PRESENTS:

NJPW Presents: Wrestle Kingdom A0o7mkQ

NJPW Presents: Wrestle Kingdom Yle1wQw

Tony Schiavone: "Hello wrestling fans..... and welcome to The Tokyo Dome for Wrestle Kingdom! We started this tournament with sixteen men..... 4 weeks later, it's all about one championship...... the NJPW Heavyweight title. And man, whether it be Ricky Steamboat or Minoru Suzuki,  will leave here tonight wearing that title! One would have to think that Suzuki has the home field advantage,  but you can never countout the tenacity of Ricky Steamboat! And speaking of home field advantage,  how about our opening contest? As The Great Muta challenges "Switchblade" Jay White for the NWA Super Juniors World title!"

The Great Muta w/ Paul Jones vs Jay White for the NWA Super Juniors World title

Switchblade rushes Mutai during his entrance which gets loud boos from the crowd. Paul Jones attempts to sneak a cheap shot in on White, but Switchblade backs him off. He dumps Muta to the floor but Muta  hits back with forearms which allows White to distract Muta  and send him into the barricade. Back in the ring, White hits a running corner uppercut and then stands on Muta’s wrist with one foot. He uses his other foot to stomp on Muta’s elbow but then Muta fights back with forearms. Muta goes for an Irish whip but White holds onto the ropes and the strain from that pull hurts Mutas arm. Muta rushes White but White ducks and dumps him to the floor.

White drives Muta back-first into the barricade and then the edge of the ring apron. He hammerlocks Mutal and drives him bad arm-first into those same hard surfaces and then breaks the ref’s count so that he can inflict more punishment. He drives Mutas bad arm-first into a ringpost and then throws the referee from the ring to stop his count and continue attacking Mutas arm. He wraps it through the barricade as the referee gets up. The ref warns White, who simply responds "Disqualify me then!" Muta makes it to the ring eventually and White hits taunting kicks to the arm. The crowd chanting Muta’s name fires him up as he hits more forearms. He goes for an Irish whip but White counters with an arm wringer for a two-count. He chops Muta in a corner and hits another bevy of arm-targeting attacks. Mutai’s forced to use the bad arm to elbow out of a Saito suplex but White follows up with a hammerlock Saito suplex for a two-count. White pulls off Mutas wrist tape, elbow pad, and anything else he has on his arm to expose the bad arm completely. The crowd boos as White hits a big forearm to Muta’s weakened elbow as Muta writhes in pain as Schiavone wonders if the fans cheering for Muta has thrown Paul Jones initial game plan off.

White continues with hammerlocks and arm-targeting moves but Muta still fights back with forearms. He tries another Irish whip but again he can’t do it without hurting himself. White goes to capitalize, but this time Muta catches him with a dragon screw leg whip. Muta gets a few seconds to recover and then hits more forearms. White reverses a corner whip but Muta bounces out with a shotgun dropkick to White’s knee. Muta hits a second-rope somersault senton for a two-count and charges for a slingblade. White hits first with a chop to the chest but Muta tanks it and lands a strike barrage. White blocks another slingblade and the two counter each other back-and-forth, over and over, until White lands a reverse STO and a deadlift German suplex. White lands a Death Valley Bomb and gets a two-count. He appears to weaken his knee in the process so he slows things down with a chinlock. He goes for a sleeper suplex but Muta escapes, only for White to hit the bad arm. Muta charges…and runs into an uranage. 1......2....... Muta kicks out.

White goes for a Kiwi Crusher but Muta counters with two twisting neckbreakers. He tries a third but White collapses. Muta pulls him to knees and slaps him hard in the face. Muta tries that third neckbreaker again. White counters with a Fujiwara armbar. Muta squirms like crazy, desperately trying to escape. And just when it looks like Muta might reach a set of ropes, White switches to the other side while still maintaining control over the arm. White increases the pressure as Muta faces a very real possibility of losing via referee stoppage. White wrenches Mutas arm over and over, as if trying to pull the whole arm out of its socket. But somehow, somehow, Muta gets to the ropes with his feet, forcing a break.

