Not only that but your going......." Styles is interrupted by the appearance of Pentagon Jr, who comes out demeaning the live audience in Spanish. Penta then says he is here to face ANYBODY in the building tonight because he has "CERO MIEDO!!"
After a few seconds a man comes out shocking the crowd....... REY FENIX IS BACK!!!!
Match One: Rey Fenix vs Pentagon Jr Joey Styles gets to his announce table and reminds the tv audience that we havent seen Fenix since the night Penta turned on him weeks ago! Penta with a kick, Fenix with a kick and they each hit more kicks to knock each other down. Fenix jumped up leading to a rollup, Penta came back with a back elbow and Penta got a reverse capture into a rollup for two. Fenix with a headscissors to send Penta out of the ring. Penta sent Fenix over the top to the floor. Penta took a long time to follow, so Fenix with a roll through into a dropkick. Penta brought Fenix to the apron, Penta with a superkick and hit a Package Piledriver on the ring apron, which is the hardest part of the ring as we all know. Joey Styles says on commentary that it was a little too much. Penta hit a Canadian Destroyer on the floor. Penta said “zero mieda” meaning no fear and hit another Package Piledriver for the pinfall win after 13 minutes!
Joey Styles: "What a low life Pentagon Jr has became. That is his very own blood..... his family..... his Brother! And he just did his best to end his career! Sickening! If he will do that to his Brother, can you imagine what he will do to anyone else?" Cody Rhodes & The Steiners vs Team Angle in an Elimination Match Angle and Rick Steiner start things off with Angle being taken to the mat for an early bow and arrow. Charlie Haas comes in to work on a hammerlock and drive Rick into the corner for some shots to the back. It’s off to Benjamin for a powerslam as the picking apart of Rick continues. Rick gets over for the tag off to Cidy Rhodes. A clothesline puts Haas on the floor and a double dropkick does the same to Benjamin. Back with Scott Steiner getting out of trouble with some chops to Haas. Cody comes in so Haas is waiting on him with a thumb to the eye to take over again. A clothesline has Haas screaming about his neck and Cody makes it worse with some right hands in the corner. Scott and Benjamin come in for the exchange of chops until Benjamin plants him with the spinebuster.
It’s back to Angle for a forearm to the neck as Haas puts on an armbar, followed by Benjamin getting two off a suplex as the alternating continues. Scott kicks Benjamin away and brings Rick back in for a failed Boston Crab attempt.
The big Steinerline takes Haas down as well as Team Angle just can’t get much going here. Rick gets in the enziguri though and everything breaks down. Codys spear and the Cross Rhodes sets up gets rid of Benjamin.
***Shelton Benjamin Eliminated ***
Haas comes in next and kicks Rick in the ribs as the fans give Benjamin the Goodbye Song. It’s quickly off to Angle for a rather aggressive chinlock. Rick fights up and brings Cody back in but he charges into a raised boot. He’s fine enough to superplex Angle but Haas breaks up the spear. Haas goes up but gets slammed right back down, allowing the latest hot tag to Rick. That means Steinerlines for everybody! Rick gets the powerslam on Haas but Benjamin (Still at ringside) offers a distraction, meaning it’s the Angle Slam to give Angle the pin, tying things up.
***Rick Steiner Eliminated ***
Angle chopping Scott and takes a few shots from Cody as well. The classic poke to the eye lets Angle come back in for another chinlock. Cody fights up and hits a spinwheel kick as Scotty comes in again to exchange chops with Haas followed by the rolling German suplexes.
Without a tag, Angle comes in as well, earning himself a German suplex of his own to Scott, 1......2......3!
***Scott Steiner Eliminated ***
It’s only Cody left to clean house and a spear hits Haas. Unfortunately a low blow and the Angle Slam hit Cody, giving Angle the pin and the win to Team Angle!
Joey Styles: "When that match was announced, the words dream Match came to everyone's mind. You have six of the very best technical Wrestlers in the world involved there..... and unfortunately it was a low blow by Kurt Angle that leads to the pinfall. Match Three: AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe w/Don Callis for the Progress Heavyweight title A PISSED OFF AJ RUSHES right at Joe and gives him a suplex. He snapmares Joe over and kicks him in the shoulder blades. More kicks. Styles even levels Joe with the Best Dropkick in the Business. Joe eventually has enough and chops him back. Styles tries to get into a brawl with Joe, which is a big mistake. Joe kicks the crap out of AJ and boots him to the floor. They fight on the apron over a suplex, which ends with Styles snapping Joe’s neck on the top rope. Joe sidesteps a pescado and sweeps AJ’s feet out from under him to face plant on the apron. He then grabs AJ and violently swings him into the guardrail. Joe whips Styles into the guardrail and then boots him down much to the please of Don Callis. Back inside, Joe snapmares AJ for the combination that ends with a devastating knee drop. AJ tries to kick him back and takes an even more powerful kick to the gut from Joe. There’s just nothing AJ can do now. He tries a leapfrog, but Joe catches him in mid-air for a flapjack. Jumping senton splash gets two. Running knee in the corner sets up what could be the Face Wash, but AJ catches the boot. Discus Clothesline gets stopped with a slap to the face. He shoves AJ down into another corner and delivers a running boot. Another fight on the apron sets up a Pele Kick from AJ, but a springboard into a powerbomb. Joe wants the STF, but AJ escapes. Nevertheless, Joe bends him in half with a Boston crab with his hands clasped at the femur bones. AJ manages to kick Joe in the face to break free, which is pretty creative. Joe takes a tumble to the floor so that AJ can bust out the FOSBURY FLOP. Back in, AJ nails the Springboard Punch to the back of Joe’s head for two. Asai DDT gets two as well. Joe cuts him off with a powerslam, but then AJ plays a little rope a dope and kicks Joe back. His mouth is busted open. Powerbomb to Joe gets 1......2....... NO! Joe cuts him off again with a Lariat. Styles gets some of that FIGHTING SPIRIT going after a butterfly powerbomb. Joe doesn’t know what to think. Another Pele Kick connects. They fight up on the top rope as Joe teases a SUPER MUSCLE BUSTER. AJ brings Joe down and hits the STYLES CLASH for 1........ 2....... NO!! JOE KICKS OUT!!! Joe shoves the ref into the ropes to try and trip up AJ, but Styles jumps down just in time and tries an O’Connor roll only to fall back into the COQUINA CLUTCH. AJ refuses to tap and passes out from the hold to give Joe the win and retain his title.
