UWF Presents: The Lonestar Shootout

           





Location: Reunion Arena, Dallas TX








Jim Ross: "Hello wrestling fans and welcome to beautiful downtown, Dallas Texas as the UWF brings to you the Lonestar Shootout! And Bill we have a great night of action lined up as we are going to see such matches as The Hacksaws, Duggan and Reed collide with Demolition! Ted DiBiase will finally collide with Stan Hansen, and Mr. Perfect awaits a mystery challenger from Gary Hart for the UWF Heavyweight title. But I understand you have a special announcementto make Cowboy?"

 Bill Watts: "I certainly do! As we all know the Great American Bash kicks off in just a few weeks. And the UWF gets the distinct honor of hosting the 4th of July date. And I have already obtained the contract of whomever the NWA World champion will be on that night. And that person will defend that title against the winner of tonight's surprise battle royal. I'm only putting the UWFs very best in it. And the last man standing will face the World champion on July 4th in Busch Stadium!"    

  Jim Ross: "It doesn't get any bigger than that! Sounds like a Slobberknocker to me! But right now it's time for our opening contest of the evening!"              





 Match One: Beer Money vs The Midnight Express in an Ultimate X match for the UWF tag team titles              

The Express try to climb early, but they are quickly stopped by Roode and Storm. Express avoids clotheslines in the corner and hit running clotheslines of their own. Storm is dumped to the floor as is Roode. The Express hit stereo springboard crossbody blocks to the floor. Eaton protects Condrey as he goes to climb, but Storm cuts Condrey off as Roode was on the apron with Eaton. Condrey dropkicks Roode off the apron and Eaton hits a bulldog on Storm. Eaton climbs the ropes and tries to reach the titles, but is pulled off and tossed into the corner back first. Condrey tries to reach the belts, but Roode hits an atomic drop and catapults Condrey into a DDT by Storm. Storm tells Roode he’s been drinking and can’t climb, so Roode tries to climb. Eaton splashes Storm in the corner and Roode is stopped on the top rope. Storm is knocked into Roode in the corner. Roode is put in a tree of woe in the corner and Eaton hits a baseball slide dropkick on Roode

Condrey tries to get the belts as Roode hit a back suplex on Eaton. Beer Money try for a neckbreaker, but Condrey breaks free and almost hits a Slice Bread on Roode, but Storm hits a backstabber. Beer Money takes Condrey over with a double snap suplex. They play to the crowd as Eaton climbs the ropes. Condrey is decked by Storm in the corner. Roode’s cut on his forehead. Storm clotheslines Condrey and Roode follows suit with a clothesline, too. Eaton fights off Storm hitting a middle rope atomic drop. Roode is climbing the rope and is near the belts, but Condrey pulls Roode down and delivers a boot to the midsection. Condrey spikes Roode with a DDT. Condrey goes to the top rope and double stomps Roode. Storm is forearmed by Condrey and is eye raked off the middle rope. Condrey goes across the ropes trying to reach the belts, but Storm hits the Eight Second Ride. Eaton is on the rope and kicks Storm a few times before hitting a Alabama Jam off the top rope! Roode plants Eaton with a spinebuster. Roode is going across the ropes while standing on Storm’s shoulders, but they are kicked and Roode is yanked down onto Storm by the champs.
Condrey kicks Storm on the apron and hits a Slice Bread on the apron! Roode is climbing the structure and walking the rope! Eaton is on the other side and gets to the middle first. Eaton kicks Roode to crotch Roode on the rope and manages to retrieve the belts as Roode fell to the mat. AND STILL....... UWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS....... THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS!