Muta grabs the ropes to escape a suplex but White attacks the arm to break his grasp. Muta tries firing back and even hits a slap with his left arm. He catches White’s leg for another dragon screw but White hits elbows to stop him. And yet, Muta still lands the dragon screw, but he has to use his legs to do some of the pulling. Muta charges for a slingblade. White goes to counter into a Blade Runner. Muta counters back with not one but two successful slingblades. 1......2...... White kicks out. Muta goes for the High Fly Flow. White to get to his feet and cut Muta off. White goes for Blade Runner again. Muta counters with a bridging straightjacket German suplex for a two-count.

The ref gets distracted by Jones long enough for White to hit a low blow. White goes for the Blade Runner again. Muta escapes and lands a low blow of his own and rolls White up. 1......2...... White kicks out. Modified dragon screw. Muta goes for the Texas cloverleaf...... Blade Runner by White!!!  White pulls Muta in by his bad arm and covers him. 1......2........3!!!

And...... STILLLLLLL NWA SUPER JUNIORS WORLD CHAMPION....... JAY WHITE!!!!!

NJPW Presents: Wrestle Kingdom 8Waxccb

Tony Schiavone: "Jay White has had an incredible run the past four weeks! He said he would defend the title every week during the Road to Wrestle Kingdom and he did. Then he tops it off tonight with a successful defense against The Great Muta in his home country! It's going to take someone very special to derail The Switchblade!"

 Tomohiro Ishii vs Jeff Cobb

Side headlock from Ishii to start, Cobb sends him off and they collide, no budging. Same again. Same a third time. Fourth, Ishii stumbles. Cobb off, no movement, Ishii off, Cobb puts him down. There’s no doubt Cobb’s the bigger, stronger man, but a lot of people are bigger and stronger than Ishii. It’s about actually beating the immense fight out of him.

Forearm trade, slugging it out in the middle of the ring, back-and-forth. They’re not stopping. Ishii wins that, off the ropes, Cobb drops down, leapfrog, and catches Ishii with a big powerslam. Trade of chops now. Cobb wins that one, too. Cobb with more shots, Ishii no selling and catches Cobb with a powerslam, to return the favor from earlier. Ishii ripping Cobb with chops in the corner, mixing it with forearms. It’s the Ishii violence party.

Cobb reverses a whip to the corner, but Ishii springs right out and hits Cobb with a big shoulder tackle. Now to a stalemate as Ishii goes for a suplex, but Cobb blocks. Cobb goes for it, Ishii blocks. It’s Ishii getting Cobb up, and barely gets him up and over.

Headbutt from Ishii. Elbow shot, chop, chop, chop, Cobb back with a forearm and a chop, forearm, forearm. Both guys getting beaten up in this one. Huge forearm from Cobb drops Ishii to a knee. Cobb scoops Ishii up, pops him up into a vertical suplex and drops him down. Cobb with a deadlift German, hangs on, second German, hangs on, third German with a bridge for two. Ishii barely got the shoulder up.

Cobb hangs on, and tosses Ishii into the corner out of a German suplex position. Cobb in full control at the moment, hitting an avalanche uppercut in the corner. Cobb slow to capitalize after that, as he’s low on energy, too. Cobb taunting Ishii, telling him to come on. Ishii takes a forearm, spits on the ground, takes another, and now he’s leaning into Cobb’s forearms to prove a point. Ishii also headbutting the shoulder now. Cobb sent flying back into the corner with a big forearm and a lariat. Ishii sets Cobb up top, going for a superplex from the middle rope. Cobb fighting Ishii off, but Ishii won’t fall and he’s laughing in Cobb’s face, screaming at him. Ishii LEANING INTO FOREARMS WHILE HANGING OFF THE SECOND ROPE. Ishii with a headbutt to the sternum! Second rope superplex from Cobb shakes the ring!

Both guys missing strikes back in the middle of the ring. Cobb hits an exploder, Ishii springs up with a snap German, Cobb snaps up and they’re trading shots again, this time headbutts. Ishii with a lariat, Cobb with a big headbutt and they’re both down!

