THE WEST REGIONAL – ROUND 2
Live from the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada

The show opens with a shot of the IWL announce team. Behind Michale Cole & Hugo Savinovich we can see the arena with the house lights up. Ushers are helping the fans find their seats as Cole & Hugo welcome us to the show. Cole says that it's great to be back on TV and Hugo talks about the importance of this event to the UWF, but specifically to the IWL. He says that being picked by the UWF Board of Governors to be a host site in this tournament gave us the leverage to negotiate a new TV deal.

Cole: "And fans, Main Event Sports returns to MyNetwork TV on December 22nd with a 'Best of 2009' show. Go to IWL.com for more details. And while you're there, be sure to check for the latest info on IWL Live events, including a New Year's Day show in Tucson."

While Cole & Hugo are talking, we get more shots of the arena. The box office is shown with a large "SOLD OUT" sign as some non-ticket holding fans hold fingers into the air, hoping to get inside for this historic event. The cameras take us back inside the International Hotel & Casino where we see wrestling fans talking and playing slot machines. The shot lingers on a fan in a CM Punk shirt talking with a fan in a Jushin Liger shirt. Cole & Hugo talk about the blockbuster matches that the tournament has already created. The cameras pan the arena again and we can see that the seats are filling up quickly.

Cole: "Fans, don't go away. We're just moments away from the beginning of a night of great UWF action."

COMMERCIAL BREAK

We come back with a video package set to the Main Event Sports theme song, High On Fire's "Rumors of War." Instead of IWL highlights, the video recaps the King of the Ring West Regional 1st Round matches. Curt Hennig pins Bob Armstrong with a Perfect Plex, Matt Morgan hits the Hell-evator to beat Brayden Walker, Samoa Joe chokes out Adrian Adonis with the Coquina Clutch to advance, Raven scores with an Evenflow DDT for the win over Rhino, and we get several clips from the war between Bruiser Brody and "Dr. Death" Steve Williams, ending with a high knee smash from Brody and a 3-count.

After the video we cut to the ringside announce position where Cole & Hugo welcome us to the 2nd Round of the King of the Ring. Cole puts over that tonight four men will take one step closer to the Main Event at WrestleMania. Hugo talks about the tournament so far and mentions that the IWL went 4-0 in the First Round. Cole says that only 1 of those 4 is in the West Region, then Hugo talks about Jushin Liger and his match with CM Punk tonight. They briefly run through the other KOTR matches tonight, then Cole says that one of the great things about hosting this event is the spotlight that it shines on the IWL.

Hugo: "That's right, Michael. In fact, we're kicking things off tonight with two IWL matches. Our first match will feature two of the top Six Man teams in the world, as La Parka's New Latino Nightmare takes on Jillian Hall Productions. These teams have both been ranked for..."

Cole: "Partner, I hate to cut you off but we need to send it up to the ring where Mariah Carey has already begun tonight's announcements."

Mariah: "...and all matches are sanctioned by the Universal Wrestling Federation, Paul Bosch presiding. Our first contest will be contested under lucha del trios rules. In the corner to my right Jillian Hall presents the team of Mark Henry, Jay Lethal and Shiima Xion - JILLIAN HALL PRODUCTIONS! Their opponents are former UWF World Six Man Champions. Under the tutelage of La Parka, please welcome Mistico, Psichosis, and Juventud Guerrera - La Nueva Pesadilla Latino - THE NEW LATINO NIGHTMARE!"

First Match: The New Latino Nightmare v Jillian Hall Productions

Lethal and Juvi start the match with a chain wrestling exchange that neither man can gain an advantage from. Cole & Hugo put over that, while these teams have both been considered among the best Six Man teams in the World, they have rarely faced each other. Jillian's guys don't seem to understand the lucha del trios format and the Latino's are taking advantage, rolling out of the ring instead of tagging to keep JHP confused. Jillian argues with the referee while Lethal is trapped in the ring for a long time. Jay finally tags in Shiima, but Mistico catches him with a drop toe hold and the Nightmare retains control of the match as we head to

COMMERCIAL BREAK

As we come back from break, Cole & Hugo explain that Mark Henry has taken over the match during the commercial. The Latinos are still working in and out of the match, but they can't seem to get much offense in against the World's Strongest Man. Finally La Parka distracts the referee while Mistico & Psichosis hit a double dropkick that sends Henry out of the ring. Mistico lines up Mark for a tope suicida, but Henry catches him. Mark laughs and lifts Mistico up for the World's Strongest Slam on the floor, but Psichosis hits a springboard plancha that takes Henry to the cement with Mistico and Pshichosis on top of him. Back in the ring, Juvi and Lethal are going toe to toe. Guerrera gains the advantage and pulls Lethal in for a Juvi Driver that gets a 2 count. Juventud goes up top for a 450 splash, but Lethal rolls out of the ring and El Jugo crashes to the mat. Shiima comes in as the legal man and takes Juvi down with a Filipino Destroyer (reverse snapmare driver) and gets the pinfall!

