Midsouth # 16 : 3 Way Dance
Jim Ross : Hello folks and welcome to Midsouth Wrestling. Joining me now is Mr . Bill Watts , president of Midsouth.
Watts : Thank you Jim . Fans to tonight’s tag team match , is huge . This will decide who gets the shot at the National Tag Team Titles in Glasgow Scotland. So we moved our tag team segment to our second hour . We have allowed a no time limit for this match . If it goes off the air here on USA , you can catch the ending on Max .
As a matter of fact , we have an announcement about Max . Our partnership with USA will run out on July 1 . We have taken on as our partners , HBO. We will air a weekly two hour show on HBO starting in July . It begins though with a Max exclusive on July 6th . If you have Max , you can see the Great American Bash from AT&T Stadium on that date . Then on July 20th you can catch our second Bash show from Louisiana Superdome on HBO . We have 3 big matches signed for that one already .
The new HBO Television Title will be defended .
The WWC Heavyweight Champion Terry Gordy will defend against a mystery opponent
And a Steel Cage Boot Camp Match Sgt . Slaughter vs The Iron Sheik . Loser will leave the Midsouth area . Sgt . Slaughter could be the Texas Heavyweight Champion by then , if he is , he stays in Midsouth until he loses the belt .
And we will find out in just a little bit if he advances . Jim . Let’s take a break and get this show started .

Final Four Billy Gunn vs Michael Hayes : A even match up . Hayes controls the early going . Playing mind games with Gunn , getting into his head . Hayes hits a dropkick and then a back body drop. He puts a a sleeper and Gunn falls into the ropes . Off the break , Gunn rakes the eye and then an elbow smash . Now he hits a flapjack on Hayes and then standing dropkick that knocks Hayes out of the ring . Gunn goes to whip Hayes into the ropes and knees, but Hayes reverses and Gunn eats the stares . Hayes rolls in just beating the 10 count .
JR : Michael Hayes by gawd is in the finals for the Texas Heavyweight Championship!!! Folks we will hear from the Von Erichs when we come back .

JR : And here they are . The Von Erich brothers . Mike , David , Kevin and Kerry . Gentlemen , you guys have been in high demand as of late . Now you are the WWC Trios Champions . Kevin , you got a NWA World Heavyweight Championship match coming up in Glasgow with Lex Luger , David I’m told you have news and Kerry , you’re coming off injury , but it doesn’t look like you will be facing Lex Luger as he refusing to come to Texas or Midsouth for that matter .
Kerry : JR , it’s funny . Luger thinks he’s gonna get by Kevin . I say not even close . I say Kevin is gonna stop him in Glasgow , become the NWA World Heavyweight Champion . If for some reason he does get by Kevin , then he’s got Nikita Koloff . I can promise you folks one way or another , there will be a Von Erich involved in AT&T Stadium in a NWA World Heavyweight Championship Match. Either defending or competing .
Luger , if you are lucky enough to survive both Kevin and Nikita Koloff , you have already signed a contract and one way or another , you’re coming to Midsouth , even if I have to drag you there myself . Are you afraid of me , because I pinned you ? Is that why you’re not coming here is that why you paid ……
The Freebirds come out .
Roberts: The next words out of your mouth , better not mention this man ( slaps Gordy in the chest ) . You punks have had it to easy here in Midsouth . You’ve get everything handed to you including those Trios titles . We don’t give a damn which 3 we take on , but we want another shot at those belts .
Kevin : We can do it right now .
Bill Watts comes out .
Watts : Sorry boys . We got a lot going in here today . The Freebirds and Von Erichs don’t make matches around here , I do . You wanna hook em up ? Let’s do it in AT&T Stadium . Now in Glasgow , 3 of the Von Erichs gotta defend those titles . If they lose , we are still gonna get this match . Now we got another match to get to .
JR : Folks we will have that match when we come back .

Final Four . Sgt . Slaughter vs The Great Kabuki : Gary Hart leads out his man . He provides a distraction , early on . Kabuki hits Sarge with several strikes . He goes for the spinning back fist , but Sarge ducks under and comes up with a knee . Sarge puts Kabuki in the Cobra Clutch . Kabuki is flailing around and hits the ref . Iron Sheik comes in and kicks Sarge in the back of the head with a loaded boot . Kabuki falls on top of Sarge . Hart revives the ref . 1………2…….3 !!!
JR : It’s Hayes and Kabuki for the Texas Heavyweight Championship at AT&T Stadium. We’ll be back with Art Barr .

Art Barr vs Kofi Kingston : Barr wins with a frog splash , while Col . Robert Fuller watches on .
Gordon : Art Barr every week is turning heads .
Barr : Gordon , our absent Junior Heavyweight Champion here in Midsouth is getting a title shot vs the NWA Super Junior Heavyweight Champion on July 6th . Rey defends his title every 30 days .
Fuller : He’s not even ranked in the top ten . Art is and so is that loser Tiger Mask , but not Rey . Well we are damn sick of it .
Tiger Mask comes out .
Tiger : Forgive me for interrupting Mr . Solie , Mr. Barr , you are a great wrestler , you have beaten me , but why do you insult me ?
Fuller : Boy , you need to shut up and get out of here . We are busy challenging Rey Mysterio for that Junior Heavyweight Championship and we got no time for you .
Tiger Mask : Maybe , I would like to challenge Mr . Fuller .
Bill Watts comes out .
Watts : Damn , I’m out here a lot . I got a hell of an idea . Why don’t we do this ? July 6th Art Barr vs Tiger Mask . The winner will take on Rey Mysterio Jr at LSU on July 20th .
Fuller : We ain’t out here , to set up matches with third rate talent . We want that shot now !!!
Watts : Well , let me think . No . Ok so it’s done , July 6th AT&T Stadium .

