WCW and Windy City Pro Wrestling Presents : Turkey Day Turmoil:
Jim Ross : Hello fans , Happy Thanksgiving . We are here at Texas A&M for Turkey Day Turmoil . This is a World Championship Wrestling and Windy City Pro Wrestling new annual tradition . I’m Jim Ross and with me my friend the Dean of Pro Wrestling Gordon Solie. Gordon , Happy Thanksgiving my friend .
Gordon : Thank you very much Jim . Happy Thanksgiving to you and all our great fans watching around the world. Yes indeed , this is a new tradition and one we both look forward to for many a year to come my friend . First off the Bunkhouse Finals . This started back in June with 8 Bunkhouse Brawl Battle Royals and now we are down to two men .
Jim: That’s right . From WCW a member of the notorious Four Horsemen and from WWF . The legendary Italian Superman Bruno Sammartino. This should be a good one , let’s go to the ring .
Bruno comes out firing right hands . Arn falls flat on his face and hear’s it from this huge crowd . Bruno picks up Arn for the Bearhug , but Arn bites him in the forehead . Jim and Gordon discuss how this is a perfectly legal move in this type of match . Bruno let’s off the hold and Arn nails a Spinbuster for only a two count .
Arn takes off his cowboy boots and starts raking the heel across the forehead. Bruno is busted open . Arn now stomps away on the forehead and then drops a knee . Jim Ross talks about the typical Anderson style , find a body part and weaken it , in this case it’s the forehead of Sammartino.
Arn is now using a chinkock . The blood is really pumping out if Bruno’s head now . Bruno slumps to the mat . The ref checks the arm , it falls once . He checks again , it falls twice . He checks a third time and Bruno finds life . Bruno with some elbows to Arn’s gut to break free then a clothesline . Bruno now scrambles for a cover , but Arn is out at two . The two men are now throwing punches that look like something out of a Rocky movie .
The fans are eating up the action . Arn knees Bruno in the gut and goes for a Gordbuster , but Bruno blocks it and Suplexes Arn out if the ring . Bruno now picks up Arn and press slams him on the floor . He rolls Arn in and then goes for his Bearhug . This brings out Owen who goes to hit Bruno in the back of the head , but Bruno moves and Owen hits Arn instead . Suplex by Bruno on Owen !! Bruno grabs up Arn ….. BUCKLE BOMB !!!! Bruno covers 1….. 2….. 3 !!!
Jim Ross: By Gawd!!! Bruno has won it . John Rose is in the ring . Let’s go to him now .
Rose : Fans , it is my pleasure to introduce to you , the first Bunkhouse Brawl Champion, Bruno Sammartino. If you can hold onto it , here is the Bunkhouse Brawl Belt . Here is the Bunkhouse Brawl Trophy and a check from HBO for $500, 000 . Congr….
Ken Patera hits the ring and jumps Bruno from behind . He smashes the trophy over his head and then takes the check from Rose and tears it up . Patera grabs the belt from Rose and grabs the house mic .
Patera : Looks like you already lost this belt . I should be the Bunkhouse Brawl Champion , because I wasn’t employed at the time . Typical Sammartino politics . Well , it’s mine now . Oh and Rose , I’ll be wanting a check with my name on it .
Patera takes his leave .
Gordon : A vile and disgusting act by one Ken Patera .
Jim : Did he ever stop think the reason he wasn’t employed by anyone in IWA was because of crap like this ??? Gordon , let’s move on .
Gordon : Indeed my friend . This next match , The Inspiration taking on The Hex . This has been building for a bit .
Jim Ross: Gordon, these ladies have been doing a lot of trash talk and a couple of times it’s come to a head . Tonight , we will see who the better team is . Let’s go to the ring.
The Inspiration ( Billie Kay and Peyton Royce ) vs The Hex ( Allyson Kaye and Marti Belle) : Allyson and Billie start things out . Allyson uses her power early on . Hitting some big clotheslines and then a shoulder breaker . She tags in Marti who hits a swinging neck breaker and then a cross arm breaker . Peyton breaks it up with a kick to the head . Big boot by Billie and then makes the tag to Peyton . Peyton with a hangmen’s DDT on Marti and then puts the boots to her .
