Although we celebrate it as the beginning of summer , it should always be celebrated as way to honor those that chose duty , honor country , for they gave the ultimate Sacrifice. We are at a sold out Memorial Stadium on this Saturday Night before Memorial Day . With me tonight , Verne Gagne from the AWA . Gordon Solie is at ringside . Gentleman we are here .
Verne : A great night of wrestling action , Jim . This is a great way for the NWA to pay tribute. It brings a tear to this Marine’s eyes .
Gordon : As it does all of us . Verne , a great opening segment by you . We would also like to thank Gary Sinease , Sgt . Dan Clark and Ret Naval Petty Officer 1st Class Gerald Wilson for their contributions tonight and the Armed Services band . Finally to those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice so we can continue to live in the greatest count in the world. Jim , Verne a big night in front of us . Any of these matches could be a main event in arena .
Jim Ross : Gordon that’s for sure . Tonight , we will kick it off with a cross promotion match . Tommy “ Wildfire” Rich taking on the man who could be World Heavyweight Champion before Great American Bash ends One Man Gang . Verne , what can you tell is about these two .
Verne : Well let’s start with One Man Gang . He’s big , strong and recently beat two of the toughest guys in our sport on the same night for the right to wrestle the Undertaker . Recently he hospitalized Manny Fernandez in Florida . He’s already very dangerous, but with Sir Oliver Humperdinck in his corner he’s an unstoppable force .
Then there is Tommy “ Wildfire “ Rich , who I will say he’s not afraid to mix it up with anybody . He’s a very well rounded athlete , but when a man breaks the rules , he’s not afraid to take those short cuts and bend the rules back in his favor . He’s got a heart as big as his home state of Tennessee . Don’t be surprised to see an upset here tonight . He’s ranked number 7 in the world for that coveted NWA World Heavyweight Title held by Jimmy Snuka and that doesn’t happen on accident , Jim .

Lance Russell: Hello folks and welcome to Sacrifice. Hey we got a great show here for you tonight. Let’s get it started . This is our opening match .
One fall with a ten minute time limit . First from Hendersonville, Tennessee. This is Wildfire Tommy Rich !!!
His opponent being led to the ring by his manager , Sir Oliver Humperdinck. He hails from Chicago , Illinois. This is One Man Gang !!!!
Gang bullies Rich into the turnbuckles . He bends him back and goes for a big clubbing forearm, but Rich moves and Gang hits the turnbuckles instead . Rich now with an arm wringer and then slams Gang’s hand in the turnbuckles . Rich with an elbow smash , that staggers Gang . Rich goes for the Thesz Press and Gang turns it into a Spinebuster . Gang covers 1……2…… Rich kicks out . Gang hits an elbow drop and then a fall away slam on Rich . He goes for another elbow drop , Tommy moves !! Rich with a dropkick that staggers the big man back to the corner . Rich hits the old mounted ten punch to Gang’s forehead . Gang hits a Makeshift Powerbomb out of the corner. Gang with a 747 . He gets it !!! 1……2……3 !!!!

Jim Ross : Fans welcome back . Jim Crockett has made the match for right after this one . Adam Cole vs Shawn Michaels . Winner will get the National Heavyweight Title shot at the opener for The Great American Bash Saturday Night’s Main Event on June 24th . Right now Verne , it’s time to crown a new WWF East Coast Champion .
Verne : Jim , this is my kind of match . Two very good young men that can counter holds and very back to the basics style of wrestling . There are some differences. Dean Malenko the strong style of Japan mixed in with the junior heavyweight style that is widely popular. Tito a well grounded grappler who uses some limited choice Lucha Libre , but 95 percent of his wrestling is mat based . This could steal the spotlight.
Jim Ross : Well , let’s send it down to Lance Russell .
Lance : All right fans , this is our second match of the evening . It is for the WWF East Coast Championship! First from Tampa , Florida . He is The Iceman Dean Malenko .
And his opponent hails from Tocula , Mexico . This is the amazing , exciting Tito Santana !!!!
Both men exchange arm drags . A couple of hip tosses , they both try a dropkick at the same time . They lock up collar and elbow they tussle into the ropes and break clean . They meet in the center and Tito scores with a side headlock takedown . Malenko works to his feet and gets off a belly to back Suplex . Malenko now goes for the Cloverleaf , but Tito kicks him off . Tito kips up and destroys Makenko with a roaring Larait !!! He covers 1……..2……. Malenko gets a foot on the ropes . Now Tito goes for the Figure Four , but Malenko rolls it over into a Boston Crab . Tito is close to tapping but finds the ropes . Malenko now gets a bit more aggressive and puts the boots to Tito . Tito rolls onto the ring apron , Malenko goes for a baseball slide dropkick , but Tito dives over the ropes and Malenko slides out if the ring and crashes to the floor . His knee is hurt . Tito Suplexes back in upon getting up on the ring apron . Tito puts on the Figure Four !! Malenko submits !!!
Verne : This match was everything I thought it would be and we have a new East Coast Champion . Congratulations to Tito Santana .
Jim Ross : Dean Malenko has nothing to be ashamed of . One hell of a match . When we come back , Shawn Michaels taking on Adam Cole .

