MLW is on the road this week as we are on the campus of Providence University at the Dunkin Donuts Center …. It’s standing room only tonight, and the fans are RABID as Pyro erupts from the ringposts and above the entranceway …. We get camera pans over the capacity crowd as MAURO and PAT MCAFEE billboard tonight’s show, welcoming those at home and setting up what we are going to see tonight ….


We get a video package recapping UWF GLORY on Thanksgiving Night, focusing specifically on the DEONNA PURAZZO vs. ALEXA BLISS match as well as the UWF tag team title match between CIAMPA/ GARGANO vs. SOUTHERN FRIED HOMICIDE ….


We go straight up to the ring for HIGH STAKES 2021, and the ring is set up with a briefcase hanging in each corner …. As the entrants make their way to the ring, Shane Taylor makes a surprise appearance, attacking LUCHASAURUS!!!!  In the ring, the combatants start attacking each other, and Shane Taylor joins the match taking Luchasaurus’ spot as he is being tended to by the trainers!!!!

The bell rings and everyone starts going at it .... Davey Boy Jr. and Shane Taylor battle it out in the center like two big bulls, and Taylor swats Ospreay aside as he tries to get involved  .... There is brawling on the floor between the other participants, and Ospreay hits a Sasuke Special over the top taking all of them out …. With everyone down, Taylor gains control of the ring and climbs up and pulls down the first case ....

CASE #1 – Shane Taylor

Roderick Strong runs wild for a moment but Ospreay cuts him off .... Ospreay hits the Cheeky Nandos superkick on Strong, then avoids DH Smith who crashes into the buckles …. Ospreay climbs up, but so does Josh Alexander and they fight over one of the cases in the corner …. Ethan Page comes in and grabs Ospreays leg, crotching him on the top rope and allowing Alexander to pull the case down!  

CASE #2 – Josh Alexander

Two cases left .... Ridge Holland runs wild now, taking everyone out …. Holland hits Northern Grit on Davey Boy Jr.   Holland climbs but Davey Boy stops him and hits a BIG super-plex out of the corner!  This allows Ospreay to spring to the top in one leap and pull that case down ….

CASE #3 – Will Ospreay

Roderick Strong, Ridge Holland and Davey Boy Smith Jr. are all that remain and there is one case left .... Strong climbs but Davey Jr. pulls him down into the ankle lock!  While this happens Holland tries to climb up but Davey Boy lets go of Strong and grabs an ankle lock on Holland and pulls him down off the top this time! .... Strong drills Davey Boy with a jumping knee and then hits the End of Heartache!  Strong is all alone and starts to climb, but Holland is up and stops him …. We get a Tower of Doom spot with Holland hitting a fall-away slam on Strong off the top rope while Davey Boy powerbombs Holland to the mat!  This leaves Davey Boy Smith Jr. all alone in the ring and he manages to climb up and pull down the final case before Strong can stop him ….

PROMO:

We get a hype video for MLW’s new secondary show, ‘MLW: Fightland’ …. Fightland will be a condensed show featuring highlights as well as a few matches …. On the debut episode, we will get the reveal of the HIGH STAKES cases as well as the main event of Raquel Gonzalez defending the Womens title against Becky Lynch ….




Johnny Gargano comes out to the ring on crutches accompanied by Candice LeRae …. Gargano addresses his injured knee, and says an MRI revealed no major damage and he will recover …. But he’s not out there to talk about that right now …. Instead, he has something to say to Tomasso Ciampa face to face ….




Ciampa comes out, and they are face to face …. Johnny says it’s not about fighting, or hating each other …. But this, whatever ‘this’ is, is over …. There isn’t anything left to say …. They were only together because of the MLW tag titles, and now they aren’t champions anymore …. It is time they go their separate ways ….

Ciampa says he’s wrong.  It’s all about what Southern Fried Homicide has TAKEN from them …. SFH screwed them out of the MLW tag team titles, but then the whole world saw him and Johnny beat Southern Fried Homicide at Glory …. TWICE …. They are in too deep now, and IF Johnny wants to walk away, then he throws it all away because without Tomasso Ciampa, there is NO Johnny Gargano ….  


They are interrupted by the arrival of DONALD TRUMP!  Trump says usually he doesn’t get involved like this, but he is proud of their performance at GLORY …. he agrees with Ciampa and doesn’t think it’s over either …. He believes they deserve another chance, so much so that he made a phone call to Nicholas DeVannes and the UWF Board of Governors and he pulled some strings …. Southern Fried Homicide will be here next week, and if Johnny is cleared to wrestle, and they want it, then Ciampa &amp; Gargano have a rematch for the titles …. Ciampa looks at Johnny and says ‘One last time?’ …. The crowd are chanting ‘DIY!  DIY!’ ….

Before Johnny can answer, Candice takes the mic and says this time it will be different because she will be there to kick Mickie James’ ass if she tries to get involved …. Johnny looks like he is thinking about it, but then he takes the mic from Candice and says ‘One last time’.  


IN THE BACK –

We get a promo from MIRO backstage ….