 






 Match Two: "Playboy" Buddy Rose w/Miss Linda  vs Adrian Street                    

Street starts the match by demanding that Linda get in his corner! Linda however, does not oblige snd this enrages Street who starts kicking Rose ass. Big time. Rose turns things around when Adrian Street has him on the outside and is about to ram his head into the steel post in the bulldog position but Rose shoves him off into the post. Street ends up catching Rose in a sleeper and then Rose shoves the ref out of the ring which JR tries to cover by claiming the ref was "caught up in the action." Miss Linda sprays something in the eyes of Adrian Street. Then she takes off one of her heels and nails him in the back of the head with it. Linda puts Rose on top for the pin and then revives the ref, who counts three!  Linda jumps in Buddy's arm and gives him a kiss on the cheek which puts a smile on the Playboys face!  



   Jim Ross: "You talk about bizzare....bizarre..... it doesn't get any more bizarre than this situation between Buddy Rose and Miss Linda! I'm sure we haven't heard the last of that situation. But right now, I want to bring in the newest signed to the UWF..... he's one of Texas own...... The Modern Day Warrior...... Kerry Von Erich! Kerry welcome to the UWF!"            




  Kerry Von Erich: "Thank you so much Jim Ross! Ya know I've been wondering around the country trying to find my place in the NWA. But I gotta tell ya.....there ain't no place like being home here in the Great state of Texas! So it was only fitting that......"    


Kerry is interrupted by the appearance of Skandar Akbar




Skandar Akbar: "Now wait just one minute here! The UWF has enough hippie degenerates in it like Hacksaw Duggan in it! Which I will finally get rid of him later tonight! I surely don't need anyone the likes of a Von Erich here! I could care less about being here in Texas..... I'm telling you right now, Von Erich...  your not wanted here!"                

 Kerry Von Erich: "Well I hate breaking the news to ya, but I ain't going nowhere Akbar! And I think I can speak for all the great people here tonight...... maybe it's you that's not wanted here!"              


Akbar takes his riding crop and slaps Kerry in the chest with it. Kerry retaliated by nailing Akbar. Kerry then puts Akbar in the Iron Claw but it's only momentarily as Kerry is jumped from behind by Kamala! The Ugandan Giant chops away at the head of Kerry as Akbar regains his senses. Kamala bodyslams Kerry then he starts climbing the turnbuckles.  Akbar wants Kamala to splash Von Erich!! But before Kamala can leap off, Kerry jumps up and grabs Kamala and slams him off the top rope! Akbar and Kamala retreat as Von Erich takes in a thunderous ovation!





Match Three: Ted DiBiase vs Stan Hansen                    

Hansen throws a chair in, and attacks DiBiase before the bell. Hansen tosses DiBiase, and he won’t let up, bashing DiBiase in the face with another chair. That lights Dibiases fire who posts Hansen, and the ref calls for the bell. The fans start getting pissed, thinking the match was over, but actually it was him calling for the match to start. Hansen regains control with an elbow to the jaw. DiBiase recovers with a sunset flip for two. Dibiase gets a slam but Hansen starts choking away. Hansen tosses DiBiase again, and hits him with a THIRD chair. He uses a FOURTH chair to the head. DiBiase responds with a chairshot of his own, and the ref calls for the bell. Hansen grabs his lariat and starts dragging Dibiase around the arena. Dibiase regains himself and they brawl all over the place until security rushes out to seperate them as the refereedeclares the bout a Double DQ!

 Jim Ross: "Ladies and Gentlemen,  at this time we will have the contract signing for the match between the NWA World tv champion,  Jimmy Snuka and the #1 Contender to his title...... "Gentleman" Chris Adams!  First of all, champ, welcome to Texas! It's an honor to have you with us tonight"          




Jimmy Snuka: "Brudda..... it does my heart good to be here in front of all these great fans, and to officially defend my title against this man Chris Adams on the 4th of July!"          

Jim Ross: "And Chris we all know the road you have taken to get this opportunity! And as you are the #1 Contender..... you will finally get your shot!"              