Peyton tags off to Billie , who whips Marti into their corner and uses her long legs to choke her against the ropes , breaking on 5 . Peyton comes back in hits brain Buster . She covers . Allyson breaks it up . Peyton now waits for Marti to get to her feet and measures ….. SURPRISE V TRIGGER BY MARTI !!!! Marti now hits a Superkick !!! She leaps and makes the tag to
Allyson ! Allyson with a spear on Peyton and then a Powerslam by a charging Billie . Allyson picks up Peyton for a Hangmen Back Breaker . Marti sets for a knee from the top rope , but Billie staggers and falls into the ropes . Marti falls to the outside .
Big boot by Billie to Allyson’s face and then she and Billie hit a double Brainbuster !! Billie makes the cover 1…..2….3 !!!
Gordon : A great match by all four young ladies .
Jim : Gordon , something tells me we are not done with these four . Right now it’s time for the Glory Championship. Adam Cole taking on Hulk Hogan. This will be a war .
Hogan grabs up Cole off the lock up and Bodyslams him . Hogan hits a clothesline knocking Cole out if the ring . He plays up to the crowd . Cole is walking around the outside demanding they shut up . He gets on the ring apron and Hogan goes to Suplex him back in , but Cole clotheslines Hogan with the top rope . He then hits a springboard leg drop to the back of Hogan’s head .
He does his strut thing and expects to hear the Adam Cole Bay Bay , but gets boos instead . Cole now waits , Hogan stumbles to his feet and Cole fires Superkick , which Hogan blocks and gets off an Exploder ! Cole staggers up, Ace Bomber by Hogan !!! Hogan covers , but Cole is in the ropes . Cole rakes the eyes off the break and then hits a Corona Crash . From there he works a Crossface , Hogan powers to his feet and hits a makeshift Samoan Drop.
Hogan puts on the Python Clutch . Cole is weakening little by little , it looks as though he is about to pass out , when he does kind of a flip . Hogan’s shoulders are down ! The ref counts 1….2….3 !!!
Post match Hogan out of respect offers his hand and Cole shakes it and then fires a Superkick knocking Hogan out yet again. . Cole is proud himself .
Jim Ross : What a Jack ass .
Gordon : That’s one way of putting it . He sure is an arrogant young man . Right now this is the match we have been waiting for . Dusty Rhodes, Jerry Lawler , Daveyboy Smith and Chris Adams in a survivor series match against Hotstuff Eddie Gilbert, Brian Lawler , Jimmy Snuka and Gino Hernandez.
Jim Ross: 8 men four on each team and they are not fond of one another . Let’s go to the ring . Gino and Adams start off the match . This is just a brawl . Adams Superkicks Gino so hard , he goes flying back into the corner and Gilbert tags in . Adams tags in Lawler and the fans go crazy .
Gilbert tags out to Snuka . Lawler punches Snuka several times and then goes for the Piledriver , but Brian pulls Jimmy down and he backdrops out of it and Jerry falls to the floor . Brian whips Jerry into the ringpost . Jerry is favoring his left arm . Brian rolls the King back in the ring and then Jimmy headbutts the shoulder with a Dive from the top rope . Now Gilbert wants in .
He stomps on Lawler’s arm and now uses a step over arm bar . Lawler works to his feet and fires right hands into Gilbert’s head . Lawler headbutts him and gets out of it . He tags in Daveyboy. Daveyboy now presses Gilbert above his head and tosses him into Brian . The two fall out on the floor . Lawler goes up top and hits a fist drop on Gilbert out on the floor . He rolls Gilbert in and Daveyboy hits a running Powerslam . Daveyboy tags in Dusty and Dusty hits a bionic elbow drop on Gilbert . Dusty tags in Jerry again and Jerry gets off a Piledriver!!! Jerry covers and gets the 3 .
JR : A measure of revenge here for the King .
Brian gets in the ring and low blows his dad and rolls him up for a 3 count .
Gordon : A rather crafty move by Brian Christopher. He just eliminated his dad .
Dusty comes in and hits a dropkick on Brian. Brian tags off to Gino . Gino and Dusty tie up , Gino rakes the eyes and then knees Dusty in the gut . From there he hits a DDT . Jimmy Snuka comes off the top with a Superfly Death Leap. Gino covers for the 3 .
Gordon : Dusty Rhodes is out of this contest . Brian Christopher, Jimmy Snuka and Gino Hernandez have a 3 on 2 advantage .
