Revolution Pro Wrestling Chapter 8: The Villain vs The Perfect 10 9636A8A6-174F-4A24-9BB9-67B239BD2803_zpsl9helqag

INTRODUCTION

Adrian Neville is interviewed before the show .... He is interrupted by Eli Drake .... LET ME TALK TO YA!  Drake insists he is the top guy here and he's tired of all the disrespect .... Drake says these people seem to think Neville is so good, well tonight he is gonna shut all their mouths and shut Nevilles mouth too .... 'and that's not an insult, THAT is just a fact of life!!!!' ....

Renee Young, the voice of RPW, is here to start us off .... GUEST COMMENTARY: JAY LETHAL .... Lethal is still out nursing a shoulder injury suffered at Battle of Britain, and he provides guest commentary again here .... Lethal and Renee recap Chapter 7, where we crowned a new Women's Knockout champion as Becky Lynch won a fatal 4 way match that also included Allysin Kay, Hikaru Shida and defending champ Sasha Banks .... in the main event, Marty Scurll will make his first defense of the Fighting Spirit title against Tye Dillinger ....

*RPW has a 'Code of Honor' similar to RING OF HONOR where opponents show respect with a handshake to begin the match .... sportsmanship is encouraged in all matches .... outside the ring has 20 count to get back in the ring instead of the standard 10 seconds*

Singles match:
Zack Sabre Jr (UK)
- vs -
Wolfgang (SCOTLAND)

This match is a good big man/ little man dynamic .... Sabre Jr is one of the most 'over' guys on the roster though .... he wins the match via ref stoppage with a triangle choke + elbow strikes to the head ....

BACKSTAGE PROMO

RPW matchmaker Fit Finlay talks about last weeks Women's Fatal 4 way match .... it is getting rave reviews so we are going to do one for the men, but this time with a little twist .... at Chapter 10, entitled 'HIGH STAKES', we will have a Fatal 4 way to see who will face the winner of Scurll vs Dillinger .... the winner will be #1 contender, but the loser will no longer be able to challenge for the Fighting Spirit title for an extended amount of time .... the names of the people that will have to 'qualify' next week will be announced later in the show ....

Singles match:
Adrian Neville (UK)
- vs -
Eli Drake (USA)

A very exciting match .... Drake shows that he is clearly one of the top heels in RPW as he constantly tries to take short cuts to win .... Neville is still a favorite here although it seems the crowd is starting to sour on him at least a little bit .... the finish sees Neville go for the red arrow, but drake gets the knees up!  Drake quickly rolls up Neville with a handful of tights and gets the 3 count!

Neville argues with the ref but it is no use as Drake is declared the winner ....

BACKSTAGE PROMO

Caprice Coleman confronts Cedric Alexander about bailing on him last week when he was attacked by Decay .... Alexander sincerely apologizes .... Coleman says Finlay has booked them in a 4 on 3 match against Decay tonight and they need to be on the same page .... Alexander assures him they will be and that he's got his back ....

Singles match:
Trent Seven (UK)
- vs -
Mason Andrews (UK)

This is the RPW debut for both of these guys .... Seven has a cult following from the European independent scene, and we see people in the audience holding up signs that say 'TRENT SEVEN ARMY' .... Renee talks about how he hails from moustache mountain, which is where he claims British Strong Style was born .... Andrews is an accomplished high flyer .... Andrews uses his quickness to hit some moves early, but Seven comes back and connects with the '7 stars lariat' (rainmaker) and get the win in his debut ....

IN-RING SEGMENT -----

Renee introduces the new Knockout Champion Becky Lynch .... Lynch comes out to a big reaction and talks about winning the Knockout title at Chapter 8 ....

Sasha Banks comes out to interrupt .... Banks wants her rematch but she wants it 1 on 1 .... Banks is not the one that tapped out in that match, Allysin Kay did .... Banks says her and Lynch always bring out the best in each other, but when she gets her rematch she will win back 'her' title ....

This brings out Allysin Kay .... Kay says she tapped out, but that match was a glorified handicap match because it took the other 3 women in the match to beat her .... Kay insists that she should get the shot and then she will be the one that will win the title .... Kay challenges Banks to a match at Chapter 9, with the winner getting the next shot at Becky Lynch ....

