The show opens up with footage of this past weeks Vince McMahon press conference....




     VINCE:" Ladies and Gentlemen...fans all over the world...My name is VINCE McMAHON and I am the owner of the WORLD WRESTLING FEDERATION!

And it's an honor and my pleasure to take a few minutes of your weekly television time to make a big announcement!

The IWA will hold a big television spectacular on March 5th called the CLASH OF THE CHAMPIONS!




And this will be exactly what the name entails....CHAMPIONS!

On this special event,every match taking place will ,indeed,be a championship match !

Every territory in the IWA will showcase a title match on this spectacular!

Any title in their territory can be on the line this night,whether it's a singles title on the line...a tag team title on the line...a TV title on the line...it's up to each promoter to decide!


And with GLOBAL FORCE WRESTLING debuting their tournaments in March...well CLASH OF THE CHAMPIONS is proud to kick off what looks to be definitely MARCH MADNESS for the IWA!


And what's even prouder is that the IWA has picked my company,The WWF, to host this great spectacular !


So i'm happy to announce that the first CLASH OF THE CHAMPIONS will be held at the Mecca of professional wrestling...MADISON SQUARE GARDEN!


And to top things off,COTC will be shown...live in it's entirety on the USA Network!

So fans...keep watching your great pro wrestling tv as more information and match announcements will be made very soon!

   Jim Ross: "Hello once again wrestling fans and welcome to another exciting edition of WCW Nitro! And you seen at the top of the hour, the Chairman of the WWE broke the news......on March 5th the WWE will be hosting Clash of the Champions! And I'm sure it won't be long until WCW General Manager, Eric Bischoff,  will be announcing the WCW match for that event. But right now it's time to get up to the ring for our opening contest. "      




Match One: "Iceman" King Parsons vs Jack Victory            

As Victory missed a haymaker, he flew over the top rope to the floor. Parsons returned Victory to the ring the hard way and dropkicked hm. When he supplied Victory with a Thesz press, Parsons got 1.
He then leapfrogged Victory and followed with another dropkick. After he survived a brief flurry by Victory, Parsons unleashed a butt butt to get the victory! As the replay is being shown, Gene Okerlund joins Iceman at ringside......



  Gene Okerlund: "OHHHH MY! This man doesn't work by the hour, and makes short work of his opponent in his WCW debut. Iceman King Parsons.....welcome to WCW!"    




Iceman Parsons: "LEMME tell ya Gene.... it's a pleasure to be here my man!  WCW has some if the best talent going anywhere and I can't wait to get my hands on some of these Roody poos! The Iceman is here to......"             


Before Iceman can continue out comes.......




THE FREEBIRDS!!!


  Michael Hayes: "NOW HOLD ON HERE JUST A MINUTE! I see what's going in here! It's bad enough that Black Wallstreet is running around with our IWA World tag team titles. But now Bischoff is going to hire Iceman King Parsons to come in here! And why? Just because it's Black History month? Me and my Brothers have had enough of all this racism! So trust me when I say this Iceman..... WCW is no good for you! The Freebirds run things here! Maybe you would be better off staying in the cotton fields back in Mississippi!"     

  Iceman Parsons: "You need to watch your mouth sucka! I could care less about those fools, Black Wallstreet! But when you come out here talking to me.... you put some respect in my name turkey! Gene, it's an honor meeting you, but I'm gonna have to cut this interview short before I do something out here I'm gonna regret!"         


Parsons goes to take his leave, which turns out to be a mistake as The Freebirds jump him from behind. The Birds take Parsons down Badstreet and put an ass whipping on Parsons until several security rush to ringside to break up the attack.

Jim Ross: "Welcome back fans! We want to give a quick update on the condition of Iceman King Parsons..... he took a few bumps and bruises, and was assisted back to the dressing room area. But we are being told no serious injuries. Us here at WCW do not condone neither the words, or actions, by The Freebirds. And you can bet that they will have to deal with Iceman down the road one day."           