Daveyboy comes in like a house of fire . Clothesline for Gino . Shoulder tackle for Christoper and he catches Jimmy coming off the top and turns it into a Powerslam!! Gino is back up , Daveyboy gets him in a Samoan Drop position and Gino turns it into a crucifix roll up for 3 !!!
Jim Ross: After all that carnage Daveyboy is gone . Leaving Chris Adams by himself . Can he survive !!!
Adams is putting up a fight , but it’s too much to overcome . Snuka gets off the Superfly Death Leap and gets the pin .
After the match Snuka and Christopher put the boots to Adams . Then under the guidance of Hart hold him down . Hart pulls out a straight razor and wants Gino to cut Adams hair . Gino refuses Hart shoves him and orders him . Gino DDT’s Hart . Then he bashes Snuka and Christopher’s heads together !!! Gino hits a Fame Asser on Snuka and Adams is now up . Superkick on Christoper .
Gino offers up a handshake . Adams shakes his head , but tells him thank you , before taking his leave .
Gordon : I knew it . I knew there was still good there in Gino Hernandez .
JR : Hopefully he and Chris Adams can get past their issues . The Duo were a hell of a team . Right now we are in our last four matches . All World Title matches . Let’s go to the ring for Britt Baker defending her Women’s World Title against Thunder Rosa .
Rosa comes out and hits several round kicks to Britts legs . Britt quickly powders out to avoid punishment . Britt grabs Rosa by the legs and tows her out if the ring . From there she hits a side Russian leg sweep on the floor . She then slams her head into the ring apron .
Baker chokes Rosa on the mat breaking on 5 . She puts the boots to her , but Rosa is firing back , right handed chops . Rosa fires a round kick to Britt’s solar plexus . Rosa covers , but Britt is in the ropes .Rosa goes for a double underhook Suplex , but Britt wraps her legs in the ropes , trips Rosa up and uses a double leg pick up , she keeps her feet on the ropes for 3 .
Gordon : That Doctor Baker is very resourceful.
JR : And Gordon , that’s why she’s the world champion . And from there we move into another world title match . The X Division World Title match . The newly crowned Windy City Pro Wrestling Extreme Champion, Jushin Thunder Liger against the X Division World Champion , a man reinventing the division, one MJF .
Gordon : This should be a classic . Let’s go to the ring.
Liger quickly snaps off a couple of arm drags and then floats over and quickly grapevines the legs . MJF crawls to the ropes and Liger breaks clean. MJF tries to get cute , and kicks at Liger who gets off a Dragon Screw Leg Whip . Liger now goes into a step over toe hold . MJF pounds the mat in frustration. He gets to the ropes for the break and this time shoves Liger off with an up kick . MJF limps around the ring , trying to get feeling back in his legs .
Liger gets on the ring apron and MJF hits a knee to the gut , knocking him off . Liger slams back first into the railing . MJF goes out after him . He puts the boots to him and then hits a slingshot and introduces Liger to the ring post . MJF rolls Liger back in and now works a seated chin lock . Liger gets to the ropes for the break .
MJF hits a vertical Suplex and then knees Liger in the back of the head and then sets for another Vertical, Liger though gets off a spinning back fist . MJF staggers backward . Shotay Palm Strike from Liger . Liger now hits a rolling kappa kick in the corner and then a Springboard Liger Sault !! He covers ….. 1…….2…… Nooooo !!! MJF kicks out at two and half . Liger pulls MJF up , he sets for a Liger Bomb, but MJF pushes Liger backward out of the ring over the top rope. The ref is checking on Liger . MJF puts a roll of quarters in his hands . Liger gets back in the ring and MJF KO’s him . He covers 1…..2….3 !!!
Gordon : I’m pretty sure the champion used an illegal tactic.
JR : I know he did , Gordon .
Gordon : A win nonetheless. He has not heard the last from one Jushin Thunder Liger, I’m sure . Jim it appears a cell is being dropped around the ring .
JR : Gordon , it’s time for the Hell In A Cell World Tag Team Title match . Let’s just say that the challengers The Fabulous Freebirds for over a year now have a long history with the current champions and even seem to have their number .
Gordon : Indeed . But the Champions won’t back down from anyone . They have been dangerous and hungry since the won the World Tag Team Titles.
