Progress: United Kingdom #347 - ‘First Blood’

*** The arena has a studio wrestling setup, and we start out at the announce desk with new announcer Vic Joseph and Pat McAfee to kick off the show .... They talk about how in Progress UK, the emphasis is more on the competition and the combatants fighting spirit rather than the characters, and things are settled in the ring .... There has been BIG news in Progress, and they start out by welcoming BRAND NEW UWF Junior Heavyweight champion, ‘The Villain’ Marty Scurll to the set .... The dual Atlas & UWF Junior Heavyweight Champion will be here tonight .... ***


Imperium come to the podium .... WALTER talks about what they did to American Alpha last show and says that Imperium is not here to entertain, they are here to protect this mat because it is sacred and they are here to save us .... He calls it an outrage to have a man like Jack Swagger as the United Kingdom Champion and Imperium showed last show that they are the ones who are superior ....

Jason Jordan shows up and he’s the only member of American Alpha here tonight because of the attack from last week .... Jordan is ready to take on all of Imperium by himself .... Instead, WALTER sends everyone to the back and will fight Jordan alone ....

Jordan has a great showing here, fueled by emotion as he takes the fight to WALTER .... WALTER eventually starts to dominate, then hits an apron powerbomb that pretty much spells the end for Jordan .... He finishes him off with another powerbomb in the ring ....

POST MATCH: WALTER destroys Jordan just like he did with Gable on the last show with the multiple power Bombs .... Johnny Saint comes out and has to call him off .... WALTER agreed to stop but demands a U.K. title shot and Saint agrees to let him have it ....


AT THE DESK: Tenille Dashwood joins Vic Joseph and Pat McAfee at the announce desk .... She talks about her issues with Bayley .... Bayley isn’t worth her time because she’s been given a spot in the Shimmer tag team tournament .... The new tag team of Bea Priestley & Jamie Hayter debut and intimidate Tenille, saying her partner Dana Brooke is no longer with the company .... Tenille says she will find a partner and fight them next week ....

Private Party (Isiah Cassidy & Marq Quen) ~ (UNITED STATES)

Fun and energetic tag match where both teams shine .... SWSC get the win with the ‘Free Toast at 3am’ (V Trigger by Webster while Andrews hits a poison-rana) ....


AT THE DESK: Webster and Andrews join the desk, but they are quickly interrupted by the appearance of ‘Liverpool’s #1’ Zack Gibson and ‘Mr. Mayhem’ James Drake .... together they are Grizzled, GRIZZLED Young Veterans .... Gibson shoos Andrews and Webster away, saying they are the top team in the U.K. and this is their time .... they call out War Machine and say they stay in the States because they are scared of them .... Andrews & Webster don’t take kindly to the interruption and they challenge them to a match next week ....

*** We see highlights from WCW, with Scurll taking out Brian Pullman Jr. and taking his place in an impromptu match against Finn Balor .... Scurll would defeat Balor via ref stoppage to become the new UWF Junior Heavyweight Champion ....  ***


AT THE DESK:

Brand new UWF Junior Heavyweight Champion ‘The Villain’ Marty Scurll comes out ....



Scurll has a bottle of champagne with him and says it’s time to celebrate with a little bit of bubbly, but then he denies Joseph and McAfee from having any .... He is selling stock in Villain Enterprises, and business is through the friggin roof .... he is collecting titles, and he keeps adding to his collection .... in this story, the Villain is the one who wins ....


This brings out Johnny Saint and he says that now that Scurll has the Junior title, he will relinquish the Atlas title .... Scurll says he isn’t relinquishing anything .... No one is going to take his moment away, and he has more belts to collect ....

WCW champion Antonio Cesaro comes out to interrupt and he says he pinned Scurll on the last show and now he wants his Atlas title shot .... Johnny Saint makes the match for next week, and Scurll isn’t happy about it ....


*** We get words from U.K. champion Jack Swagger .... Swagger unzips his jacket and shows his battered and bruised chest from when WALTER chopped him so hard and so many times that his chest bled .... Swagger promises he is coming for payback against WALTER next week ....  ***


Up next, we have an in-ring interview with Buddy Murphy to talk about his recent actions .... he doesn’t need Bullet Club but if White wanted him he should have been the first person White asked and not guys like Killer Kross and Jordan Devlin .... Devlin comes out and challenges Murphy to a match right now!

Evenly contested match, but it doesn’t last long as Jay White comes out and tries to interfere .... Murphy turns the tide and manages to hit the Murphy’s Law on Devlin for the 3 count .... Jay White and Killer Kross hit the ring, but Murphy escapes into the crowd before they can get him! ....


With Bullet Club in the ring, Aleister Blacks music hits!!!!  Black makes his entrance, and Kross is already in the ring and we will have our main event NOW!


FIRST BLOOD MATCH:

vs.
Aleister Black (NETHERLANDS)

Johnny Saint comes out and ejects Bullet Club from the ringside area .... Kross and Black tear into each other violently trying to make the other bleed .... Black goes for the asai moonsault to the floor but Kross throws a chair in his face!  Kross fires with kicks and lays in mounted strikes, then stacks chairs on the floor .... Black turns the tide and tosses Kross off the apron onto the chairs!  Black hits Black Mass and knocks Kross out, but he’s not bleeding!  Black gets a kendo stick and breaks it in half and then tries to stab Kross, but Kross avoids it!  Kross grabs a chair, but Black comes back with a Black Mass kicking the chair into Kross’ face!!!!  The ref tries to check on Kross, but is distracted by the arrival of ....



It’s Scarlett Bourdeaux!!!!  This allows Kross to grab the broken kendo stick and stab Black right in the forehead with it!!!!  Doomsday Saito into the stack of chairs!!!!  Black still isn’t bleeding, but he’s helpless as Kross delivers a vicious con-chair-to that busts Black open!!!!  Kross wins the match ....
