We are back after a delay but during the delay USWA definitely wasn't idle!
We were a proud part of the IWA'S 12 Days of Christmas Tour!
And what a fantastic tour !
The Best of the entire IWA showcased their talents all over the country and even in a few other countries and it was YOU the fans that were the winners!
Well now that we are back to our weekly program schedule( i know...just fukin play along lol) do i have some big news for everyone!
The USWA will be holding an 8 man tournament to crown our very first heavyweight champion!
And the finals will take place LIVE on PPV at WRESTLE KINGDOM...on June 29th from...JAPAN!
But even more special,the first two rounds of this tournament will be held right here ,live, on tv !!
And the first round starts right here today!
And we have this show expanded to 90 minutes just for this reason !
So let's get right to the first tornament match!!
1ST Match:RICK RUDE w/JIMMY HART vs PAT PATTERSON
RUDE is his usual cocky self here and with good reason!
And having HART in his corner just makes him that much morem confident!
But PATTERSON is no slouch of course as not only can he wrestle but he can get down and dirty if needed!
RUDE'S strength definitely helps him get out of some dire situations whenever PAT gets an advantage!
HART pretty much behaves himself until near the end when ,as PATTERSON, hits the ropes ,HART grabs a leg and distracts PATTERSON long enough for RUDE to clobber him from behind!
One RUDE AWAKENING later and RUDE gets a tainted pin and advances to the next round!
Match # 2: SHANE DOUGLAS vs KEVIN SULLIVAN
SULLY is his usual crazy ass self but SHANE is no slouch and gives SULLY a run for his money !
This match spills out to the floor and SULLY feels right at home in this environment!
Unfortunately,SULLY loses his train of thought during the chaos and doesn't realize that as he tosses SHANE back into the ring,a second later the bell rings and SULLY has been counted out and SHANE wins by count out and advances to the next round!
SULLY,ofc, loses his shit and beats the hell outta SHANE until some wrestlers from the back come out to stop the onslaught!
LANCE:"Coming to the USWA in a short time is he world renowned OLE ANDERSON ! He recently sent usn a short video clip. Let's take a look!"
OLE ANDERSON: " Well first of all,i want to make myself perfectly clear! I'm not coming here to make friends or fans! I'm coming to the USWA to leave a long trail of broken bodies and bones as only an ANDERSON can do ! "
Match # 3: AUSTIN IDOL vs BUZZ SAWYER
Now this is a battle !
Back and forth these two go at it and it almost looks like BUZZ would win after a powerslam, but IDOL was close to the ropes and was able to get a foot on the bottom rope and break the count !
AS a prone IDOL lay in the center of the ring,BUZZ comes off the top rope with a big slash...IDOL moves...BUZZ hits the canvas and is stunned enough for IDOL to roll him up,get the three count and advance to the next round!
Match # 4: TERRY FUNK vs MACHO MAN RANDY SAVAGE
Craziness barely describes the action here!
That this match didn't see anyone disqualified is a damn miracle!
Surprisingly FUNK'S overanxiousness caused im to hit hard during a charge into the corner when SAVAGE moved !
SAVAGED climbed to the top rope and hit his patented Flying Elbow and he covered FUNK for a damn impressive win!!
LANCE:" Well fans what a great action packed show!
This is the kind of action yu can expect from USWA in 2022!
The semi finals will be here next week as we'll have
AUSTIN IDOL vs RICK RUDE
and SHANE DOUGLAS vs MACHO MAN RANDY SAVAGE!
