It's the 4th of July in Texas! And WCW is going all out for a fan experience before Nitro. We see Gene Okerlund and Jim Ross doing some grilling......
Across the stadium Hardcore Country, Mickie James and Rebel are doing a meet and greet.....
And right before Nitro comes on the air, Toby Keith sings "Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue along with special guest Dusty Rhodes!
Jim Ross: "Hello everyone and Happy 4th of July! You seen at the top of the show we have made a day out of it, celebrating Americana, if you will! And now we have a huge show of wrestling action ahead! So let's get ya up to the ring!" Rey Mysterio vs Dean Malenko Malenko starts the match off quickly and takes Mysterio down to the mat. He picks him up and slams him down for a two count. Malenko gets back to his feet and hits a Spinebuster and goes for the Texas Cloverleaf, but Mysterio fights out. Malenko stays on the offense and starts working on the arm of Mysterio. Mysterio gets to his feet and goes for a moonsault, but Malenko catches him and sends him into the corner. Mysterio isn’t phased and comes back with a headscissors and sends Malenko to the outside. Malenko tries to climb back in the ring, but Mysterio hits a dropkick and sends him flying. Mysterio comes flying out of the ring with a plancha and Malenko is down. Malenko is back in the ring and Mysterio takes him down for a two count. He tries another athletic move, but Malenko outsmarts him and hits a side slam. Malenko picks him up and just throws him into the ropes and it has Mysterio favoring the leg. He slams him down and puts him in a single leg crab and works the arm at the same time. He puts Mysterio up on the top and they come off with a belly to back suplex and he scores a near fall.
Malenko stays on the offensive and hits a brainbuster for a two count. Mysterio attempts to mount a comeback and hits a thumb to the eye and rolls Malenko up for a two count. Malenko gets up quickly and hits a dropkick to the back. Malenko with a Tilt-O-Whirl Backbreaker, but Mysterio kicks out at two. Both men fall to the outside and Malenko throws him into the apron before rolling him back in the ring to stay on offense. He puts Mysterio in asleep and falls to the mat so he can grapevine the legs. Mysterio fights his way back to his feet, but Malenko throws him down by the mask. Mysterio fights his way back up again only to be taken down once again. Malenko locks his arm behind his back and hits a Northern Lights Suplex for a two count. He works him into the corner, but Mysterio reverses and both men go up to the top. They knock each other off and both men splash out to the floor. Mysterio throws him into the guardrail and tries a springboard, but Malenko is one step ahead again. They get back in the ring and Mysterio hits a splash for a two. Mysterio comes off the top with a somersault splash and rolls him up for a two count. He goes for a reverse Hurricanrana and rolls him up for another near fall. Malenko is back to his feet and just wallops Mysterio with a clothesline followed by a delayed suplex. Mysterio tosses him to the outside and comes off the second rope with a splash that has both men outside again. Mysterio hits a Hurricanrana for a two as they get back in the ring and he goes for a second one but Malenko hits a Powerbomb instead. Mysterio climbs up top again, but Malenko is right behind him. They fight up top before Malenko hits an Avalanche Gut Wrench Suplex and picks up the win!
Gene Okerlund: "OHHHH MY! Impressive win for one Dean Malenko. And it seems as of late you and Sammy Guevara are both trying to one up the other since that epic 30 minute draw a few weeks ago." 
Dean Malenko: "On the contrary! The kid isn't on my level. He had 30 minutes and he couldn't defeat me. I heard him last week wanting a rematch. But let's be honest.....and. he couldn't beat me once in 30 minutes, there's no way he could with another match! So the answer is......" This brings out WCW GM, Eric Bischoff......
Eric Bischoff: "You just might be on to something here Dean! Which gives me a great idea. We aren't going to have another rematch! Because in this instance, one match simply won't do. Instead, we are going to have a Best of Seven series between you guys! And the first match will be right here next week!" ***COMMERCIAL BREAK ***
Match Two: Damian Priest vs Mike Enos The fans give Priest a nice ovation here in his WCW debut. Priest hits a push kick right away and just starts pummeling Enos. Forearms follow but Enos fires back with a disaster kick. The springboard misses and Enos hits an enziguri. Enos follows with a ropewalk dropkick. Priest catches the suicide dive and hits an apron chokeslam. The spin kick and cross Rhodes finishes it. Priest is your winner.
Gene Okerlund: "Nice debut for that young man. I for one will be keeping an eye on him going forward but right now I want to bring in our WCW Womens champion...... Toni Storm! You took a huge load off your shoulders recently when you defeated what many considered to be your mentor, Paige! Now the question is, what's next for Toni Storm?" 
Toni Storm: "First off, with all due respect, let's get one thing straight.....Paige was never my mentor. She shown her true colors when she turned her back on me. I got my vengeance by defeating her soundly. As far as I'm concerned I'm finished with her. Now as far as the future goes for me, I'm going to......" This brings out Paige and the crowd instantly starts chanting "YOU TAPPED OUT!"
