UWF Presents: The Great American Bash

The cameras go live and pan across the jam packed Sooner Stadium and then the fans erupt as the pride of Oklahoma.......




The OU Marching band comes out playing "Boomer Sooner" and out comes good ole Jim Ross to a thunderous ovation!













   Jim Ross: "Hello wrestling fans..... and welcome to the Great American Bash! Before we go any further,  I just have to do this.......  BOOMER SOONER!!!!! DAMN ITS GOOD TO BE HOME! We are coming to you live from Norman Oklahoma, home of the fighting Sooners! And when ya talk about the Sooners, ya instantly think of my guest at this time....... "Dr. Death" Steve Williams! Doc, good to see you my friend!            




 Dr. Death: "Its good to ne here JR! I have a lot of history on this field...... lots of good memories!"            

Jim Ross: "The last time we seen you, you was going toe to toe with the world champion..... the Undertaker in one helluva Slobberknocker!"            

  Dr. Death: "We had a war for sure and my hats off to him. Probably the toughest guy I've been in the ring with. Hopefully some day, we can get in there together and do it again!"          



The fans quickly start booing as we see Stan "The Lariat" Hansen make his way to ringside.......





 Stan Hansen: "REMATCH? REMATCH?  Why would you want a stinkin rematch for..... you couldn't beat the man the first time! Here's a thought..... instead of coming out here playing kiss ass with all these stupid Okies, why don't you put that UWF TV title on the line for a change?"            

  Dr. Death: "Listen up Hansen, I'm kot a hard man to find. Anytime you wanna fight, you just let me know! JR..... it was a pleasure seeing you, but I think the time has came for me to go before I do something I may regret!"              

Stan Hansen: "Look at him! Running away like a coward! Go on then......get outta here ya big piece of Oklahoma chicken shit!"                


Doc stops dead in his tracks as the fans are going livid. Doc slides in the ring and hands the UWF TV Titke to the raf and motions for Hansen to come get some! The ref nods his head that this is now sanctioned, and we have us an impromptu match to kick off the Bash!




 "Dr. Death" Steve Williams vs Stan "The Lariat" Hansen for the UWF TV Title                  

This started as a hot brawl as Jom Ross states on commentary how ironic this is, having Oklahoma vs Texas! They briefly fought on the floor, but they ended up back in the ring soon enough. Hansen went after Williams’ left arm. Williams put a stop to Hansen’s momentum by sending him into a ringpost. Williams was then in control for a few minutes. Hansen was busted open, and Williams had all of the momentum. Hansen fought back and hit a running knee. Williams cut him right off though. Hansen seemed so punch-drunk.  Hanson caught Williams with a big boot and then hit a desperation shoulder tackle. Williams cut him right off again. Hansen avoided a piledriver on the floor to save the match. Hansen was a bloody mess at this point and still seemed punch-drunk. Hansen avoided the Oklahoma Stampede on the floor and send Doc face first into the steel post. Hansen then crawled back into the ring. He called for the lariat. He went for it, but Williams ducked. Hansen crashed to the floor. Hansen ate the first part of the Oklahoma Stampede, avoided the second turnbuckle shot, and then hit Williams with the lariat: 1…2…3!!! And your NEWWWWW UWF TV CHAMPION........ STAN HANSEN!!!!






Jim Ross: "Dammitt!! Dammitt all to hell! Fans, I know I'm supposed to be impartial,  but I'm not making excuses for him either, but if you ask me, there's no way Doc was at 100% after that recent war with The Undertaker! But he's a man's, man..... and he won't back down from anyone! I'll give it to Hansen..... he's as tough as a two dollar steak. And he may have one upped Doc here tonight. But when these two lock up again, I damned sure wanna be there!"            





Match Two: Hakushi vs Brian Pillman                

Ross informs the people that we are going to get back to the scheduled program with the match that was supposed to open up the event. They circle one another, Hakushi offers a handshake and Pillman wants none of that. Wristlock from Pillman which Hakushi flips out of into his own wristlock. Pillman grabs a side headlock, shoulder block by Pillman. Leapfrogs by both men and a stand-off with a dropkick, crowd appreciates that. Drop toehold into a Fujiwara arm-bar by Hakushi hammerlock from Pillman and Pillman pulls on the jaw. Hakushi clubs down Pillman, whip to the opposite buckle and Pillman lands a corner head-scissors, baseball slide from Pillman. Hakushi rethinks his strategy, we reset. Takedown into a leg-lock from Hakushi  but Pillman kicks him with his other leg. Chops from Pillman, whip to the opposite buckle but Hakushi bounces over Pillman and lands a moonsault for two. Dropkick with Pillman on the floor and a fake-dive from Hakushi lights up the crowd.