Back up and the slugfest resumes. Cobb pops Ishii up, but Ishii escapes, then turns around into an overhead belly-to-belly from Cobb for two. Ishii back with a huge lariat for two  We’re at the WHAT’S IT GONNA TAAAAAKE portion now. Cobb blocks the sliding lariat, pulls Ishii up, and throws him into the corner. Ishii on bad legs, but he hits Cobb with an enzuigiri. Elbow shot, Ishii with a brainbuster for the win!

NJPW Presents: Wrestle Kingdom XLgFvp0

Tony Schiavone: "That match was the pure definition of what kind of action you can expect here in New Japan! Those two athletes beat each other like I've never seen before. Just unreal!"

Kerry Von Erich vs Kensuki Sasake

Kerry Von Erich vs Kensuki Susaki : Before the match , Tony lets it be known that Kerry was recently let go by Progress and is looking for a new home . He’s a free agent , it’s rumored he loves Japan .

The two men exchanges chops , the Power Warrior though gets the better of the exchange and then hits a flying shoulder tackle . After 15 minutes of action , Susaki goes for a Press Slam , Kerry gets out the back . Discuss Punch and then a Bulldog for the 3 !!

British Bulldogs vs Hart Foundation w/Gary Hart for the NJPW Tag Team Title

Brett and Dynamite start things off. Dynamite hits a few armdrags as  Gary Hart is screaming instructions. Dynamite sends Brett to the floor then ends up tagging out. The Anvil overpowers him for a bit but Dynamite kicks him down. Anvil gets hit with a double shoulder block then he and Davey use a test of strength. Davey hits a dropkick then Brett tags back. Davey is getting beat on by both men, even getting hit with the Decapitation spot. Davey flips out of a backbreaker attempt and hits a slam as both men are down. Bret prevents a tag from being made as a “bulldog” chant breaks out. Davey hits a crucifix but the Anvil breaks that up. Davey dodges an attack from Bret that sends Anvil off the apron then he makes the tag to Dynamite, who runs wild. He is going at a lightning quick pace that has the crowd going crazy. He takes out Brett with a missile dropkick then tags Davey, who hits a running powerslam that Neidhart breaks up at two. Small package gets two after the Anivl breaks that up. Davey tries a reverse rollup but Brett ducks and he flies out to the floor. The Anvil roughs him up then rolls him back inside, where Brett applies a Boston Crab that Dynamite breaks up. Neidhart tags and works a chinlock for a bit. Davey escapes and gets a backslide but Brett breaks that up. He and Davey then have a brief pinfall reversal sequence. Davey dropkicks Brett and tries to make the tag but the Anvil drags him into their corner. Davey tries for a sunset flip but the bell sounds, signaling the match has ended due to the time limit.

Tony Schiavone: "This is the second meeting between these teams..... and twice they have went to the time limit draw! I guess there's a reason they are the number one and two ranked teams respectively! But coming from a fans perspective,  I want to see these guys go until there's a decisive winner!"

Sting vs Razor Ramon for the NWA National Title

Razor takes his toothpick and flicks it in Stings face and Sting gets in his face and pounds him down to get us started. Razor bails out and complains about the closed fists. Back in, Ramon with a few shoulder surges but Sting no sells and clubs him back into the corner. Ramon teases a test of strength but instead gives Sting a thumb to the eye. They both block hiptosses before Ramon takes over with a CHOKESLAM! STING GOES DOWN! Sting no sells the ChokeSlam and facebusts Razor into the mat. Sting with a haymaker and a Mongolian chop and a Bluechipper dropkick. Razor flails around and bumps out of the ring. THAT FIRES UP THE STINGER!

Sting gets to the apron and Ramon of course LARIATOS him down. Cover gets 1, 2, only 2. Razor with the discus punch and a running clothesline in the corner. Razor follows up with the Snap Ab Suplex for 1....2...... NO!  Ramon paintbrushes Sting and goes back to the eyes before they collide on a coconut and Sting faceplants into Razors nether regions. That draws an audible groan from the crowd. Double KO spot. BUT WAIT...... HERE COMES LEX LUGER!!!

