WCW Nitro #6 (Hogan/Punk Contract Signing

   








Jim Ross: "Hello wrestling fans and welcome to WCW Nitro as we come into your homes live from Tulsa, Oklahoma. We are less than two weeks away from SuperClash and right here tonight your going to see the contract signing between CM Punk and the IWA World champion, Hulk Hogan! And you can bet that tensions will be high in that one. Speaking of high tension, how about our Main Event? As The Horsemen, Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard will face off against The Radicalz, Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko! All that and much more! But right now its time for our opening contest of the evening."



Match One: Jungle Boy vs MJF

Jungle Boy takes MJF down with a drop toe hold but MJF counters with a wristlock and then a side headlock. Jungle Boy shoves MJF into the ropes but MJF runs him over and then slams him to the mat by his hair. Jungle Boy tries to trip MJF but MJF steps over him and rebounds off the ropes where Jungle Boy cartwheels over MJF and then rolls him up for a nearfall. Jungle Boy and MJF exchange cradles for nearfalls and then get to their feet and stare each other down.

MJF gets pissed and shoves Jungle Boy but Jungle Boy shoves him back causing MJF to hit the mat. MJF offers a handshake and Jungle Boy spits in his hand. Jungle Boy hits a Double Spring Lucha Armdrag followed by a dropkick. MJF chops Jungle Boy in the throat and then puts the boots to him in the corner. MJF drags Jungle Boy to the floor and slams him into the guardrail. Jungle Boy backdrops a MJF and then hits a series of elbows in the corner. Jungle Boy hits a Rebound Lariat off the ropes and then a Tope Suicida to MJF as he rolled to the floor. Jungle Boy hits a second Tope Suicida followed by a Somersault Plancha! Back in the ring, Jungle Boy goes for a Powerbomb but sells his back only to come right back with a Reverse Rana for a nearfall! Jungle Boy goes for a Powerbomb again but the back goes out again. MJF backdrops Jungle Boy and then kicks him in the head as Jungle Boy attempted to headstand on the turnbuckles.

MJF puts Jungle Boy in a Reverse Gory Special but Jungle Boy counters into a rollup, 1.....2... NO!! Jungle Boy kicks a charging MJF and then goes to the top. MJF crotches him. MJF hits a superplex from the top and as they hit the mat, MJF transitions into Salt of The Earth and Jungle has no choice but to tap out!




Gene Okerlund: "Ohhhh my.....yet another victory for our #1 contender to the IWA Cruiser title..... MJF!"




MJF: "You sound surprised! You didnt actually think that fool had a chance did you? See theres a reason hes called Boy. The same reason they call Rey Mysterio an immigrant. I'm feeling extra generous today chrome dome so heres what I'm gonna do..... all you people at home..... do yourselves a favor.... take that stimulus check that you would usually run to your local Wal-Mart and spend and go to your local bookie..... and bet it all on MJF to win the IWA Cruiser title at SuperClash. Because over the weekend, I secured myself a secret weapon to guarantee I walk out of SuperClash the new IWA Cruiser world champion."

Gene Okerlund: "What just a minute here...secret weapon? What do you mean by that MJF? What's up your sleeve?"

MJF: "See Okerlund, that's why it's called a secret. And that's why.... I'm Better than You.... and you know it!"

Trish Stratus & Lita vs The Bella Twins

The Bellas attacked to start. Lita and Trish did Poetry In Motion in the corner. Double baseball slide dropkicks. Lita worked on Nikki and hit a suplex. Running clothesline by Trish on Nikki for a two count. Trish did a Matrix move to duck a clothesline and a Chick Kick gets two. Nikki sent Trish into the ropes, where Bree opens the ropes, which sent Trish out the floor and that gave the Bellas control as they drove Trish back first into the apron. The Bellas worked over Stratus for a couple of minutes. Bree knocked Lita down on the apron and Lita hit the steps. Lita had a busted lip. Nikki gets a backbreaker for two. Stratus came back a bit as she did a snapmare on Nikki and headscissors Bree down at the same time. Nikki went for the legdrop, Trish moved and hot tag to Lita.

