A Word From Jim Crockett Jr.
Jim Crockett: Hello wrestling fans . It brings me great pleasure to announce that the following companies have made an alliance along with my self and my brother David to form an exciting partnership. In 2008 the National Wrestling Alliance disbanded and out of the remains of what was left two separate governing bodies were formed .
For years fans have clamored on the internet wanting the return of the NWA . A small regional company took the name and ran with it very successfully, however times change but some things remain the same . I am proud to announce that the brand new National Wrestling Alliance is now the main governing body for a global network of regional wrestling promotions .
These promotions are as followed . The Universal Wrestling Federation out of Texas , Oklahoma, Missouri and Arkansas. They will announce a President and Television Network real soon .
Florida Championship Wrestling obviously ran out of the sunshine state of Florida . It will be headed by President Eddie Graham . A television deal will be announced at a later date .
California Championship Wrestling out of the golden state of California. The President Roy Shires . There will also be a television network announced at a later date for this as well .
The American Wrestling Association is back and joining the NWA . It will be helmed by President Wally Karbo . Its stated consist of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and the country of Canada . WGN will be the home station for all the action .
Finally International Grand Prix Wrestling. It’s President Master Antonio Inoki who will also double as ringside commentator for Japan television . American Television the action can be seen on FOX . Its territory will consist of Hawaii and the country of Japan .
I will announce soon two different tourneys to crown The World Heavyweight Champion and the World Tag Team Champions . The World Heavyweight Champion will be crowned at King of the Ring and the World Tag Team Champions will be crowned at the Crockett Cup. Our fist announcement though . Jan . 28th , live from the Tokyo Dome The Royal Rumble . The winner will be crowned the first World Television Champion . Also that night a Four Man Tourney Final to crown the World Super Junior Heavyweight Champion .