Match Two: Keith Lee vs Elix Skipper            

The crowd starts chanting "OH....BASK IN HIS GLORY!" And "WHOOP WHOOP......KEITH LEE!" as Skipper gets right in Lee’s face and gets tossed to the other side with ease from Lee. Lee sling shooting himself into a cross body onto Skippee. Lee goes to pick up Skipper, but Skippee escapes and hits a dropkick before Lee bounces off the ropes and POUNCES Skipper to the outside!! Lee plays to the audience which gives Skipper time to hit a cutter on Lee and a corkscrew over the top rope to the outside on Lee. Back inside, Skippee tries to fight off Lee, but Lee swats him down easily and hits a pop-up Jack Hammer for the pin! As the replay is being shown, Okerlund joins Lee in the ring.


  Gene Okerlund: "Alot of big things happening around the IWA in the month of March. We already know about the Clash of Champions on March 5th. But just days ago our friends at Pro Wrestling Illustrated announced they will be having a series of shows to crown their Global Force Champions. And on March 26th, this man, Keith Lee will have a chance to become the Pro Wrestling Illustrated Gen Next champion! A big opportunity for you my friend!"     



  Keith Lee: "It certainly is, and one I'm not taking lightly! This world we call Pro wrestling is such a roller coaster ride. The fans see all the lights.... the pyro...... all the glamor. What they don't see....or what they don't know.....is the long miles you put in driving from one show to the next. Living in your car..... with barely enough change to buy a loaf of bread and some peanut butter to get you by. I've lived that life! I've put in the miles....and put in the work. So when Pro Wrestling Illustrated asked me to be in that tournament I couldn't have said yes any faster. You look around the IWA and see the Ric Flairs...... the Bryan Danielsons..... even the Britt Bakers.....all in the top spots......making top money. Winning that Gen Next title propels you into a different level in this business. And I've seen that tournament field. You have...... Malachi Black...... Sammy Guevara...... Kenny Omega.... all hungry for that title. But Gentlemen.... on March 26th..... you all...... will Bask......in my.......Glory!"

We come back from break and see the WCW Heavyweight champion, Adam Cole already in the ring.......




Adam Cole: "Who's ready for story time with Adam Cole...... BAY BAY!!!! Five months ago I showed up here in WCW with Ole Glory on my shoulder. And I challenged Steve Austin to a title Unification match. Nobody gave me a chance of beating him. But yet..... here I stand the unified champion. Then WCW wants to travel to Japan. They throw Hiroshi Tanahashi in my face and all the critics said I wouldn't leave Japan with the title. And look at me now! I told the world I would beat those guys and I proved it by being the greatest wrestler to ever step foot in a pro wrestling ring. But I'm sick and tired of talking about beating guys like Austin and Tanahashi.  I want to talk about Clash of the Champions..... and who my opponent will be! I mean let's be honest..... you guys don't want to see Barry Windham defend some third rate title like the WCW TV Title there do ya? Besides, we all know what group truly runs WCW don't we? And I'm sure you don't want to see The Lucha Brothers at the Clash!  Those guys have been ducking The Bucks since they got here. And sure...... Toni Storm might be OK to look at.....but she's no Britt Baker!!! So that leaves the only champion in WCW  that deserves that spotlight at the Clash! And as for who my opponent would be..... I would tell them to come on out here right now. But we all know there isn't anyone back there man enough to want to face me!"      





The fans pop loudly as Samoa Joe makes his way into the ring. As Joe gets in the ring, the fans chant "JOE'S GONNA KILL YOU!!"




Samoa Joe: "Adam Cole.....right now.....all eyes.....are on.....ME! People have been wondering what my next move is. And those same people consider you WCW's golden boy! I consider you.....my golden opportunity! So.....BAY BAY...."         


As Joe is talking Cole goes for a cheapshot Superkick! But Joe catches Coles foot! Joe spins Cole around into the ropes and hits a huge belly to belly suplex on Cole! Joe maneuvers behind Cole........ COQUINA CLUTCH!!! Cole tries fighting away but Joe has it locked in. Cole begins to fade......and within seconds Cole is out! Joe releases the hold and looks down at Cole and the WCW title then leaves them both in the ring as cameras pan backstage......


   Gene Okerlund: "OHHHHH MY!! SAMOA JOE JUST MADE A HUGE IMPACT THERE. THATS ONE WE WILL BE KEEPING OUR EYES ON! BUT RIGHT NOW IM JOINED BY WCW GENERAL MANAGER, ERIC BISCHOFF,  WHO I UNDERSTAND HAS A HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT TO MAKE!" 