3 on 4 handicap tag team match:
Decay (Jimmy Havoc, Abyss, Crazzie Steve) w/ Rosemary
- vs -
The Project (Tomasso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano) + C&C Wrestling Factory (Cedric Alexander &Caprice Coleman)

This stems from Decay attacking everyone after C&C and the Project faced each other in a tag team match last week .... this is a fight from the opening bell with everyone brawling around the ring .... Alexander wipes out Decay with a high risk dive .... things settle down with Decay isolating Gargano and working him over but Gargano battles back and gets the hot tag into Ciampa who goes nuts on all of them .... everyone ends up in the ring and Alexander gets the hot tag this time but instead of entering the ring he drops to the floor and walks off!  This leaves Coleman all alone in the ring again .... as Alexander watches from the top of the ramp, Coleman falls victim to the Black Hole Slam from Abyss for the 3 count ....

BACKSTAGE PROMO

Marty Scurll confronts a dejected Adrian Neville in the locker room .... Scurll tells him that you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain .... he goads Neville by saying that in today's world, the villain always wins .... Scurll walks off laughing and Neville is left seething ....

Tag Team Streetfight:
Anarchy in the U.K. (Bram & Paul Burchill) w/ Winter --- (UK)
- vs -
Hideo Itami & Hirooki Goto (JAPAN)

HUGE brawl in this one as the Japanese team attacks as Bram and Burchill make their way to the ring .... this match involves any and all manner of weapons as both teams are out for blood .... Bram hits an implant ddt off the apron through a table at ringside, and Goto ends up hitting the Shouten Kai on Bram onto a stack of chairs .... Itami nails the GTS on Burchill but Bram makes the save .... a table is set up in the ring and Anarchy in the U.K. try to put Itami through it but Goto makes the save .... this ends with Itami putting Burchill through the table with a double stomp!!!!  Itami puts Burchill in the 'Game Over' (Yes Lock) using pieces of the table and Burchill quickly taps out!!!!  Itami and Goto get the win in a war!

- Three 3 minute rounds, with title matches going to 5 minute rounds
- 10 point must system

- Judging categories: Physicality, aggressiveness, controlling the action

- Wins can happen anytime via pin or submission

- If there is no winner after three rounds, a winner is decided by judge's decision

We get a recap of the Fighting Spirit rules as it's time for the main event ....

Revolution Pro Wrestling Chapter 8: The Villain vs The Perfect 10 Y7hyqpi

Fighting Spirit title match:
(C) 'The Villain' Marty Scurll (UK)
- vs -
'The Perfect 10' Tye Dillinger (USA)

After the feeling out period Dillinger really turns it on in the first period .... much like their first match in the Battle of Britain, the first round ends with Dillinger in control .... Scurll is totally off balance .... Dillinger presses the advantage in the 2nd round and scores several near falls .... Dillinger hits the Tye Breaker late in the round, but Scurll is saved by the bell as the ref is only able to get to a 2 count .... the unofficial scorecard has Dillinger leading 2-0 in rounds ....

Scurll seems to rebound in the 3rd round as the match breaks down .... Scurll hits several charging European uppercuts, then fakes a dive but instead flips off the crowd in true villain fashion .... Scurll fakes a superkick that makes Dillinger duck, then Scurll kicks him in the knee and then hits the Essex Destroyer (front flip ddt) .... this time Dillinger is saved by the bell!  We go to round 4 with Dillinger still ahead on the unofficial score card 2-1 ....

Round 4 is an absolute war as both men try to put the other away .... Scurll scores with a superkick from the apron and then a heat seeking missile under the bottom rope .... Dillinger rebounds shotgun knees in the corner with his knees exposed!  Scurll escapes the Tye Breaker, but Dillinger escapes the chickenwing and scores with the 'Perfect 10' (codebreaker)!  1 ... 2 ... nooooo!  Scurll kicks out!  Dillinger goes for a super-plex, but Scurll slips out .... TOWER OF LONDON!!!!  1 ... 2 ... nooooo!  Dillinger kicks out!!!!  Dillinger throws Scurll into the corner and goes for the shotgun knees again but Scurll goes low and kicks his knee out from under him!  Scurll grabs Dillinger and tosses him shoulder-first into the ring post and then locks on the crossface chickenwing!!!!  Dillinger is trapped in the middle of the ring and can't escape!  He taps!  At 4:24 of the 4th round, Marty Scurll has retained the Fighting Spirit title!

Revolution Pro Wrestling Chapter 8: The Villain vs The Perfect 10 Scurllll

Scurll collapses as the fans are chanting 'THAT WAS AWESOME!'  Scurll fakes like he's going to offer a handshake, but instead walks off with the title in true villain fashion .... Dillinger is left in the ring and gets a monstrous standing ovation from the fans as the show ends ....
