Live from the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, TexasWe go ringside with Jim Ross, who puts over tonight's show. In addition to the King of the Ring, The Skyscrapers challenge the world tag champions in the main event, plus Windham and Pillman put thier newly won WLW tag titles on the line against the Midnight Express. Let's not waste any time, let's get up to the ring to klick this night off!
King of the Ring: East Region Sweet 16 Match: (2) Lance Storm (XWA) vs. (3) Tiger Mask (IWL)Storm comes out waving the Canadian Flag, and asks if he can be serious for a minute. He demands that everyone stand for the singing of the Canadian National Anthem, but is met with tons of boos. Tiger Mask is all business as the bell rings, locking Storm in a side headlock and getting shot off the ropes. Storm takes a tackle, then leapfrogs over and goes for a hip toss but Tiger reverses and then takes him over with a headscissors. Storm bails out to clear his head, and Tiger fakes a springboard plancha and Storm quickly moves out of the way. Tiger hits a rolling senton on Storm outside the ring! Tiger tosses him back in, and goes for a springboard but Storm nails a perfect standing dropkick, knocking him right out of the air! Storm takes over, pummeling Tiger with right hands and then hitting a back elbow off the ropes. Storm gets a 2, then locks in a rest hold. Tiger fights out with cheers from the crowd, hitting some elbows to the crowd and then striking out of nowhere with an enziguri. Tiger nails some forearms and then hits a tilt a whirl headscissors on Storm off the ropes. He goes up top . . . missile dropkick!!!! 1 . . . 2 . . . NOOOOO! Storm kicks out. Tiger ducks a clothesline and goes for a super kick, but Storm drops down and grabs the leg, rolling through and locking on the Canadian Maple Leaf!!!! Tiger is in trouble!!!! He reaches for the ropes, but can’t make it! He raises his hand to tap, but then musters enough to reach the ropes to get the break! Storm goes for the Cradle Piledriver, but Tiger elevates out of it. Storm charges in the corner and Tiger gets the boot up, but his knee is not strong enough to support the Tiger Suplex and he buckles! Storm gets out and nails Tiger with a super kick! He goes for the Sharpshooter, but Tiger rolls him up out of nowhere into a small package! 1 . . . 2 . . . 3!!!!
The fans go nuts, and Storm is in shock! Tiger Mask is going to advance in the tournament!
****Commercial Break****King of the Ring: West Region Sweet 16 Match: (1) Curt Hennig (WLW) vs. (4) Bruiser Brody (PWUSA)Hennig makes his way to the ring and doesn’t seem too anxious to et in there with Brody. Finally Hennig slides in, walking up to Brody and spitting his gum right in his face!!!! Brody charges Hennig but he quickly bails out. Brody chases Hennig around the ring, and Hennig drops an elbow on the back of Brody’s head as her slides back in the ring. The ref calls for the bell and the match is underway. Hennig delivers a few chops in the corner, but Brody sells nothing!!! Hennig backs away from Brody, but Brody overpowers him and forces Hennig to bail out again. Perfect bails and comes back in to take over. That is, until Brody reverses a whip and goes for the Big Boot. Perfect puts the brakes on just in time and heads out to the floor again. Humperdink gets in Perfects face and Hennig slaps him for his efforts. Brody goes out and brings Perfect away from Humperdink and tosses him into the ringpost. Back in, Brody hits the running clothesline followed by the running corner clothesline. A couple more clotheslines puts Perfect back out on the floor, which leads to Humperdink sneaking behind Perfect and hitting him in the back. Brody reaches over the ropes and tries to pull Hennig in but Perfect whips down and takes Brody neck first off the top rope. Perfect takes Brody to the guardrail and brings him back in for the running neck snap. Dropkick from Hennig to Brody. Hennig bodyslams Brody as the crowd is in amazement. Cover only gets two. Brody looks to mount a comeback, but he ducks low off a whip and gets kicked in the teeth. Hennig now looks out to the crowd with much confidence. Hennig grabs Brody and goes for the Perfectplex. But with all his raw power, Brody counters and picks Hennig up and sets him on the top corner. Brody unleashes with a huge clothesline to Hennig that knocks Perfect to the floor!! Brody follows out and whips Hennig into the barricade. Brody then slams Hennig to the arena floor. Brody then sends Hennig inside the ring. Brody enters and hits a big standing suplex on Hennig. Cover gets 2!! Hennig tries a punch but Brody ducks and hits a inverted spinebuster!! Hennig is in trouble!! The crowd can sense a Brody win. Brody picks Hennig up and tries to whip him into the ropes, but Hennig reverses and Brody goes flying into the ref!! Hennig gets a low blow on Brody! Brody bends over in pain, and Hennig locks in and hits the Perfectplex! Hennig has him but theres no ref. From the backstage area comes Randy Orton!! orton tries to revive the ref, but to no avail. Hennig releases Brody, Hennig tells Orton to get a chair. As Orton grabs the chair and begins to enter the ring, Humperdink grabs the chair and stops Orton. Orton will have no part of it and sends Humperdink flying across the arena floor. Hennig pulls Brody up and holds his arms in front of him as Orton sizes Brody up. Orton rares back and nails Brody with the chair in the head! Brody slumps down to the mat as Hennig releases him. Orton exits the ring. Hennig grabs Brody and hits the Perfectplex once more. The ref crawls over to Hennig and Brody and motions for the bell. Hennig jumps up and begins to celebrate his win. Hennig raises his arms in the air, but the ref quickly grabs them and puts it down. Hennig looks on puzzled, as the ref advises the ring announcer that he has awarded the bout to Bruiser Brody via a DQ!! Hennig is livid as he and Orton leave the ringside area.