Eric Bischoff: "You better believe I do! And it doesn't get any bigger than the IWA World title! Last week, I said that match would happen at Clash of the Champions.  But I've made the necessary moves and in two weeks.....right here on WCW Nitro it will be Ric Flair defending the IWA Heavyweight title against Hulk Hogan.... with special guest referee..... "STONE COLD " STEVE AUSTIN!"




  Gene Okerlund: "UNBELIEVABLE ANNOUNCEMENT! Fans don't you dare miss that one.... a match that could Main Event anywhere in the world....and UT happens right here in two weeks!"

  Match Three: Lita & Trish Stratus vs The IInspiration  w/Britt Baker            

Peyton Royce starting against Trish. They lock up, and Royce powers her to the corner. Billy Kay tags in and stomps her. Royce tags in and kicks Stratus down for a two count. Trish quickly knocks her out of the ring and tags Lita in. Lita gets Royce tied up in the apron and clubs away at her. Stratus then hits Royce with a baseball slide. Lita gets her in the ring for a two count. Lita sends her to the corner and avalanches her. Stratus tags back in and slaps Royce. Lita tags back in, but Royce reverses a whip. Kay blind tags in and snaps Lita off the top rope for a two count. Royce tags in, and The IInspiration double-team Lita with kicks. Lita gets an inside cradle for a near fall. Royce soon clotheslines her down for a two count. The IInspiration double-team Lita again for a near fall. Royce takes her down by the hair, but Lita kicks her away and hits a jawbreaker. They then grab the hair and slam each other.

Trish and Kay are tagged in. Trish hits a pair of clotheslines followed by some punches and a Stratusfaction!!! 1......2......Royce breaks up the pin. Lita runs in and knocks Royce out of the ring. Royce then gets Trish out of the ring. As the ref is trying to maintain order, Lita uses the ropes to try and pull herself up....AND BRITT BAKER NAILS HER IN THE FACE WITH THE IWA WOMENS TITLE!!!  Cover by Peyton, 1......2.......3!





As The IInspiration trio make their way to the back, Lita grabs the housemic.......





Lita: "Britt Baker.....I've had it!! You have stuck your nose in my business one too many times! So why don't we do this.....it seems everyone tonight is making matches......so in two weeks.....you and me.....one on one.....for that IWA Womens World title!!!"         




***COMMERCIAL BREAK ***




Gene Okerlund: "Welcome back fans.....what a night it has been so far! I want to bring in now..... he is the IWA X Division champion..... MJF! Last week we seen the arrival of one Rob Van Dam and it by the looks of it, he's here for you and that X Division title. Your thoughts Sir?"        


MJF: "The picture paints itself doesn't it? Here comes Rob Van Dam from basically nowhere thinking he wants a shot at MY title! Well I hate to ruin all the marks wet dreams..... but it's just not going to happen!"            

  Gene Okerlund: "Now wait just a minute MJF! Are you telling me that you refuse to defend your title against Rob Van Dam?"         




  MJF: "Did I stutter chrome dome? Think about it..... what kind of example would I be sending to the children out there if I let a lazy pothead just walk into WCW and demand a title shot when he's done absolutely nothing to deserve it? Does it send out a good message to the kids that it's OK to do the Devils lettuce? Is it OK to get a title shot when your not even in the top 10? The answer is absolutely no! Rob Van Dam..... you want a title shot? Do the work! Climb the rankings. Get off the drugs! Then.....maybe we can talk then. Because your nowhere in my league right now Kid. Because I'm MJF.....And I'm Better Than You...... And You Know It!"             




   Main Event: Owen Hart & Davey Boy Smith  vs Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard       

Owen and Davey are bringing their A game offense with Owens catapult, Davey Boy's powerslam and victory roll. Tully does his knee lift to seemingly set up Davey Boy for a heat segment, but it is a pysch out as Owen comes in. Only this time, for Owen to run the ropes and take a blind knee to the back from Arn. Tully hits his bodyslam on the outside. Tully and Davey Boy do a good chase sequence. Tully tying up Owen in the ropes and Tully eating ropes. Davey Boy comes in and cant stop Irish Whipping the Horsemen into each other. Davey Boy hits his gorilla press slam, but the Horsemen counters and Arn clips the knee of Davey. As Tully and Owen brawl on the outside, Arn hits his DDT on Davey to get the pinfall. The Horsemen celebrate up the isle as show fades to black.