Razor drapes the arm for 1.....2.......NO!  Razor goes back to the patented right hands but Stings up for the atomic drop and Stinger Splash. Sting rolls him over for the Deathlock. Luger is pounding the ringaoron when AJ Styles now comes out to question Luger. Styles and Luger argue and Sting sees this happening.  Sting goes to the ropes and we can hear him say "DIDNT I TELL YOU GUYS TO STAY AWAY?"

Razor waffles him from behind. Styles and Luger get into a pushing match. Styles nails Luger and leaves ringside. Luger is down. Sting goes out yo check on Luger, as the ref begins to count. Sting is clearly aggravated at Luger. As the ref reaches the 8 count, Sting goes to enter the ring but Lex grabs STINGS hand,....... 9............ 10!! Sting is counted out!  Razor takes his title and heads to the dressing room as Sting can't believe what just happened.

Tony Schiavone: "Ive known both these men for a long time. They are the best of friends! But lately it seems, Luger is anything but a friend!"

NJPW Presents: Wrestle Kingdom EtWsREd

Main Event: Ricky Steamboat vs Minoru Suzuki for the NJPW Heavyweight title

The bell rings and they circle each other. They tease a Greco-Roman knuckle lock but it doesn’t happen. They try it again and Steamboat applies an armlock but Suzuki reverses it into armlock of his own. Steamboat escapes and tries a dropkick but Suzuki dodges and kicks him in the back.  Some mat wrestling ensues with both men exchanging control and Steamboat starts working the leg. Steamboat with a headlock that Suzuki struggles to escape from for a bit until the hold is broken on the rope.

Suzuki knees Steamboat against the ropes and the crowd is more evenly-split. More technical wrestling exchanges as both of them cinch in headlocks until Suzuki chops Steamboat chest. Suzuki whips Steamboat, who reverses it and struggles but eventually gets an abdominal stretch in the middle of the ring. Suzuki gets up and he looks more pissed than usual. He slaps Steamboat and they start hitting forearms on each other. Steamboat with more forearms, but Suzuki catches him and locks in the rope-hung cross armbreaker and keeps it locked in for a long time until the referee forces the break.

Suzuki whips Steamboat into the barrier and then locks in the armbreaker through a gap in the barrier and then tosses Steamboat arm-first into the barrier again before locking an armbar around the ringpost. Suzuki is in full control as he continues his arm-focused onslaught with forearms kicks to Steamboats arm. Another modified standing armbar targets the same arm and then Suzuki locks in a headscissors as well until Steamboat reaches the ropes.

Suzuki hits stiff strikes to Steamboat until Steamer tries a comeback with his good arm, but Suzuki puts a stop to that with a hard headbutt. Suzuki locks in a grounded kimura and Steamboat reaches the rope with his foot. Suzuki then stands on Steamboat’s arm as he taunts the crowd to make more noise, and then locks in another armbar and begins to remove the tape on Steamboat arm and also tries to bend his fingers at the ten-minute mark.

Steamboat continues to try and make a comeback, but each time he tries, Suzuki shuts him down with hard forearms to the head and knees to the gut. Suzuki slaps Steamboat hard in the face, hits a snapmare and goes for a running kick but Steamboat catches his leg and stands up. This time Suzuki tries to slap Steamboat as hard as he can but Steamboat works through the pain and hits a vicious dragon screw. Suzuki didn’t roll with that move, so it looks like his leg got wrenched badly. This gives Steamboat crucial recovery time.

Steamboat charges a corner but Suzuki kicks him, so Steamboat slaps him hard in the face. Now Steamboat hits forearms of his own as the crowd chants with each one and then hits his second dragon screw and three basement dropkicks to Suzuki’s knee.

Steamboat tries to lift Suzuki up, but he’s in pain at the ropes. Steamboat stomps away on Suzuki’s knee. Irish whip by Steamboat gets reversed by Suzuki, but Steamboat hits a flying forearm. Steamboat tries to pick Suzuki up but Suzuki kicks him in the bad arm several times. He tries a waistlock but Suzuki reverses into another kimura lock while also in a pinning position. Then, Suzuki starts ripping off Steamboat’s bandages with his teeth. He’s determined to destroy that arm. Steamboat struggles but manages to reach the rope with his foot again. Irish whip by Suzuki followed by a big boot, and then it’s back to the kimura until Suzuki tries to lock in a sleeper hold.

