The themesong for the APW Great Australian Bash 2020 is ‘THE HUMAN RADIO’ by Shinedown.



The show opens with shots around Rod Laver Arena of the hot crowd ready for action. We then go to the stage where Eskimo Joe are set to play. They play the following 3 songs:






We then go to Mike Tenay and Krakerjack at ringside who introduce the fans to the show. We then waste no time as we get to the first contest.

UWF Six Man Tag Titles: The Bar of Kings (Sheamus, Cesaro, & Chris Hero) vs The Hart Foundation (Owen Hart, Davey Boy Smith, & Dynamite Kid w/Tyson Kidd)

The Hart Foundation ambush The Bar of Kings before the bell rings and it breaks down into a massive 6 way with bodies flying everywhere. The ref takes a while for order to be restored. The Hart Foundation are able to isolate Cesaro and make quick tags in and out as they cut off the ring. Dynamite goes up top for a diving headbut but Cesaro is able to move at the last second. Cesaro crawls over and tags in Sheamus and Dynamite tags in Davey Boy. Sheamus hits Davey Boy with the Irish Curse backbreaker which brings Owen in to break the fall. Hero races in and takes Owen out as it breaks down into another 6 way. In the ring Davey Boy gets Sheamus up for the running powerslam. Sheamus slips off and pushes Davey Boy into Dynamite Kid and the two crash heads. A Stunned Davey Boy turns around AND THE BROGUE KICK!!!! Its over.

Winners: The Bar of Kings (7:48)

The Bar of Kings take their belts and leave. In the ring Dynamite Kidd takes exception to the clash of heads and tells Davey Boy that it is his fault they lost. The Hart Foundation continue to argue with one another. Owen and Davey Boy leave first while Tyson consults Dynamite Kid in the ring.




APW Juniorweight Title: ‘THE BASTARD’ PAC [c] vs Darby Allin

Darby catches PAC off guard early on with his unique high flying athleticism. This continues until Darby misses a corner splash which PAC counters into a release german suplex dropping Darby in his head. PAC then uses a brutal approach by using a ton of joint manipulation and stretches to twist and contort Darby’s limbs in all ways possible. PAC goes for a deadlift german but Darby counters it into a stunner. Darby begins to mount a comeback. Darby plants PAC with a big piledriver and goes up top for the Coffin Drop. Darby comes off but PAC gets the knees up! PAC then drags Darby to the corner and goes up top himself. PAC goes for the Red Arrow but Darby gets HIS knees up! Darby quickly rolls PAC up in a cradle. 1……2…….3!

The New Age Rage (Elijah Burke & Jay Lethal w/Ali ‘Cali’ Elliot) vs The Revival (Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder)

This one is a tag team clinic. The crowd are right behind the babyfaces in The New Age Rage and don’t want a bar of The Revival in there first APW match. The Revival cut off Lethal and work him over for the heat. Lethal reverses a Shatter Machine attempt into a Lethal Injection on Dash. Lethal then hits a hurricanrana on Dawson and gets the hot tag to Burke! Burke cleans house until the numbers catch up with him. Form here Lethal makes the save and The Rage do exactly just that, rage! They send Dawson to the outside and go for The Rage Killer on Wilder but at this stage Nidia races from the crowd and attacks Ali ‘Cali’ Elliot for the third week in a row!!! The Rage race to the outside and chase Nidia off. Dawson sneaks behind Lethal and pushes him into the ringpost. Burke chases Dawson into the ring but he runs right into the Shatter Machine by The Revival! 1….2….3

Winner: The Revival (15:26)

After the match Nidia embraces The Revival and gives her fellow southerners a hug.




APW Woman’s Title: ‘Impressive’ Indi Hartwell [c] vs AJ Lee

AJ takes Indi off guard and is on her like a little terroir. AJ is relentless until Indi cuts her off with a huge big boot. Indi uses her size and strength advantage to throw AJ around the ring. AJ fights form underneath but Indi keeps cutting her off and letting the crowd know about it. Indi throws AJ into the corner and goes for a running big boot but AJ moves and Indi crotches herself up top! AJ hits a dropkick to the knee taking Indi down. AJ goes up top and hits a big crossbody for 2. AJ goes for a shining wizard but Indi ducks and rolls her up in a school girl for 2. Another big boot by Indi. Indi goes for the Springboard Dropkick but AJ moves and Indi Crashes and burns. AJ comes off the ropes and hits a shining wizard. 1………2………KICKOUT! AJ stalks Indi and goes for the Black Widow but Indi counters into a side slam. Indi crawls to the apron and sets up for the Springboard Dropkick. AJ is up and hits her with an elbow. AJ tries to suplex Indi back in but Indi pokes AJ in the eye unseen to the ref. Indi hangs AJ up on the top rope and nails the Springboard Dropkick. 1……….2……..3

