Tag Team Champions: Sadist Colony
Women's Champion: Io Shirai
With your hosts Kevin Kelly & Professor Toru Tanaka.
(Show opens with the Young Lion Match of the Week where we feature some of the young guys coming up in the company.)
YOUNG LION MATCH
Chase Owens vs Hajime Ohara (0-1)
.....VS.....
Owens spent some time in Next Generation a while back but now he's here in Japan trying to make a mark. They have a physical match. Ohara gets a near fall with a Northern Lights Suplex. Owens catches Ohara with Chasing Glory (Fireman's carry gutbuster). Then looks for CO2 (Slingshot double knee facebreaker) but Ohara dropkicks him mid air to the floor. Owens seems to have tweakled his knee in the fall. The Match continues for a bit before Ohara gets him in the Ohara Lock (Single leg Boston Crab with armlock). Owens taps.
Winner: Hajime Ohara (1-1)
Kelly: Hello everyone, I'm Kevin Kelly and this is Rising Sun Wrestling. I am here with my broadcast partner, The Professor, Toru Tanaka. Toru in this weeks Young Lions match we saw Hajime Ohara get his 1st victory here over newcomer Chase Owens.
Toru: Hai. Ohara-san has been working in the Dojo of Tatsumi Fujinami and you can already see the improvement here.
Kelly: That's what the Young Lions division is all about. Watching these young men hone their craft. And that goes for the Women as well because at Sunrise we saw HZK come up in a big way against veteran Yumi Ohka.
Toru: Yes Kagetsu has formed this group Onna-Musha which so far is her and Ohka but she says there will be more.
Kelly: Will we see more at the Wrestlemania Week Special Show when Onna-Musha face off against HZK and the Women's Champion, Io Shirai? Speaking of Io. She was succesful in her title defense against Candy Cartwright. Let's take a look at how that ended. Then we will hear from Onna-Musha
(Highlights are shown of the Io Shirai - Candy Cartwright match in which Io was victorious.
Kagetsu: Io & HZK are such good little friends. How cute. But cute doesn't get it done in this business. Onna-Musha is about today's female warriors. And unlike other groups we just don't let anyone in. You must be vetted and make us positive you have what it takes to be a part of ths group. And if you are wondering just what that means then watch me and Ohka take apart the so-called Champ and her BFF.
Kelly: Professor, Kagetsu is an angry woman.
Toru: Is she? Or is she just a driven one. I for one cannot speak against her mind set. This business we are in is not for the weak. And She is definitely not that at all.
Kelly: She certainly isnt. Another man who is not weak is one Minoru Suzuki who showed that when he defeated CIMA at Sunrise.
Toru: Hai! CIMA to be honest gave a much better showing than I had anticipated. But in the end Suzuki-san showed why he is one of the most feared men in all of Japan and the leader of Suzuki-gun.
Kelly: True words, Toru. Let's take a look at scenes from that match then we will hear from Minoru and about the big matchup they will have at the Wrestlemania Week Show against. Speed Muscle & CIMA.
(Highlights from Suzuki's victory over CIMA are shown)
Suzuki: So CIMA... You didn't get enough last time we faced each other? Now yu want to bring your friends to get beat up as well? Fine with us. Beating people up is what Suzuki-gun does best. Now we got to New Orleans to do this. Where the World can see just what the most feared group in all of wrestling can do when you let a deer loose among the lions.
Kelly: Suzuki-gun have built quite the reputation in the UWF. Now they look to further that on April 2nd.
Toru: The reputation is well deserved.
Kelly: Well another reputation being built is by the Sadist Colony who once again came out on top as they retained the RSW Tag Team Championship at Sunrise.
Toru: This group led by Mio Shirai has been dominant here. Not sure who can put an end to that.
Kelly: Well right now in our spotlight Match of the night. we have Larry Sweeney's Eliminators in action. Let's go to the ring.
SPOTLIGHT MATCH
Stalker Ichikawa & Kenichiro Arai VS The Eliminators (1-0) w/Larry Sweeney
....VS....
This is a total squash. Saturn hits Arai with an overhead Belly to Belly Suplex. Kronus hit a number of Martial Art strikes. Including a jumping back kick. Finally they take out Ishikawa with Total Elimination.
Winners: The Eliminators (2-0)
(After the match Mao interviews Larry Sweeney in the ring.)
Mao: Your Eliminators looking very impressive tonight.
Sweeney: Tonight and every night. And it will continue until we go through everyone here in RSW and get those Tag Team Titles that we were kept from. So anyone who dares to get in the ring with my Eliminators will wind up like these 2 jobbers lying there or those 2 young punks we beat up last show.
Mao: Well you are certainly making quite a few enemies here in a very short time.
Sweeney: Like we care! Listen girlie. We do what we want. When we want. And if anyone doesn't like it, we aint hard to find!.