Steamboat manages to toss Suzuki off of himself and charges, but Suzuki has him scouted and hits a Nakamura-style flying armbar in the centre of the ring. He keeps it locked in for a very long time as Steamboat struggles to escape and endure the pain until once again he reaches the ropes. Suzuki tries for the sleeper again but this time Steamboat locks in a sleeper of his own and turns it into a standing slingblade. The crowd chants Steamboat’s name again. Steamer goes for the dragon suplex but Suzuki kicks him in the knee and hits a chop block, followed by a High Fly Flow to the leg.  Suzuki writhes in pain as Steamboat tries the Boston Crab but Suzuki fights through, so he tries to transition into a figure-4 leglock. Suzuki stops it for a bit but Steamboat eventually locks it in fully as Suzuki screams in pain in the middle of the ring. Suzuki musters as much strength as he can and starts taunting Steamboat as Steamer wrenches the leglock even more. Suzuki almost reaches the ropes but Steamboat drags himself and Suzuki back to the centre of the ring and wrenches the hold some more. Suzuki continues to trash talk at the twenty-minute mark.

After an excruciating two-and-a-half minutes in the hold, Suzuki manages to reach the ropes. They both get up and Steamboat hits his third dragon screw. They get up and Suzuki ducks a crossbody attempt, but as he tries to run the ropes for a counter, he can only hobble on one leg. Steamboat runs the ropes again but Suzuki responds with a standing dropkick out of nowhere right to Steambiats weakened shoulder.

Suzuki slaps his own leg to try and get himself worked up enough to continue and the crowd is cheering wildly. Both men are up and they have a classic strong style slap exchange in the middle of the ring. Steamboat tries to keep fighting but Suzuki kicks his arm and continues destroying Steambiars face. Steamboat tries to show some guts but Suzuki ducks one of his strikes and cinches in another sleeper hold

They’re in the middle of the ring and Steamboat has no way of escaping. Suzuki suplexes Steamboat over his shoulder and does a straddling sleeper hold in the middle of the ring. Steamboat looks like he’s about to pass out yet still musters some energy to stay awake. He starts to fade and the ref is checking on him to see if he’s passed out. Then,Steamboat awakens and in a last ditch burst of energy reaches the bottom rope.

Suzuki gets up and Steamboat looks completely spent. Suzuki taunts him to get up. He slaps Steamboat iin the face and keeps bringing Steamboars face back up when it looks like he has no more energy. This keeps going until Steamboat crumples back down, seemingly exhausted at the 25-minute mark.

Suzuki applies a front facelock and looks like he’s going for his Gotch-style piledriver (his main finisher) but Steamboat counters into his fourth dragon screw leg whip which connects, but Suzuki rolls into a sleeper hold once again. Steamboat looks out of it again and Suzuki lifts him up for the piledriver, but he keeps fighting through. He tries to lift Suzuki but fails. Suzuki tries again and Steamboat hits his fifth dragon screw leg whip. The fans chant Steamboat’s name as both men are down.

They get up and Suzuki tries kicking with his good leg, but Steamboat catches it and dropkicks the bad leg. Steamboat starts to gain momentum as he ascends the top rope. He tries the high crossbody but Suzuki gets his knees up at the last second. Suzuki hobbles over to Steamboat and delivers his Gotch piledriver, 1........ 2..........3!!! MINORU SUZUKI IS YOUR NJPW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!

NJPW Presents: Wrestle Kingdom FYLIfUl

Tony Schiavone: "Fans, you can watch this great sport your entire life, and you will never find another wrestler who has more heart than Ricky Steamboat! For nearly 30 minutes he went toe to toe with Suzuki, and not many people can say that! But on this night, Minoru Suzuki has overcame the odds, and after a four week, grueling tournament,  he is your NJPW Heavyweight Champion! And after whatvwe have seen tonight...... it's gonna take one hell of a man to put him down!"
