HIGHLIGHTS:

We get a lot of focus on the Hell in a Cell match between HULK HOGAN and CM PUNK that was an all-time great match.  We also see still focusing on ASUKA vs. BRITT BAKER as well as THE A-LIST vs. UNDISPUTED ERA ….

- Highlights from last weeks show, which included SHAWN MICHAELS facing CHRIS JERICHO’s new persona, the ‘Pain Maker’ …. THE ROCK got involved, laying out both men and standing tall ….  



Huge pyro explodes from the stage and 10,000 strong are on their feet in the Beyond ‘Asylum’ in SoCal .... Mauro Renallo and Corey Graves join us ringside and LOS ANGELES . . . IS . . . ALL ELITE! . . .

MAURO – “We are back in sunny Southern California where inside the AEW Asylum it is ’99 in the shade’!  I’m Mauro Renallo and with me as always is my partner in crime Corey Graves, and welcome to ALL ELITE WRESTLING!  SUPERCLASH is in the books and to say that the IWA has returned with a vengeance is an understatement ….”  

GRAVES – “Mauro, what an indescribable night of action we witnessed, I’m still sitting here speechless after what we saw between HULK HOGAN and CM PUNK in the biggest match in wrestling history ….”

MAURO – “Couldn’t have said it better myself Corey.  That match has not only the wrestling world talking, but the entire sports world including outlets like ESPN, Bleacher Report, and Outkick the Coverage.  But now we have to look forward, and we’ve got a killer lineup for tonight’s show ….”


The show opens with an in-ring segment featuring THE ROCK …. ROCK comes out to a huge pop …. “FINALLY … THE ROCK … HAS COME BACK … TO LOOOOOOS ANGEEEELLLLEEEESSS!”  THE ROCK is tired of all the games, tired of all the running.  He says if SHAWN MICHAELS has any sugar in that sack of testicles he will come out here and go ‘One on One with the Great One’!  

Instead, THE ROCK is cut off by the arrival of CHRIS JERICHO …. JERICHO asks ROCK to ‘Please … shut the hell … UP!’  JERICHO is not done with SHAWN MICHAELS yet and the AEW title belongs to HIM!  JERICHO is the first champion, the ONLY champion and he built this company.  This company runs on the power of HIS name.  THE ROCK needs to go back to Hollywood and leave the wrestling for the REAL men ….

RIGHT HAND BY THE ROCK STAGGERS JERICHO!  JERICHO fires back and we’ve got a brawl now …. JERICHO WALKS RIGHT INTO THE SPINEBUSTER FROM THE ROCK!  ROCK signals to the crowd and then hits the ropes for the People’s Elbow, but he is cut off with Sweet Chin Music out of nowhere from SHAWN MICHAELS!!!!  HBK IS HERE!  MICHAELS tosses JERICHO to the floor, then throws him into the ring steps …. HBK takes the ring steps apart and then piledrives JERICHO on top of the steps!!!!  HOLY SHIT!!!!  HBK isn’t done there and he slides back in, waiting for the ROCK to get up …. He drills him with a shot from the AEW title!!!!  ROCK is busted open now as HBK stands tall ….

Coming back from the commercial break, we learn that SHAWN MICHAELS has been given the night off and has left the building …. Both CHRIS JERICHO and THE ROCK are being tended to backstage, and it is announced that next Week they will face each other one on one with the winner facing SHAWN MICHAELS for the AEW title ….



ALEISTER BLACK def. LANCE STORM
STORM relentlessly works the leg of BLACK to take away the Black Mass and limit his striking ability …. BLACK takes the punishment but STORM is unable to put him away with the Canadian Maple Leaf.  BLACK would strike with the Black Mass out of nowhere and get the pin ….


