LANCE RUSELL welcomes the fans to the show and starts to remind everyone about the upcoming ROAD TO STARRCADE spectacular tomorrow night at The Rupp Arena as USWA battles it out with some of PROGRESS'S top starts and is headlined by a NWA National Title match as the champion- WALTER defends the belt against the Olympian -KURT AMGLE! Other matches will have DR.D DAVID SHULTZ takes on EDGE/ Former world NWA TV Champion- JIMMY " SUPERFLY" SNUKA faces japanese superstar SHINSUKE NAKAMURA/ GINO HERNANDEZ faces the tough KEVIN OWENS/ JERRY "THE KING" LAWLER takes on the always dangerous HANGMAN ADAM PAGE/ jesse " The Body" VENTURA faces the big scottsman DREW MCINTYRE and a battle of the big men as HOUSE OF BLACK will face THEpoiwers of pain!
And speaking of the Road To Starrcade, i want to bring out the man who went into Philadelphia and showed the NWA just what he is all about as he defeated SHAWN MICHAELS for the WWF HERATIGE TITLE...RAZOR RAMON!"
RAMON talks about beating HBK in Philadelphia and saying how this shows that he is using this as a stepping stone to winning the National Title at Starrcade from WALTER and how he will be ringside at Rupp ARena onn Saturday night at Road To Starrcade to watch WALTER firsthand!
1st Match: JESSE "THE BODY" VENTURA vs CARL FERGIE
FERGIE is outmatched in the skill and power in this bout and after VENTURA softens him up with some forearm smashes and knees to the mat, he picks FERGIE up and applies the over the shoulder back breaker to get the submission win!
After the match JESSE tells LANCE and the fans that he is looking forward to Saturday night and is ready to send ol DREW MCINTYER back to Scotland on a stretcher!
2nd Match: The POWERS of PAIN vs The MULKEYS
Exactly what you'd expect here as the MULKEYTS are just ragdolls throughout this match and get the hell beat outta them ! It mercifully ends after BARBARIAN hits a top rope flyin headbutt onto RANDY and gets the pin!
LANCE tries to interview them but they just snarl at LANCE and head to the dressing room!
Up Next USWA Heavyweight champion- NIKITA KOLOFF w/ JIMMY HART come out and HART proudly talks about how NIKITA beat down NWA World Champion- RANDY SAVAGE in Philly and nwas within an inch of takingb that belt!
NIKITA then chips in with some broken english threats to the world champ saying that the RUSSIAN NIGHTMARE is about to be a reality for the Macho Man!
3rd Match: DR. D DAVID SHULTZ vs RICK McGRAW
McGRAW starts off strong and has SHULTZ on the run by then good ol Doc fights back with some underhanded tactics and ends things with a pin after a flying fist drop ala LAWLER!
Afterwards SHULTZ is interviewed by LANCE and tells how he is gonna beat that long haired vampire wanna be EDGE this Saturday!
4th Match: GINO HERNANDEZ vs TONY FALK
GINO is wrestling like a finely tuned machine nher and FALK has no answer for him ! GINO actually gets a submission win here as he applies the STF to FALK!
Up next is JIMMY SNUKA who is interviewed and he talks about how he welcomes the chance to test his skills against a man the caliber of Nakamura and feels that with the fans behind him he will achieve victory!
5th Match: KURT ANGLE vs GEORGE SOUTH
The olympian has little trouble here with SOUTH as he tosses him around with various suplexes before hitting the Angle Slam and getting the pin!
ANGLE is intervewed and says that although he respects how dominant WALTER has been in his defense of the NATIONAL Title that he has never faced a true wrestling machine like ANGLE nad on Saturday night, WALTER is gonna drop that title to him!
6th Match:JERRY "THE KING" LAWLER vs JEFF GAYLORD
Actually a very even match for then most part but GAYLORD sets up a back bodydrop and LAWLER grabs him and hits the piledriver for the win!
LAWLER tells LANCE and the fans that he hasnt been at his beat lately and hopes to rectify that situation Saturday night at Rup Arena when he faces HANGMAN ADAM PAGE at Road to STARRCADE!
The show ends with an interview by CAPTAIN LOU ALBANO who vows that his men will make good on their promise to beat the BULLDOGS for the tag titles and lays rest to any rumors about disention between SAWYER and SULLIVAN!
