Kevin Kelly welcomes everyone to the event here in Chicago and announces that THE NJPW Tag titles was recently declared vacant. Tonight there will be new champions crowned in an 8 team single elimination tournament.
Match one: Zach Sabre jr vs Hayabusa
These two tear the house down. And go nearly 20 minutes before Sabre gets Hayabusa to tap out to his Fujiwara armbar.
Match two: Natural Disasters vs Faces of Fear
These is just a damn fight and the fans in Chicago love it. End comes when Barbarian hits a flying headbutt off the top rope to Typhoon.
Match Three: Hiroshi Hase & Kensuke Sasake vs The Midnight Express
Hase and Sasake are no strangers to Tag Team wrestling and this one is a clinic but in the end, it's the savy of the Express with the double Goozle for the win.
Match Four: Bob & Brad Armstrong vs Road Warriors
The building nearly collapses as the hometown Road Warriors come to the ring. This Match is kept within the rules the entire Match before Animal ends it with a powerslam in Bob.
Match Five: Antonio Inoki & Giant Baba vs The Andersons
The Andersons are way outsized here. So what do they do? What the do best.....keep Inoki on their side of the ring working the arm before Baba finally throws the towel in to save his partner.
Match Six: Minoru Suzuki vs Batista w/Fred Blassie
Batista and Suzuki go toe to toe with each other and Blassie gets his shots in when the ref is out of position. And just when it looks like Batista will hit the Batista Bomb, "The Rainmaker" Okada comes to ringside allowing Suzuki to backflip out and cradle the legs of Batista to win.
Match Seven: Midnight Express vs Faces of Fear
Another Match of power vs speed. But Cornette gets a little to close to the action as Barbarian grabs him and Cornette drops his tennis rackets and Meng nails Condrey with it to get the pinfall and advance to the finals.
Match Eight: Road Warriors vs Ole & Arn Anderson
The Andersons get frustrated by not being able to keep the Warriors grounded. And it eventually turns into a brawl as The G-Club, Ryde and Ventura make their way to the ring and the Warriors give chase.....getting counted out. The Andersons will meet the Faces of Fear in the finals.

Match Nine: Sting vs Lex Luger w/Madusa for the NWA World title
Sting is a house on fire as he's been waiting fir weeks to get his hands on Luger. A ref bump comes into play and Sting hits the Stinger splash followed by the scorpion. Luger is tapping. No ref!! Then we see Samoa Joe nail Sting in the back with a chair. And Joe gives Sting a muscle buster before leaving. Luger barely covers Sting as the ref counts three.
Tournament Finals: Faces of Fear vs The Andersons
Can you say DOG FIGHT?? Because this is a battle of pitbulls. For nearly 20 minutes. End comes when Meng puts the Tongan Death grip to the throat of Ole. But Ole doesn't quit..... he passes out and the ref stops the match and declares the Faces of Fear the new NJPW TAG CHAMPIONS!