 Chris Adams: "Four months agai, I took this Gentlemen to a time limit draw! Nobody thought I could have done that. And I vowed I would prove my worth and not ask for a rematch until I was the #1 Contender for that title! And now that time is here! And I can't wait to step in the ring with the champ again!"          


This brings Arn Anderson to the ring!




Arn Anderson: "Everybody take a look at the smile on Jimmy Snukas face right now! He's smiling because he knows he can easily defeat Chris Adams! You might as well feed him Mike Jackson! He would put up more of a fight!"            

Jim Ross: "Your whole stance on this confuses me! You was out injured for some time! You took the man under your wing so to speak! To prepare for this opportunity.  And now you seem upset about it?"              

Arn Anderson: "Why shouldn't I be upset? The board of directors are bypassing me! Yes, I did all those things you said. I taught him all he knows.....not what I know! He's not in Snukas league. I know it! These fans know it! And most importantly,  Snuka knows it! Snuka knows if he had to defend that title against me, I would beat him for it!"          

 Jimmy Snuka: "Now hold on a minute brudda! I have a lot of respect for both you guys! But Arn, your out of line here! I will defend this title against any challenges, including you Arn Anderson! This contract says I face Chris Adams in July 4th! And that what I'm gonna do! As far as your concerned..... there's a tournament on July 19th! Called Gold Rush! Brudda, the winner of that tournament can get a title shot against me any time! Your so good? Why not win that and prove it? Chris Adams, we have our time on July 4th! May the best man win!"      

  Chris Adams: "I have something I want to get off my chest..... Arn, your taking alot of credit about getting me to the #1 Contender spot! And I admit, you had alot to do with it. But I'm telling you that if I didn't have something inside me to begin with, none of it would if mattered. And to be quite frank..... the way your acting as of late..... your making an ass out of yourself!"          


Arn nails Adams with a stunning left jab! Snuka tries to stop Arn and Anderson grabs Snuka...... DDT!! Arn stands over both men. Arn grabs the NWA World tv title and looks it over, then drops it on Snukas chest and leaves the ring!  





Match Four: Hacksaw Duggan  & Hacksaw Butch Reed vs Demolition w/Skandar Akbar              

Ax throws Butch across the ring to start, and pounds him to the canvas. Butch avoids an elbow drop, unloads on Ax, and a roll up gets a quick two count. Smash tags in, and walks into a pair of arm drags. Duggan tags in, and has his way with Smash, as well. Ax kicks Duggan across the back of the head, and it's Demolition's turn to control the action. Butch tags in, and after a brief flurry of offense, gets whipped into the ring post, which also included some outside interference from Akbar and now the real heat segment is underway. Demolition continues to target the left arm, ramming it into the ring post once again. Back in the ring, and Butch lays Ax out with a diving clothesline. Duggan gets the tag, but the referee didn't see it. Butch gets sent shoulder first to the buckle, but manages to boot a charging Smash, and now we get th hot tag. Duggan throws a dropkick on Ax, then plants both opponents with slams. Smash gets knocked out of the ring, and Butch sling-shot's Reec to the floor, on top of him. Back in the ring, and Duggan with the powerslam for a two count. Smash continues taking a beating, but won't stay down for more than a two count. Things get out of control, and Akbar tosses an object in the ring and Ax KO's Butch with it. Smash has just enough in him to throw an arm across the chest, and its over! Demolition wins!









  Match Five: Battle Royal to face NWA World Champion on July 4th            

I'm gonna keep this one short and sweet as we all know how battle royals go lol. Ten men in this including Bundy. Jake Robert's, Dr. Death, Cactus Jack, Harley Race, Darby Allin, Chris Candido,  Dibiase,  Hansen, and Terry Taylor!

Dibiase and Hansen continue their war and eliminate each other! Then Jake and Bundy decide to team up and eliminate everyone until the final three...... Jake, Bundy, and Dr Death  A miscue from Bundy eliminates Jake then Dic shows his power and scoops Bundy up and over the top to the floor. Dr Death will face the World champion on July 4th!  








