Midsouth Junior Heavyweight Title Rey Mysterio vs Art Barr : Exciting junior action . Fuller opens the ropes when Rey goes for tyr 619 . Rey falls out if the ring . Hits his head . Barr rolls him back in and hits the WORLDS BEST FROG SPLASH ( WBFG ) !!! Barr becomes the new Midsouth Junior Heavyweight Champion.
Midsouth Tag Team Champions: The Andersons vs The Wild Samoans : The Andersons work Afa’s leg . Gary Hart is is the deciding factor distracting the ref several times in the match every time the Anderson’s would set up for a submission attempt . In the end Sika hits a Samoan Drop on Arn for the 3 ! The Samoans are the new Midsouth Tag Team Champions.
HBO Television Championship Magnum TA vs Nick Bockwinkle : Hart seems irritated with Magnum after his loss to Piper . They can’t get on the same page . Bockwinkle takes advantage and works over the back of Magnum’s neck . When Bockwinkle goes for the sleeper , Magnum falls into the ropes clotheslining Bockwinkle. From there it’s the Belly to Belly for 3 . Magnum celebrates the victory , the crowd gives mixed reactions. Hart just walks off .
Midsouth Heavyweight Championship: JYD vs Harley Race : This gets downright brutal . Both men bloody one another . It ends in a double count out and a post match fight all over Tiger Stadium .
Interview with World Heavyweight Champion Kerry Von Erich . He talks about looking forward to the rest of the tour . Looks forward to maybe a rematch with Luger . He talks about his recent match with Nikita and hints to Nikita that Jimmy Hart might be holding him back . It was Hart’s who made the mistake . He says he wants to wrestle Nikita again , this time without Hart . He wants to see what kind of man the Russian Nightmare truly is . He goes on to say Andre doesn’t intimidate him . Tommy Rich and the Freebirds come out and drop a challenge . Rich says any of the Birds can beat Kerry . Kerry challenges Gordy . Rich says not tonight . The Birds take their leave .
NWA World Super Junior Heavyweight Championship Will Osprey vs Mike Von Erich : Mike surprises Osprey . Gets him in the claw and has him down to one knee . The ref out of position doesn’t see the low blow by the champion . Osprey then uses a sunset flip to secure the 3 .
NWA World Tag Team Championship The British Bulldogs vs David and Kevin : Good back and forth Tag Team action. Kevin and David keep Dynamite in their corner and work his left arm . It takes a toll on Dynamite he can’t hit his Suplexes . Dynamite does use his speed and agility . Off a front dropkick , he shoulder rolls and tags in Davey . Davey with a Powerslam on Kevin . He tags back off to Dynamite. Flying Headbutt !! Dynamite covers as Davey holds off David . 1……..2……..3 !!!!
Steel Cage Boot Camp Match Sgt . Slaughter vs Iron Sheik : Sarge comes dressed for battle . Sheik carries in an Indian Club and swings at Sarge like he’s Arron Judge . Sarge ducks and the club goes flying . Sarge whips Sheik into the cage and then rubs his combat boot over the wound . Sheik is busted open . Sheik with a low blow on Sarge abd rakes his face over the cage and now Sarge is busted open . Sheik puts on the Camel Clutch !!! Sarge fights to his feet and falls backward into the cage . Sheik hits his head hard against one of the enforced pipes . He’s delirious. Sarge puts on the Cobra Clutch and Sheik passes out !!! Sheik now has to leave Midsouth !!!
Jim Ross signs off and says Midsouth returns to HBO and Max on Aug . 3 for its full time slot .
