1st Match; KURT ANGLE vs TONY ATLAS!
BADNEWS BROWN surprisingly doesn't accompany ATLAS but he is most likely getting prpared for his World TV Title match later against JIMMY SNUKA!
At first ANGLE avoids locking up as he knows he can't match TONY'S strength!
ANGLE uses his wtrestling prowess to avoid TONY for a bit but eventually TONY catches him and starts to toss ANGLE around the ring!
Its basically TONY using his power moves to hamper any offense by KURT !
ATLAS eventually catches KURT in a vise like bear hug that KURT fights for several moments!
KURT finally uses a good ol fashion eye rake to break the hold and as a blinded ATLAS tries to vclear his eyesight.KURT picks up the big man and hits the Angle Slam which stuns TONY enough to allow KURT to get a very popular pin to open up the shiow!
2nd Match: DR.D DAVID SHULTZ vs KEVIN VON ERICH
Talk about a clash of styles here!
SHULTZ tries to bully his way thru KEVIN but VON ERICH has just as quick a temper and surprises DOC by banging with him!
KEVIN clamps on a standing body scissor on SHULTZ and squeezes THE LIFE OUTTA HIM AND WHEN IT LOOKS LIKE IT'S OVER,dick slater RUNS IN TO BREAK IT UP BUT IN DOING SO HE GETS THE GOOD DOCTOR DISQUALIFIED!
The two heels start a beatdown on these two until STONE COLD runs in and helps KEVIN rid the ring of them!
KEVIN gors to offer his hand to AUSTIN who just smiles.flips KEVIN the bird and leaves the ring!
3rd Match: Our first world title match is up next as NWA World Television Champion-JIMMY SNUKA defends against BADNEWS BROWN!
BROWN is accompanied by TONY ATLAS
BROWN starts off strong her as he uses his judo knowledge to keep the SUPERFLY grounded fow several minutes!
ATLAS does his part with some timely distractions and interference!
SNUKA eventually reverses a whip into the corner and as BNB comes out,he is hit with a huge back body drop followed by a diving headbutt!
ATLAS is attempting to enter the ring but SNUKA kicks him off the apron to the floor,bounces off the opposite ropes and hits a suicide dive to the outside and lays ATLAS out as the ncowd goes nuts!
JIMMY is hit with some vicious knees as he renters the ring and BNB whips SNUKA into the rope and readies for a backdrop of his own, however SNUKA leapfrogs ober him and rebound off the ropes and hits a flying double chop to BROWN'S head ,stunning him!
SNUKA climbs to the top turnbuckle and hits the SUPERFLY Splash and gets the three count and defends his title as the crowd cheers!
4th Match: SID VICIOUS vs VADER
SID attacks VADER before the bell and is definitely trying to hurt the masked man!
SID and VADER exchxnge some japan-like blows here as they both are beating the hell outta each other and unfortunately the action spills to the outside where the ref counts both men out ending the match in a dcor!
5th Match: our first tag team match of the night takes palce as NWA World Tag Team Champions-The FABULOUS FREEBIRDS face The PABULOUS ONES
LANE and HAYES start thing off and both men have their moments but HAYES gets the advantage here and soon LANE is trapped in the champ,s corner and quick tags and some timely double teaming has LANE in dire straits!
Everytime KEIRN tries to help his partner or get a hot taj from STAN, the BIRDS distract the ref who fails to see the legal tag and forces KEIRN back to his own corner!
LANE finally kicks GORDY in the face as TERRY attempts a back body drop and LANE makes the hot tag as a fired up crowd and KEIRN go nuts!
KEIRN goes ballistic on GORDY and even lays in a shot on HAYES that knocks him from the apron!
A quick tag to LANE and he starts using some karate kicks to stun TERRY but when he throws TERRY into the ropes and goes to hit him with a clothesline,JAYES grabs his foot as he hits the ropes and LANE hits the ground!
GORDY comes from the coner with a big elbow drop on the stunned LANE then picks him up and hits a devastating piledriver!
ASGORDY covers,HAYES runs across the ring and stops KEIR from making the save and GORDY gets a very unpopulaf three count and the FREEBIRDS retain their world title!
6th Match: STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN vs DICK SLATER
SCSA is STILL fired up from his interaction earlier and opens several cans of whoop ass on SLATER!
SLATER has a few moments in this one but STONE COLD is locked in and on a mission!
After coming off the ropes and hitting a thez press ,he whips SLATER into the corner and commences into stomping a mud hole in him!
