Maddog Buzz Sawyer vs Steve Austin : This is an all out brawl . Both men not giving . Austin controls the match early on , just by his fist . He hits a Thesz Press and then pounds the shit out of Buzz . Sawyer though plays for keeps . He clotheslines Austin and then rakes his head over the top rope . Austin goes for the Stunner , Sawyer shoves him off and counters into a Maddog Powerslam!! Sawyer gets the 3 count and moves on to the Final Four at the Cotten Bowl .
Bob Backlund vs Jerry Lawler : Backlund hits Suplexes from every angle wearing down his man . King though fights back with a sime hard left jabs and a headbutt puts Backlund on the mat . King goes for a flying fist drop , but Backlund moves !! Backlund with a bridging German , but King gets out . Backlund closes in for the Crossface Chicken Wing , King gets to the ropes . King late in the match with a Piledriver Driver for 3 . He moves on to the Final Four !!!
Bonus Match Eddie Guerrero vs Dean Malenko : Eddie hides behind the ref and then pie-faces Malenko. That backfires as Dean unloads with right hands to a pop from the crowd. Eddie goes to the eyes in the corner, but walks into a boot from Dean. Leg lariat from Dean gets two. Malenko gets a vertical suplex and then starts unloading with right hands again. They trade standing switches and Eddie tries a springboard into a head scissors, but gets powerbombed hard on the mat. Powerslam from Dean gets two as the crowd is popping for everything. Eddie, on his knees, tells Dean to bring it on and then runs on his knees and bails to the floor. Back in the ring Eddie backs Dean against the ropes and fires off some chops. Dean punches back, but Eddie goes back to the eyes and then rubs his boot across Malenko’s face. Suplex is blocked as Dean lands some knees and then he hits a front suplex that leaves Eddie hanging on the top rope. Clothesline gets a two count. Dean gets a reverse chinlock and transfers into a body scissors. Dean tosses Eddie in the air and lets him drop. Eddie to the floor to slow things down some more. Knuckle lock and Dean wins that battle, but gets caught in the corner where Eddie gets in some shoulder blocks. He tries a Tornado DDT, but Dean shoves him off and then alley-oops Eddie onto the top rope. Belly to back suplex gets two as Dean got lazy with the cover. They fight over a suplex and Eddie ends up on the apron where he snaps Dean’s neck backwards over the top rope. He slingshots back in with a boot and then back out with a double axe to the knee. Eddie wraps Dean’s knee around the post and then dropkicks the steps into the bad knee. Back in the ring Eddie goes to the knee and hits a stiff powerbomb to pay Dean back for the one he received earlier. Eddie tries to get a roll, but Dean is able to counter with a slam. Dean follows with a backbreaker for two. Eddie avoids a charge in the corner and heads up top, but Dean cuts him off with right hands. They fight up there and Eddie looks for a rana, but Dean shoves off in what is usually a gutbuster, but they just both crash to the mat. Dean seems annoyed so he just powerbombs the piss out of Eddie. He tries to follow, but Eddie avoids and comes off the top with a dropkick to the knee. He heads back up and hits a Frog Splash onto Dean Malenko for the pin .
Bonus Match World’s Greatest Tag Team vs Kings of Wrestling : Both teams get thunderous duelling chants during the formalities. SHELTON SLAPS CLAUDIO! He then EASILY over-powers him into a vertical suplex. Hero tags and takes it to the mat but Benjamin is no slouch their either. Castagnoli tries to use his power again only for Haas to MAT-WRESTLE THE SH*T OUT OF HIM! Benjamin again, showcasing his agility by back-flipping off the ropes into an armwrench on Claudio. The Kings are getting taken to school right now, but come back strong with a trilogy of big boot strikes. Desperate to escape, they line up the KRS-1 on Shelton…but Charlie saves. WGTT go for that Leapfrog Hilo spot on Hero only for Castagnoli to save him and Haas makes his first mistake, trying to trade European uppercuts with Castagnoli and comes up on the short end of that exchange. Claudio hangs him in the ropes with his head exposed for a sliding kick from Hero. Charlie pops the hips in an exploder suplex and tags Shelton…only for Hero to immediately low-bridge him and cause him to fall out of the ring. He chases Benjamin to the floor, giving him his first taste of the ROH metal guardrails. STALLING LES ARTESS LIFT BY CLAUDIO! The Kings keep Shelton isolated for the next few minutes, Hero in particular using his striking ability to continually put the Gold Standard on the canvas. Finally Benjamin drops both of them with a double neckbreaker. Hot tag to Haas who quickly sends Castagnoli flying through the air with a belly to belly suplex for 2. ROLLING GERMANS! SLINGSHOT SAMOAN DROP COMBO FOR 2! LEAPFROG ELBOW COMBO BY THE KINGS! SUPLEX ELBOW COMBO! FOR 2! DRAGON WHIP ON HERO! LEAPFROG HILO NAILED! Claudio saves his partner from the Haas Of Pain…ROARING ELBOW! Claudio tries to climb the ropes…SHELTON CATCHES HIM BY JUMPING ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP ROPE FOR A BELLY TO BELLY SUPERPLEX! HAAS OF PAIN! 1......2.......3!!! Haas and Benjamin are your winners!
Chris Jericho vs Lex Luger ( w/ Medusa ) : Y2J lets himself get distracted early on by Medusa and this allows Luger to dominate him . Luger goes for the Torture Rack , but Chris rolls it into a Crucifix for two . Chris back up and scores with a dropkick and then a springboard Bulldog . He hits the Lionsault for 2 . Chris puts on the Walls , but Luger gets to the ropes for the break . Judas Effect by Chris , but Medusa is up on the ring apron . While the ref is arguing , Ventura slides in and clotheslines his former friend Jericho in the back of the head . Ventura takes his leave . Medusa jumps down . Luger hits a Piledriver and gets the 3. He moves on to the Cotton Bowl.
Randy Orton vs Superstar Billy Graham : Good back and forth match . Orton gets dirty though and low blows Graham out if the ref’s site . He hits a Hangmen’s DDT and then goes for a Punt to the Superstar’s head , but Graham moves and hits a clothesline . From there he gets Orton in a Bearhug , but turns it into a Belly to Belly !!! He covers and gets 3 ! Graham moves on to the Cotton Bowl!!!
NWA World Tag Team Titles Ken Patera and Jerry Blackwell vs Demolition: The champs are still licking their wounds from two nights before in Toronto . For 17 minutes Ax and Smash have their way with them . When Smash tries to Bodyslam Blackwell , Jerry shifts his weight into a a makeshift crossbody . He gets the 3 as Patera cuts off Ax
