HIGHLIGHTS:

We see a recap of AEW ’99 in the Shade’ featuring the classic between CHARLOTTE FLAIR and RONDA ROUSEY, the debut of KAZUCHIKA OKADA and WALTER as they tore the house down, and HHH showing up and helping SHAWN MICHAELS retain the AEW title in his steel cage match against THE ROCK

….


HUGE pyro explodes from the stage and entranceway as 10,000 strong are on their feet in the AEW ‘Asylum’ in Southern California …. Joey Styles and Pat McAfee join us ringside as LOS ANGELES … IS … ALL ELITE!


The show gets kicked off as THE ROCK’s music hits and the people go crazy …. But he’s not alone …. THE ROCK comes out on stage and cuts his music, then the music of THE BLOODLINE hits and out comes ROMAN REIGNS and the USO’s!!!! …. They all come to the ring, and REIGNS has the mic …. When family calls, you answer the call and THE ROCK is no longer a man that stands alone against the N.W.O …. ROCK takes the mic …. “So basically what that means SHAWN MICHAELS, Boy Toy, is that you and the rest of your N.W.O boyfriends bring your monkey asses to the ring so the ROCK and the BLOODLINE can layeth the smacketh down on your roooooooooooty poooo … CANDY ASSES!!!!  IF YA SMEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLOOOOOOOWWWW ….”

THE ROCK is cut off as the N.W.O come out …. HBK has the mic and says that this is all real cute …. There is someone in this business that can actually stand the ROCK’s tired off schtick …. But I guess when you are family you don’t have any choice but to be there for each other …. But the bottom line is there aren’t enough of them because they are equal to the ENTIRE Anoa’i Family and they ain’t taking shit from the N.W.O …. ROCK says since they won’t come to the ring, allow THE ROCK and the BLOODLINE to come to their bitch asses!

ROCK and the BLOODLINE leave the ring and head up the ramp, and the N.W.O meet them and we get a HUGE brawl …. The fight goes all over the place as the entire AEW locker room empties in an attempt to break it up!!!!  The SAMOANS and the N.W.O are taking EVERYONE out!  AEW officials and more referees come out next, trying to break it up but even they end up being casualties of the chaos!!!!  DANA WHITE is out now, AND HE BRINGS THE POLICE WITH HIM!!!!  It takes the police to break up this melee and we go to break trying to restore order to the show ….


IN THE BACK:

THE BLOODLINE and the N.W.O are still trying to get at each other, and it is taking the LAPD to keep them apart so DANA WHITE kicks all of them out of the building for the rest of the show!!!!

THE BAR have a successful debut as SHEAMUS pins WOODS following a Brogue Kick ….

POST MATCH: THE REVIVAL come out and cut a promo, putting THE BAR on notice by saying they are STILL the top guys in the AEW tag team division ….


IN THE BACK:

RHEA RIPLEY cuts a promo and says she is this womens divisions new resident monster …. She talks about how she walked in the door and went straight for the top when she took out ASUKA, but now her little buddy IO SHIRAI wants to stick her nose in RHEA’s business …. She will fight IO too, and suggests they do it right here next week ….


Up next, TESSA BLANCHARD comes out to the ring to a chorus of boos from the crowd …. WE SEE A REPLAY FROM LAST WEEK WITH TESSA TURNING ON HER BEST FRIEND CHARLOTTE FLAIR AND ATTACKING HER AS SASHA BANKS AND BAYLEY LOOKED ON IN SHOCK …. She says everyone wants an explanation but there are only 2 people that deserve one …. She calls SASHA & BAYLEY to the ring …. They come out and TESSA tells them they have a choice to make …. VALKYRIE is the one that started this whole women’s revolution, not CHARLOTTE …. CHARLOTTE wasn’t even here when VALKYRIE was formed, but look what has happened since she showed up …. She sucked all the spotlight away from the women that really deserve it, all because of the silver spoon that is in her mouth because of who her daddy is …. Just think about it, how many times have they even been on TV since CHARLOTTE showed up?  TESSA walks off, leaving BAYLEY & SASHA standing there conflicted ….


IN THE BACK:

The LAPD are escorting the N.W.O out of the arena …. SHAWN MICHAELS has his bags and is all set to leave with them, but DANA WHITE is there and tells him he isn’t going anywhere …. The rest of the N.W.O is leaving, but HBK is the champion and he needs him to promote the world title match against FLAIR coming up at ‘Violence of the Lambs’ …. HBK says that he has already sent his message to FLAIR loud and clear with a little bit of ‘Sweet Chin Music’ …. HBK calls the shots around here and he’s leaving …. WHITE says that everyone answers to someone, and he has sponsors to answer to so HBK is going to have to show his face on camera to promote the match …. HBK ‘too sweets’ the rest of the N.W.O and tells them he will catch up with them back at the hotel ….