Lita with a dropkick on Nikki, monkey flip on Bree into punches. Lita gets a headscissors takeover. Powerbomb by Lita on Nikki. Bree went up top. Stratus into the ring with a the double leg headscissors takedown. Lita hit a reverse Twist of Fate neckbreaker on Bree. Trish knocked out Nikki out of the ring. Lita up top, she hit a moonsault and pinned Bree for the win.



Gene Okerlund: "For the second week in a row the team of Lita and Trish Stratus emerge victorious. Ladies, you are certainly making the Womens tag division a hotbed."




Trish Stratus: "Gene, all around the IWA, the women are making a difference. It's not just a bunch of girls in bikinis anymore. The ladies are showing what they are capable of. And Lita and I are happy to represent in the tag division. And hopefully one day, the IWA will take notice and establish some World tag team titles for this....."


Trish is interrupted by the appearance of..... The Riott Squad!




Ruby Riott: "Pardon the interruption girls, but for once Liv and myself couldn't agree more. Womens tag team wrestling is where it's at. And The Riott Squad second the notion of creating world tag titles."


As Ruby finishes, out comes Anna Jay and Tay Conti to join the party.




Tay Conti: "For the love of God.... could you four get off your knees? How pathetic do you sound out here begging for the IWA go do something that might benefit you? Its embarrassing. And we are embarrassed for you. Like either one of you would have a chance at winning such titles anyway. See girls.... your time has came and gone. It's time for the future to step up. And look no further than Anna Jay and Tay Conti to be the face of the Womens tag division."

Words begin to spew back and forth between all three teams and before you know it a pier six brawl breaks out and all six women fight around ringside until security breaks it up.

Match Three: The Lords of Chaos w/Eddie Gilbert vs John Tatum and Jack Victory w/Missy Hyatt

The LOC just pick Tatum and Victory apart with ease in this one, using their sheer power to put Victory and Tatum away. The LOC hit a spiked piledriver on Victory to get the pinfall. As Gilbert leads the LOC to join Gene Okerlund at the interview area, Missy Hyatt enters the ring screaming at Tatum. After a few seconds of bitching, Missy slaps Tatum and tells him that hes FIRED!!!



Gene Okerlund: "OHHHH MY!! Never a dull moment here on WCW Nitro as it looks like Missy Hyatt has relieved John Tatum of his services."




Eddie Gilbert: "A young, beautiful woman such as herself deserves better Gene Okerlund! Missy, hit me up sometime and let's talk business. I bet we could do great things together."

Gene Okerlund: "That's a topic for another time perhaps. But what I do want to talk about is the $50,000 bounty you have placed on the head of one Jerry Lawler!"

Eddie Gilbert: "Lawler brought this all on himself! I told him if he laid his stinking hands on me again that there would be trouble. So yes.... I placed the bounty on his head. But wait..... it just keeps getting better. Everyone knows that at SuperClash, WCW will be holding a Rumble match to determine the first WCW Heavyweight champion. Well it just so happens that "Hotstuff" Eddie Gilbert has three spots in that match! One for myself and the other two spots for anyone in the entire IWA to come in and take out Jerry Lawler!"

Gene Okerlund: "I'm not sure how you pulled off such a feat Eddie Gilbert, but your telling me that the Rumble will have two spots in it just for a shot at taking out Jerry Lawler?"

Eddie Gilbert: "That's exactly what I'm saying. It could be someone from the NWA, someone from the WWF.....anywhere! And I have $50,000 to the man who gets the job done! Your history at the Rumble, Lawler! I guarantee it!"



***COMMERCIAL BREAK***



We come back from break and see Mean Gene is in the ring . Red carpet is laid out . A table with a chair on either side .


Gene Okerlund : "Oooooo MYYYYYyyy . Folks here we go with the contract signing for the IWA World Heavyweight Title. Here now is the President of IWA Gorilla Monsoon."


The fans erupt as Gorilla gets in the ring .


Gene Okerlund : "They love you big man. Welcome to Nitro."




