MID SOUTH WRESTLING (CHAIRSHOT'S VERSION)

Bill Watts welcomes the television audience and announces that tonight will see the first ever Mid-South Heavyweight champion crowned in a single elimination tournament. Then reveals the participants.....

7. Ted Dibiase

Match One: Chris Adams vs Al Perez

Great back and forth matchup that goes well over 15 minutes long, but the finish comes when Adams hits his Superkick to advance in the tournament.



Match Two: Iceman King Parsons vs Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin

Garvin has major heel heat as the crowd can't stand him. But Garvin overcomes it and hits a braunbuster to advance.



Match three: Junkyard Dog vs One Man Gang w/Jimmy Hart

This ones just a fight, and Jimmy Hart interferes as much as possible for his man to gain an advantage, even bringing out King Kong Bundy to help Gang double team JYD, which leads to the disqualification. Gang and Bundy don't stop though. They put a beatdown on JYD until Hacksaw Duggan makes the save.



Match Four: Ted DiBiase vs Terry Taylor

Great scientific matchup with both men showing the respect for one another. DiBiase gets the win with a powerslam around the 15 minute mark.



Match Five: Chris Adams vs Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin

These two put on a classic! Both men refusing to lose. Adams goes for the Superkick, but Garvin ducks and rolls Adams up using his tights to secure the victory.



Match Six: Junkyard Dog vs Ted DiBiase

JYD has his ribs taped up, but refuses to not compete in the match. DiBiase often works the ribs, and once again gets the win with his powerslam. He shakes JYDs hand and heads to the Finals against Jimmy Garvin.



Match Seven: The Fantastics vs Power & Glory

Power and Glory look like their former selves and remind the crowd why they are former UWF World tag champions as they pick up an impressive victory.



Main Event: Ted DiBiase vs Jimmy Garvin for the Mid-South Wrestling Heavyweight Title


Textbook matchup between these two. DiBiase is a house of fire looking to become the champ. Ref bump pursues, and Precious sprays DiBiase in the eyes, allowing Garvin to hit the Brainbuster! "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin is the new Mid South Wrestling Heavyweight Champion!

"Cowboy" Bill Watts welcome the tv audience and informs them that Mid South Wrestlings road to Wrestlemania begins tonight as we start the first round of a single elimination tournament. With the championship match taking place at Wrestlemania. Watts then reveals the 8 tag teams involved.....

2. One Man Gang & King Kong Bundy
3. Fantastics
4. John Tatum & Jack Victory
5. Hacksaw Duggan & Mr. Wrestling 2
6. Power & Glory
7. Butch Reed & David Schultz

Match One: Chris Adams & Terry Taylor vs Butch Reed & David Schultz

Adams and Taylor are over huge here in Oklahoma. Reed and Schultz are as nasty as they come. They use every dirty trick in the book. They look to have it won when Schultz picks up Adams for Reed who flies off the top with a shouldertackle, but Adams ducks and Reed hits Schultz. Taylor flies in with a "Fivearm" to Reed and Adams follows up with a supermodel to advance to the next round next week. Adams and Taylor celebrate with the fans. But inside the ring, Schultz has other plans. He attacks Reed!! Schultz beats Reed down, and hits a piledriver on Reed before leaving him on the mat and exiting the ring.



Match Two: Hacksaw Jim Duggan & Mr. Wrestling 2 vs Power and Glory

Duggan gets the crowd wound up with his brawling skills, then 2 keeps the former world tag champions off balance with his technical bliss. But on the end it's too much as Hercules his a beautiful superplex off the top rope and Roma flies off with the elbow drop to advance.



Match Three: The Fantastics vs John Tatum & Jack Victory

No love loss between these teams. As they brawl for several minutes, but The Fantastics hit a double dropkick on Victory for the win.



Bill Watts welcomes the new Mid-South Heavyweight champion, "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin to the interview area. Watts reminds the audience it was some shady tactics from Garvin to defeat Ted DiBiase for the title.


Jimmy Garvin: "Listen man, it's not my fault that im prettier than Ted DiBiase. It's not my fault that im the better wrestler. I should be the one representing Mid South at Wrestlemania. It's not my fault your a terrible owner, who doesn't recognize true talent. But you know what is my fault? The reason this interview is over!"


Match Four: Junkyard Dog & Iceman Parsons vs One Man Gang & King Kong Bundy w/Jimmy Hart

JYD still has his ribs taped up from the damage Gang and Bundy did to him in the singles tournament. But that doesn't keep him from bringing the fight. He's all over Gang and Bundy with headbutts. Then Iceman his his rear-thump on Bundy but he can't get him off his feet. JYD tries for a bodyslam, but hurts his ribs in the process. Gang clothesline Iceman over to the floor. Sidewalk slam to the Dog. Gang hit a the ropes....big splash to JYD. Bundy follows up and nails all 500 pounds onto of JYD. The ref counts three! Jimmy Hart celebrates with his men as Watts wonders if these could be your Mid South tag team champions at Wrestlemania as show comes to an end.

"Cowboy" Bill Watts once again welcomes the tv audience and gives a rundown of tonight's show, where we have our final 2 tag matches to determine who goes to Wrestlemania and becomes the first ever Mid,-South tag champions.


Match One: Chris Adams & Terry Taylor vs Power & Glory

This one is a barn burner that goes well past 20 minutes. Power and Glory keep Taylor in their corner with great tag wrestling. Taylor mounts his comeback and hits the 5-Arm on Roma. Then makes the desperation tag. Adams comes in a house of fire. He rocks Herc with a vicious powerslam. But once again. Power and Glory regain the momentum. Her takes Taylor up top for the Superplex as Roma climbs up the opposite corner. Her nails the superplex but as Roma flies off the ropes to finish Taylor, Adams hits him with a beautiful sidekick coming down. Adams rolls Roma up, 1....2....3!! Watts talks about that having to be a major upset as Adams and Taylor just defeated former UWF World tag champions!

"Hacksaw" Butch Reed storms into the ring and calls out Dr. D David Schultz after being attacked by him last week in the tournament. Schultz who fears no man, obliges....and the fight is on as both men beat the Hell out of one another. Reed send Schultz into the ropes and hits a flying shoulder tackle. Reed is pumped up! As he rips his shirt off ready for more, it allows Schultz to reach into his tights and pull out brass knuckles! He nails Reed! Reed is out. Schultz puts the boots to him until several refs and security make their way out to pull him off.

Match Two: Mr. Wrestling 2 vs Buddy Landell

2 puts on a scientific clinic in this one, dissecting Landell apart before hitting his running knee lift for the win.

Main Event: The Fantastics vs King Kong Bundy & One Man Gang w/ Jimmy Hart

The Fantastics never stood a chance as Bundy and Gang attack immediately. They use the size to keep the Fantastics down before finishing them off with Bundys 500lb splash for the win. The match is now set at Wrestlemania....it will be Chris Adams & Terry Taylor vs Gang and Bundy for the Mid South tag team titles!