Snap-mare into a modified abdominal stretch from Hakushi, head-scissors from Pillman but Hakushi turns over and rolls out looking for a Romero Special. Pillman scrambles to the ropes to escape, Hakushi whips Pillman to the corner. Whip to the opposite buckle and a dropkick from Hakushi, crucifix from Pillman for two. Hakushi escapes the scoop slam and sunset flips Pillman for two. Pillman folds up Hakushi with a belly to back suplex for two. Chop from Pillman, whip to the buckle but Hakushi dodges the monkey flip/knee attempt. Hakushi begins going after the leg with snaps and kicks to the leg. Shin-breaker then a figure four from Hakushi. Pillman sets up and slaps Hakushi while in the hold, Hakushi continues with the pressure. Pillman manages to reverse the hold and both men reach the ropes.

Pillman elbows Hakushi in the ribs. Hakushi goes after the leg. Single leg Boston crab, whip to the ropes and head-scissors from Pillman but Hakushi back-drops Pillman to the floor, senton from the top rope to the floor wipes out Hakushi. Pillman reverses  and lands Air Pillman, Pillman wants a suplex to the floor and it connects, Pillman is ready to dive onto Hakushi. Diving Crossbody to the floor from Pillman, chops on the floor by Pillman. Pillman tries a running apron splash but Hakushi dodges and Pillman smashes into the guardrail. Hakushi climbs high, the crossbody is countered with a dropkick by Hakushi. Pillman is up high and both men try dropkicks and crash to the mat, both try spinning heel kicks and wipe-out. Powerslam from Pillman for two, German suplex by Hakushi for two and a half.

Hakushi is up to his feet first, and  is looking for a big move off the top rope. Could we have a top rope brainbuster, Pillman counters and drops Hakushi to the mat face-first. Diving Crossbody but Hakushi manages to kick out of the crossbody, what does Pillman have left inside to finish off Hakushi? Pillman ducks his head off an Irish whip, Hakushi counters with a powerbomb for a close two. Liger-Bomb is countered into a hurricanrana with a pin, two for Pillman. Knee by Hakushi.  He ducks his head off the Irish whip and Pillman plants him with a DDT. Both men duck clotheslines and bang heads hard, Pillman is up top and Hakushi crotches Pillman and plants him with a superplex for two. Hakushi is up high, diving headbutt misses and Pillman rolls up Hakushi with a pin while holding Hakushis tights fir added leverage for the win!  








Jim Ross: "Fans we had a great battle going there until Pillman had to taint it by using the tights to get that pinfall. I'm not sure what's gotten into that kid, but his new attitude and the way he does things isn't the Brian Pillman that I know."              





 Match Three: Koko B. Ware vs Powerhouse Hobbs                

Ross states on commentary that this match is the debut for both men here in the UWF. Hobbs is amused by the antics of Koko trying to wrestle him, then tosses him aside. Clothesline from Hobbs. Hobbs puts Ware on the top rope and unloads with clubbing blows to the chest. Delayed vertical suplex, then Hobbs just lets go and drops Koko to the mat. Koko fights out of the corner with some strikes, then jumps but he’s caught in mid air into a spinebuster from Hobbs and that’ll do it. Hobbs is your winner.








  Jim Ross: "Fans we all know that Koko B. Ware is a great athlete! But Hobbs just went through him like a hot knife through butter! This kid is a Blue chipper!"                





Match Four: Mr. Perfect vs Big Bubba Rogers w/Jim Cornette                

Perfect behind-the-backs his towel over to Bubba, who throws it back, and back-and-forth it goes for a moment. After the towel is thrown away, Perfect spits his gum at Bubba who pauses and hocks a loog right in Hennig’s face. Perfect slaps Bubba then runs away, but Bubba follows him out, and slaps Hennig in the face, for which Hennig does his 360 jumping sell.

Back in the ring, Bubba spins Perfect around by his hair and hurls him across the ring. Right hand, uppercut, whip to the corner is reversed by Perfect, but he slides out of the ring and back in around the other side, finishing up with a running clothesline. He’s in total control, and tosses Perfect out to the floor, where Cornette looks for an opening to hot Perfect with his tennis racket.

Right hand, right hand, right hand from Bubba, but he misses a charge in the corner and Hennig takes over with shots to the back and a HARD chop in the corner. Bubba reverses an Irish whip to the corner and Perfect bounces off the turnbuckles like he hit springs. Bubba with the running rope-assisted  sit down across Perfects back.