Up next, we some more comedy on down-on-his-luck CAMERON GRIMES as he is out trying to sell his discontinued merchandise to fans at ringside …. OIympic Gold Medalist KURT ANGLE comes out and cuts a promo about having a hungry locker room and he issues an open challenge to anyone to come out and face him one on one …. This gets GRIMES attention, and before anyone else can answer the challenge GRIMES leaves his makeshift merchandise table and answers the challenge!


KURT ANGLE vs. CAMERON GRIMES
ANGLE doesn’t take the challenge too seriously at first, but GRIMES shows that he can hang with him in the ring ….. the action goes back and forth but ANGLE counters the Cave in attempt by grabbing the ankle and locking on the Ankle Lock, forcing GRIMES to tap out ….

POST MATCH: DAMIEN PRIEST slides in the ring as GRIMES is trying to get up and lays him out with the Reckoning!  PRIEST and ANGLE are face to face, and the ‘Archer of Infamy’ wants his name to live forever, and how better to achieve the infamy than to beat an Olympic Gold Medalist …. ANGLE says that PRIEST has some balls stepping to him, and he accepts the challenge for next week ….


IN THE BACK:

We get a promo from CODY RHODES and BRANDI about CODY laying out DANIEL BRYAN last week …. BRANDI cuts a promo, and the fans boo the shit out of her because she is so unlikeable …. BRANDI says that CODY is the future of the Rhodes’ legacy and he will do whatever it takes to make sure that legacy is secure for their child …. No more disrespecting the name CODY, because it’s about the first name, not the last name …. Last week, you saw what CODY is capable of when BRANDI is at his side …. CODY says that tried to do things the right way and have it just be about wrestling, the competition.  He tried to show BRYAN respect, but then BRYAN left him hanging …. So last week, DANIEL BRYAN felt what real power feels like …. He gave him the gift of the Bionic Elbow, the only meaningful thing his father DUSTY ever gave him ….

DANIEL BRYAN interrupts and tells BRANDI to shut her hole …. CODY gets pissed, but BRYAN slaps the ever-loving fuck out of him!!!!  CODY is stunned …. BRYAN says “You want to talk about disrespect?  Now THAT was disrespect!”  If CODY thinks that BRYAN doesn’t deserve to be the one in the TV title tournament, then he can face him again next week and prove he deserves to be there more than him …. Except this time it’s gonna be 2/3 falls and BRYAN is gonna kick his fucking head in!


MIZ TV w/ IMPERIUM (WALTER, Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner)

MIZ starts off talk show putting himself over, saying he is a star and deserves to be treated as such …. But lately the A-LIST hasn’t been getting the repect it deserves …. They are former AEW tag team champions, FORMER WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!!  IMPERIUM came out on his show last week with an agenda, and they disrespected them!  

WALTER’s music hits and out comes IMPERIUM …. WALTER says that the A-LIST disrespects IMPERIUM with their mere existence …. This is not what the sport of wrestling represents, this is NOT show business …. IMPERIUM enters the ring and the massive HAMMERSTONE steps in between them and MIZ …. WALTER says that they are not cowards, they attack when necessary not from behind …. They defend the honor of this sport because the mat is scared to them, and no one that dishonors it is safe ….


THE A-LIST (Miz & John Morrison & Alexander Hammerston) w/ Maryse, & Taya Valkyrie vs. IMPERIUM (WALTER, Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner)
This is a knockdown, drag-out match as HAMMERSTONE is the star of this match for the A-LIST, especially when he is in the ring with WALTER …. Those two bulls collide on several occasions and it is a sight to behold …. The end of the match sees HAMMERSTONE actually hit the Nightmare Pendulum on WALTER, but AICHNER & BARTHEL double team HAMMERSTONE and take him out with the Enigma Code …. MORRISON goes for the Flying Chuck but WALTER swats him out of the air with a big chop ….. WALTER focuses his attack on MIZ, hitting a powerbomb onto the apron outside the ring followed by a Buckle Bomb where he tosses MIZ into the ring post …. MIZ gets absolutely destroyed here, and WALTER tosses him back in the ring and plants him with another big powerbomb to get the pinfall …. IMPERIUM wins in dominating fashion ….


