Show starts with a recap video from last week ....



We go to the ring to start the show and United States Champion The Miz comes out with his wife Maryse .... Miz says he beat Johnny Gargano fair and square last week and that was supposed to be the end of Johnny Gargano’s 15 minutes of fame .... but then Johnny Gargano’s wife had the audacity to lay her hands on his beautiful, sexy, lovely wife Maryse, the mother of his daughter .... How dare her!!!!

This brings out Johnny and Candice to a HUGE pop .... Gargano says he would be Champion right now if not for Maryse .... He lays out a challenge to the Miz for A MIXED TAG MATCH tonight!!!!  If they win, Johnny gets another US title shot .... Miz says no, but then Maryse grabs the mic and accepts the challenge on their behalf!  




**** Carmella vs. Cherry Bomb **** ....

This is Carmella’s debut with Progress, and being the ‘Princess of Staten Island’ makes her a natural heel here in Boston .... Carmella makes Cherry Bomb tap with the Code of Silence ....


IN THE BACK -

Rottweilers talk about being the most dangerous tag team in Progress after what they did to the Wolves .... no one wants to face them so they call out War Machine and say they want a tag title shot .... They cross paths with Redragon, who disagree with them .... They want to prove it in the Ring because Redragon believe they are next in line for a Progress tag title shot ....


Up next, Kenny ‘Pretty Boy Pitbull’ Kenny King makes his return, but he’s not here to wrestle .... along informs everyone that MVP has put him in charge while he’s over in England ‘cleaning up William Regals mess’ .... King makes the following matches official for tonight:

Miz & Maryse vs Johnny Gargano & Candice LeRae

Charlotte vs Shayna Baszler

Redragon vs The Rottweilers

AJ Styles faces an opponent of Finn Balor’s choosing

King introduces Ricochet, who comes out and cuts an in-ring promo and says he’s been all over the world and he’s here for one reason and that’s the prove he’s the best by testing himself against the best .... They are interrupted as Dolph Ziggler makes his entrance .... Ziggler says no one upstages him, and he and Ricochet trade words .... Ricochet invites Ziggler into the ring right now, but Ziggler declines because he isn’t giving away anything to these people for free .... Instead, Ricochet flips over the top rope and lands on his feet on the floor right in Zigglers face!!!!  We have a standoff .... neither guy flinches!  King calms both guys down and informs them that they will both make their Progress debuts at Vendetta .... AGAINST EACH OTHER!


**** Redragon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilley) vs. The Rottweilers (Low Ki & Homicide) w/ Salina De La Renta **** ....

The American Wolves make their return, interfering in the match and causing a distraction, leading to Redragon hitting Chasing the Dragon on Homicide and getting the pin ....

After the match, the Wolves lay out Low Ki with the Force of Nature and leave the Rottweilers laying ....


Progress Atlas Champion Finn Balor comes out and talks about how he defeated AJ’s hand-picked opponent, Aleister Black, at the Progress UK show .... Balor picks AJ’s opponent for tonight: ‘The Machine’ BRIAN CAGE!


**** AJ Styles vs. ‘The Machine’ Brian Cage **** ....

Excellent back and forth match here .... However, it is marred by interference as Austin Aries and Roderick Strong come out and get involved .... Balor watches from the announce desk and refuses to do anything about it .... Meanwhile, Cage is pissed that Strong & Aries are involved and he comes back in and fights them off!  The match is rules a no contest ....

Afterwards, Cage continues his path of destruction and lays Styles out with the Drill Claw just for the hell of it .... Balor leaves the desk and enters the ring, standing over AJ and holding the Atlas title up, which elicits some surprising boos from the crowd ....


IN THE BACK -

Brian Cage storms into Kenny Kings office and wants a match with Austin Aries & Roderick Strong .... King says ‘What?  You want to fight both of them?’ and laughs it off but then is surprised when Cage says ‘Yes!’ .... King says if he wants it he can have it next week ....


**** Charlotte Flair vs. Shayna Baszler **** ....

Lots or bad blood in this one and it’s a fight from the very beginning .... the ref has a hard time keeping this match under control .... Baszler seems unprepared for Charlotte’s intensity and she is more on the defensive than she usually is .... Charlotte grabs a chair from ringside and attacks Baszler, resulting in the DQ ....

Charlotte wears Baszler out with the chair, getting payback for all the attacks from Baszler on her and other members of the women’s roster .... Charlotte puts Baszlers arm in the chair and does the Brian Pilman to her arm!

Kenny King comes out and is on the phone with MVP .... King books a rematch between Charlotte and Baszler at VENDETTA in a no DQ match ....


**** (US Champion) The Miz & Maryse vs. Johnny Gargano & Candice LeRae **** ....

The crowd is MOLTEN for Joey and Candice, especially after they hit dual suicide dives out onto Miz & Maryse outside .... Miz takes a cheap shot on Candice, which allows them to take advantage .... Johnny with the hot tag, but Miz pulls Maryse in front of him .... Candice superkicks Maryse out of the way, then Gargano Superkicks Miz!  Johnny and Candice get the win as they get a double tap out on Miz & Maryse with dual ‘GargaNO Escapes’!!!!



Johnny and Candice celebrate, and now Johnny gets another US title shot at VENDETTA ....


Show ends with a rundown of the Progress: VENDETTA card ....