The cell sets in place . As the wounded champions are walking up the aisle , Gordy , Garvin and Hayes attack them . Gordy repeatedly slams Bockwinkle’s head in the door busting him open , Hayes hits a Bulldog on Race out on the floor on the outside of the cell . Garvin shoves Bockwinkle in the cell and now Hayes and Gordy go in with him locking the cage door behind them . Gordy hits a Piledriver out on the floor and and rolls Bockwinkle in the ring . A ref finally comes down and Garvin decks him .
Another ref comes down , but he doesn’t come alone . Security comes down and gets the ref in the cell. Gordy has been covering Bockwinkle the whole time . The ref slides in . Hayes already celebrating a victory . The ref counts 1…….2……. Noooooo ! Bockwinkle kicks out . Gordy tosses Bockwinkle into a corner and he and Hayes choke him with the tag rope . Gordy tags off to Hayes , he hits a Bulldog and now tags back off to Gordy and Gordy puts Bockwinkle in a sleeper . Bockwinkle is fading .
Race on the outside is now back up . Garvin goes after him , Race knees Garvin in the face and introduces him to the cage . Garvin is busted open . Race gets the cage door open and burst through . Hayes goes out after him . He takes off his boot to swing at Harley , but Harley dodges it and then knees Hayes in the gut and then takes his face across the cage . It’s Hayes’ turn to wear the crimson mask . Harley slams Hayes on the floor and he gets up on the ring apron and and comes off with leg drop .
Bockwinkle is now fighting back . He gets off a makeshift stunner . He staggers over and tags in Harley . Harley goes to the second rope and gets off a fist drop . He then picks up Gordy and slams him . Knee drop to the forehead . He covers 1…..2….. Gordy kicks out . Race clamps down on a front face lock . Hayes is back in Hayes knees Race in the back . Bockwinkle is now in . He hits a belly to back Suplex on Hayes . Gordy and Harley are now standing in the middle of the ring trading punches . They end up knocking each other out . Bockwinkle and Hayes are mixing it up . Hayes goes for a Rainmaker Clothesline , Bockwinkle side steps and locks Hayes in a sleeper . The blood is really pouring out of Hayes’ head . The ref waves him off . He says something to JR , who gets on the house mic .
JR : Fans , due to blood loss it is determined by referee Randal Tex Cobb that Micheal Hayes can no longer continue . Your winners and still World Tag Team Champions. Nick Bockwinkle and Harley Race!!!
Gordon : It is all over . For a long time , these two teams have been at each other’s throats hopefully things are finally settled . Jim , we are in for one heck of a main event .
JR : Gordon , since Ric Flair has won the World Heavyweight Title from Hulk Hogan, Kerry Von Erich has been making news . He’s now a double champion . Can he become the World Heavyweight Champion , we are about find out .
Kerry and Flair lock up . Flair pushes Kerry into the ropes and breaks clean . Flair struts around the ring . Kerry is unimpressed and hits him with a dropkick ! Flair staggers up and Kerry meets him with a press slam. Flair begs Kerry off , but Kerry is not having any of it . Kerry press slams him again. Kerry goes for a third , but Flair rakes the eyes and gets out the back door .
Flair hits a belly to back Suplex with a bridge for two . But Kerry gets a shoulder up . Flair drops a knee across the forehead and then hits a vertical Suplex. He grabs Kerry’s leg and yells out , “ now we go to school . Whoooo ! “ Flair puts on the Figure Four. Kerry is in obvious pain . He rolls to the ropes for the break . Flair puts the boots to him . Kerry rolls to the outside .
Flair chop blocks Kerry’s knee and then hits an atomic knee drop . He rolls Kerry back in . Flair goes to chop Kerry who is up to his feet , but Kerry clamps down on the Claw !!! Flair is screaming . He gets to the ropes and Kerry breaks . Flair falls flat on his face !! Kerry pulls Flair to his feet and now gets off a Discuss Punch! Kerry with the cover … 1……2…. Flair grabs the bottom rope . Off the break , Kerry puts on the claw again . Flair is fighting to keep his shoulders off the mat . Kerry gets his shoulder down …. 1…..2…. Nooo ! Flair gets to the ropes . The ref is trying to get Kerry to let off the hold , Flair out of the ref’s site , he hits a low blow . Flair gets off a small package and gets 1…..2…..3 !!!
JR : Ric Flair does it again .
Gordon : He’s champion for a reason . Jim , I thank you for having me . I have a flight to catch . This has been nothing short of wonderful .