 Match Six: Mr. Perfect vs Gary Harts Mystery Man for the UWF Heavyweight title                

Perfect comes to the ring by himself with no Jim Cornette to be seen. After a few seconds, Gary Hart makes his way to the ring and reminds Perfect that Cornette does not have his best interests at heart then introduces Perfects challenger.........







The crowd buzzes at Mutas appearance and even as cool as he can try and act, Perfect looks a little intimidated. The bell rings and Perfect charges in and Muta sprays the mist I to Perfects eyes!!!




Perfect rolls out of the ring squirming around ringside as the mist burns his eyes. EMTs rush to aide Perfect and the ref calls for the  bell, ruling this match a no-contest!  





 Main Event: Lex Luger vs Big Bubba w/Jim Cornette                

Luger goes right after Bubba with a series of punches and lands a big atomic drop sending him through the ropes. Luger goes after Bubba on the floor and Cornette tries to get involved and jumps on Luger's back and Luger carries him in to the ring. Bubba catches Luger from behind and lands a series of shots to the back. Bubba sends Luger in to the corner but Luger catches him with a big boot and goes for a big bodyslam but Bubba lands on top for a near fall. Bubba chokes Luger on the ropes and drops down across. Bubba goes for a big splash but misses, Luger comes back and lands a series of punches but Cornette gets involved from the floor and Bubba catches him from the back.

Bubba locks in a bearhug and holds it for a couple minutes. Luger comes back with a big series of clotheslines but Bubba catches him with a side slam and climbs the ropes and misses a big splash. Lugee lands a series of punches and lands a series of shots and a lands a big bodyslam. Luger lands a series of punches but Cornette gets involved from the floor and gives Bubba some handcuffs and Bubba nails Luger with them. Bubba tries to cuff Luger but Lex counters and counters and cuffs Cornette to the ropes and clotheslines Bubba to the floor and then scoops Bubba up in the Torture Rack! Cornette tries his best to get free and help Bubba but it's no use and Bubba has to submit! Luger is your winner!





 Jim Ross: "Lex a very emotional roller coaster for you as of late. Tonight you got the elephant off your back in Big Bubba..... but the one win I know you truly wanted last week, you come up just short in your quest to become the NWA World champion due to a bad timing blunder so to speak during that match!"              



  Unknown voice: "CUT THE MUSIC!"                  











 Shane Douglas: "Did I just hear the word blunder used in a sentence with the name Lex Luger? How ironic! Because as we all know Lugers entire career has been one huge blunder! The man who was supposed to change the face of professional wrestling! The so called future of this business! The man who has had every golden opportunity handed to him, only to fall short every single time! So I'm here to tell ya Luger..... you can go on to the back of the line! Maybe even leave the UWF to be a failure somewhere else again. Because your looking at the real Franchise! The man who is going to set this business on its damn ass! The time for the Lugers....the Flairs..... the Hogans...... its over pal! This is my time! The Franchise is here!"        


Lex Luger: "Ya know..... I've seen guys like you come and go my entire career. And they all do the same thing..... come in running their mouth trying to make an impact. Well I have news for you Douglas..... this isn't the time to be playing games with the Total Package! So one of two things are about to happen..... you can walk out of here with your teeth still in place or I'm about to kick your ass and show you why I am The Total package!"            


Douglas begs off and begins walking away only to have Francine slap Luger in the face! Luger tries holding his emotion but Francine slaps him again! She goes for a third time but Luger grabs her by the wrist! Unseen by Luger, Douglas has now came all the way around the ring only to low blow Luger from behind! Douglas grabs Luger...... belly to belly on the floor! Douglas stands over Luger as Francine hugs Douglas and puts a huge kiss on him. Douglas looks down at Luger and the cameras hear him say..... "Just as I said.... one huge blunder! You just got your ass FRANCHISED!"


Then show fades to black.
