Live . . . from the Kirby Center in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania . . . this is . . .

Shooting Stars Wrestling #108 - 'The Price of Fame' SSWlogo

SHOOTING . . . STARS . . . WRESTLING !!!!

The screen goes black and we hear the fans chanting ‘S-S-W!  S-S-W!’

We get a highlight package of the AJ STYLES/ CM PUNK feud, starting at the beginning when AJ cost Punk the SSW Genesis title, going all the way up through AJ’S 2 big wins over Punk and putting him out of action, then Punk returning and costing AJ a shot at the Genesis title and TV title in consecutive matches.  The promo ends with a shot of the steel cage hanging above the ring, hyping their cage match tonight.

The opening montage starts us off as ‘INSIDE THE FIRE’ by Disturbed hits.  The camera comes up on the crowd pumping their fists and chanting, and the strobe lights go off on the ramp.  The camera scans the crowd, focusing in on several signs in the audience.

Josh Matthews is in the ring, and he wants to bring out the new SSW Genesis Champion . . . JOHN MORRISON!!!!  Morrison comes out to a big pop, and he cuts a promo on how SSW is all about opportunity.  Over a year ago, he got an opportunity to be the SSW tag champions, and even though it was with the Miz, he cashed in on that chance.  About 3 months ago, he got the opportunity to become the TV champion and he made the most of that opportunity.  And last week, he had another opportunity to reach up and grab that brass ring, and he did it and in the process became the first Grand Slam champion in SSW history!!!!

Morrison is interrupted as the lights in the arena go out and a graphic flashes on the big screen . . .

Shooting Stars Wrestling #108 - 'The Price of Fame' Mtv_logo

On the big screen we see The Miz seated in a directors chair, with the Hollywood sign in the background.  Miz says that he is here for Morrison’s ‘Reality Check’.  In this world there are winners and losers, and somehow Morrison has convinced the idiots in the audience that he is a winner.  Morrison has one person to thank for getting where he is today and that is the Miz.  He took Morrison from nothing and made him someone just by being his tag team partner and carrying him during their tag title reign.  He shows a picture of Luke Skywalker and Yoda from EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, but his face is super-imposed on Luke’s body and Morrison on Yoda’s.  This is the only illustration he could find that shows the way he carried Morrison.  Morrison may have the belt right now, but that is going to change very soon.  Next week, he is going to make his debut and he is calling Morrison out right now!  Because he’s the Miz . . . and he’s . . . AWESOME!!!!  BE JEALOUS!!!!’

Commercial Break

Back from break, Mike and Joe are hyping tonight's steel cage showdown and the SSW tag title match when Prince Nana's music hits.  Out comes Nana accompanied by the same two men that made their first appearance last week and attacked Davey Richards.  Nana introduces them as the first members of his new Embassy, his headhunters, Jimmy and Jules Uso.  He says that the Wolves were stupid not to take Nana’s offer, and what they got last week is what they deserved.  The Uso’s are going to destroy the Wolves.  Jimmy takes the mic and says that they are not your typical Samoans.  They aren’t gonna come out in warpaint and a bone through their nose.  They got fashion, talent, and a killer instinct.

Match 1: Tag Team Match

The Embassy (Jimmy & Jules Uso) w/Prince Nana
Vs.
The Masked HHH-Mark & Johnny Rose

The Uso’s make quick work of the jobbers as they hit the ring and attack them both.  Jimmy presses JR up and Jules catches him on the way down and plants him with the Samoan Drop, and Tripsy eats a double super kick.  Jimmy gets Trips in the Giant Swing, and as he is spinning him around Jules hits a dropkick right to the side of his head!  JR is back in, but the Uso’s drop him with a double Samoan Spike!  Jimmy and Jules up top, and they hit stereo big splashes on both men and get the dual 3 count!

After the match, as Nana and the Uso’s are celebrating, the American Wolves hit the ring wielding steel chairs!  The Uso’s quickly bail out and head to the back, and Davey grabs the mic and says that the Wolves are not done with the Uso’s, as a matter of fact they have only begun.  But right now they have other things to address and that is the Parade of Champions.  He talks about what Edge and James Storm did to his partner last week, but says they left him standing.  Eddie takes the mic and asks what happens when you catch a Wolf in a trap.  You better kill it, because when it gets loose it is going to rip your throat out!  They are coming for some payback, and they are coming for the UWF World tag titles.  And they are going to walk right into RWA, in their own house, and take them and there is nothing they can do about it . . . BECAUSE THE HUNT IS ON!!!!