Joe looks down at Styles then takes his Progress Heavyweight title, and looks directly into the camera......
Samoa Joe: "While champions all over the NWA are falling and losing titles recently, one things remains the same...... I am still the baddest man in the NWA! And as the Progress Heavyweight champion, I should be main eventing shows, not wrestling the third match! Continue to disrespect me and see what happens!" Match Four: The Road Warriors vs The G-Club (Rick Rude & Jesse Ventura) w/Madusa Rude immediately goes up the turnbuckles and Hawk just casually presses him off the top rope and dumps him on the floor. Rude tries to overpower Hawk and gets nowhere, so it’s over to Ventura. He too gets mauled and press-slammed, and Hawk dropkicks him for two. Ventura goes up and Animal catches him with a powerslam for two. The Warriors double-team Ventura and batter him in the corner, and finally Rude comes back in to try with Animal. Hawk comes in and tries another press-slam on Ventura, but this time Rude takes out his knee and the G-Club take over. Hawk gets trapped in the corner while the G-Club work the knee, and Rude gets a figure-four. Ventura comes in and works a knucklelock on the mat, but Hawk gets his knees up and makes the hot tag to Animal. All Hell breaks loose and Tommy Young gets taken out by Hawk accidentally, and then they hit the Doomsday Device on Ventura for the pin at 13:25 with a sub ref counting. BUT WAIT........ Young recovers and calls for the bell...... disqualifying the Warriors for hitting the ref.
Joey Styles: "I'm all for protecting a referee and in recent weeks there have been plenty of questionable decisions by NWA officials, but I'm just going to say this...... the Road Warriors got screwed there! Plain and simple! And now, The G-Club could be riding the hottest hand possible going into this week's National Tag Team Title Tournament!" PAC tried to stop him, but Swerve got a hanging arm breaker on the ladder to PAC. Owen returned and ran up the ladder, Guerrero stopped him but Owen hit the code breaker. As Owen tried to get the case, Darby returned and climbed; Shinsuke toppled them off the ladder and climbed, but ate the back stabber from Swerve. PAC returned, big swing on Swerve, and then one for Owen, swinging him into a ladder. PAC set up a ladder in a corner, Guerrero took him out and climbed to hit the big elbow drop onto PAC. Shinsuke then placed Guerrero onto a ladder and hit a huge frog splash. Shinsuke was then alone and looked to climb, but Darby returned for the big brawl. Darby then bent Shinsuke in half with a Michinoku driver on a ladder that was set on its side. Darby then climbed but Swerve hit him with a ladder repeatedly to stop his climb. Swerve then made a ladder bridge between the ladder and corner, he and Darby battled on the ladder and Owen then returned. PAC was also back with another ladder and hit Owen and PAC made a bridge on the other side. Shinsuke and Guerrero also returned and they were all on the ladders. Big time brawl here, Swerve and PAC down and then the remaining four all looked to grab the title and set up another ladder beside them. He and Swerve climbed and all six were looking for the belt hanging above, PAC and Swerve were toppled over and PAC crotched himself and Swerve took a bad landing. Darby and Shinsuke were then left and Nakamura got crotched on the ladder. Darby climbed but Guerrero returned and took Darby down. Guerrero tried to stop him, pulled him down and hit a hangman’s dirty deeds. Darby climbed again but Shinsuke stopped him and powerbombed him onto the ladder. Shinsuke rolled him off and climbed, he and Guerrero battled and Guerrero slammed Shinsuke into the ladder and sent him off onto the bridge. Guerrero then grabbed the title and won! AND NEWWWWW PROGRESS ATLAS CHAMPION....... EDDIE GUERRERO!!!
Joey Styles: "MY GOD, what a match! Just when it looked like Shinsuke might retain his title, his 8 month title reign cones to an end. And now we have a new champion in Latino Heat, Eddie Guerrero! Gans, as you can see they are lowering the steel cage for our next contest. While that is happening, I'm being told that Renee Young is in the back. Take it away Renee!" Renee Young: "Thanks Joey, I am indeed outside the dressing room door where I hope to get a word with Lex Luger as he heads into his world title match tonight." Madusa: "You will do no such thing! What is it with you creepy reporters, always wanting backstage, stalking the talent? You want a scoop Missy? Luger is in the best shape of his career. I have his mindset locked in. And then Hangman fights him off and RAMS THE SPIKE INTO HIS EYE, drawing blood from Schultz.