Paige: "Your future, cupcake? Your looking at your future! You didn't think one fluke win over me was gonna end this did you? Unless your forgot.... this is my house!" Toni Storm: "Fluke win? Incase YOU FORGOT.... Your the one who TAPPED out! And while this may be your house..... you tapping out..... made you.... MY BITCH!" Live Audience: "YOU TAPPED OUT! YOU RAPPED OUT!" Paige is pissed and looks to be heading to the ring when Bischoff yet again makes his way out......
Eric Bischoff: "Hold it! Hold it right there Paige! It's obvious that you two want to tear into each other, but no way I'm letting this happen.... not just yet anyway! Instead, we are going to have the match in two weeks. It will be for the WCW Womens title! And it will be.....an I QUIT MATCH!!" The fans pop huge as Paige and Storm stare each other down after Bischoffs announcement!
***COMMERCIAL BREAK ***
Gene Okerlund: "Welcome back wrestling fans! What a fun and exciting day it's been here today with all the festivities! Did you guys see how hot Mickie James and Rebel looked out there? Are you kidding me! Speaking of festivities I couldn't help but see my guest at this time, Dustin Rhodes throwing back a cold one or two as well." 
Dustin Rhodes: "It was really one helluva way celebrating our Independence wasn't it Gene? There's not many nights I get to watch my old man cut loose, but seeing him do his thing with Toby Keith was something I will never forget." Gene Okerlund: "Speaking of championships..... when will we see you going after a title?" Dustin Rhodes: "It's something I've been thinking about lately. I feel like I'm doing my best stuff these days. And the thought of facing off against a guy like Keith Lee or maybe finding a partner to face Doc and Gordy has a real good ring to it! I'm sure that....." 
Steve Williams: "Whoa....whoa.....whoa here! Did I just here you right? Just because you have had a few to drink today and feeling real good about yourself, don't go throwing our names around! That's bad business for you boy! Even if you did have a partner, we would still kick your asses any day of the week!" Dustin Rhodes: "Is that a fact? Well....why don't you do it right now?" Dustin nails Doc right in the mouth and the fight is on, which is a bad thing for Dustin, as Gordy jumps in the fight as well and the 2 to q odds are too much for Dustin as The Pinnacle members beat him down and leave him laying.

Match Three: Hardcore Country vs The IInspiration Royce worked over Rebel for a bit, then Mickie got the tag and hit a dropkick to the back. Royce did a head whip that sent Mickie into the mat. Kay did some trash talking followed by Kay putting her foot in Mickies face and then Kay hit a suplex for a two count. Mickie with a kick to the knee and a kick to the face. Rebel sent Kay face first into Mickie’s knees. Rebel with a running forearm.
Royce in the ring and Mickie hit a whip on her. Rebel charged right into a clothesline from Kay for two. Kay and Rebrl exchanged pinfalls and then Rebel hit FBG (Split-legged diving leg drop) to win. After the win, Mickie grabs the housemic......
Mickie James: "We are gonna keep this short and sweet! It's time the women's tag team division gets the respect it deserves. And there's a team holding those GFW Womens tag titles...... Tall and Sexy..... their doing a great job as champions so far..... but it's time for Hardcore Country to take them to the next level. So Kamilla.....Raquel..... we are coming for ya! ***COMMERCIAL BREAK ***
We come back from break and we see......
The fans give a huge ovation as Triple H makes his way to the ring!
Triple H: "I was reminded recently how fast things can change in an instant in the world of pro wrestling! Three weeks ago I defeated five of the very best this industry has to offer inside the Elimination Chamber to become the WCW Heavyweight champion. And in a blink of an eye, it was taken away from me by Yokozuna cashing in by being at the right place, at the right time! And while Yoko and I will have our dance one day.....I have some unfinished business to attend to first. And that business is..... Samoa Joe! It seems Joe has a bad attitude as of late. He seems to be unappreciated. So your having a bad day Joe..... you didn't have to make it worse! Because that's exactly what you done when you put your nose in my business. And now your gonna find out why I am..... that damed good! Because Joe.... it's time to play the game!" ***COMMERCIAL BREAK ***
Pentagon Jr vs Yokozuna w/ Mr. Fuji for the WCW Heavyweight title To say that the fans in attendance are unhappy to see Yokozuna, especially on Independence Day, is an understatement! Yolo gets in the ring and Penta shows no fear as he walks upon the champion and takes his hand shoving it in Yokos face........ "ZERO MIEDO!"
But Yoko quickly hits a karate thrust to Pentas throat, catching him off guard. Yoko grabs Penta...... BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX!! Yoko bounces off the ropes with a legdrop to Pentagon! Yoko just stands over Penta, unimpressed. Yoko grabs Penta by the arm and pulls his deadweight to the turnbuckles. Yoko climbs the turnbuckles and yells out "BONZAI!!!!" As he jumps off with the BANZAI Drop to Pentas chest! 1......2......3!!