IN THE BACK: Josh Matthews tries to get a word with Chris Jericho as he arrives to the arena.  Jericho says he has been vilified and treated unfairly by Shane McMahon, and Shane finally succeeded in screwing him out of the SSW title.  He says that he is not going to stand for it because he is going to walk to that ring and invoke his mandatory rematch clause right here tonight!  However, into the screen steps Ted Dibiase!  Dibiase says the best man did not win last week, and he says that it is time for John Morrison’s 15 minutes of fame to be up.  Dibiase tells Jericho that he should not be interested in the SSW title, he is after the world title, and Dibiase has an offer that Jericho can’t refuse.  He wants Jericho’s mandatory rematch, and he tells Jericho to name his price.  Jericho says he is listening, and they walk off together . . .

Commercial Break

Match 2: Singles Match

Evan Bourne
Vs.
Justin Gabriel

Both men are making their debuts with SSW, and they put on a show for the fans.  The match goes back and forth the entire way, with each man nearly pulling out the victory.  Gabriel strikes with the tornado kick (trouble in paradise), but misses a 450 splash that allows Bourne to strike with the leaping knee left.  Bourne hits the ‘Here it is’ Driver for the 1 . . . 2 . . . NOOOO!  Gabriel kicks out!!!!  Bourne up top, but Gabriel meets him and they fight it out.  Bourne knocks Gabriel to the mat and then hits the beautiful shooting star press for the 3 count!!!!

IN THE BACK: Madison cuts a promo on Fatal Attraction when Maryse and McCool interrupt.  They make fun of her, saying that no one wants her.  She was not hot enough to be a Hottie, and now she is not good enough to be in Fatal Attraction.  Rayne says that’s fine, because she has had it all wrong to begin with.  It is not about being fake like they are and it is not only about being the best looking, it is about being the best period.  And that means having a title around her waist.  She challenges them to put the tag titles on the line against her and a partner and they accept, saying Madison will never find anyone that wants to be her partner.  Madison says that they will find out next!

Commercial Break

Match 3: for the HIP Wahines Tag Team titles

(Champions) Fatal Attraction (Michelle McCool & Maryse Oulette)
vs.
Madison Rayne & Taylor Wilde

Rayne brings Taylor Wilde out as her new partner, and they hit the ring and take it to the champs.  The crowd is really behind Wilde and Rayne.  Fatal Attraction uses their standard heel tactics to remain one step ahead for a while in this one, but it is Wilde that gets the hot tag into the ring and cleans house.  With Rayne and Wilde on the verge of winning the tag titles, Fatal Attraction takes a powder and get themselves intentionally counted out to save the belts.  Wilde and Rayne stand tall in the ring as Fatal Attraction heads to the back with their titles.

IN THE BACK: Josh is with the Fortunate Sons in the locker room.  Hennig cuts a promo about them being wrestling royalty already, and says it is a foregone conclusion that they will be the next tag champs.  Why?  Cody says it is because they were just born better than everyone else.  They don’t wait in line, and they don’t pay dues.  Tonight they are going to walk out as the new tag champions!

Commercial Break

IN THE BACK: Drew McIntyre cuts a promo on how he dominated Shawn Michaels last week but HBK got a lucky shot in.  He did not win, but that does not erase the fact that he dominated Michaels.  McIntyre wants a rematch so he can prove to the world that he is the better man, and he is the future.  McIntyre says that there can only be one, and he is the one.  The Highlander Drew McIntyre

Match 4: for the SSW tag Team Titles

(Champions) Nigel McGuiness & Wade Barrett
vs.
The Fortunate Sons (Cody Rhodes & Joe Hennig)