IN THE BACK: Jim Ross has a word with the world tag team champions. Nigel says that tonight is the night, where the ‘dreaded’ Skyscrapers either put up or shut up. They wanted their chance, and now they’ve got it. But they are going to regret it. Danielson chimes in and says that you are looking at the 2 best wrestlers in the world, both collectively and individually. Tonight they have 2 choices, they can either tap out or get knocked out! The Midnight Express vs Barry Windham & Brian Pillman for the WLW Tag TitlesPillman and Eaton start things off. Pillman is irritating the fans, then walks right up to Bobby and gets nose to nose with him, so Eaton smacks him HARD in the face! Eaton gives Pillman a backdrop and then sends him into the corner for the upside down flip. Lane tags in for a savate kick, and then Pillman gets caught with an enziguri and tags in Windham. Lane catches him with a dropkick and then avoids an elbow drop off the top. Another savate kick from Lane sends Windham out to the floor. Windham gets pulled back in the ring the hard way and tags in Pillman as does Eaton. Beautiful Bobby takes both Pillman and Windham down with a double clothesline. Lane tags in and surprises Pillman with a drop toe hold and puts on the figure-four! Eaton nails Windham coming in and applies the figure-four on him! STEREO FIGURE-FOURS! Once the action settles, Lane delivers a slingshot back elbow into the ring for 1-2-NO! Lane sends Pillman to the opposite side of the ring with a savate kick and then tags in Eaton. Windham comes in and misses a knee drop before tagging back out to Pillman. Pillman up top, but he gets slammed to the mat by Lane. Eaton tags in for the five-count corner punch, which leads to a corner whip and a Flair Flop. Pillman comes down off the top . . . SWINGING NECKBREAKER by Eaton! Windham comes in and gets knocked out the floor . . . DOUBLE FLAPJACK on Pillman! Eaton rolls Pillman up off the ropes, but Windham breaks it up with a forearm. Windham gets a tag and manhandles Eaton with an atomic drop before punching him out to ringside. Windham is able to suplex Eaton back in and then follows up with a powerslam. Pillman tags and connects with the rolling knee drop. Pillman slaps Eaton around until he falls out to ringside again. Windham drops Eaton on the guardrail while the ref isn’t looking. Back in, Windham tags and hits the Lariat, but only gets a one-count! Windham follows up with a gutwrench suplex and then hooks on a sleeper hold. Eaton shrugs him off, but Pillman gets a tag anyway. Eaton wins a slugfest on Pillman and makes the HOT TAG TO LANE! He’s got savate kicks and backdrops for everybody! DOUBLE NOGGIN KNOCKER! Windham staggers around and gets dropped with the Double Goozle by the Midnights! Pillman gets kicked out to the floor while Eaton heads up top for the ALABAMA JAM! Eaton covers, but Tommy Young is busy trying to get Lane out of the ring. Meanwhile, Pillman grabs a chair, enters the ring and nails Bobby in the back of the head! Pillman rolls Windham over ontop of Eaton. The ref turns around, see's the cover, 1....2.....3!!! Windham and Pillman retain the WLW Tag Titles!