Ravens Rules: Raven vs Terry Funk

This one starts off as a brawl. Funk is all over Raven as they fight around ringside and eventually into the crowd. The two battle backstage and do some spots in the foyer. Eventually the two fight back down the entrance way and back into the ring. Raven goes low with a blatant low blow and goes into his shopping cart full of weapons. Raven pulls out a street sign and smashes it over the head of Funk. Raven then sets up a table at ringside. Raven beats the piss out of Funk with various blunt instruments until Funk finally makes a comeback. Funk grabs a Singapore cane and goes to town on Raven. Funk then goes under the ring and pulls out some lighter fluid! Funk lights the table on the outside on fire!!! Funk gets up on the apron but Raven throws some power into the eyes if Funk! Funk is blinded! Raven comes off the ropes and spears Funk through the flaming table!! Fire marshals put out the blaze. Raven drags a stunned Funk back into the ring and finishes him off with the Raven Effect.

Winner: Raven (22:17)



UWF World Heavyweight Title: John Cena [c] vs Dolph Ziggler (w/Brandi Rhodes)

The APW crowd a very familiar with John Cena as he was a pivotal part in the rise of APW in 2013. The crowd however remember how much of an asshole Cena was back then and is today and thus they get behind Ziggler. Ziggler gets some shots in until Cena is able to hit a huge powerslam for the heat. Cena controls the tempo from there. Cena goes for the STFU but Ziggler rolls through and catches him with a dropkick. Ziggler hits a jumping DDT and makes a comeback as Brandi cheers on. Ziggler hits a big superkick and sets up for the Zig Zag but Cena in a show of strength catches Ziggler in mid air and gets him up for The Boston Massacre. 1…….2……..3

Winner: John Cena (13:20)



Unsanctioned Match: Umaga (w/AAE) vs Chris Bosh

No bell is sounded as this is an unsanctioned match. 10 minutes of air time has been set aside for these two to have a fight. Umaga charges at Bosh who dodges and as a result Umaga slams into the buckle. Bosh throws some rights but Umaga no sells and nails Bosh with a huge headbut. Umaga picks Bosh up and throws him into the corner. Bosh gets a boot to the face of Umaga and pokes him in the eye. LIONCOCK to Umaga! Now Umaga is selling all of a sudden. Bosh goes for a Tornado DDT but Umaga pushes Bosh off. Bosh charges at Umaga but Umaga hits Bosh with a huge Samoan Drop! Umaga drags Bosh to the corner where Umaga nails two running thumps to the head of Bosh. Umaga drags Bosh up and plants him with the Samoan Spike. AAE gets into the ring and counts his own 3 count as Umaga makes the ‘pin’.




Kurt Angle vs MJF

MJF rolls to the outside as soon as the bell ring. MJF plays the chicken shit heel as he runs around the ring away from Angle until Angle finally catches him and suplexes the shit out of him. Angle is enjoying toying with MJF as he finally gets some retribution for MJF costing Kurt the APW Heavyweight Title. Angle goes for a german buck MJF grabs the ref and mule kicks Angle in the groin. MJF quickly hits a snap DDT before the ref can see Angle selling the low blow. MJF is vicious on the assault and nails a heat seeking piledriver right on Angle’s neck. MJF works the neck of Angle while letting the crowd know he is in control. Angle begins to make a comeback after catching MJF in an overhead belly to belly. Angle takes MJF to suplex city and is in total control. Down come the straps as Angle signals for the ankle lock. Angle locks it in but MJF kicks Angle off who collides with the ref! MJF gets up but Angle nails him with the Angle Slam. Angle covers but there is no ref. Angle tries to revive the ref but out from the isle charges a mammoth of a man



ITS WARDLOW!

Wardlow nails Angle with a huge lariat knocking Angle down. Wardlow picks Angle up and delivers a huge press slam to the mat. MJF crawls across Angle. Wardlow exits to the outside as the ref makes a slow count.

Winner: MJF (22:26)

MJF crawls to the outside where Wardlow picks him up and carries him to the back up the isle. The crowd are irate.




Triangular Prison Match – Winners take all the titles. The Inner Circle (Chris Jericho, Gino Hernandez, Chris Adams w/Sammy Guevara) vs The Mighty Don’t Kneel (Nick Miller, Shane Thorn, & Dowie James w/Bill Dundee)

If TMDK win then Gino & Adams tag titles will be awarded to Miller & Thorn and Jericho’s TV title will be awarded to Dowie James. If The Inner Circle win then Dowie James’ APW Australian Title will be handed to Chris Jericho who has promised to throw the title in the trash if he wins – the ultimate insult to an Australian wrestler.