Lance Russell : Alright . This match was just made from earlier in the night . On the line is a shot at the National Heavyweight Title At Saturday Night’s Main Event : Great American Bash .
First from Panama City , Florida . Adam Cole !
His opponent the man who currently holds that title shot , from San Antonio , Texas . The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels .
Cole doesn’t come out alone . The Jackson are with him . All 3 are out at ringside . Shawn gives a little excuse me shoulder shrug to the crowd and then goes right into a Flying Tiger Space Drop , knocking all 3 men down . As they slowly stand up , Matt eats Sweet Chin Music . Nick gets some too and Shawn slams Cole into the ring apron and rolls him in the ring . Shawn now hits a flying forearm and then a hip toss into the corner . He hits 10 mounted punches on Cole and then a clothesline . He covers 1…….2…… Cole gets a foot on the ropes . Shawn goes up for a Diving Fist Drop , but eats a leaping enzuguri by Cole .
Cole now with a Firemen’s Carry into a double knee buster . He then hits a Kneelift . He covers 1…….2…… HBK kicks out . Cole hits a DDT . He goes to the second rope and waits . Shawn staggers up , Cole goes for Panama Sunrise and Shawn turns it into a dominator !!! Verne speculates Cole should have tried the pin after the DDT . Cole gets to his knees basement dropkick to the face by Shawn !! Shawn goes up for a flying elbow , but Cole moves !!! Cole with a Code Breaker !! He covers 1…….2….. Shawn is in the ropes !!! Cole now pulls his man up and hits a Falcon Arrow !! 1……2…… Noooo ! Shawn kicks out !! Cole hits a vertical Suplex and then sets for the Superkick . Shawn staggers up , he side steps the Superkick and lands one of his own !!! Nick is up on the ring apron !!! Matt sneaks in the other side . The ref is trying to get Nick down ….. Matt and Cole hit a double Superkick on Shawn ! Matt rolls out of the ring . Nick jumps down . Cole covers just as the ref turns around ….. 1………2……..3 !!!
Verne : Dirty play by those guys Jim .
Ross : I agree , Verne , but the end result is Adam Cole will now face the National Heavyweight Champion a belt which is currently in the hands of Macho Man Randy Savage at The Great American Bash opener on June 24th . Right now I’m being told that Gordon Solie found someone sitting at ringside . Let’s go down there right now .
Gordon : Thank you Jim and Verne . Razor Ramone , what are you doing here ?
Razor : Why is the bad guy at Saturday Night’s main event, Chico ? Where else is there to be . You now , I watch all these stinkin cocharoaches out here and none of them can hold a candle to me . Randy Savage , you need to quit hiding behind your belt Chico and face the Bad Guy , look at all this gold around my neck . And soon Chico , I’ll add your gold around my waist .

Verne : Seems like everybody is gunning for Savage as of late .
JR : Well Randy Savage ain’t ducking anybody . When we come back Progress will crown a the first Atlas Champion .