****Commercial Break****King of the Ring: Mid West Region Sweet 16 Match: (2) ‘King’ Ripper Collins (HIP) vs. (3) Dean Malenko (IWL)The fans don’t know who they hate worse in this one. Malenko proves to be the better mat wrestler in the early goings, exchanging holds and reversals with Collins on the mat. Collins is the stronger, and he hits a variety of suplexes to counter Malenko’s mat wrestling in the early goings. Malenko scores with a dropkick to the knee, and he grounds Collins for a good 5 minutes as he works it over. Collins fights out, raking the eyes of Malenko and then hitting a clothesline! Collins is hobbles, but he goes to the top and Malenko stops him. They fight on the top rope, but Collins gets a 2nd rope Samoan Drop! Collins gets a nearfall and he goes for the Argentine Backbreaker, but his knee gives out and Malenko clips it again from behind! Malenko goes for the Cloverleaf, but Collins kicks him away. Malenko runs into a big boot from Collins, then gets hit with a belly to belly suplex! As the ref checks on Malenko, Collins goes over and pulls the padding off the top turnbuckle! Collins gains steam, hitting a running knee in the corner and then a side slam! Collins goes for the jumping DDT, but his knee can’t spring off and Malenko gets out of it and goes for the Tiger Bomb but it is blocked too! Collins tosses Malenko into the unprotected turnbuckle, knocking him silly for a moment and allowing Collins to hit the jumping DDT and get the 3 count!!!! Collins moves on to the Elite 8 to face Steve Austin!
Jim Ross: "Fans joining me now is the UWF World Heavyweight Champion, "Ravishing" Rick Rude! Champ tonight we are going to find out which 8 men will move on in the King of the Ring, and any of them could be a threat to your title. Your thoughts?’
Rick Rude: "Jim Ross, you couldnt be any more wrong! If anything, "Ravishing" Rick Rude should be weighing on each and every one of their minds! Regardless of one might think, This King of the Ring is the easy part for them! Because taking this UWF World title from my chiseled waiste will be the heardest thing any of them will ever encounter! Its real simple, Whoever wins this King of the Ring tournament will spend Wrestlemania day.....The Ravishing Way!!!"
(Maryse moves in and kisses Rude on the cheek, then Rude looks down at the UWF World title)
Rude: "Eat your heart out boys!!"King of the Ring: South Region Sweet 16 Match: (1) Sheamus O’Shaunnesy (XWA) vs. (4) ‘Hotstuff’ Eddie Gilbert (RWA)Eddie asks the referee to check SOS’s knee pads. As he does, Eddie nails SOS from behind with an elbow. He continues to work on SOS, dropping repeated elbows to the back of the knee of SOS. After taunting the fans, Eddie steps on the right hand of SOS as he tries to get up. He yells, “What are you going to do now, big man?” After a suplex, Eddie gets a two-count. He sends SOS into the corner, but SOS counters with a hard clothesline coming out. He then picks up Eddie and slings him into the corner – nailing hard shoulder shots to the mid-section. As Eddie stumbles out, SOS nails a Slingshot Shoulder Block for a two-count. He picks up Eddie, but he quickly rolls up SOS and holds the tights for a two-count. Eddie starts to work on SOS some more, focusing on the right arm. He nails a DDT from the second rope, putting pressure on the right shoulder. As Eddie taunts the crowd, he is caught by a big boot from SOS. He then sends Eddie into the ropes, hitting a Celtic War Sword. He goes to bounce off the ropes, but Gary Hart grabs his ankles. SOS turns around to grab him, but he misses. Eddie capitalizes and nails a hard knee to the back. Eddie then delivers a hard Piledriver for a long two-count.
As Hard distracts the referee, Eddie grabs a chain from his tights. He goes to hit SOS, but he blocks it and delivers a belly-to-back suplex. As Eddie gets up, SOS sizes him up and nails The Irish Curse (Pump Kick). 1…2…No! Gary Hart gets on the apron, which gets the attention of the referee. SOS is furious. Eddie nails him from behind, then delivers a DDT. After a two-count, Eddie hooks on a sleeper, which causes SOS to fade. He tries to fight free, but Eddie slams him to the mat. He goes for the Figure Four, but SOS pushes free. SOS runs at him, but Gilbert catches him with a boot then a neckbreaker. After a two-count, Eddie goes for the Hot Shot, but SOS uses his strength and counters into a release Belly-to-Belly Suplex. He calls for it, and he nails the FRH! 1…2…No! Gary Hart pulls the referee out of the ring. SOS goes to the outside and chases him. He slides in and out of the ring. The referee is trying to tell Hart to stay back. As he does, Gilbert turns SOS around and nails him with the chain he had. He then lays on the mat as the referee turns around, and then slowly crawls over SOS. 1…2…3! Gilbert quickly leaves the ring with Hart as they upset SOS.
