PREVIOUSLY IN PROGRESS

We get highlights of last weeks show, including Young Money winning the Progress tag team titles from The ONE% in controversial fashion ....


**** EARLIER TODAY: ****

We see a limousine pull up and a bunch of young ladies get out followed by Young Money, who are Young Money show up in a limousine with a bunch of ladies .... they are partying it up .... They head inside the arena, where they are confronted by The Briscoes (Jay & Mark) .... Jay says a deal is a deal and they said they could have the first shot if they won .... MVP starts to object, but King says they will fight them tonight .... MVP doesn’t look happy about it and pulls King aside .... MVP sees the camera on them and tells the cameraman to get lost ....

**** 2. SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST ROUND 1: Gallus (Joe & Mark Coffey) def. Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan when Joe Coffey pins Lorcan following the ‘All the Best for the Bells’ (discus lariat) .... ****


Lashley confronts AJ Styles in the locker room .... he says he’s going over MVP’s head and straight to the source .... Lashley says he is the only real fighter in Progress .... he doesn’t chase titles he chases competition and he wanted to look AJ in the eyes like a man and tell him this isn’t his house anymore .... he doesn’t care who the decision maker is around here but he wants to fight AJ tonight ....

AJ says it’s actually refreshing for someone to man up and ask him for a match like a man, instead of jumping him from behind like Marty Scurll .... AJ says he will fight Lashley in the main event!!!!

**** 4. SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST ROUND 1: Forgotten Sons (Wesley Blake & Steve Cutler) w/ Jaxon Ryker def. The Dark Order (Evil Uno & Stu Grayson) after hitting the ‘Lost and the Damned’ (reverse DDT + double stomp) on Grayson .... ****

PROMO:

Charlotte Flair talks about wanting a rematch against Toni Storm for the Universal title .... Bianca BelAir interrupts .... how many chances has Charlotte gotten?  Meanwhile, Belair is *claps hands* ‘UN ... DA ... FEET .... TED!’  Charlotte says it’s easy to be undefeated when you’ve only had one match, but she’s the Queen .... she tells Belair to bow down because she was born and bred to be the top female in this industry ....  Flair lets out a ‘Woooooo!’ but Belair slaps her with her hair!  Charlotte and Belair have a dust up that is quickly separated but Charlotte tells Belair to meet her in the ring and she will make her famous ....


**** 4. Bianca BelAir def. Charlotte Flair in a very competitive match .... Charlotte makes Belair look like a star here .... Belair kicks out of the Natural Selection .... Charlotte goes for a sunset flip, but Belair sits down and hooks Charlottes legs and gets the clean 3 count in a shocking upset!!!! ****


PROMO:

The ONE% protest losing the tag titles .... They say they are going above MVP’s head and straight to Progress’ HR department .... Austin Aries calls for MVP to be removed from his position because of abuse of power and conflict of interest .... Aries promises to take the US title from Johnny Gargano tonight, while O’Reilley & Strong are going to get their titles back ....


**** 5. The Briscoes (Jay & Mark) def. Progress tag team champions Young Money (Kenny King & MVP) by countout .... Jay hits the Jay Driller on King, but just as the ref is about to count the 3 MVP grabs the timekeepers hammer and rings the bell!  There is confusion afterwards, and in the confusion MVP grabs the tag belts and he and King take a walk and get counted out .... ****


Shayna Baszler promo .... she says Toni Storm wants to be everyone’s hero .... she stuck her nose in the Horsewomens business and she’s going to pay just like Rhea Ripley is going to pay .... Baszler challenges Ripley and Storm to find a partner and face the Horsewomen in a 6 woman tag team match ....



**** 6. United States Champion Johnny Gargano def. Austin Aries to retain the US title .... the ONE% try to get involved is this, resulting in chaos .... Candice LeRae gets involved and jumps off the apron and hits Kyle O’Reilley with a huricanrana!  Meanwhile, Strong hits the End of Heartache on Gargano but he kicks out!  Aries goes after the US title but Candice grabs it .... Roddy grabs Candice but she kicks him right between the legs!  Gargano hits the slingshot DDT on Aries, and Candice slides the title belt into the ring so the DDT is onto the title!  This is enough for Gargano to get the 3 count .... ****


PROMO:

We get another Terminator vignette featuring ‘The Machine’ Brian Cage .... Cage returns to Progress next week! ....



**** 7. Progress Atlas Champion AJ Styles vs. Bobby Lashley never happens .... ****

The arrival of ‘The Villain’ Marty Scurll interrupts them, and Scurll says that he is going to be the one that takes the title away from Styles .... Lashley tells Scurll to come to the ring and he will fight them both .... AJ drills Scurll, but this allows Lashley to cuts AJ in half with a spear!  He tosses AJ to the floor, then SPEARS HIM TO THE STAIRS!!!!  AJ is hurt!  Lashley holds up the Atlas title when ....

‘REGULATORS ... MOUNT UP!’  Out comes Matt Riddle!  Riddle hits the ring and we have a wild brawl between Riddle and Lashley That goes all the way up the isle and into the back!  Meanwhile, Scurll and AJ are the only ones left .... Scurll grabs a chair and smashes AJ’s injured ribs, then locks on the Chickenwing!!!!  Referees come out and Scurll finally lets go, then grabs a mic and announces he’s cashing in his golden ticket for a title shot at the Universal Bash show in London!