Nigel comes out with the man he has selected to be his partner . . . the TV champion Wade Barrett.  The action is hot and heavy to start as all four men are brawling, with the action going outside the ring.  Finally is it Nigel and Cody, and Nigel stretches Cody with numerous submissions and goes to work on the arm.  Hennig gets a shot in on Nigel from the outside, then the Sons take over.  They hit a double suplex and work on the back and neck of Nigel, with Hennig hitting the snap swinging neckbreaker.  Barrett is tagged in and shows his power by taking out Cody and Hennig, but Cody strikes with a rolling bionic elbow.  Nattie tries to pass him the loaded pad, but Katie Lea stops her and they fight on the outside.  Nigel goes for the jawbreaker lariat, but Hennig ducks . . . ROLLING ELBOW BY CODY TO NIGEL!  Cover, but Barrett breaks it up.  Cody tossed outside and Hennig goes for the Perfect Plex but Barrett blocks . . . FULL NELSON SLAM!  Barrett scoops him up . . . FIREMAN CARRY SLAM!!!!  Barrett goes for the cover when the lights suddenly the lights go out . . .

. . . FINAL COUNTDOWN!!!!

The lights come back on and Bryan Danielson is in the ring with Barrett!!!!  STREAMERS FLY FROM EVERYWHERE IN THE CROWD . . . AND DANIELSON ATTACKS BARRETT!!!!  The ref sees this and calls for the bell, giving the win to the Fortunate Sons by DQ!  Danielson is beating the shit out of Barrett, and the fight goes all the way outside the ring!  Danielson has a chair now . . . SMASHES BARRETT ACROSS THE BACK WITH IT!!!!  Meanwhile, Cody and Joe are putting the boots to Nigel on the other side of the ring, and Danielson takes the chair and chases them off.  Nigel gets to his feet and turns around to see Danielson there and looks like he has seen a ghost!  Danielson does not look happy as he gets nose to nose with Nigel, but Nigel backs away and walks off.

Commercial Break

IN THE BACK: Trish Stratus cuts a promo on Beth Phoenix.  She doesn’t know what Beth’s problem with her is, but jealousy is an ugly thing.  She is the best women’s wrestler in the world, and she has the title to prove it.  Yeah, so what Cindy Rogers got lucky against her a couple of times?  Big deal.  That does not mean that she is the best.  Beth wants to be the best, but she is going to have to go through Trish to do it, and she can’t.  Trish has proved it before, and she will prove it again.

As the cage is being set up, Mike and Joe talk about the shocking return of Bryan Danielson.  They also announce that Shane McMahon has confirmed that next week John Morrison will be defending the SSW title against Ted Dibiase Jr.!!!!  Apparently Ted Dibiase has secured the rematch that belonged to Chris Jericho and will be challengeing Morrison right here next week!!!!