COMMERCIAL BREAK

We come back from the break with a shot of Curt Hennig getting ready for his match with Matt Morgan. Cole & Hugo talk about how Hennig seems to be the guy that nobody is talking about. Hugo says that makes Hennig especially dangerous because his sources tell him that Curt secretly relishes the underdog role. Cole throws it to the ring where Mariah makes the usual introductions for our next match.

Second Match UWF World Women's Champion Trish Stratus v Ashley Masarro (Non-Title)

Before the match can begin, Ashley rolls to the outside and confronts a ringside fan that is holding a sign that reads "Ashley Worked My Bachelor Party." She seems to be telling him off but the cameras catch her slipping a business card to the fan before turning her attention back to the ring. Trish has been watching and laughing in the ring, and Ashley acts insulted that Trish is laughing at her. Masarro slaps the ring apron, then points at Trish and says something about making her pay. The Women's Champion just laughs and says "I hear that's what you tell all the guys", then sits on the middle rope to invite Ashley back into the ring. Masarro declines, then yells at the referee to make Trish back off so she can enter the ring without Trish cheap-shotting her. Stratus rolls her eyes and shakes her head as she backs away and Ashley slides under the ropes. Masarro tests the ropes, then rolls her shoulders to get ready to grapple. Ashley goes for a collar and elbow but has her left arm too low. Trish spots the opening and hits a Chick Kick that nearly takes Ashley's head off. Masarro crashes to the mat face first and lays motionless while the referee backs Trish away, then calls for the bell giving Stratus the KO victory.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

A video promotes a special IWL show on New Year's Day. The show will take place at the Dillinger Hall in Tucson with a bell time of 1pm. More details will be announced soon. Tickets go on sale Monday, December 14 at IWL.com and the Pima County Fair Grounds Box office.

Third Match King of the Ring 2nd Round (3) Raven (RWA) vs. (6) Cactus Jack (XWA)

Jack stands looking at Raven, who sits slumped in the corner. Raven signals for a mic.

Raven- For far too long, my destiny has been denied. People and politics stood in my way. When I was a child, my parents constantly told me I would never amount to anything. Cast aside as the black sheep, family life continued without me. But I proved them all wrong. Now here I am, a former world champion. A goal long over due, the time once again has arrived. Not long ago, I set my sights on that goal. But something stopped me. A friend in need. A man such as I has but only a few friends. And when they are in need, I am there. You see, a darkness had risen. It was a darkness the wrestling world had never seen. A plague had washed over a once powerful wrestling alliance, shaking its very foundations and bringing it to its knees and ultimately, playing a major role in its end. To fight this darkness, one must understand the darkness. Cactus Jack, it was you that sought my help. And I put my goals aside to help you to end that which cast its dark shadow over the wrestling world. Now, my quest begins anew. Last week, Rhino became the first casualty. This week....Jack. Tw men have entered this ring. Only one will emerge victorious. We are warriors cut from the same cloth. And if we are to do this right, it will be done our way. I propose we contest this match under Raven's Rules....no disqualification.’

Raven pulls himself up and throws the mic to Jack.

Jack- You have a deal. BANG BANG!!!!