Bubba takes his belt off, while Cornette distracts the ref. Bubba whipping Perfect with the belt. Perfect gets the belt after the referee takes it away, and wraps it around his fist for a couple shots on Bubba.

Perfect rips Bubba with a chop, who fires back with overhand rights. These two are laying the shots in. Bubba hits the corner hard on a whip this time, and Hennig uses a modified chinlock and some leverage from the ropes for a moment.

Perfect works an abdominal stretch. Perfect lets the hold go, and hits a dropkick for two. Another vicious chop from Hennig, another hard right from Bubba. Hennig winning the slugfest, and hits Bubba with the rolling neck snap. Perfect sets for the Perfectplex, but he can’t get Bubba over, who blocks with his leg and cradles Hennig for two. Perfect busts out the neck snap again, this time with Bubba facing the “wrong” way. Hennig up top, and he jumps down into a straight up boot from Bubba.

Bubba shaking Perfect’s head, then a series of punches to the stomach, followed by an uppercut that sends Hennig to the floor. Bubba stalks  but Perfect comes from behind and sends Bubba crashing into the ring steps.

Cornette tries to clobber Perfect again, but Perfect grabs him, but The Midnight Express makes their way to ringside to come to Cornettes aid. Perfect exposes the steel under the top turnbuckle. And Bubba comes charging in with a splash on Perfect,  but Bubbas momentum sent him head first into the exposed turnbuckle as well.

So both men are down. Perfect is the first to come to, but he’s struggling to reach his feet. Bubba is dead out! Perfect covers and gets two as Cornette puts Bubbas foot on the rope.  The crowd erupts as we see........







THE STEINER BROTHERS!!!



Rick and Scott unloads on the Express with Steiner-lines! The Express and Cornette high tail ot to the back with the Steiners chasing them. Perfect pulls Bubba up in the ring...... PERFECTPLEX! 1......2.......3!









  Jim Ross: "I don't think anyone expected The Steiners to be here tonight..... let alone come out to assist Mr. Perfect! But it just happened. But right now, I understand that we have some breaking news from the owner of the UWF..... "Cowboy" Bill Watts!  






 Bill Watts: "I do Jim..... and I wish I could say it is good news. But it isn't. Just hours before going live tonight, we learned that The Great Muta is in Japan and obviously will not be here tonight to defend the UWF Heavyweight title! And to further matters...... he may never be here again! Now I believe legal matters shouldn't be present in the world of pro wrestling! Muta doesn't want to compete here in America...... as far as I'm concerned he can keep his ass at home! Which brings me to the UWF Heavyweight title! We promised these fans in attendance tonight a UWF Heavyweight title match. And their gonna get just that. Because right now we are going to have a 10 man battle royal. The winner of that match will be the new UWF Heavyweight champion!"      




 Battle Royal to determine the new UWF Champion featuring Kamala, Terry Taylor, Cactus Jack, Kerry Von Erich, Shane Douglas, Mr. Perfect,  Harley Race, Terry Funk, Barry Windham and Dustin Rhodes        


This is your typical battle royal with lots of action and bodies flying everywhere.  The rivalry between Race, Funk, Windham and Dustin continues as they fight all throughout the match resulting in all 4 men eliminating each other. Kamala goes on a tear throwing everyone he can get his hands on out of the ring and it comes down to the final two men....... Kamala and Kerry Von Erich!  Akbar shouts demand to Kamala who works Kerry over with Thunderous chops. Kamala tries to pin Kerry but we all know that doesn't fly in a battle royal. Kamala confused, stand up thinking he has won regardless. Akbar tries explaining to Kamala but Kerry dropkicks Kamala from behind, sending the Ugandan Giant over the ropes and to the floor. Your winner...... AND NEWWWWWW UWF HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION....... KERRY VON ERICH!!!!






The cameras pan backstage where wee see Bill Apter,  who is here on assignment. Apter walks up to Gary Harys dressing room door and knocks on it.......



  Bill Apter: "Gary Hart, big news earlier from Bill Watts about your client, The Great Muta! And just seconds ago, a new UWF Heavyweight champion has been crowned in Kerry Von Erich! Can we get a statement from you about this entire situation?"          




 Gary Hart: "Its quite obvious..... Bill Watts always has been, and always will be a control freak. The way he plays to his favorites like Dr. Death, Jim Duggan and Kerry Von Erich! Bill Watts..... you may have struck first tonight...... but stick around...... I promise to have the last laugh. You want a war...... you got it!"              