3 Way Dance
Rules : You must win pinfalls on two teams .
Only two teams at time in the ring .
The losing team remains in the ring until they get a win . If they don’t win the final jeopardy match , they are eliminated and the remaining two teams fight it out until there is one winner .
The Wild Samoans vs The Armstrongs : Gary Hart again leads out his men . The Armstrongs start out very quickly with fast tags working Afa’s arm . Brad tries to come off the ropes and Hart shakes them . Brad now gets caught in a double team by the Wild Samoans . The hot tag never comes . Sika hits the Samoan Drop and it’s a 3 count .
JR : The Samoans only need to win one more match . Now poor Bob and Brad as a result of losing have to face the Andersons next .
The Armstrongs vs The Andersons : It’s more of the same . Brad who is beaten down , can’t catch a break . Ole and Arn attack the back after the Samoan Drop . Arn hits a Spinebuster. From there Ole locks in a Boston Crab and Brad wisely taps !
JR : Folks The Armstrongs are in Final Jeopardy . They need a win here . We are out of time here on USA . Switch over to Max to catch the rest of this show .

JR : Hello Max !! I’m Jim Ross and this is Midsouth Wrestling from the a Sportitorium in Dallas , Texas . Most of you have switch over from USA Network , which was the last broadcast on that station . You are in the midst of a tag team match with crucial consequences. The winner of this match goes on to face The Texas Outlaws in Glasgow Scotland. The Armstrongs are in danger of being eliminated altogether . And our crazy president Bill Watts as a celebration has decided to give Max a third hour if there is time at the conclusion of this tag team marathon .
The Wild Samoans vs The Armstrongs : Afa goes to pull Brad up after a brutal beat down from the Andersons . He goes for a Samoan Drop , but Brad quickly gets a small package . 1…..2…..3 !!!
JR : Well now the Armstrongs survive , but damn all hope is lost . Whoever wins this next fall between the Samoans and the Andersons is the winner . Poor Bob and Brad and can only sit and watch .
The Wild Samoans vs The Andersons : The Samoans want brawl the Andersons want to wrestle . The match gets out of control . Ole and Afa shove the ref at the same time . The ref calls for the bell DQing both teams .
JR : By Gawd !!! The Andersons and Samoans are both DQ’d a pinfall . What are we gonna do now , Bill Watts is on his way out .
Watts : JR , we got a situation here that I didn’t plan on . So we are in sudden death . So now it’s a 3 team , six man battle Royal . Last remaining man gets to take his team to Glasgow . All six gentlemen in the ring now please .
As the match begins Funk and Hansen hit the ring . They are armed with bull ropes and whips . They toss out Bob Armstrong . They toss out the Andersons . Hansen and Funk use their weapons on the Wild Samoans and they go out .
JR : Well , this ain’t right and it damn sure ain’t fair , but the Armstrongs win . Brad is the sole survivor for his team .
Everyone is hurt . Brad is laying in the mat , not even aware of what’s going on . Funk has handcuffed Bob to the railing . An angry Samoan and Anderson team leave the area . Funk is stepping in the back of Brad’s neck . Hansen gets out the whip and starts lashing at Brad . The back is bleeding . Hansen then points and says something to Funk . Funk goes out of the ring and pulls out a branding iron !!!
JR : DAMMIT SOMEBODY STOP THIS !!!! ACT LIKE NWA CHAMPIONS ! DAMN FUNK AND HANSEN !!!!
Hansen produces a lighter and beats up the iron .
Mr . Wrestling 2 . The Rock N Roll Express , Tommy Rich and Los Malos hit the ring . Security has gotten Bob out of the handcuffs !!!!

Hansen : Oh they’ll show they are too prideful and stupid to stay home . And the rest of you rasslers that came out , you saw what we did when the Armstrongs stuck their nose in , well you keep it up and we got more of the same for you .

JR : Folks , I’m here with Los Malos . The rest of the guys came that came out , are heading your way the hospital with Brad Armstrong . Gentlemen , it was odd seeing you two out here in that group . We know you are not fans of the Armstrongs .
Manny : Gordon , we ain’t gotta be fans . You see the Armstrongs are part of this roster . That means respect . We can hate them all we want , but this is our turf . Not Funk and Hansen .
Del Rio : That’s right . They think cause they got National Tag Team Championships they got a right to make their own rules , well not here Midsouth . This is our home . They keep up their stupidity they could get hurt .
JR : Thank you gentlemen . We have about 30 minutes of time left . Let’s to go a stand by match .
Denny Brown vs Brett Sawyer : Good back and forth match for about five minutes into Harley Race comes out and kicks both guys asses then hits a Piledriver on Brown .
Race goes to the podium .

JYD comes out .
JYD : I see two young men trying to earn their way and you attack them . Well the dawg don’t take kindly to that . Arrrrooooooo !!!
Race sucker punches JYD and walks off .