****Commercial Break****FOR THE UWF 6 MAN TAG TITLES: The Texas Coalition (JBL, Terry Funk, Stan Hansen) vs The Freebirds (Michael Hayes, Jimmy Garvin, Terry Gordy)This match is stated as non-title. With the stipulation that if The Coalition win, they are guaranteed a future World 6 man title match. Garvin starts with JBL. Garvin tries to wrestle, but JBL would rather punch it out. Garvin smartly tags out knowing he cant win that battle. In comes Gordy. JBL and Gordy quickly go at each other and the fans love it. Hansen and Michael Hayes gets tagged in. Hansen NO-SELLS a clothesline and fires back, so Hayes tags in as a much more evenly matched opponent, in Gordy again. Gordy takes Hansen to the mat, but Hansen comes back fighting with a clothesline. Terry Funk and Garvin go toe-to-toe. Funk’s goes DROPKICK-CRAZY on the Freebirds! JBL and Hayes tie up, but hayes pulls the rope down and JBL goes flying out to the floor. Garvin jumps down and whips JBL into the barricade. Hansen comes over after the damage is done and throws a wooden podium around and the Freebirds get back on the apron. Back in, Garvin delivers a hammerlock slam and follows up with some elbow drops. Gordy tags in and lowers the boom on JBL's arm. STEPOVER ARMBAR! He stomps away and then tags in Garvin. JBL fires back, but Garvin clips him and tags Hayes. They draw Hansen and Funk in and then deliver the old fashioned flying knee to the arm double team. It turns into a pier-six and Funk gets posted. Together, Gordy and Garvin intentionally toss JBL over the top rope. Hayes hits a stunning left hand punch that levels JBL to the floor. Inside, Hansen hits the Lariat on Garvin knocking him outside the ring. Gordy has Funk set up and about to hit a piledriver, but Hansen comes from behind and clips Gordy's leg from underneath him. Hayes rushes in and jumps Hansen. The two battle it out and the ref has lost total control. Funk grabs his Branding Iron and nails Hayes in the back of the head with it. The ref who's busy trying to get Gordy and Hansen apart never see's it. The ref gets them seperated and turns around to see Funk hitting the piledriver on Hayes. 1...2....3!!! The Texas Coalition have won a future 6 man world title shot.
****Commercial Break****King of the Ring: South Region Sweet 16 Match: (2) Greg ‘The Hammer’ Valentine (BTPW) vs. (6) AJ Styles (SSW)The crowd is definitely pro-AJ in this one. Styles gets a headlock at the onset, but Valentine shoots him off and then shoulder blocks him to the mat. Valentine gets the headlock this time, but AJ reverses into a headscissors that Valentine can’t break and he has to go to the ropes. They lock up again and Valentine backs Styles into the corner and drops a big forearm across his chest. He whips AJ into the ropes, but AJ leap frogs and then ducks down and scores with the ‘phenomenal’ drop kick! AJ locks in a headlock again, but this time Valentine picks him up and crotches him on the top rope! Styles is hurt, and Valentine clotheslines him to the floor. Valentine goes outside and drops AJ throat-first across the railing, then hits a big suplex on the floor! He tosses him back in and gets a 2, then hits a back suplex for another 2. Valentine hits the ropes and winds up, dropping the big hammer elbow on the chest of AJ. Again, AJ kicks out and Valentine is starting to get frustrated. He grabs the leg and smashes an elbow down on the knee, then drapes the leg across the ropes and jumps down on it. Valentine goes for the figure four, but AJ kicks him off into the turnbuckle. Valentine goes after the leg again, and this time AJ hits him with an enziguri! Both men get to their feet and slug it out, but Valentine gets the better of it. AJ ducks a clothesline and hits the Pele!!!! AJ nails a series of clotheslines on Valentine, then finishes it with a discus clothesline! He goes outside and tries for the springboard 450 splash, but Valentine gets the knees up. Valentine goes for the piledriver, but AJ back drops him. AJ goes for the Styles Clash, but Valentine back drops him over the top and he lands on the apron. AJ springboards in and hits a sunset flip on Valentine, but he holds on and rolls through, picking Valentine up . . . STYLES CLASH!!!! AJ rolls Valentine over and holds his shoulders down for the 1 . . . 2 . . . 3!!!!
The crowd is in shock as AJ gets his hand raised. Valentine becomes the second No. 2 seed to be eliminated tonight!