Main Event: Steel Cage match

CM Punk
Vs.
AJ Styles

Punk enters the cage first, and he is crouched waiting for AJ to enter but AJ starts pacing around the cage, trying to psych himself up.  He starts to get in, but then decides to grab a chair from under the ring first!  SUICIDE DIVE THROUGH THE DOOR OF THE CAGE TAKES OUT AJ!!!!  Now the fight rages on outside the ring, with Punk beating AJ all around the outside of the cage!  AJ thumbs Punk in the eye and then climbs up the cage and into the ring to escape from Punk!!!!  Punk climbs the cage as well and AJ tries to escape through the door but it is locked, so instead he meets Punk at the top of the cage as he climbs over.  Both men slug it out at the top of the cage.  Punk gets the better and fights AJ off . . . PEPSI PLUNGE ATTEMPTED BY PUNK BUT AJ FIGHTS OUT!!!!  Both men trade right hands and end up knocking each other down, and both men straddle the top ropes.  Ref puts the 10 count on them, but Punk is up at 7 and he nails AJ with a clothesline.  They criss cross and AJ goes for the Phenomenal dropkick but Punk grabs him by the leg and catapults him into the cage!  AJ hangs on, then starts climbing but Punk catches him and slams him to the mat.  Punk grabs AJ and tosses him face-first into the cage and tries to rake his face across the cage but AJ breaks it with a back elbow.  AJ springs off the ropes and hits the ‘Phenomenon’  (quebrada into reverse DDT) on Punk!  AJ gets a 2, then tosses Punk into the corner.  AJ charges but Punk backdrops him right into the cage!  Punk sets for the Shining Wizard, but AJ blocks it in mid-move . . . STYLES CLASH OUT OF NOWHERE!!!!  1 . . . 2 . . . NOOOOO!  PUNK KICKS OUT!  AJ is surprised but he follows up and kills Punk with the phenomenal dropkick off the ropes.  AJ drives the high knee into the chest of Punk, then locks on the Muta-lock.  Punk claws his way to the ropes but there is no break, so instead Punk pulls himself up the ropes and forces AJ to let go.  AJ slams Punks head into the cage, then does it to the other side as well.  AJ rakes Punk’s head across the cage, and pretty soon Punk is bleeding.  AJ picks him up in a powerbomb, then drops him down in a cliffhanger DDT!  1 . . . 2 . . . NOOO!  PUNK KICKS OUT!  AJ waits on Punk to get up, but he can barely stand by now.  Punk tries to get up, but every time he does AJ knocks him down with a right hand.  AJ mocks Punk, telling him to stay down, and then he drops him with a snap back suplex.  AJ goes up top, but takes a little too long and Punk is able to get his knees up as he goes for the Spiral Tap!  Both men are down.  Punk is up and nails AJ with open hand strikes . . . SPINNING BACKFIST AND THEN A BIG ROUNDHOUSE ROCKS AJ!  WELCOME TO CHICAGO MUTHA FUCKA (Butterfly suplex into backbreaker)!!!!  1 . . . 2 . . . NOOO!  AJ kicks out!!!!  Punk tosses him into the corner . . . RUNNING KNEE TO THE FACE!!!!  Punk goes for the bulldog, but AJ shoves him off . . . PELE KICK!!!!  Both men slow to get up again, but AJ decides to climb the cage!  Punk is up and climbs as well, catching AJ by the foot.  AJ tries to kick him off, but Punk locks AJ’s foot in the top of the cage!  He knocks AJ backwards, and AJ is hanging upside down from the top of the cage!!!!  Punk climbs up there and they are both on top of the cage fighting it out!  BIG ROUNDHOUSE KICK BY PUNK!  Both men are standing on top of the cage now!!!!  SUPER-PLEX OFF THE TOP OF THE CAGE BY PUNK!!!!  Both men are lying motionless in the ring and the ref throws up the ‘X’ sign and is calling to the back for help.  The EMT’s come out and check on Punk and AJ as the crowd is chanting ‘HOLY SHIT!  HOLY SHIT!’

The EMT’s work on both men for a little bit, and then they load them up onto separate stretchers and start to wheel them out of the arena.  BUT PUNK IS UP!!!!  PUNK IS UP AND HE HAS FREED HIMSELF FROM THE STRETCHER!  PUNK ATTACKS AJ . . . THEN LOCKS IN THE ANACONDA VICE ON AJ AS HE IS STILL STRAPPED TO THE STRETCHER!!!!  The crowd is going fucking nuts at this point.  The EMT’s pull Punk off as AJ tries frantically to free himself.  Punk grabs a chair and threatens the EMT’s with it, causing them to back off . . . THEN HE BLASTS AJ RIGHT IN THE FACE WITH THE CHAIR!!!!  AJ is busted open!!!!  Punk drags AJ back to the ring and tosses him back inside as the cage lowers . . . THE MATCH CONTINUES!!!!  Punk still has the chair and the bloody AJ is begging off, but Punk makes the mistake of looking around at the rabid audience . . . LOW BLOW BY AJ!!!!  AJ picks him up . . . STYLES CLASH!!!!  BOTH MEN ARE DOWN AGAIN AS AJ CANNOT MAKE THE COVER!  He pulls himself up and lays the chair out, then picks Punk up and signals for the Styles Clash again.  Punk reverses . . . SCOOPS HIM UP . . . GO TO SLEEEEEEP!!!!  Punk cannot make the cover either!!!!  Punk pulls himself up, then sees the chair lying on the mat.  He picks AJ up and puts his head inside the steel chair, then scoops him up one more time . . .  A 2ND THUNDEROUS GO TO SLEEEEEEP!  Punk falls on top of AJ, but doesn’t even have the strength to hook the leg.  1 . . . 2 . . . 3!!!!

The bell rings and the fans are chanting ‘THIS IS AWESOME!’  However, neither man can even get up off of the mat.  The cage is raised and the EMT’s rush back to the ring to check on both men.  Neither man is moving, and the EMT’s gingerly load them onto the stretchers again.  This time there is no opposition from either man as they are wheeled away to the back, with the fans giving them a standing ovation the entire way.
