Shooting Stars Wrestling #235 - 'The 7th Anniversary Show'

LIVE .... FROM THE ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAME IN CLEVELAND, OHIO  .... THIS IS ....


SHOOTING ....
STARS ....WRESTLING!!!! ....


The screen goes blank and we hear the crowd chanting 'S-S-W! S-S-W! S-S-W!' .... The SSW intro video package airs to 'JUNGLE' by X Ambassadors & Jamie N Commons .... The music keeps playing as the camera comes up on the live crowd, pumping their fists and chanting along .... Strobe lights go off all through the arena ....


OPENING PROMO - the show starts with a long promo chronicling SSW's 7 year history .... It shows clips from various points in SSW's history, and all the stars that have been a part of the company at one point or another in the last 7 years ....


The 7th Anniversary show kicks off with SSW owner Dixie Carter in the ring .... She goes through welcoming the all the fans and thanking those that have supported SSW for 7 years .... Because of them SSW has become the longest running promotion in the UWF .... She also mentions the SSW announce team of Mike Goldberg & Joe Rogan, who have been with the company since the episode 1 while also working for the UFC .... Now SSW is the longest running episodic show in wrestling ....

Next, Dixie calls to the ring SSW Television champion Antonio Cesaro, Austin Aries, Dolph Ziggler, and United States women's champion Jessicka Havok .... She also calls out the SHIELD, who make their entrance through the crowd .... Dixie says that these are all the representatives of SSW in the 'Road to Wrestlemania' extravaganza coming up later this month .... They all get a standing ovation from the SSW fans .... Ziggler remains in the ring because he's up first ....


Match 1: singles match
Dolph Ziggler

Tyler Breeze

Ziggler gets a HUGE pop and a big 'WELCOME BACK!' Chant .... Mike and Joe talk about Ziggler's issue with the concussion he suffered in his loss to Austin Aries followed by Breeze making it worse .... Ziggler goes right after Breeze, but Breeze keeps escaping to the ropes or to the outside so Ziggler can't get him .... When the action does start, Ziggler is in control and he hits his signature multiple elbow drops followed by a high jumping elbow drop .... Breeze scores with an enziguri, and from then on out he is in control .... The announcers play up the concussion angle as Breeze unapologetically goes after the head of Ziggler .... Ziggler battles back and scores with the 'Fame-asser' for a 2.99999 count and both men are slow to get up .... Ziggler with a stinger splash in the corner and hammers Breeze with mounted punches, but Breeze counters into a hotshot into the top turnbuckle .... Ziggler misses the zig zag and eats the 'super-model' kick (super kick) from Breeze!  Breeze goes for the 'Beauty Shot' (spinning heel
Kick), but Ziggler dodges and nails a super kick of his own!  Breeze is spun around .... Zig Zag!!!!  Ziggler hooks the leg and gets the 3 count and revenge on Breeze in a great opener!  


IN THE BACK - Paige, Charlotte and Tessa are all in the locker room .... Paige says she is happy Jessicka Havok is getting her little 'moment' at the 'Road to Wrestlemania' because it's all about to come crashing down .... She says Havok will be lucky to make it that far Paige is going to make sure it is WITHOUT the United States women's title!  She tells Tessa and Charlotte to go out to the ring and take care of AJ and Lita ....

Match 2: Battle Queens tag team titles
(Champions) Fortune (Charlotte Flair & Tessa Blanchard)
- vs -
AJ Lee & Lita

These two teams have developed quite a rivalry .... The opening moments are nothing but a brawl as all four ladies are in the ring going at it .... The ref is able to restore some order, which leads to Lita and AJ taking over and working Tessa over on their side of the ring .... Tessa rakes the eyes of AJ and tags Charlotte, who takes her out with a clothesline .... Fortune takes control now and AJ is the face in peril .... AJ battles back and catches Tessa out of nowhere with a shining wizard .... Hot tag to Lita!  Lita takes out everyone, and soon AJ rejoins he fray and we are right back where we started with all four battling in the ring .... Lita and Charlotte battle out onto the apron, where Lita hits a side effect on the ring frame!  Lita up top, but misses the Lita-sault on Tessa!  Tessa tries to finish off AJ, but AJ reverses into the black widow!  Tessa is about to tap out, but Charlotte is back in and catches AJ with the 'natural selection'!  Charlotte makes the cover and Lita can't make the save .... Fortune wins!


