The show opens with Gordon explaining how this tourney even came about . Showing the replay of the injury to Dusty . Now the matches .
Chris Adams vs Dynamite Kid : These two are no strangers to one another . It’s a war from the start . Adams mixes in his judo , karate and wrestling really well . But Hart is the difference in this . Every time Adams has Dynamite pinned , Hart does something . Rather it be distracting the ref or putting Dynamite’s foot on the ropes . Adams gets tired of the bullshit and goes after Hart , allowing Dynamite to take over . After a Superplex , he hits an inverted Piledriver for the 3 .
Dynamite moves on .
Barry Windham vs Mike Rotunda: Seems like a lot of grudges here in this opening round . Windham is taking the fight right to Rotunda , who does the little things that matter , like eye gouging , hair pulling and occasional biting . Rotunda sets up Barry for a Spinning Rock Bottom , but Barry holds on and turns it into a DDT !! Barry gets the cover and the 1.....2.....3 !!!
Greg Valentine vs Jeff Hardy ; Valentine goes after Jeff’s leg and brilliantly has him hurting with a focused attack . He goes for the Figure Four, but Jeff fights through the pain and rolls it over . Valentine is caught in the middle of the ring and has no choice but to tap out .
Tommy Rich vs Kerry Von Erich : Rich is fired up . This is his chance to get revenge for Dusty . And that’s Tommy’s biggest mistake and his worst enemy . His temper . He gets Kerry out in the floor and takes a chair to his back . The ref has no choice but to DQ Tommy giving Kerry the win . And advancing .

Windy City Pro Wrestling Tag Team Titles Evolution vs Lethal Injection: Awesome and Johnson are owning this match until Awesome gets caught in the corner . Batista and Orton work him over , Orton hits a Hangman’s DDT . Batista hits a Demon Bomb . As Johnson is trying to get there to break up the pin , he gets an RKO , while Batista covers 1.....2....3 !!! Evolution retains !
Round 2
Barry Windham vs Dynamite Kid : Dynamite is pulling out all the stops . He drapes Barry over the top rope at one point then hits a front dropkick knocking him down to the floor . He post Barry’s shoulder and then works a Fujiwara. Barry gets to the ropes . Dynamite continues his beat down on the arm . He has Barry where he wants him . Dynamite comes off the top rope to headbutt the shoulder . Barry moves ! A dazed Dynamite staggers up , Lariat by Barry !!! 1.....2.....3 !!!
Jeff Hardy vs Kerry Von Erich: Jeff uses his speed . Lots of high flying . A baseball slide knocks Kerry from the ring . From there Jeff comes out with a Plauncha , Kerry moves and Jeff hits the floor . Kerry with a Gordbuster on the floor . Kerry rolls in and takes the 10 count victory .
Gordon tells us it will be Barry Windham and Kerry Von Erich in the finals . Then sets the table for HHH vs Kabuki . He explains that if Evolution gets anywhere near the ring HHH automatically loses the title . Other than that’s it’s no count outs and no DQ’s .
Windy City Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Title HHH ( C) vs The Great Kabuki: HHH , plays the game better than anyone . And tonight is no exception . Evolution is nowhere to be found , but Gary Hart is however . He and Dynamite come to ringside . Kabuki is distracted . HHH takes full advantage . After a Kneelift , he hits a bodyslam and then sets Kabuki for the Pedigree . Kabuki though back drops out if it . A spinning heel kick sends HHH into the corner .
Kabuki now chokes him in the corner and then snapmares him out . He works a nerve hold . HHH begins to fade , Dynamite tries to get in , but he’s cut off by Chris Adams !!! Hart hops up on the ring apron and Kabuki just turns and mist him . Now Kabuki puts on the Dragon’s Jaw !!! HHH falls to the corner and slumps down . The ref checks the arm . It falls once . It falls twice ...... He checks again, but HHH has just enough fight to drive a punch into Kabuki’s gut . Then knees him in the nuts !!! Nothing the ref can do . HHH hits the Pedigree and gets the 3 count .
Gordon : And that’s all she wrote . HHH retains the Windy City Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Title. It’s now time for the American Television Title final round .....
Barry Windham along with Sam DeCaro comes out .
Sam : Gordon, Barry had suffered a hairline fracture . Therefore he can’t compete . We have no choice but to award Kerry Von Erich who went all the way through the tourney a bye in this championship round . Kerry is the new American Television Champion.
Kerry comes out and stands in the ring . He takes the house mic .
Kerry : Nope , I’m not going to waste my time standing at the podium . No DeCaro , you bring me my belt up here in the ring the way it should be .
Sam a bit disgruntled walks to the ring with the belt .
Kerry : That’s right bring it up here .
Sam hands Kerry the belt and shakes his hand . He even does the right thing and congratulates him . Kerry grabs Sam by the arm .
Kerry : We’re not done yet . You see some things about this belt are going to be different now that I’m champion . Here are the new rules . 1 . Dusty defended this belt every week on tv . He’s stupid though . I will defend it every 60 days . 2 . Dusty took on all comers , had an open contract . That’s not closed I will pick and choose my opponents . Finally 3 . People should pay to have to see a title match in television. Therefore, I will set up a Go Fund Me Account . If the idiots at home don’t reach my $50,000 minimum , I will extend the 60 days . I’ll have my lawyer have the papers drawn on up and no your desk Monday .
Sam : Shut up !!! Look that belt is meant to be defended on tv every week and all over the American Content. Meaning any IWA affiliate can call and request the champion to be in their show for a title match . We haven’t had the request just yet until now .
Blue Grass Rasslin has requested the belt tonight in their live HBOMAX special . They hit the air at 11pm tonight . So there is a limo waiting to take you to O Hare . There you will be charted by WB’s private jet and land in Louisville and taken to Davis Arena . Good luck champ . Get out of here .

A bloody Bob Backlund is stumbling toward the ring . Sam jumps out and runs to him . Backlund can be heard lightly on the house mic as EMT’s rush to him .
Backlund : Don’t worry about me . Hogan is in bad shape . They jumped us . The Horsemen jumped us .
