VINCE McMAHON opens the show by reminding everyone that tonight on TBS , the NWA in conjunction with California Championship Wrestling will be holdong a big card tonight,live on TBS, fron the Cow Palace in San Francisco and tonight the NWA will crown the 1ST NWA World Heavyweight Champion!
And also CCW will be providing some great indercard matches with TWO other world title matches!
VINCE says he'll have the full lineup at the end of todays show with a few FCW syrprise appearances for tonight!
Of course this brings out JIMMY HART and his man...in the finals to decide the 1st ever NWA World Champ...tje Russian Nightmare...NIKITA KOLOFF!
JIMMY HART:" UNDERTAKER...your time is running out baby! In a few short hours thjis man standung beside me..the RUSSIAN NIGHTMARE...is going to be just that..your worst nightmare!
Whether u r a deadman or a so called badass,it doesnt matter ! Whatever you are tonight, one thing is going to happen...you will be defeated and NIKITA KOLOFF will be crowned the NEW NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!!
Can you dig that VINNIE BOY? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
NIKITA:" ( in his thick accent) UNDERTAKER...you want to play the deadman? Well tonight ,NIKITA KOLOFF , is not playiong...you want to be dead,then dead you will be!"
1st Match:CCW TV Title Match
RODDY PIPER (c) w/DAVID SHULTZ vs DOMENIC DENUCCI
DENUCCI gives a damn good effort but PIPER uses every trick he can get away with to eventually get a schoolboy roll up with help from grabbing the tights!
PIPER then cuts a quick promo!
PIPER: " Well i aint one for waiting and i dont give a damn if i spoil the big news but tonight at the Cow Palace,Ol' HOT ROD gets his shot at the NWA World Tv Champion...JIMMY" BUTTERFLY" SNUKA...and tonight im gonna show everyone that it isnt music that sooths the savage beast...its my fists that tame savages!"
STEVE AUSTIN is shown on a pretaped promo where he has asked the CCW BOG if he can have PIPER and SHULTZ in a handicap match next week on tv!
The BOG shot down that idea and told him he has to pick a partner!
STONE COLD says he was told it could be anyone and that next week he'll reveal his partner when the match takes place!
2nd Match: STING vs MIKE MODEST
MODEST cant handle the power or wrestling ability and eventually submits to the Scorpion Deathlock
3rd Match: The FABULOUSE ONES( KEIRN/LANE) vs THE TWIN DEVILS
The MASKED MEN take any early advantage as the liberally break rules and use a lot of double teaming!
The FABS eventually rebound and KEIRN gets the pin one one of the DEVILS after hitting a bodypress!
Afterwards The FABS cut a short promo on being in the tag team tournament to crown the AMERICS Tag Team Champions!
4th Match: SID VICIOUS vs ROCKY STONE
STONE is absolutely no match for SID as SID laughs off his weal attempts at any offense!
SID hits a choke slam and goes for the power bomb when VADER runs into the ring and attacks SID causing a dq!
VADER pounds away on the stunned VICIOUS...tosses him out to the floor...follows him out and hits a Vader Bomb on the arena floor!!
VADER stands over SID and thankfully leaves!
EMTS and security then have to stretcher VICIOYS out and to the local hospital!
CAPTAIN LOU ALBANO comes out with The DEVIL'S DUO and cuts a promo on the upcoming totrnament to crown the AMERICAS Tag Team Champions and also send out a warning to the NWA World Tag Team Champs-The FREEBIRDS!!
5th Match" GINO HERNANDEZ w/ The GRAND WIZARD vs COWBOY SCOTT CASEY
A great back and forth match that has the crowd not knowing who would pull out the win!
It is GINO as he gets a submission with the Texas Cloverleaf!
After the match GINO and WIZARD cut a promo on the travesty that happened as GINO made no monthly rankings list !
These two promised...or moreso warned anyone who would listen that the Gorgeous One is about to make believers out of all the doubters!
6th Match: BADNEWS BROWN vs MOONDOG ED MORRETI
MORRETI tries but BNB is in a foul mood and takes it out on MORRETI!
After punishing ED for several minutes BROWN tires of him and hits the Ghetto Blaster to end things with the three count!
VINCE comes out a runs down tonights big lineup on TBS!
PAT PATTERSON takes on the always dangerous JOSE ESTRADA
STING has a tough one against the cagey and unpredictable JOHNNY RODZ
In a battle of badasses STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN faces DR.D DAVID SHULTZ
For the NWA World Super Junior Title, champion-CHRIS JERICHO defends against ERIC EMBRY
From FCW...The FANTASTICS are out for revenge as they take on PERCY PRINGLE'S team of the ZAMBUII EXPRESS
The NWA World TV title is on the line as champion- JIMMY"SUPERFLY" SNUKA faces the cocky and confident CCW TV Champion...The Rowdy One-RODDY PIPER!
The DEVIL'S DUO of KEVIN SULLIVAN and BUZZ SAWYER with CAPTAIN LOU ALBANO face the FABULOUS ONES!