Jim Ross: "GOOD LORD!! Never in my broadcast career have I ever seen anyone annihilate Pentagon that way! He got no offense in at all. Yokozuna is a damn beast fans!" But Yoko isn't done there as Fuji instructs Yoko to destroy Pentagon. Yoko climbs the turnbuckles again...... BANZAI DROP TO PENTA! Several EMT's try to rescue Penta but Yoko has him where he wants him. Yoko is going up again!!!! But before Yoko can hit a third drop, in comes ........
STING!!!!!
Sting pulls Yoko down off the turnbuckles and Yoko turns around and stares a hole through Sting, who pounds on his chest and let's out a Stinger yell as he charges in with a clothesline that sends Yoko flying over the top rope and to the floor..... BUT YOKO LANDS ON HIS FEET!! Yoko wants back in as Sting awaits him in the ring, but Fuji pulls Yoko back as the crowd is going nuts.
Jim Ross: "HOW ABOUT THE STINGER STEPPING UP HERE ON INDEPENDENCE DAY?? CMON YOKO.....GET YOU SOME OF THAT BYGAWD! ***COMMERCIAL BREAK ***
As we come back from break we see the closing moments of Walter vs MJF at the Terminus Summer Sizzler show the past weekend.......
MJF tries to ram WALTER into the unprotected buckle, but WALTER counters and MJF is sent in instead! WALTERto the top and hits the big splash! 1 … 2 … new champion … Noooooo! MJF kicks out!!!! WALTER picks him up …. POWERBOMB! 1 … 2 … the ref is pulled to the floor by Wardlow just before the 3 count!!!! Wardlow has the ref by the throat, looking conflicted, but then he just shoves him down! The ref calls for the bell and disqualifies MJF!
Wardlow just saved the title for MJF! WALTER wins by DQ, and is clearly not happy about it …. Wardlow collects MJF and heads to the back.
Then we pan back live and see The Pinnacle sitting in their dressing room when in walks the IWA President..... Gorilla Monsoon!
Gorilla Monsoon: "I was hoping I would find you guys tonight. Your really proud of yourselves aren't you? I e been paying close attention to you and all your hijinks! From the incident with Flair at War Games to attacking Dustin Rhodes..... and having Wardlow save you in title matches!" 
MJF: "Get to the point old man! What do you want?" Gorilla Monsoon: "Well as I was saying, this past weekends, Wardlow put his hands on an IWA Official. That doesn't sit well with me! So I'm fining him $25,000!!" Wardlow: "WHAT??? That's bullshit! You better do something here Maxwell!" Gorilla Monsoon: "And if the fine doesn't get paid, I'm suspending your so called bodyguard for 6 months!" Wardlow: "Dammit Max!! Do something!" MJF: "Relax big man.....I got this! Pocket change Monsoon..... I will have your fine money on your desk within by morning! But let me tell you something.... your crossing a real thin line here! Whether you like it or not..... The Pinnacle runs things in IWA. And at your age, it would be a shame if something happened to you!" Gorilla Monsoon: "Are you threatening me?" .
MJF: "Not at all.... I'm just stating the obvious .... Mr. President!" Gorilla Monsoon: "You just have that fine money in to my office asap! And before I leave.....I'm watching all of you very closely!" As Monsoon leaves the dressing room Wardlow let's out a yell and punches a hole through the wall.

As we come back from break we see a stretch limousine pulling into the stadium.....
Main Event: Chris Adams & Terry Taylor vs Bam Bam Bigelow & Big Van Vader w/Armando Estrada for the IWA World tag team titles. Match starts off with Adams and Taylor using their speed and technical skills to down the big men with armbars and armbreakers and the like. Eventually the power and with the use of clubbing fists the champions take control as they bust open Taylor. The crowd totally hates the big men beating up Taylor. Eventually, Taylor fights back with dropkicks, highflying and the like and then off to the races. Near falls occur, and the champions slowly start overpowering Taylor. Adams is doing everything he can to get the tag when we see a man walking down the isle and close to ringside........
It's Gino Hernandez!!!
After a few seconds Adams sees Gino at ringside and looks confused and surprised to see him. The cameras pick up Adams jumping off the ring apron and asking Gino what hes doing out here. Taylor hits Bigelow with a desperation 5 -Arm!!! Taylor crawls to the corner to tag but Gino still has Adams distracted.
Vader tags in and choke uranagis Taylor down and Taylor lands right on the back of his neck. Vader picks Taylor up and powerbombs him while Bigelow holds Adam's leg keeping Adams from being able to break up the 3 count. Vader and Bigelow retain the world titles as Gino shakes his head and leaves ringside.
Adams tends to his fallen partner as Vader and Bigelow hold their belts up high as the fireworks fill the air as show fades to black.
