when you face any member of this faction. They like hurting their foes possibly more than just defeating them.
Kelly: Still doesn't make it right in my opinion but alas Bushi is the winner and that is our show. So now look for Road to SUNSET Day 1 coming from the Shin-Kiba 1st RING in Tokyo, Japan on December 3rd. Then Day 2 will be Decmber 12th from the Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium in Osaka and the SUNSET coming to you December 28th from Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. For the Professor Toru Tanaka, I'm Kevin Kelly... Arigato & Oyasumi.