A double bird follwed by a stunner is all she wrote as AUSTIN geys the pin and tosses SLATER from the ring and then climbs to the cornr turnbuckle and raises his arms in victory as the crowd pops big!
7th Match: The GANSTAS vs THE DEVIL'S DUO w/ LOU ALBANO
YES...These 4 men tear into each other from the outset!
In the ring...out on the floor..it doesnt matter!
Even LOU gets in a few receipts here!
They may as not have even have rang the bell here as the poor ref has absolutley no control here and after several brutal minutes if intense fighting.the ref finally has no choice but to dq both teams!
Post match as the DUO is arguing with the ref,,they are attacked from behind and are layed out by blackjacks!
ALBANO even tries to help his men but gets layed out as well!
Emts and security have to help the DUO to the back!
8th Match: CCW TV Champ- RODDY PIPER takes on GINO HERNANDEZ in a non title match up!
HERNANDEZ and PIPER meet nose to nose in the center of the ring and the jaw jacking starts!
PIPER tries a sucker punch but it's blocked and GINO responds in kiND!
GINO tears into RODDY and has the scotsman flustered and PIPER leaves the ring and starts heading to the back!
GINO isnt having any of this and chases him down,lands a few punches and grabs PIPER by the hair and returns is cowardly ass to the ring!
Un fortunatel GINO leaves himself open to a brutal attack as he reenters the ring and RODDY takes this lapse of judgement to his advantage for the next several minutes!
At this point DAVID SHULTZ and DICK SLATER come down to ringside as they cheer on PIPER!
Every time GINO makes a comeback, SHULTZ or SLATER distract him or interefer thus allowing PIPER to regain control!
The crowd then cheers as THE FABULOUS ONES come to ringside and start brawling with PIPER'S goons at ringside!
This time it is PIPER who is distracted by waht's happening on the arena floor and GINO uses this moment to grab PIPER from behind and with a little help from a pull of the tights, HERNANDEZ gets the pin on PIPER!
9th Match: NATIONAL Heavyweight Champion:MACHO MAN RANDY SAVAGE vs RAZOR RAMON
RAMON starts out giving MACHO the bad mouth and tosses the toothpick in SAVAGE'S face!
Bad move as SAVAGE slaps the grease outta RAMON's hair! And the fight is on!
RANDY spends several minutes taking RAZOR from pillar to post and even hitting him with a double axe handle from the apron onto the floor!
RAMON barely beats the ten count and SAVAGE continues the onslaught!
RAZOR ends up reversing a whip and slamming RANDY chest first into the turnbuckles!
Stomps and punches are used to further weaken SAVAGE and then RAMON hits a pump handle slam which SAVAGE barely kicks out of!
RAZOR goes for the Razor's Edge but SVAGE shakes himsel free and slips out the back!
RAZOR turns andn is met bu=y a flurry of punches and then hots adouble axe handle from the top turnbuckle to lay out RAMON!
SAVAGE then climbs to the top turnbuckle and signals to the cheering crowd and hits the devastating top rop elbow and gets the pin to successfully defend his National title!
10th Match:NWA World Super Junior Title Match
CHRIS JERICHO (C) w/ JESSE VENTURA vs JERRY THE KING LAWLER
LALWER just seems a bit off tonight here as he seems just a step slow at every turn!
It also doesnt help that he gets tossed to the outside wher VENTURA works him over!
JERICHO is on his A game and eventually gets LAWLER in the walls of jericho and LAWLER fights as long as he can before submitting!
JERICHO grans the housemic and calls out BRYAN DANIELSON and asks him :" NOW WHO'S THE REAL BEST IN THE WORLD,JUNIOR?"
11TtH mATCH: main event
CCW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH
THE RUSSIAN NIGHTMARE-NIKITA KOLOFF w/JIMMY HART vs STING
STING matches NIKITA'S power at first and this causes a frustrated KOLOFF to leave the ring several times to conger with HART!
Asolid knee to the gut as these two try to lock up gives KOLOFF the edge for several miutes and he uses an array of power moves with violent intent on the STINGER!
The crowd is electric as they encourage STING as he makes a comeback!
STING and NIKITA engage in a test of strength but STING is the one who ends this with a knee to the russian's midsection!
STING throws NIKITA into the corner and goes for the stinger splash but NIKITA moves and as a dazed STING stunmbles around after missing the splash...he is met by a russian sickle and NIKITA gets a pin but unseen by the ref is NIKITA putting his feet on the ropes!