Progress Atlas Championship Ladder Match : Seth Rollins vs Jonah Rock vs Shinsuke Nakamura vs Will Ospreay vs Keith Lee vs El Hijo Del Vikingo vs Sammy Guevara vs Drew McIntyer (Ladder Match to Determine the Progress Atlas Champion)
The match started with some brawling. Rollins and Sammy Guevara were arguing on the floor, so Ospreay kicked Rollins and Vikingo hit a somersault dive onto Guevara. Ospreay hit a twisting dive off the ropes onto Rollins. McIntyre faced off with Jonah Rock in the ring with Ospreay running into Keith Lee who hit a belly to belly suplex on him. Vikingo jumped onto McIntyre, who tossed Vikingo to the floor. Keith Lee knocked Seth off the apron. Lee faced off with McIntyre with Drew hitting a belly to belly suplex. Lee sent McIntyre to the apron and Lee hit a running Spear to tackle Drew out of the ring. Jonah Rock brought in a ladder, Nakamura kicked him down and Nakamura suplexed Rock on a ladder with Rock landing with his left knee hitting the ladder. Guevara climbed up the ladder, Nakamura shoved the ladder and Guevara did a flip that landed on his feet. Guevara hit a twisting dive over a ladder onto Nakamura. The fans chanted as Guevara did a climb for the ladder, but Nakamura stopped that with punches. Nakamura applied an armbar on Guevara on the ladder. Rollins with a springboard knee on Nakamura. Rollins and Guevara worked together to stomp on Nakamura. Rollins and Guevara knocked Nakamura, Lee and McIntyre off the apron with a ladder. Ospreay ran right into a double team ladder attack from Rollins and Guevara. Guevara with a Samoan drop on Ospreay on the ladder. Vikingo back in, but he was given a back body drop onto a ladder bridge. Guevara dropkicked a ladder into Keith Lee on the floor. Jonah Rock grabbed Rollins out of the ring. Guevara saved Rollins and Seth cleared off the top of the announce table. Rollins tossed the top of the announce table on Vikingo the floor. The fans chanted “we want tables” as a ladder bridge was set up.
Jonah Rock with a kick to the ladder while Guevara and Rollins held it, which led to Jonah hitting a moonsault onto the ladder on both guys. Guevara and Rollins did a double team Falcon Arrow on Jonah onto the side of the ladder. McIntyre was back in with punches, chops and then Rollins hit a forearm on Drew. Guevara with a kick followed by a Rollins elbow that sent McIntyre onto a ladder. Guevara up top, he did a twisting splash and he hit McIntire with an elbow drop while Drew was on the ladder. Rollins hit Guevara with the ladder to knock him out of the ring. Four of the faces went after Rollins and Ospreay hit Seth with an Os-Cutter. Nakamura sent Vikingo to the floor. Ospreay and Nakamura each blocked kicks, then they each connected with a kick and McIntyre hit a double Claymore kick on Nakamura/Ospreay at the same time. McIntyre hit a Future Shock DDT on Keith Lee. McIntyre hit a reverse Alabama Slam sending Vikingo face first into a ladder against the turnbuckle. McIntyre ran the ropes and the big man hit a somersault dive onto the guys on the floor. McIntyre avoided a Rollins attack and hit a Glasgow Kiss headbutt. McIntyre hit the Claymore Kick on Rollins as well. McIntyre climbed the ladder, and we see........

IMPERIUM!
Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci rush the ring to pull Drew down, which led to Walter showing up with a steel chair. Walter hit McIntyre in the ribs and multiple chair shots to the back. Walter ordered Vinci and Kaiser to take Drew to the back, as Jim Ross states this has to stem from the recent challenge made by McIntyre to Walter.
Ospreay did a ladder climb, Vikingo jumped off the ropes onto the ladder. Ospreay sent Vikingo into the top rope and then Vikingo did a springboard somersault attack onto a bunch of guys on the floor! The fans chanted “holy shit” for it as well. Ospreay and Vikingo fought on a ladder. Rollins was on another ladder, Keith Lee took him down and then Ospreay hit multiple Oscutters including one on Vikingo off the ladder. Rollins hit The Stomp on Ospreay. Nakamura hit the Go To Sleep knee on Rollins! Guevara back in with a suplex to Nakamura. Jonah was limping around and hit a Stunner for Guevara along with a Stunner for Nakamura as well. Vikingo blocked a suplex by Jonah, but Jonah hit a Popup Powerbomb. Jonah climbed the bigger ladder in the ring, he reached up, but Keith Lee was there to punch the bad knee and Lee gave Jonah a Powerbomb on the ladder bridge by the apron to the table. Holy shit! Jonah landed high on his back/neck area. The referees checked on Jonah. The fans chanted “this is awesome” for them. Rollins climbed the ladder and Nakamura was there to stop Rollins with punches. Nakamura had Rollins on his shoulders and Nakamura hit a GTS from the ladder. Shinsuke climbed the ladder, the fans were cheering...... Shinsuke reached up and grabbed the title to end the match! Your winner, and first ever Progress Atlas Champion....... SHINSUKE NAKAMURA!!!!!!!
JR : Now that was a slobber knocker .
Verne : Shinsuke Nakumura has waited a long time to be a champion . Tonight he finally is . Hard work and determination pays off .