Match 3: singles match
Sami Zayne

AJ Styles

AJ is showing off his new cocky attitude as the match begins, and Zayne comes out aggressive because of the fact that AJ laid out Zayne after their match .... We get some chain wrestling to start, and it begins a stalemate before Zayne hits some lightning quick arm drags that force AJ to bail out .... Back in the ring AJ gets a back elbow, then the 2 trade forearms .... Zayne reverses a whip and sends AJ to the corner, but AJ elevates him onto the apron .... Zayne forearms AJ and goes up top, but AJ drop kicks him and causes him to fall on the top rope .... AJ takes over, grounding Zayne with a chin lock .... Zayne battles back, with elbows and breaks the hold then scores with a pop up dropkick!  Zayne up top and hits a BIG high cross-body on AJ for a 2 count!  Zayne on the offensive now, but AJ stops him in his tracks with a pele kick!  AJ goes for the superman forearm but Zayne dropkicks him out of mid-air!!!! 1 ... 2 ... Noooo!  AJ kicks out .... AJ sends Zayne to the corner and Zayne tries to go over the top but AJ catches him and drills a Death Valley driver onto his knee!  Aj hits the 'phenomenon' (lionsault into reverse DDT), but Zayne blocks it and hits the blue thunder bomb!!!!  1 ... 2 ... 2.999999!!!!  Zayne charges AJ in the corner for he helluva kick, but AJ blocks it and rolls Zayne into the calf killer submission!!!!  Zayne is trapped in the middle of the ring!!!!  Zayne refuses to tap!!!!  He crawls .... AND MAKES THE ROPES!  Zayne tries to pull himself up in the corner as AJ moves in .... Zayne manages to grab AJ and hit an exploder into the corner!!!!  Zayne puts AJ on the top rope and is going to go for the BRAINBUSTAAAAAH .... Low blow by AJ!  AJ hooks Zayne .... STYLES CLASH FROM THE 2ND ROPE!!!!  ZAYNE LANDS ON HIS HEAD AND HIS NECK BENDS AT AN AWKWARD ANGLE!!!!  AJ rolls him over and makes the pin!!!!


AJ gets his hand raised in victory, but Zayne is not moving .... The ref throws up the 'X' sign, and it's obvious that Zayne is hurt bad .... AJ shows no remorse, and he kicks Zayne as he leaves the ring .... The crowd showers AJ with boos as he leaves .... The trainers work on Zayne for a long time in the ring, and they eventually stretcher him out .... He gives the 'thumbs up' sign as he is wheeled out ....  





IN THE BACK - we see the Shield in an undisclosed location somewhere in the arena ....



Ambrose - ' .... Ambrose ....'

Seth Rollins - ' ... Rollins ....'

Roman Reigns - ' .... Reigns ....'

Rollins - 'We are the Shield!  And the eye of justice is always watching .... And tonight, it's gaze is set upon you, Beer Money!'

Ambrose - 'You guys and your little male cheerleader Chris Harris have no idea what you've gotten yourselves into tonight ....'

Reigns - 'Ever since the Shield stepped foot in SSW we've handed out the justice that no one else has the balls to hand out ....'

Rollins - 'And now you boys have painted yourself into a corner, and the 'Hounds of Justice' have your scent, and we are closing in ....'

Ambrose - 'The Shield has bigger things on its plate than you boys .... Namely the Wyatt Family .... And after we run through you tonight and take you out of the picture for good, the Road to Wrestlemania begins ....'