IN THE BACK – QUINN MCKAY is with SHANE MCMAHON in the back …. He introduces AEW’s new secondary title … The TNT Television title …. The first champion will be crowned in a one-night tournament coming soon …. He says the participants will be announced in the coming weeks, but he wants to introduce the first entrant personally, and it is a man that he recently re-signed to AEW ….




Up next, ELI DRAKE comes out to the ring …. LET ME TALK TO YA!  He says SHANE MCMAHON taylor made the TNT title just for him because since he stepped foot in AEW he has consistently week in and week out been the best performer in this ring …. He did it against DANIEL BRYAN, he did it against everyone’s new favorite toy HANGMAN PAGE …. And he’s going to do it this week too …. “And that’s not an insult … THAT is just a fact of life!”


’Hangman’ ADAM PAGE vs. ELI DRAKE
DRAKE controls a good portion of the match, but all it takes is one mistake to allow PAGE to fire back …. PAGE hits the Buckshot Lariat but DRAKE kicks out …. DRAKE comes back and goes for Blunt Force Trauma but PAGE reverses in mid-move into the Dead Eye and that’s enough to get the pin ….


Up next, ‘CULT OF PERSONALITY’ by Living Colour hits and brings out CM PUNK and PAUL HEYMAN …. DEAN AMBROSE is with them for some reason …. HEYMAN takes the mic, but PUNK looks anxious and bothered and he paces the ring with his arms crossed the whole time …. HEYMAN launches into one of his rants and he puts PUNK over and proclaims HOGAN ‘immortal’, but says that PUNK is the hero they NEED, not the hero they WANT.  HEYMAN puts over that PUNK is straight-edge, he doesn’t do drugs, doesn’t drink, and doesn’t smoke …. He is a role model and champion of the people …. HEYMAN proclaims PUNK the Straight-edge world champion.  

PUNK cuts HEYMAN off …. NO! ….  No more world titles, no more monikers, no more labels …. He wants to talk directly to HULK HOGAN.  PUNK puts over their war at SUPERCLASH and he says, on that night, HOGAN was the better man …. He doent have a problem admitting that because CM PUNK isn’t going away …. He wanted to do things on his own, without the bullshit, and that is what he did …. He just came up short ….

This whole time, MOXLEY is standing behind Punk and appears totally uninterested in what he is saying, rolling his eyes on occasion …. AS PUNK talks, MOXLEY looks more and more irritated with what PUNK is saying …. It appears he finally snaps, and in the middle of PUNK’s sentence MOXLEY spins him around and drills him with the Paradigm Shift!!!!  The crowd is sitting there stunned, and the look on HEYMAN’s face is priceless …. His hand is over his mouth and he is shocked …. MOXLEY just shrugs and picks up the UWF title laying on the mat and leaves with it ….


VIGNETTE:
We get a vignette for ‘The Machine’ BRIAN CAGE that shows a silhouette of him flexing intercut with shots of WCCW shows last year and him posing in the ring with IWA World Champion HULK HOGAN …. BRIAN CAGE is coming to AEW ….


Handicap Match: KURT ANGLE vs. IVAN KOLOFF & MIRO

RESULTS: Most of this match is ANGLE and MIRO …. IVAN stays on the outside, and only tags himself in when ANGLE is at a disadvantage …. IVAN tags himself in, but ANGLE fires back up and hits the Angle Slam on IVAN!  ANGLE locks on the Ankle Lock, but MIRO is back in to break it up with the Matchka Kick!  IVAN and MIRO double team ANGLE, and MIRO holds ANGLE as IVAN prepares for the Russian Sickle when out at the top of the ramp comes ….



IT’S NIKITA KOLOFF!!!!  Nikita enters the ring and IVAN starts shouting orders to NIKITA!  NIKITA turns and lays MIRO out with the Russian Sickle!!!!  IVAN backs off from NIKITA, RIGHT INTO THE ANGLE SLAM FROM ANGLE!!!!  ANGLE and NIKITA face off, but NIKITA offers his uncle up to ANGLE and leaves the ring!  ANGLE locks on the ankle lock!  IVAN taps!!!!

