Before the event begins there is a free meet and greet with Mickie James.
Match One: Owen Hart & Davey Boy Smith vs Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard
This one doesnt take long to get physical as the growing rivalry between these two teams continunes. Davey uses his power to keep the Horsemen team rocked. But it doesnt take long for Arn and Tully to reach into their bag of tricks and start double teaming Owen. After 30 grueling minutes, the time limit expires and this one is a draw.
Match Two: Rey Mysterio vs Andrade:
Another solid rivalry continues the show as Mysterio flies all over the ring hit ariel manuevers that rocks Andrade. But as comes with most high flying antics comes the risk as Mysterio tries a frog splash that sees Andrade get his knees up and then hits the hooked arm ddt to get the win.
Match Three: Toni Storm vs Riho for the WCW Womens title:
Storm is making her first title defense in this one as we start to see the Japanese talent arriving here in WCW after it was announced last week that WCW will be having an upcoming Nitro episode in Japan after Wrestle KIngdom. Toni puts Riho away with Storm Zero to successfully retain her title.
Match Four: Keith Lee vs Cactus Jack:
Cactus does everything in his power to try and keep the big man grounded, but its just not to be as Lee proves to be too much for Cactus to handle and Lee gets the win after hitting The Big Bang Catastrophe.
Match Five: The Lucha Brothers vs Harley Race & Nick Bockwinkle for the IWA World tag team titles:
This one obviously has a huge contrast in styles as its clear to see that Race and Bockwinkle have never faced anyone like the Lucha Brothers. The Lucha Bros use quick tags in and out to keep the champs off their game, but the world champs didnt win the titles for nothing, as they battle back and figure out its best trying to mat wrestle against these challengers. Things break loose around the 20 minute mark and it looks like we may have new champs when the Bros go for the package piledriver but here comes The Freebirds!! The birds hit the ring and attack all four men. They throw the Lucha Bros out of the ring. Hayes hits his running bulldog on Bockwinkle as Gordy hits Race with a thunderous piledriver. Jimmy Garvin has a chair and begins beating the world champs with it. DDT to Bockwinkle on the chair by Hayes. Gordy has Race locked in the Oriental Spike. Security storms the ring, but its too late.....the Birds have done the damage. The Birds grab the world tag titles and then leave the ring with them.
Main Event: Tommy Rich vs Ric Flair inside a steel cage for the IWA World title:
This matchup has been weeks in the making as Rich has dropped Flair on two different occassions with a DDT, leaving the champ down. And once the cage is locked, it doesnt take long for the animosity between these two to fly. And as a matter of fact, within 15 minutes, both men are bloody from battering each other into the cage mesh walls. Rich has Flair reeling.....Rich hits a neckbreaker, followed up by that DDT. but Rich climbs the turnbuckles and leaps off with a Thesz press but Flair uses the momentum and rolls through, grabbing Rich by the leg and applying the figure four! Try as he can, Rich does his best to fight out, but its locked in and Rich has to submit. Flair retains the world title after a bloody contest.