Reigns - 'Believe that .... And believe in the Shield!'


Before the tag title match, we get a video package about the SSW tag team championship .... We get highlights of tag teams throughout SSW's 7 year history that have held the belts, including the very 1st champs Deuce & Domino .... We also get various highlights of the Hardy Boyz, Team Domination (WGTT), Beer Money, and the longest reigning SSW tag champions of all time, the American Wolves





Match 4: for the SSW tag team titles
(Champions) The Addiction (Christopher Daniels & Kazarian)
- vs -
The Briscoes (Jay & Mark)

All four men meet in the middle, and the Briscoes are talking mad trash .... Jay spits in Daniels' face, and the fight is on!  All four men are brawling to start, and the action quickly spills outside the ring .... The Addiction end up cornering Mark and follow with some double teaming.  Mark battles back and clotheslines Daniels to the floor and follows with a baseball slide .... Mark occupies the ref while Jay leaves the corner and attacks Daniels on the outside .... The Briscoes isolate Daniels and beat him down with brawling tactics .... Daniels takes a beating, but Daniels battles back and hits a bulldog on Mark while clotheslining Jay at the same time .... Hot tag to Kazarian, who comes in and takes out the Briscoes with clotheslines .... Spin kick to Mark, then a springboard leg drop to Jay .... He rolls up Mark in an oconnor roll, then catches Jay with a northern lights Suplex and has both men pinned at the same time .... Only gets a 2.9999 count!  Kazarian walks into a spinebuster from Jay, but Daniels is back in to break up the in .... All 4 men going at it now .... The Addiction double team Jay, but Mark comes off the ropes with a missile dropkick that takes out BOTH Daniels and Kaz!  Mark with 'Redneck Kung Fu' on Daniels, but he walks right into a Blue Thunder Bomb!  Daniels sets Jay up for the Angels Wings, but Jay stops it with a blatant low blow right in front of the ref!  The ref has no choice but to disqualify the Briscoes!

Just because the match is over, doesn't mean the Briscoes are done .... They continue the attack, and Jay takes Daniels out with the Jay Driller!  They double-team Kazarian, laying him out with the springboard doomsday device!  Both members of the Addiction are laid out, and the Briscoes take the SSW tag title belts and leave with them!


Just like all other title matches, the women's title match gets a video package about the championship itself .... The oldest title in women's wrestling, the US women's title began in Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling where Melina defeated Trish Stratus and Molly Holly to become the very first champion .... Since then the title has been held by a veritable 'who's who' of some of the greatest women's wrestlers in the world .... Included are former world champions Lita, Bull Nakano and Trish Stratus, as well as other greats such as Madison Rayne, Beth Phoenix and Victoria ....





Match 5: for the US Women's title
(Champion) Jessicka Havok
- vs -
Paige

These ladies are ready to tear into each other when 'HARDCORE COUNTRY' hits and out comes Mickey James!  James is here to issue a challenge to the winner for a title shot .... Paige insists that it's gonna be her .... James and Havok get nose to nose, but this allows Paige to attack from behind!  

Paige goes right for the knee that she hurt before, but Havok lets her know real quick that her knee is just fine .... Havok punishes Paige with power moves early on, but Paige avoids a big boot from Havok and hits the 'Paige Turner', dropping Havok right on the back of her head!  Havok battles back, but Paige ducks a lariat and nails Havok with a super kick for a close 2 count!  Paige goes for the 'Ram-Paige' (cradle DDT), but Havok counters with rapid-fire headbutts!  Havok scoops her up for the Air Raid Crash, but Paige slips off the back ... Havok missss a yakuza kick and wipes out the ref (women's matches have female referees)!!!!  Paige goes outside and grabs the US women's title from ringside and is going to hit Havok with it .... GOOZLE!  Choke slam
By Havok!!!!  Havok covers ... 1 ... 2 ... Nooooo!  The ref is pulled to the outside by Charlotte and Tessa!  Four-tune hits the ring and puts the boots to Havok .... When ....