Jim Ross: "Welcome back wrestling fans. Joining me at this time is the brand new WLW Tag Team Champions, Barry Windham and Brian Pillman! Gentlemen are in store with a great win over the team of Sting and Lex Luger last week. But what many say the big suprise is the fact that you two wasnt even a team prior to that match last week."
Brian Pillman: "Thats just what we do Jim Ross! When you think of Brian Pillman and Barry Windham, you better expect the unexpected! We answer to no one! We make our own rules! These WLW Tag titles are just the beginning. Mark my words, we will rise up the rankings and capture the UWF world tag titles. Your looking at the greatest tag team duo that will ever go down in wrestling history!"
Barry Windham: "Jim Ross, it seems that everyone just wants to talk about this King of the Ring stuff, when in reality they should be focused and talking about the new WLW Tag Champs, Brian Pillman and Barry Windham! We are the real deal! No longer will we sit back and take a backseat. You know what they say JR, the cream always rises to the top......truer words have never been spoken!"King of the Ring: West Region Sweet 16 Match: (2) CM Punk (SSW) vs. (3) Raven (RWA)The crowd is pretty even, not sure who to cheer for, but they lean towards Raven. Punk and Raven tie up. Punk backs him into the corner and just lays him out with a right. Raven goes nuts and charges Punk, who meets him with a back elbow. Punk is 100% offense, just owning Raven for the first minutes of the match. Punk later goes for a back drop but Raven hits a knee lift. Raven drags Punk to the corner and smacks his left leg on the ring post repeatedly. Raven comes back in and continues abusing the leg by stomping on the knee. Raven puts Punk in a half crab and really cranks back on it. At this time, we see Jake Roberts making his way to ringside. Punk gets to the ropes and forces a break. Raven lets go but drags Punk away from the ropes and clamps on a figure four. Punk lets out a yell as Raven screams at him to submit. Punk bites his own hand to keep from tapping and finally reverses the hold and Raven is forced to break. Raven waits for Punk to get up and goes for a chop block but Punk throws a huge kneelift that takes Raven off his feet. Punk backs him into the ropes and hits punch after punch. He sends Raven into the corner. Punk charges in and hits a running knee to the head followed by a Bulldog for two. Raven rakes Punk's eyes and kicks him in the gut. Raven sets for the Evenflow. Punk yanks Raven feet from beneath him and quickly grabs the Anaconda Vice. Raven makes it to the ropes. Punk backs up and waits on Raven to get up. He sets Raven for the Go To Sleep but Raven elbows out. He drills a knee to the gut and hits the Evenflow. 1.....2.......... Jake grabs the ref and pulls him out!!!! Raven comes unglued and yells at Jake "WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING?!?!?!?" Jake smiles and backs off. The ref orders him to the back. Punk slowly pulls himself up. Raven is completely distracted by Roberts. He finally turns around as the ref returns to the ring. Punk grabs him and quickly hits a Got 2 Sleep. Raven slumps to the mat. Punks covers and gets the three, advancing in the tournament.
****Commercial Break****King of the Ring: East Region Sweet 16 Match: (1) Maxx Payne (RWA) vs. (4) Chris Jericho (SSW)Maxx comes out looking pissed, and his injured knee is already bandaged up. Jericho, meanwhile, has his shoulder heavily taped. Maxx tries to go after Jericho before the bell, but Jericho bails out and keeps breaking the momentum. He finally gets back in and they lock up, but Maxx goes right after the shoulder and Jericho pulls free quickly. They go to lock up again but this time Jericho gets a kick to the gut and then pummels Maxx with right hands. Payne grabs Jericho by the throat and tosses him into the corner, then kicks away and unleashes a flurry of blows in the corner. He tosses Jericho into the opposite corner violently, then nails him with a power slam coming out. He goes for the Payne Killa early on, but Jericho quickly squirm to the ropes and breaks it. Payne tries to pull Jericho back in the ring, but he drops Maxx’s throat right across the bottom rope. Jericho quickly slides in, hitting a dropkick to the side of the head on Maxx. He hits a senton, then puts one foot on his chest and flexes but only gets a 1 count. Jericho slaps Maxx in the head and talks shit to him, but Maxx takes Jericho down with a double leg and then hammers him with rights. Belly to bell suplex by Maxx! Jericho is sent all the way outside, but as Maxx tries to pull him back in Jericho grabs his leg and