(Then running into the ring are two men dressed in flashy gear who start attacking The Eliminators. They double dropkick Kronus over the rope. Then give Saturn a Flapjack / Complete Shot combination. Sweeney high tails it out the ring and we see the men turn to the camera. Mao then runs back in with a microphone.
Mao: Sho Tanaka... Yohei Komatsu! What is happening here?
Sho: I will tell you what's happening. Me and Yoh have had enough of being disrespected here in RSW. So now you see the birth of Roppongi 3K. And at the Wrestlemania Weekend Show we challenge the Eliminators to a match. This time let's see how you do when we are ready for you!
Mao: The challenge has been made. I'm sure Antonio Inoki is listening! Ladies and Gentlemen. This is ROPPONGI 3K!
Toru: Beware making challenges and beware making enemies. The Eliminators did both.
Kelly: They really did put their foot in their mouth. Tanaka and Komatsu have been itching for a shot for retribution. Tonight was just a taste.
Toru: Hai. Here in RSW grudges run deep.
Kelly: Well speaking of grudges the one with KENTA and Mike Bennett came to a close at Sunrise. Let's take a look at that and then we have word about a special challenge Main Event for that April 2nd show.
Highlights are shown of KENTA's big win over Bennett and then we see scenes of Hirooki Goto earlier in the night in a confrontation with Maria Kanellis.
Bennett: Goto... you HAVE to be either the bravest or dumbest man in all of Japan...
Maria: Definitely the dumbest...
Bennett: Who do you think you are putting your hands on my wife?! The Queen of RSW and the Queen of the wrestling business. On April 2nd you face something new. Not Mike Bennett, the amazing wrestler but Mike Bennett the amazing husband. You talk about your Sanurai code of honor or whatever. How much honor was it grabbing on my wife?
Maria: Honor my ass... He just wants what he can't have.
Bennett: Well he can have something else instead. A Royal ass-kicking, courtesy of The Kingdom!
Kelly: It's time for our Main Event but first I want to point out one more match for our New Orleans Show. And that stems from what happened at Sunrise between Daisuke Sekimoto & YAMATO. Let's see that again and then hear from Sekimoto.
(A replay of the confrontation and then attack on Sekimoto by YAMATO is shown.)
Sekimoto: You called me a whiny child but then your actions were nothing more than of some punk kid. Here's the thing... I'm not angry... I'm not. You see I've wrestled in the states before. You haven't. Those people know me and what I can do. For you this will be the first time they see you and the image that they will associate with you is me pounding you into ground meat ans leaving you lying in the ring the same way you left me. So... Thanks....
Toru: I think YAMATO-san may have awakened a beast.
Kelly: The only thing that matches his power is his drive. Put those 2 together and YAMATO could be in for a long night on April 2nd.
Toru: This is a chance to really bring himself into the spotlight. I have said before, this young man will be a star. All he needs is time.
Kelly: Well speaking of time. It's the "Time Bomb" Kamaitachi in our Main Event against one half of Speed Muscle, Masato Yoshino.
MAIN EVENT: Kamaitachi (0-1) w/ Mio Shirai VS Masato Yoshino
.....VS.....
This features 2 of the smaller competitors in RSW. With Yoshino being arguably the fastest. This leads to a very quick paced, exciting battle that the fans really enjoyed. Of course with Kamaitachi being a member of The Sadist Colony means the majority of this crowd is behind Yoshino. But that kind of thing only adds fuel to his fire. Masato grabs Kamaitachi from behind and tries to get him in a reverse Sunset but Kamaitachi hooks the ropes. So Yoshino rolls through, pops back up and nails a dropkick sending his opponent to the floor. Baseball Slide by Yoshino finds a home then he catches him with a Somersault Senton Plancha to the outside.
The fight continues with Kamaitachi getting the advantage after catching him with a Sunset Flip Powerbomb from the ring apron. H e hits a Death Valley Driver into the turnbuckle and covers for 2. He goes for a Senton Splash but misses. Basement dropkick to the face by Yoshino. Then a Basement DDT to a kneeling Kamaitachi. 1.. 2..
No! Yoshino goes up for a Missile dropkick but Kamaitachi side steps it amd lands a knee to the jaw. He scoops him up... Time Bomb (Fireman's carry swung into a high-angle sitout side powerslam)! 1.. 2.. 3!
Winner: Kamaitachi (1-1)
Kelly: Kamaitachi earns a hard fought win here tonight, Professor..
Toru: Indeed. The man is a bit of a loose cannon but there is no denying his ability.
Kelly: There is also no denying that Wrestlemania is coming. And RSW will have a special Show coming to you from New Orleans, LA on April 2nd. For the Professor Toru Tanaka, I'm Kevin Kelly... Arigato & Oyasumi.