Jack throws the mic at Raven and it nails him in the face. Raven staggers back and Jack presses a vicious attack. Jack kicks Raven low and drops some heavy blows to the head. Jack rains punches down on Raven, causing him to slump in the corner. Jack backs up and hits a running knee to Ravens face. Jack goes for a quick pin but Raven is out at one. Raven is now bleeding from his nose. Jack removes some tape from his wrist and begins choking Raven from behind and headbutting him as he chokes. Jack body slams Raven and drops a series of elbows. Jack gets a two count on Raven. Jack gets a chair and smacks Raven with it,knocking him out of the ring. Jack follows Raven by dropping an elbow from the apron. Jack whips Raven into the steps but Raven reverses it. He follows up with a punch that knocks Jack back several feet and flat on his back. Raven takes a chair from a fan and hits Jack across the head, busting him open as well. Raven slams Jack into the time keepers table several times, causing people to scatter. Raven throws Jack back into the ring. While the ref checks Jack's head, Raven wipes the blood from his face, then returns to the ring. Jack is waiting with a knee as Raven climbs back in. He rakes Raven's eyes and power bombs him onto a chair. Jack drops a few elbows then takes a few steps back and drops a knee straight onto Raven's groin, causing every man in the crowd to wince. Jack looks at the camera and says "Ooops, I slipped. BANG BANG!" Jack goes for a pin but Raven gets a shoulder up. Jack goes for another elbow but Raven moves. Raven looks around and grabs the chair. He draws back and blasts Jack hard across the skull. Raven returns the favor of the earlier low blow with one of his own. He sets the chair up, sends Jack into the ropes, and hits a drop toe hold, sending Jack face first into the chair. Jack rolls around on the mat, howling in pain. Raven picks Jack up and sets for the Evenflow. Jack backdrops Raven and goes for a Double Arm DDT. Raven spins the hold and manages to pick Jack up, then drops him with a Vertebreaker!!! Raven covers, but Jack miraculously kicks out at two! Raven waits for Jack to start getting up. Raven helps him the rest of the way up, only to plant him with a n Evenflow for the three count.

Fourth Match King of the Ring 2nd Round (4) Bruiser Brody vs. (5) Samoa Joe

Joe and Brody meet in the center of the ring as the bell rings, and they stare each other down.  They lock up, and Joe backs Brody into the ropes and hammers him with some chops.  Brody absorbs the blows and fires back with some big right hands on Joe, then whips him into a big back elbow.  Joe gets up and pulls off his elbow pad and then pulls his knee pads down and dares Brody to come in.  Brody is more than happy to oblige as he locks up with Joe again and Joe nails him with an open hand slap to the face!  Joe follows it up with more open hand strikes and takes Brody to a knee with a spinning back-fist!  Joe snapmares Brody and hits a hard kick to the back, then one to the chest and a big knee drop on Brody!  Brody fires back with some rights and chops of his own, then hits a clothesline that knocks Joe through the ropes.  Brody follows Joe out, but Joe turns the tables and whips Brody into the ring steps.  Joe sets Brody in a chair at ringside, then blasts him in the face with the ‘Ole Ole’ kick!  Brody reverses a whip that sends Joe into the railing this time, then he tosses him back in.  Brody slams Joe, then drops a big knee right on his chest.  Big vertical suplex by Brody, but it only gets a 2 count.  Brody locks in a Dragon Sleeper on Joe, who struggles but gets to the ropes.  Brody keeps up the pressure, hammering Joe with huge blows to the back, but Joe catches Brody with a reverse atomic drop and then explodes with a sick-looking penalty kick to the head!  Both men are down, but Joe gets up and delivers some kawada kicks to the head of Brody.  Joe hits a power bomb and then turns it over into a shin hook Boston Crab but Brody fights out.  Big Boot by Brody staggers Joe, then he this a sidewalk slam.  Brody goes to the 2nd rope, but Joe cuts him off with the CCS enziguri!  Joe hooks Brody . . . Muscle bustaaaaaah!  1 . . . 2 . . . NOOOOO!  Brody kicks out!!!!  Joe goes right for the rear naked choke, and Brody is fading!  Brody summons his last bit of strength to stand with Joe on his back, and he actually CLIMBS to the 2nd turnbuckle with Joe still having the choke locked in.  BRODY THROWS HIMSELF BACKWARD OFF TE TURNBUCKLE WITH JOE UNDERNEATH HIM!!!!  All the win is driven out of Joe, and he is hurt bad.  Brody barely pulls himself up, then kicks Joe right in the head with a sick looking soccer kick!!!!  Joe crumbles to the mat, knocked out!  Brody is down too, but the ref checks on Joe and he is not responding!  He calls for the bell, citing the fact that Joe cannot continue any longer!  Brody will advance.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

Cole & Hugo welcome us back from the break. Hugo talks about the brutal match we just witnessed between Joe and Brody, when out of nowhere, The American Warriors arrive at the announce position. Cole says they aren't on his format sheet and asks what they're doing out here.

Karl Anderson: "What we're doing is exercising our 1st Amendment right to Free Speech, you little twerp. You see, the American Warriors are sick of sitting in the background. This is one of the biggest nights in IWL history, and who does the Board of Directors put on the show? Not me and Big Jim here, but a bunch of Mexicans, Jillian Hall's freak show, and some low rent stripper. Tell 'em about it, Jim."