'THE DOPE SHOW' by Marilyn Manson hits and out comes Allysin Kaye!!!!  Allysin Kaye is back!!!!  Paige is happy, because Kaye and Havok hate each other .... But Kaye turns and attacks Paige and Four-tune!!!!  Wtf????  Kaye fights off Tessa and Charlotte!!!!  In the ring, Paige grabs the Women's title again, but turns and gets scooped up by Havok .... AIR RAID CRASH!!!!  Havok hooks the leg and gets the 3 count!!!!  Havok has retained the women's title!!!!


Paige and Four-tune head for higher ground after the match while Havok and Kaye, once bitter enemies, are left in the ring in an intense standoff ....      





IN THE BACK - Austin Aries cuts a promo .... He is not a happy man, because he is not on the card tonight .... He says he has been the MVP for this company for a year now, and Dixie is dropping the ball with him .... He says neither Sheamus nor Cesaro can lace his boots, and he's coming for the SSW title ....


Match 6: 6 man tag team match (losers cannot team together again in SSW)
The Shield (Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose)
- vs -
Beer Money (James Storm & Bobby Roode) & 'Wildcat' Chris Harris

The Shield enter through the crowd, but then Beer Money and Chris Harris make their way out through the crowd as well, mocking the Shield!  They stop in the crowd and invite the Shield to come and get them, which the Shield are happy to oblige!  They go up into the crowd and the fight begins!!!!  The battle rages through the crowd for minutes, before finally making it's way back to the ring .... Ambrose and Rollins wow the crowd with stereo suicide dives to the outside on Beer Money .... In the ring, Reigns controls Harris and hits a Samoan drop .... Roode in to break it up, but Rollins back in with a springboard high knee to the head .... Storm on the ring apron but Rollins knocks him off with an enziguri .... Rollins walks right into a big Double R spinebuster from Roode!  Beer Money and Harris take over, with Harris trying to draw Ambrose and Reigns into the ring to distract the ref while Roode and Storm work Rollins over ....

Rollins battles back and catches Harris with an enzuigiri, and that finally gives him enough time to tag Ambrose.  Ambrose hits the ring like a crazy man and knocks Roode and Storm off the apron and then beats down Harris .... Figure four!!!!  Roode and Storm are back in for the save, but Reigns is in and clears the ring .... Roode pulls Reigns outside, but Reigns tosses him into the steps .... Reigns misses a spear on Roode outside and crashes into the barricade, and Chris Harris pulls out a pair of handcuffs and handcuffs Reigns to the barricade!!!!  It's now 3 on 2 in the ring as Ambrose is getting worked on by Storm .... Ambrose takes a shot from Storm but rebounds between the ropes and takes him out with a lariat!  Ambrose goes for the tag but Rollins is down too .... Outside the ring, REIGNS BREAKS FREE OF THE HANDCUFFS .... He gets the tag from Ambrose and CLEANS HOUSE!  Superman punch to Storm takes him out .... Samoan drop to Roode and then another superman punch to Harris .... All 3 members of the Shield are up .... TRIPLE POWERBOMB TO HARRIS!!!!  1 ... 2 ... Nooooo!  Roode pulls out the ref!!!!  ROLLINS DIVES OVER THE TOP ONTO ROODE!!!!  In the ring, Reigns sets up for the spear on Harris .... He charges .... STORM CUTS HIM OFF WITH THE SUPERKICK!!!!  Ambrose is back up, but Harris spears him!  Storm and Harris set Ambrose up for the 'Death Sentence', but Rollins flies in with the springboard knee to the head of Storm!  Reigns is back up .... SUPERMAN PUNCH TO HARRIS KNOCKS HIM OFF THE TOP ROPE!!!!  Ambrose grabs Storm .... DIRTY DEEDS!!!!  1 ... 2 ... Roode tries to come in but Reigns spears him out of his boots! ... 3!!!!  The Shield have done it!!!!