Gorilla Monsoon: "Thank you Gene . What i have here is a official contract. It is a Hell In A Cell Match for the IWA World Heavyweight Title. The challenger The UWF Heavyweight Champion CM Punk taking on the IWA World Heavyweight Champion Hulk Hogan . And Gene , one more thing , because of the escalating violence of these two men .

Once this contract is signed , they can’t touch each other or be within 100 feet of one another until the match at Superclash . Should Hulk Hogan violate these terms the IWA World Heavyweight Title will be forfeited to CM Punk . Should CM Punk violate these terms his championship match will not only be forfeited , but it will be given to the number two challenger . Gene if you would go ahead and introduce the combatants."

Gene : "Alright Gorilla . Here he is the the UWF Heavyweight Champion..... CM Punk!"


Cult of Personality plays as Punk makes his way to the ring . He doesn’t hesitate . He power walks down and gets it the ring .




Punk : "Cut the music . Listen you to old geezers . If you read my belt correctly , it says UWF World Heavyweight Champion . I expect to be treated as such . I am the real World Heavyweight Champion . This is the original belt . IWA is an indie promotion that grew over night . This belt has been held by the very best"

Gorilla : "Gene we haven’t got all night."

Gene : "Of course Gorilla . Ladies and gentlemen the IWA World Heavyweight Champion. The Incredible Hulk Hogan!!!"




Hogan comes out to Eye of the Tiger . His playing up to the fans is not there . His focus is on Punk . His blue eyes are like daggers of ice .

Hogan gets in the ring and sits in the chair . Punk smiles and he sits.

Gorilla : "Gentlemen, you heard the stipulations . CM Punk anything to say."


Punk : "You are a joke . Your wrestling is a joke . You are nothing more than a cartoon super hero, that kids worship you . You have zero skill and the one time you beat me was a fluke."

Hogan : "Just sign the damn contract already!"

Punk : "Nah , you first champ . This is obviously your show."

Hogan : "Give it to me !!!"


Hogan rips the contract away and signs it , never really taking his eyes off Punk .

He passes it back .

Punk : "Hulk , before I sign this....."

Punk hops over the table and leaps at Hogan !!! Hogan catches him . Punk has the mic though and jams it into Hogan’s head ( THUD !!! )

Hogan goes down . He comes up bleeding . Now Punk goes and grabs a chair . He waffles Hogan as he’s getting up . Bulldog on the chair !!!! Now he hits Hogan in the back with the chair over and over again . The champ is coughing up blood .

Punk goes over and signs the contract . He hands it to Monsoon . He then takes the mic.....


Punk : "Hulk ! Look at me . Don’t just lay there like the broken piece of crap that you are . LOOK AT ME DAMMIT !!!"


Hogan looks up.


Punk : "I’ll see you in hell !!!!"


Punk grabs up the IWA World Heavyweight Title and walks off.

Gene : "That’s not your belt !!! Hey get back here."


Gorilla marches off behind Punk.



***COMMERCIAL BREAK****




Main Event: Chris Benoit & Dean Malenko vs Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard

Arn is embarrassed by Benoits reversals early on and Malenko outfights Tully to start things off. Both sides cheat a lot and Malenko initially gets the hot tag by faking a tag behind the ref’s back, but then still going on a hot tag run. Cool stuff on the outside as both teams throw their opponent to floor for their partner to illegally abuse which leads to all four fighting on the outside to try and stop that. Inside the ring, Tully hits Dean Malenko with the Slingshot Suplex. At the same time, Benoit hits Arn with the diving headbutt. The ref counts both pins, AND AWARDS THE WINNERS OF THE MATCH......DEAN MALENKO AND CHRIS BENOIT!!!



An angry Ric Flair charges the ring and helps the Horsemen work over Benoit and Malenko. But here comes Eddie Gierrero and Perry Saturn! Guerrero backbody drops Flair as Benoit and Malenko fight with Arn and Tully. Guerrero goes up the turnbuckles..... FROG SPLASH TO FLAIR!!! Saturn the grabs Flair..... RINGS OF SATURN!!! Flair is tapping the mat repeatedly as the show fades to black.