smashes it against the ring post!!!! Maxx is hurt, and Jericho takes him out with a missile dropkick! Jericho continues to work on the knee, but Maxx creates room for himself by punching Jericho in the shoulder! Maxx hits the divorce court on Jericho, and now Jericho is writhing in pain. Maxx tosses him shoulder-first into the ring post, then hits a sit-out gourd-buster! Maxx covers, but Jericho kicks out at 2. Maxx signals for the Payne Killer again, but Jericho reverses into it and hits a Codebreaker! Maxx is down, but Jericho can’t make the cover! Both men barely beat the 10 count back to their feet, and Jericho nails a one-handed bulldog! He hits the lion-sault, but as he lands on Maxx, Maxx grabs his arm and floats over into the Payne Killa!!!! Jericho is in trouble as Maxx cranks away on the arm, and as he is flailing around he gouges the ref in the eye on accident! The ref is blinded, and Jericho actually taps out! Maxx releases the hold, then sees the ref blinded and checks on him. Jericho is clutching his shoulder, and when Maxx goes back after him Jericho kicks him right between the legs!!!! Maxx is down, and Jericho falls on top . . . 1 . . . 2 . . . NOOOOO! Maxx kicks out! Jericho tries to pull Maxx up, but he grabs Jericho’s arm and hits another divorce court! Maxx signals for the end again, and this time he sets for the package piledriver but Jericho blocks it and takes his legs out from under him . . . WALLS OF JERICHO!!!! Maxx is in trouble now, but he won’t tap out! He is trapped in the move for several minutes, but finally he is able to squirm free due to Jericho’s shoulder not being strong enough to hold him. Jericho goes up top, but Maxx is up and meets him there and they fight it out. Maxx goes for a super-plex, but his knee gives out and Jericho lands on top of him as they come down! The ref counts 1 . . . 2 . . . JERICHO HAS HIS FEET ON THE ROPES FOR EXTRA LEVERAGE!!!! . . . 3!!!!
The crowd is stunned as Jericho quickly rolls to the outside! The ref raises his hand, but Jericho quickly pulls away and continues to hold the injured shoulder close to his body. Between grimaces, Jericho is screaming out ‘I TOLD YOU! I TOLD YOU!’ as Maxx looks on in disgust in the ring.
****Commercial Break****FOR THE UWF WORLD TAG TEAM TITLES: Nigel McGuiness & Bryan Danielson vs. The Skyscrapers (Dan Spivey & Sid Vicious)All four men stand face to face in the ring as the introductions are made, and the bell rings as Danielson and Spivey start us off. Danielson lands a couple of leg kicks to Spivey, then they lock up and he gets a side headlock. He transitions into a wrist lock but Spivey has the height and strength advantage and he reverses it. Danielson slaps his hand away and lands a standing dropkick, then drops a knee to the head and tags in Nigel. Nigel hammers Spivey with European uppercuts, but Spivey hammers back with rights. Nigel misses a jawbreaker lariat attempt, then gets floored by a big boot from Spivey and he tags in Sid. Sid comes in and immediately hits a side slam for a 2, then drops a big leg. Sid now with a neck vise on Nigel and the fans are starting to rally behind the champs. Nigel gets to his feet and elbows Sid in the gut, but Sid tosses him into the corner. Nigel gets a boot up into the face of Sid, then takes him off his feet with a diving European uppercut from the 2nd rope. Nigel crawls to the corner and tags Danielson as Spivey comes in, and Danielson hits a springboard dropkick on him. Danielson charges in the corner and hits a running forearm on Spivey, then tries to do the same for Sid but Sid catches him by the throat and choke slams him! Spivey charges Danielson, but he hits a drop toe-hold and he crashes hard into the ring post, hitting shoulder-first! Danielson works on the shoulder, but back in comes Sid! Nigel is in to meet him, and Sid gets taken down by a lariat! Danielson picks Spivey up in a back suplex, and Nigel nails him right in the shoulder with a European uppercut on his way down! Sid is up and nails Nigel with the big boot, but he springs back off the ropes and lays him out with the jawbreaker! Spivey clotheslines Nigel out of the ring, then he picks Danielson up for a power bomb but Danielson grabs his arm and locks in a cross-arm breaker! He takes Spivey to the mat, locking in a triangle choke while maintaining the armbar!!!! Spivey refuses to tap, but Danielson cranks back, putting more pressure on the arm while choking him out at the same time . . . SPIVEY TAPS!!!!
Sid comes in and checks on his partner, and he gives the champs a nod of respect. Nigel and Bryan are handed the titles, and they hold them up high and celebrate as the show ends.