The Shield strike their signature pose as Beer Money are left to pick up the pieces, and are now unable to team again as long as they are in SSW!  





Video package showing the history of both the SSW Genesis and Television titles precedes the main event .... We see glimpses of Owen Harts year-long SSW title reign, still the longest in company history .... CM Punk returning to SSW and winning the title from Jeff Hardy .... AJ Styles conquering former UFC champion Brock Lesnar to win the title .... Chris Jericho beating CM Punk to become the first man to hold both the SSW title and the TV title .... Sheamus holding the TV title for over 18 months .... Cody Rhodes losing the TV title, then winning the SSW title in the same night ....

Main Event: title vs title match
(SSW Genesis champion) Sheamus w/ William Regal
- vs -
(SSW Television champion) Antonio Cesaro

Lots of speculation about Sheamus' future after his recent work visa issues ... Crowd is 100% behind Cesaro here .... This match is super-stiff, and both men exchange some back and forth wrestling holds and match power early on ....  Sheamus hits a scoop slam on Cesaro, but misses an elbow drop .... Cesaro shows his power by grabbing Sheamus off the mat and dead-lifting him into a gutwrench Suplex!  Sheamus reaponds with a knee lift and then a rolling senton .... Sheamus ties Cesaro up in the ropes and hammers him with his patented 'Beats of Bodrhan' clubbing blows to the chest .... Sheamus goes for the slingshot shoulder block but Cesaro cuts him off in mid-air with a European uppercut!  Sheamus is sent tumbling out of the ring, but Cesaro drags Sheamus to the corner and dead-lift superplexes him from the apron  to the top rope and back into the ring!!!!  Sheamus counters with an Irish Curse backbreaker out of nowhere for a two count!  Sheamus charges Cesaro in the corner but eats a boot, then Cesaro wipes him out with a diving European uppercut out of the corner!!!!  1 ... 2 ... Noooo!!!!  Cesaro goes for the Neutralizer, but Sheamus reverses out of it into the White Noise!!!!  1 ... 2 ... Noooo!  Cesaro kicks out!!!!  Now they trade shots in the center of the ring, but Sheamus gets the better of it .... He comes off the ropes .... CESARO TOSSES HIM UP AND HITS 'SWISS DEATH' (pop up European uppercut)!!!!  1 ... 2 ... 2.999999!!!!  Neutralizer attempt again, but this time Sheamus counters into the Irish Cloverleaf!  Cesaro fights and finally makes it to the ropes to break, but the damage has been done .... Sheamus pounds his chest in preparation for the Brogue Kick .... Cesaro counters and takes the legs out! .... CESARO SWING!!!! The fans are on their feet!!!!  1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21!!!!  Cover .... SHEAMUS KICKS OUT AT 1!!!!  Sheamus spits in Cesaro's face!  Brogue kick misses .... Tornado European uppercut nearly takes Sheamus' head off!!!!  Cesaro hooks the arms .... RICCOLA BOMB!!!! 1 ... 2 ... SHEAMUS KICKS OUT AGAIN!!!!  Cesaro immediately pulls the woozy Sheamus to his feet .... NEUTRALIZER!!!!  1 ... 2 ... 3!!!!


Both men lay on the mat in exhaustion as the fans give them a standing ovation .... Trainers slide in the ring and are spraying both men with cold spray to numb their bodies from the beating they just took and putting ice packs on the back of their necks .... Finally both men are able to stand, and they meet in the middle of the ring .... They shake hands, and even share an embrace as Sheamus raises Cesaro's hand in victory .... The crowd chants 'THANK YOU SHEAMUS!', but Sheamus leaves the ring and points to Cesaro .... The fans chant 'CE-SA-RO!  CE-SA-RO!' As he holds up the SSW belt in victory ....