Jim Hellwig: "AND THE PROPHET SAID 'BEHOLD! FOR THE DAY OF RECKONING IS FAST AT HAND. ALL THAT HAS BEEN FORETOLD SHALL SPAWN UNTO ITSELF AND THE HERETICS SHALL FALL AT THE FEET OF THE MIGHTY!' WHILE THOSE IN AUTHORITY SEEK TO SILENCE THOSE THAT ARE JUST, AND INSTEAD PROMOTE THE TYPE OF TRASH THAT HAS BANKRUPTED PROPER MORALITY, THE WARRIORS ARE ONLY GETTING STRONGER! NO LONGER WILL WE SIT BACK AND ALLOW THIS INJUSTICE TO CONTINUE!" Anderson pretends that he's going to take a swing at Cole, causing Micheal to fall down trying to get away. Karl just laughs, then he and Hellwig take their leave. Hugo helps Cole back to his feet, then they throw it to the ring where Mariah makes the introductions for our next match.

Fifth Match:  (1) Curt Hennig (WLW) vs. (Cool Matt Morgan (GWF)

Morgan shows his obvious power advantage right from the start in this one, shoving Hennig to the ground out of the lockup.  Hennig appears frustrated, then intimidated by Morgan and he bails out of the ring on several occasions to get away from him.  Morgan lures Hennig into a test of strength, which obvious favors the taller Morgan, and he takes him to his knees.  Morgan whips Hennig off the ropes and presses him above his head, walking around the ring for a few seconds before slamming him to the mat.  Hennig rolls back in the ring and thumbs Morgan in the eye, then hits some big chops in the corner.  Hennig whips Morgan off and executes a great dropkick right to the chin of Morgan.  Hennig locks in a rear chinlock, but Morgan fights to his feet and hits a big back suplex on Hennig!  Both men back to their feet and Morgan pummels Hennig in the corner, but Hennig hits a dropkick to the knee on Morgan to chop him down, then hits a rolling neck snap.  Hennig goes for the Perfect Plex, but Morgan powers out of it and hits a desperation choke slam!  Both men are down.  Hennig is up first and he goes to the top rope, but Morgan catches him on the way down and hits a power slam.  Morgan clotheslines Hennig to the floor, then tries to walk out the limp in his knee.  He pulls Hennig in and goes for the Carbon Footprint, but Hennig dodges and Morgan gets hung up on the top rope.  Hennig rolls Morgan up from behind, but only gets a 2 count.  Hennig hits the Perfect Plex, but can’t keep the long legs of Morgan locked and he kicks out!  Hennig charges Morgan in the corner but gets met by a big boot, then a big clothesline.  Morgan goes for the ‘Hell-a-vator’, but Hennig’s legs take out the ref as Morgan picks him up.  Hennig clips the knee and goes for the figure four, but Morgan kicks him off right into the turnbuckle!  Morgan takes Hennig and locks him in the figure four now!!!!  Hennig is tapping, but there is no ref.  Out of the back runs Randy Orton, and he tosses something in the ring to Hennig.  Morgan breaks the hold and goes after Orton, but Hennig has the object and he nails Morgan in the back of the head with it!!!!  Perfect Plex.  Orton pulls up the ref, who counts the 1 . . . 2 . . . 3!

BUT PUNK ROLLS OUT OF THE WAY!!!!  Punk rolls over and locks Liger in the Anaconda Vice!!!!  Liger fades, but the fans urge him on and he finally makes it to the ropes.  Punk goes for the GTS one more time, but this time Liger counters into a roll up . . . 1 . . . 2 . . . NOOOOO!  Punk barely kicks out.  ‘THIS IS AWESOME!’ chants are breaking out in the crowd as now Punk and Liger stand toe to toe in the ring.  Liger wins the battle, and he sets Punk up for the Liger bomb.  However, Punk reverses it at the last second and hits a huricanrana on Liger, sending him face-first into the turnbuckle!  Liger pops up and turns, only to get blasted by a vicious roundhouse kick from Punk!  Punk seizes the opportunity, scooping Liger up on his shoulders . . . GO TO SLEEP!!!!  Punk hooks the leg for the 1 . . . 2 . . . 3!!!!

Both men lay there exhausted as the fans give them a standing ovation.  Liger raises Punk’s hand, and once again the men bow in respect.  The camera shows the ramp, where we see that Raven has come out to watch the match.  Punk and Raven lock eyes, and Cole says it will now be Punk and Raven in the Sweet 16.