Lance Russell : Alright . This match is an Iron Man Steel Cage Match for the AWA Tag Team Championship . 30 minutes . Team with the most pinfalls or submissions wins . First the challengers making their way to the ring . Ricky , Robert !! The Rock N …… what the hell ?!??
Condrey and Eaton attack RNR from behind . Eaton waffles Gibson in the back of the head with a chair . He is out cold . Condrey is repeatedly slamming Ricky’s arm into the cage door over and over again . Condrey rolls Morton in the ring . Eaton gets in end cage and locks it behind them . Condrey puts on a cross arm breaker . Eaton in the meantime is stomping on Ricky’s head . He’s a bloody mess . Security comes out and unlocks the cage . They get in . EMT’s take an unconscious Gibson out if the arena . Now they check on on Morton . The ref calls Lance Russell to ringside .
Lance : Fans . Robert Gibson while now is awake , has appeared to have a concussion. Ricky Morton has sustained a separated shoulder and has lost a tremendous amount of blood . They cannot compete in this match . Therefore your winners by forfeit and still AWA Tag Team Champions . The Midnight …..
Jim and David Crockett come down to the ring .
David : Sorry to interrupt Lance . This behavior will not be rewarded .
Jim : That’s right David and I talked it over . We have decided that the AWA Tag Team Titles will be defended on the next available date . That date is Friday June 16th at Wrestle Rock 2 . You will be facing The Rock N Roll Express if they are healthy . If not or will be another AWA Tag Team . Oh and this cage will be involved .
JR : That’s serves them bastards right !!!
Verne : I hope Ricky and Robert get that shot .

Before Lance makes his announcement. Bobby Lashle takes the mic.
Lashley : Lance sorry to interrupt. This will only take a second . Before you two bulls Clash and give these fans what I'm sure will be one hell of a battle..... I'm here to let it be known..... that on July 18th, in my hometown of Denver, Colorado..... I challenge The winner of this match to face me for that NWA World Heavyweight Title!
Lashley stands toe to toe with Luger and shakes his hand. Then Lashley turns to Undertaker and after a few seconds, Lashley also shakes Takers hand, then leaves the ring.
One Man Gang meets him in the isle . The mic can pick up Gang telling Lashley , he won’t have to worry about either man . Because on June 24th at SNME Great American Bash , he will be the World Heavyweight Champion . There is a stare down . Neither man is leaving the isle . Finally security comes out and separates them before things get crazy .
Lance : Fans this is our main event of the evening and it is for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship .
First the challenger . From Chicago , Illinois standing 6’6 . He weighs in at 279 pounds he is the Total Package , Lex Luger !!!!
His opponent . From Death Valley , Texas . Standing 6ft 10 inches . He weighs in tonight at 310 pounds . The NWA World Heavyweight Champion . The American Bad Ass , The Undertaker .
The two meet right in the middle of the ring . There is some talking and then both men shove one another . Luger strikes first with a clothesline . The blow plows Taker back into the turnbuckles where Luger lands several knees to the ribs and then hits a side belly to belly ! Luger goes for a knee drop , but Taker sits up . He now grabs Lex and goes right for a chokeslam , but Lex counters into the Torture Rack !!! Verne and JR are already proclaiming victory for Lex . Taker though slightly shifts his weight and is able to counter into a half kind of DDT !!! Both men lay on the mat , but Luger is up first . Luger with a back breaker and then a Powerslam !!! Luger covers 1……..2……..Nooooo !!! Taker kicks out !!! Luger now with another back breaker and then puts Taker into a back body Vice !!! Taker’s feet find the turnbuckles and he’s able to push off and gets off a crossbody !! He gets 1…..Luger kicks out . Verne tells JR that right now Luger seems in better condition at this point than Taker !! Luger drives Taker into the corner and lays several shoulders into the ribs . Now Luger works a Bearhug !!!
Taker hammers fist into the forehead of Luger and gets out . Taker blast him with an uppercut that puts Lex out over the top rope . Now Taker bounds off with a flying clothesline on the outside !!! Taker with a bodyslam on the floor and now rolls Luger in . Luger staggers up , Taker with a fist drop off the top rope puts Luger down !! Taker covers 1……..2……..Noooooo !! Luger kicks out . Taker whips his man off the ropes , Flying Lariat by Taker !! Taker now goes for a Powerbomb , but Luger counters out , lands on his feet and gets off a Vertical !!! Luger now uses a body scissors!!! Taker gets to the ropes . Luger knees him on the ribs off the break and then hits a makeshift Spinebuster !!! Luger now goes for a Piledriver!!! Taker back drops out of it . From there Taker hits a big boot !!! Luger goes out over the ropes . His feet hit the floor , but he stumbles backward and his head hits the guard rail !! Taker goes out after . He rolls in a groggy Luger and then as Luger staggers up , Taker hits another flying Larait !!! Taker now with a Tombstone! He covers 1…….2…….3 !!!!
Lance : Fans the time of the fall . 31 minutes and 17 seconds. Your winner and still NWA World Heavyweight Champion . The Undertaker !!!
Verne : What a match . I think if Lex doesn’t stumble snd knock himself out basically , he would be World Heavyweight Champion .