MIRO – “Matt Riddle, let me tell you a story.  There was once a man who was a world champion, a man who was powerful but was known not for his accomplishments, but just for having a hot wife.  This man was lost, and he was lost because he was not being himself.  So this man, he set out on a journey to find himself.  And when he found himself in MLW, he heard a voice booming from the heavens told him he must forgive himself, and remember who he was.  The voice told him he was redeemed, and now he must go out and redeem himself in front of the people.  And he would redeem himself through violence and destruction.  You see Matt, I am a reasonable man.  I don’t hate you, but I DO forgive you.  Just like I forgive everyone in my path that I am forced to destroy.  It started last week, and it will continue with you.  Because now I become the redeemer ….”

POST MATCH:  Xia Li looks to stomp the leg of Stark like she did Dakota Kai a week ago, but Tegan Nox hits the ring and attacks Xia!  Tegan gets the better of the exchange and scores with the Shiniest Wizard that sends Xia out of the ring!  Tegan grabs the mic and issues a challenges to Xia to face her on the debut of FIGHTLAND ….


BACKSTAGE –

The Undisputed Era cut a promo …. Cole says that the Undisputed Prophecy has already begun and he puts over Redragon winning the tag belts on MLW #40 …. Strong is disappointed that he didn’t get one of the cases, but Cole tells him he doesn’t need a briefcase to be champion, and Joe opened the door when he issued the open challenge …. Cole talks shit about facing Rex Steiner tonight and says it’s a joke …. He is going to crush his spirit and send him back to developmental because he is not in Cole’s league …. And THAT is undisputed ….

MATT RIDDLE

Riddle attacks with strikes to start, but Miro puts a stop to it with a Fallaway slam ….  They trade more shots and Riddle hits some kicks to Miro’s chest, but Miro with a big headbutt stops him again …. Miro works the ribs of Riddle, but Riddle counters with an Exploder suplex …. Riddle fires up, hitting the running corner elbows from all sides of the ring …. Riddle hits the Bro-ton followed by the PK to Miro, WHO KICKS OUT AT 1!!!!  Riddle traps the arms and starts raining down elbow strikes, but Miro powers up to his feet and hits the spinning Urinage Slam to stop Riddle …. Miro stomps the spine of Riddle, but Riddle rolls out of the 7th Seal attempt and hits the ripcord knee!  Miro is still on his feet but Riddle scoops him up for Bro 2 Sleep, but Miro elbows out and hits a BIG roundhouse kick!  German Suplex drops Riddle right on his head!  Miro stalks Riddle, MACHKA KICK!  GAME … OVAAAAAA!  Miro stomps the spine again, then locks on the 7th Seal!  Miro cranks all the way back, and Riddle has no choice but to tap out!   ….

Knuckle lock to start the match and we get some spots that showcase Steiner’s power advantage …. Steiner sends Cole to the floor off a shoulder-block, then he holds the ropes open and invites Cole back in …. Cole tries to control with a headlock, but Steiner shoots him off and when Cole tries to leapfrog he hits the scoop powerslam …. Cole slips out of another slam attempt and superkicks the knee of Steiner, then puts the boots to him …. Cole follows with a neckbreaker, then works the knee some more …. Figure Four by Cole is countered and Steiner kicks him off into the ropes …. Steiner runs wild with some clotheslines, then does some barking lke his dad Rick Steiner …. Flying shoulder blocks by Steiner, then hits the 2nd rope bulldog for a close nearfall that the crowd pops for …. Cole fights off a German suplex attempt, only for Steiner to come back with a deadlift german further showing his power …. Cole powders, but comes back with the bicycle kick …. Cole goes for the ushigoroshi, but Steiner fights out only to get hit with a backstabber for 2 …. Panama Sunrise is countered and Steiner grabs Cole on his shoulders and hits a death valley driver!  Steiner goes on a flurry, hitting the double underhook powerbomb!  Steiner to the top, but he jumps off right into a superkick by Cole!  Another superkick!  Cole hits the Florida Key!  Steiner kicks out at 2!!!!  Cole goes for the Last Shot, but Steiner avoids it and hits a Frankensteiner out of nowhere!!!!  Steiner pulls the straps down and goes for the Steiner Recliner but Cole gets the ref out of position and hits a low blow unseen by the ref!  Cole hits the Last Shot!  STEINER KICKS OUT AGAIN!!!! Cole goes to the 2nd rope and hits the Panama Sunrise and that is enough to put Steiner down for the 3 count ….….

Cole has been pushed to the limit here by the rookie, and as he holds up the MLW title a spotlight shines on the ramp and we see that Paul Heyman has come out to observe things …. Cole notices Heyman and then does the ‘ADAM COLE BAY BAY!’ but Cole doesn’t notice that KILLER KROSS IS IN THE RING BEHIND HIM!  Cole turns around and Kross grabs him and drops him on his head with the Doomsday Clock!  Kross locks on the Kross Jacket Choke!!!!  Cole starts to fade immediately and he is tapping!!!!  Here come the rest of the Undisputed Era, but Kross bails out the other side of the ring and grabs a chair from ringside …. Kross holds off the entire UE with the chair as the show comes to an end ….