VIGNETTE:

We get a vignette hyping KAZUCHIKA OKADA with highlights of his debut match against WALTER at ’99 in the Shade’ …. OKADA cuts a promo about making an impact and declares his intentions to be the AEW champion ….


TNT TITLE MATCH: (Champion) ‘The Machine BRIAN CAGE vs. JON MOXLEY w/ Paul Heyman
CAGE overpowers MOXLEY early, hitting a clothesline and then tossing him into the corner and laying in shoulder blocks …. Short arm clothesline by CAGE and he continues to control but MOXLEY fires back with a missile dropkick off the 2nd rope!  MOXLEY works the massive arm of CAGE, but CAGE blocks a cross-arm breaker and deadlifts MOXLEY up into a powerbomb!  MOXLEY rolls to the floor and they brawl there, but MOXLEY manages to trap CAGE’s arm between the ring steps and the post and kicks the steps into the injured arm!!!!  Back in the ring MOXLEY hits a knee trembler to CAGE that has him wobbly!  Another Knee Trembler!  CAGE is still on his feet!  MOXLEY goes for the Paradigm Shift but CAGE reverses out and hits a jumping knee that rocks MOXLEY!  DICSUS LARIAT TO MOXLEY!  Both men are down, and CAGE has to use the corner to stand while MOXLEY is on one knee!  MOXLEY fires up, but CAGE stops him only for MOXLEY to come right back with the rebound lariat!  MOXLEY goes for the Paradigm Shift again but again CAGE blocks it and hits an F-5!  Both men are down again!!!! …. HEYMAN on the apron as CAGE is going for the Drillclaw, but MOXLEY hits a low blow!  PARADIGM SHIFT!  MOXLEY covers for the 1 … 2 … THE REF IS PULLED OUT RIGHT BEFORE THE 3!!!!

MOXLEY is shocked and looking around, and on the outside of the ring he sees …..






CM PUNK pulled the ref to the floor!  MOXLEY goes after PUNK but PUNK grabs his foot and pulls him under the bottom rope!  PUNK beats the shit out of MOXLEY all around the ring.  He locks on the Anaconda Vice!!!!  MOXLEY struggles to get free, but the harder he struggles the deeper PUNK locks in the hold!  MOXLEY fades and PUNK chokes him out!  PUNK takes the mic and tells MOXLEY “You … got … Punk’d!!!!”  PUNK says that at ‘Violence of the Lambs’, no one is gonna be there to make him let go in their street fight!


We are almost out of time as the music of the AEW champion, ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ SHAWN MICHAELS hits …. HBK comes out alone, and says that he is basically here because DANA WHITE wants to kiss the sponsors asses and HBK equals ratings …. He says the N.W.O runs this show and WHITE needs to remember that ….

THE THEME FROM ‘2001: a Space Odyssey’ HITS AND OUT COMES THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION, ‘Nature Boy’ RIC FLAIR!!!!  

FLAIR comes out to the ring and says that HBK wanted his attention, so now he has it.  Except FLAIR isn’t going to come running through the crowd and sneak attack him because that is not how the Horsemen handle business …. FLAIR compares the two of them, saying he is alligator shoes and custom suits while HBK is assless chaps and long earrings …. RIC FLAIR is the one with a playboy bunny on each arm, but HBK is the one posing for Playgirl ….

As FLAIR is talking, suddenly the other HORSEMEN appear out of nowhere around the ring …. THE 4 HORSEMEN ARE HERE AND HBK IS ALL ALONE!  HBK sees this and he doesn’t try to escape, if he’s going down he’s going down fighting!  RIGHT HAND KNOCKS FLAIR ON HIS ASS!  That’s about all HBK has a chance to do as the other Horsemen jump him and it’s a 4 on 1 beatdown!!!!  HBK tries to fight back but it’s no use, and the HORSEMEN strip HBK down to his underwear as they beat him down …. As this is happening, FLAIR is standing nearby slowly unbuttoning his shirt and loosening his tie …. When HBK finally stops fighting back, then FLAIR steps in and drops a knee right to the crotch of HBK!  FLAIR NOW LOCKS ON THE FIGURE FOUR AS THE HORSEMEN TAKE TURNS STOMPING HIM ON THE KNEE!




Finally, DANA WHITE and more AEW officials come out and pull the HORSEMEN off of HBK …. FLAIR lets out a big ‘Wooooooooo’ as the HORSEMEN are led away while HBK is tended to and the show goes off the air ….

DUDE...THAT OPENING SEGMENT WAS DAMNED AWESOME!

There is SO much you can do with these factions!

I'm looking forward to this fued!