ANGLE lets go of the ankle lock and continues to stare down NIKITA as NIKITA backs up the ramp … They give each other a nod of respect as ANGLE celebrates ….

CODY RHODES vs. ‘American Dragon’ DANIEL BRYAN

RESULTS: These guys work a solid and basic back and forth match in the beginning that is straight up wrestling …. At first, Cody shows that he can wrestle just as well as BRYAN, which causes BRYAN to ramp up the intensity a little bit and out-wrestle CODY …. CODY goes to work on the shoulder of BRYAN, but BRYAN fires back and has CODY in position for the chest kicks as the crowd chants ‘Yes!  Yes!  Yes!’ with each one …. CODY avoids the buzzsaw kick and hits a divorce court and then goes right back to work on the arm …. CODY has a very old school approach in taking one body part and working the hell out of it …. BRYAN dumps CODY but when CODY tries to skin the cat back into the ring BRYAN hits a basement dropkick to send him to the floor …. Suicide Dive by BRYAN wipes out CODY!  These guys are laying it on the line here and this becomes a contest of ‘Can you top this?’ …. BRYAN has CODY in the ring and he crouches in the corner ready for the Busaiku knee but CODY avoids it and scores with the Disaster Kick!  CODY goes for Cross Rhodes but BRYAN reverses out of it and gets the YES LOCK!  BRYAN’s injured arm prevents him from locking it in fully and he has to let go …. CODY with a low blow outside the view of the ref!  CODY with the Small Package for the 1 … 2 … 3!  CODY steals this one!


IN THE BACK:
The A-LIST are in the back …. MIZ talks about tonight’s main event between THE REVIVAL and HALL & NASH …. MORRISON talks about how they are going to enjoy watching these two teams beat the hell out of each other …. MIZ says it doesn’t matter because they are the best tag team of the 21st century and it doesn’t matter who they face …. BE JEALOUS! ….


THE REVIVAL (Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder) vs. SCOTT HALL & KEVIN NASH

RESULTS:  The lines between heel and face are blurred here as both teams are heel, but the fans cheer more for THE REVIVAL …. During the match, the The A-LIST come out to do guest commentary along with their ‘bouncer’ BRAUN STROWMAN.  They cause distractions for both teams from ringside, then hide behind STROWMAN …. MIZ leaves the announce table and distracts the ref, allowing STROWMAN to freight train NASH with the running shoulder block!  THE REVIVAL hit the Shatter Machine on HALL!  DAWSON has the cover but the ref is still distracted …. This causes DASH & DAWSON to get pissed and they confront MIZ & MORRISON …. Of course MIZ & MORRISON play innocent but HALL is back up and clotheslines DASH to the floor!  HALL goes for the Razor’s Edge, but DAWSON backdrops him over the top and onto MIZ & MORRISON on the floor!  STROWMAN tries to climb in the ring but NASH is back up and attacks STROWMAN!  Big Boot takes out STROWMAN on the floor!  Meanwhile, THE REVIVAL start brawling with MIZ & MORRISON, causing the match to quickly be thrown out ….

POST MATCH:  The brawling continues …. NASH slams STROWMAN into the announce table, THEN HE JACKKNIFE’S STROWMAN THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE!!!!  With STROWMAN out of the picture, NASH stalks MIZ and grabs him by the throat!  Choke Slam!!!!  HALL sets MIZ up for the Razor’s Edge, but the REVIVAL jump HALL & NASH in the ring!  MORRISON reaches in and pulls MIZ to safety, and they quickly escape …. They leave STROWMAN behind and high-tail it to the back as THE REVIVAL and HALL & NASH continue to brawl ….

Thats what Rock and Jericho get for disrespecting HBK

Looks like Moxley is unimpressed by the shortcomings of Punk. Now the question is......does Heyman have something to do with this?
