From there we go to Atlas Champion Finn Balor, who discusses the World Cup as well as his impending title defense against Keith Lee .... Balor puts over Keith Lee as being a star on the rise, but Balor is the big fish in Progress .... Lee will get his shot, but when he comes for Finn, he  better not miss .... he better be ready to go to deep waters .... Balor runs down his accomplishments: first ever and 2 time Atlas Champion, 2 time Junior Heavyweight Champion, longest reigning Junior champion in history .... Now he controls the narrative .... he is the guy on the Progress roster most deserving of a shot at the UWF World Heavyweight title, and he’s going to get it when he wins the Cup ....


Up next, Genesis champion Drew McIntyre comes out and talks about Jacob Fatu attacking him last week .... He calls out Fatu for a fight, but instead he gets MVP .... MVP says Fatu isn’t here tonight, but McIntyre wanted to be the hero and defend William Regal and stuck his nose in their business .... he wanted to be the hero and fight Fatu and he got carried out like everyone else ....

WALTER comes out and gets nose to nose with MVP .... without Fatu here, MVP backs off .... WALTER continues on to the ring and confronts McIntyre, saying they weren’t allowed to finish their contest last week and he wants another shot .... McIntyre accepts, but says this time they will do it inside a steel cage!!!! .... The camera pans to MVP, who is smiling for some reason ....


Footage is shown of Shawn Michaels‘ surprise announcement as signing with Progress and being a part of the 2020 World Cup .... HBK will be on hand on the next chapter of Progress TV ....




Progress Tag Team Titles:
(Champions) Grizzled Young Veterans ~ Zack Gibson & James Drake (GREAT BRITAIN)

Roderick Strong (USA) & Kyle O’Reilley (CANADA)

Strong & O’Reilley dominate the early going and these guys are just a Machine .... The Vets are methodical, looking for any opening and exploiting it .... things break down into a brawl, and the Vets take out O’Reilley with ‘Making Towns’ (suicide dive doomsday device to the outside) .... O’Reilley is out, and Strong has to fight both guys on his own .... Strong runs wild and there lots of hope spots where Strong nearly wins the titles on his own .... However, the numbers game catches up to Strong, and the Vets hit Grit Ya Teeth followed by the Ticket to Mayhem and that’s all she wrote .... The Vets retain, and Strong & O’Reilley fail in their last chance at the titles

POST MATCH: the fans applaud Strongs effort, and O’Reilley is able to join Strong in the ring and they hug .... Both guys are obviously disappointed at the result, BUT O’REILLEY TURNS AND ATTACKS STRONG!!!!  O’Reilley destroys Strong, attacking him with the ring steps and then laying him out with a brainbuster onto the ring steps!  The fans are in shock as the 2 time Progress tag team champions have imploded here!!!!