The Triangular Prison cage is lowered over both teams with Sammy Guevara and Bill Dundee locked on the outside not allowed in. The rules are simple: First person to gain a pinfall or submission wins the match for their team.

This one is a war from the start. Both factions give it everything they have got with the crowd desperately behind TMDK. When TMDK are on top Sammy Guevara tries to break into the cage using bolt cutters. Bill Dundee cuts him off and hits him with a big right hand and throws him into the side of the cage. Miller and Thorn take Gino and Adams to the outside in between the ring and the cage which leaves Jericho in the ring with Dowie. Dowie goes for his rolling cutter but Jericho counters with a codebreaker. Jericho sets up for the Judas effect but Dowie ducks! Dowie hits his own Roaring Elbow and nails Jericho with the Dowee River Plunge (Tiger Driver) Dowie quickly goes up top and hits the Frog Splash! 1………2………..3!!!!

Winners and NEW APW TAG TEAM AND TELEVISION CHAMPIONS: TMDK & DOWIE JAMES (32:17)


The cage is risen as a bloody TMDK celebrate with Bill Dundee and the fans as the Aussie TMDK faction walk out of the Bash with all their titles and the Australian Title still in tact.




APW Heavyweight Title: Shelton Benjamin [c] (w/Chael Sonnen) vs Daniel Bryan

Big match feel about this one as the new UWF Juniorweight Champion and fan favourite Daniel Bryan finally gets his rematch for the title after being screwed out of it back at the Royal Rumble by CM Punk back in February. This one starts off as a chain wrestling clinic with neither man coming out on top. Bryan ups the pace with some strikes and gives Shelton a running knee sending him through the ropes. Bryan follows up with a suicide dive! Bryan sends Shelton back in the ring and methodically works the arm.

This continues until Bryan misses a roundhouse which Shelton counters into a hair pull backbreaker. The head of Bryan whips off the knee and you can see the neck snap back. Shelton follows up with a neckbreaker as Bryan looks to be in pain.

Shelton continues to control the match slowing it right down while Chael lets the crowd know how great he is. Shelton whips Bryan into the corner and goes for a stinger splash. Bryan moves and Shelton eats the turnbuckle. Bryan comes off the ropes with a flying lariat. From here Bryan makes his comeback with the crowd riding on every move. Bryan goes for the Yes Lock but Shelton rolls through and nails Bryan with the dragon whip! Shelton pins. 1…..2…kickout!

Shelton picks Bryan up and goes for the T-Bone but Bryan elbows out. Bryan comes off the ropes and nails a huge running knee! 1………2……..kickout! Bryan goes up top looking for the diving headbut but Shelton like a cat jumps up and leaps to the top rope and drags Bryan off with a huge top rope arm drag!!! Shelton crawls over to pin. 1………2………kickout!

A frustrated Shelton stalks Bryan for the paydirt. Shelton goes for it but Bryan pushes him off and nails a huge roundhouse! Shelton is stunned! Bryan grabs the arm and goes for the Yes Lock. He takes Shelton down and locks it in!!!!!

Shelton screams in pain as he fights for the ropes. Chael is on the outside freaking out. All of a sudden down comes Jask Swagger. Swagger tries to get involved but the ref tries to push him out of the ring. This allows Chael to enter the ring and stomp Bryan in the head breaking the hold.

The ref ejects Swagger from the ring and turns around to see both men down. The ref counts to 9 before both men get up and PAYDIRT OUT OF NOWHERE!!!!

1…………..2…………..

BRYAN KICKS OUT!!!!

Shelton can not believe it! He was playing possum again but it did not work! Shelton looks Chael for answers. Chael grabs a chair and slides it in the ring as he gets on the apron to distract the ref. Shelton grabs the chair and BRYAN KICKS THE CHAIR BACK INTO SHELTONS FACE!!!

Bryan grabs the ref and tells him to make the count.

1………….2………..SHELTON KICKS OUT!!!

Chael is still on the apron talking shit. Bryan goes over and gets in the face of Chael. Bryan goes to punch but Chael jumps off the apron. From behind Shelton rolls up Bryan with a handful of tights.

1………..2……….

Bryan floats over and locks in the YES LOCK!!!

Bryan has it locked in and wrenches back on the neck!!! Shelton has nowhere to go.

SHELTON TAPS OUT!!!!

Winner and NEW APW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: Daniel Bryan (33:19)

The bell rings as the ref hands Bryan his new APW title. Bryan collapses in a heap as streamers and confetti fall from the sky. Daniel Bryan is now the APW Heavyweight champion and the UWF Juniorweight champion and the crowd could not be happier!!!!

Really not happy to see the Harts go down in 7 minutes