 Match Six: Hacksaw Jim Duggan & Hacksaw Butch Reed vs The Killer Elite Squad w/Skandar Akbar              

This one here...... this isn't anything more than a pier six brawl as soon as all 4 men are in the ring. And as it goes on, it doesn't take much longer before all 4 men are bleeding too. The action spills out of the ring and the ref just never gets control...... calling for the bell ruling this bout a no contest!




Main Event: Jimmy Snuka vs Arn Anderson vs Chris Adams for the NWA World tv title              

The introductions are made and the bell rings. Snuka and Adams double team Arn. Double back body drop to The Enforcer.  Adams clotheslines Arn to the floor, then Adams and Snuka chop one another in the corner. Neckbreaker by Adams on Snuka.  Adams attacks the incoming Anderson, right hands by Adams. High knee by Arn then Anderson osses Snuka to the floor. Adams lands an inverted atomic drop on Anderson then right hands decks Arn. Anderson tries for a spine buster....... Adams  escapes and both Adams & Arn knock Snuka to the floor. Snuka recovers for German suplexes on Adams and Arn. Snuka chops both, back body drop on Arn.

Adams chops Snula in the corner. Snuka  throws Adams to the floor. Arn attempts a double axe handle, but Snuka catches Arn in a sleeperhold. Adams interrupts so Snuka  takes him out on the floor. Arn stops Snuka  who is on the top rope.  Anderson had Snuka for a superplex before Adams smacks Arn in the back. Snuka crashes to the floor. Electric chair drop by Adams on Arn for two. Adams  chops Anderson. Arn turns the tide with a ghordbuster. Snuka delivers a Diving Headbutt to Adams but Arn makes the save. Adams forearms Snuka. Adams hits the referee with a flying forearm by mistake. After a few seconds the crowd begins to buzz as we see Gary Hart make his way to ringside.





Adsms is knocked to the outside. Snuka blocks a DDT attempt for an attempted Boston Crab. Adams tries to break it up.  Adams applies the sleeper to Snuka while Snuka still has the Boston Crab on Arn! Snuka has to release the hold. Adams turns his attention to Arn and Anderson is floored with a right hand. Adams chops Snuka then a scoop slam is countered by Snuka for a Crossface. Adams is going to tap but Arn saves the match. Snuka eats a DDT from Arn, two for The Enforcer. Arn stomps Snuks viciously in the corner, as the cameras showing Gary Hart with a smile on his face. Snuka fires up with chops and right hands. Arn tumbles to the floor. Adsms blocks a German suplex from Snuka then a  clothesline by Adams for two.

Adamst osses Snuka to the floor. Snuka and Arn stand dazed on the floor, Adams attempts a dive from the top rope. Snuka & Arn dodge which leaves Adams to crash through the announce table. Arn rams Snuka  into the ringpost and the steel steps. Arn  mounts Snuka and pummels the champion as once again, Gary Hart is shown smiling at what Arn is doing. Snuka is thrown shoulder first into the ringpost. Arn does it again as Snuka holds his shoulder on the floor. Ten punches by The Enforcee in the corner., Snuka counters as Arn tastes the top turnbuckle from a flapjack by the champion. Facebuster off an Irish whip by Snuka. Anderson misses a clothesline and the German suplexes begin.

Snuka misses The Diving Headbutt. Spinebuster by Arn who  cannot capitalize immediately. Arn slowly drapes an arm and the ref counts, 1.......2.......Hart jumps up from his seat excitement........ but Adams makes the save. Arn knocks down Adams over and over but Adams will not stay down. Flying forearm by Adams......, kip-up from Adams...... Scoop slam and huge elbow drop. Adams goes to the corner for hos Superkick! Snuka is on the apron...... Adams takes Snukas head off.  Low blow by Arn......, all three men are down and Gary Hart can be heard yelling "NOW! NOWS YOUR CHANCE! GET UP!"  Anderson crawling for the cover, 1........2....... Adams kicks out at two. DDT is countered as Anderson is elevated over the top rope and down to the floor. Adams is in the corner again...... he wants the Superkick! Gary Hart climbs up on the apron. Adams hesitates and looks Hart over then.......smiles at Hart????? ADAMS THEN NAILS SNUKA WITH THE SUPERKICK!!!! 1.......2........3!!!! AND YOUR NEWWWWW UWF WORLD TV CHAMPION........ CHRIS ADAMS!!!!





The ref  goes to hand Adams the world tv title but Gary Hart rips it away from the ref! Adams stares Hart down, walking up on him...... then he hugs Hart!!! Adams and Hart begin laughing together as Hart gives Adams the world tv title! Adams walks to the ropes and looksdown at Arn still on the floor and says "Now that's how you play chess!"





Adams and Hart leave the ring together as the live capacity audience looks on in shock as show fades to black!
