Big Time Wrestling #27 The Path to Gold
Sam : Hello Fans and welcome to the Cow Palace . We have capacity crowd on hand here is San Francisco. Tonight begins the opening round of to see who will face the World Heavyweight Champion on October 29th at the Spooktacular. Elizabeth Savage has joined me here tonight . This is an exciting night to say the least young lady .
Liz : Sam , we have been wanting to come to this historic venue since we moved . There are meccas that every wrestling fan should make , New York’s Madison Square Garden , The Omni in Atlanta , The Sportitorium in Texas , The Midsouth Coliseum in Tennessee , The All State Arena in Chicago and here in San Francisco, it’s the Cow Palace and this is also where we will have The Spooktacular. Tonight , 6 matches in total tonight Sam .
Sam : Yep , Elizabeth and all have title implications . Of course the opening round of the tournament tonight let’s run that down .
Big Show vs Fred Blassie
Sgt . Slaughter vs Jim Duggan
John Cena vs Mike Awesome
The Rock vs Arn Anderson
Liz : Then from there , Lacey Evans defends her North American Women’s Title against number one contender Nikkita Lyons.
Sam : That will be a good one , but what a main event , IWA World Television Champion Manny Fernandez here and we will take on Kazuchika Okada .
Liz : That will be a match for the ages . Sam , when we come back , Fred Blassie will take on Big Show !!!

Fred Blassie vs Big Show : Blassie uses a lot of dirty tactics . He keeps Show on the mat for most of the match, choking him and eye gouging him . Show starts to overcome however . His size and power take over the match . He hits a sidewalk slam and then sets up for a chokeslam, but Blassie while lifted sinks in the Mandible Claw!! Show passes out and Blassie moves on .
Liz : Sam what a move out if the chokeslam by Blassie .
Sam : Very quick thinking for sure . Fans when we come back the North American Women’s title is on the line .

North American Woman’s Title : Lacey Evans vs Nikita Lyons : Lacey takes the renowned martial artist lightly and has trouble . Lyons late in the match gets off a capoeira kick , covers 1……2…… Bell !!!!
Liz : Nikkita just took our champion to a time limit draw .
Sam : Elizabeth, even more impressive she was one second away from becoming new champion . I’m sure she gets an automatic rematch .
Liz : I’m sure Sam , when we come back the tourney continues.

Sgt . Slaughter vs Jim Duggan : Duggan has a score to settle and he goes right at Sarge . He backs him up with big fist . Duggan with shoulders in the corner . Sarge stumbles out if the corner , big running clothesline by Duggan . He covers 1…..2….. Noooo ! Sarge kicks out .
Duggan goes to pulls his man up , Sarge fires a fist to the mid section and then a clothesline by Sarge . He chokes Duggan on the ropes . Then lands Crossface forearms to the face . The ref counts to five , but Sarge doesn’t quit . The ref DQ’s Sarge .
Liz : Well it’s not the way he wanted , but tomorrow night , right back here in the Cow Palace , Jim Duggan will move on . Sam up next , should be a fantastic match .
Sam : That’s right , Elizabeth, we’ll have Mike Awesome taking on John Cena when we come back.

Mike Awesome vs John Cena : The two meet right in the middle of the ring and throw some big forearm shots , neither giving any quarter . Awesome bounds off the ropes for a flying shoulder tackle , but Cena side steps and Awesome goes sailing out of the ring . Cena waits , as soon as Awesome is in , Cena is on him . Belly to back Suplex and then two shoulder tackles . Cena with the five knuckle shuffle and then goes for the FU .
Awesome elbows his way out and then nails a short spinning forearm . Awesome with a standing dropkick . Awesome now with a fall away slam , he goes up for the Awesome Splash, but Cena moves . Awesome staggers up , FU by Cena ….. 1……2….. Nooooo !!! Awesome shocks everyone by kicking out . Cena is in a loss . Awesome with a buckle bomb and then an Awesome Splash !! He covers and gets the shocking upset of 3 !!!
Post match the two stand in the middle of the ring and shake hands .
Liz : Respect is earned .
Sam : We have two more matches left , when we come back our first of two main events . Manny Fernandez puts the IWA World Television Title on the line against Kazuchika Okada and then the Rock vs Arn Anderson in our tourney will wrap us up .
Liz : This gets better and better . Sam .
Sam : Yes it does . We’ll be right back .

IWA World Television Title Manny Fernandez vs Kazuchika Okada: There is an exchange of arm drags and headlocks . This incredible pace of chain wrestling goes for a full five minutes before Manny pulls the trigger on a Kneelift that forces Okada over the top rope . Manny springs off the ropes and flips into a Con Helo !!! Manny rolls Okada back in and hits a Backfist and then a sidekick that puts Okada on the mat . Manny waits , spinning head scissors takedown . Okada gets to the ropes and we get a clean break .
Okada shoots in and scores waist lock takedown and then uses a reverse body scissors. Manny gets to his feet and flips over into a pinning combo for two . Both men up to their feet , Okada with a standing dropkick that puts Manny in the corner . Okada puts Manny on the top rope , Superplex by Okada !!! 1……2……. Noooooo !!! Manny kicks out . Both men now hit each other with chops , Okada with a Code Breaker !! He waits , Manny staggers up , swinging neck breaker by Okada !!! Okada now ….. RAINMAKER !!!! 1……..2…….. Fernandez with a foot on the ropes !!! Okada is beside himself . He goes to pull Manny up , small package from Fernandez !! 1……2……3 !!!
Liz : A brilliant move taking advantage of a distraught Okada . Okada took one second too long and gave Manny enough time to get his faculties.
Sam : And then rolls him up into a small package for the 3 !!! Just brilliant !!!
Liz : And Sam we got the second half of our main event , next .
Sam : It’s The Rock in tourney action taking on newcomer Arn Anderson and it’s next !!!

The Rock vs Arn Anderson : The two meet right in the middle of the ring and there is some trash talking . Arn isn’t impressed , he pie faces Rock . Rock slaps Arn , Arn slaps Rock . Now the two exchange fist . The crowd is on their feet . Rock gets the better of the exchange . He spits on his hand ….. SMACKDOWN TO ARN !! Rock waits as Arn staggers up , he goes for a Samoan Drop , but Arn turns it into a swinging neck breaker . Now Arn gets Rock on the ropes and knees the shit out of him in the back .
Arn with an Anderson slam and now uses a Hammerlock . Rock gets up to his feet . Back elbow to Arn then an over the head belly to belly! Rock bounds off the ropes , flying clothesline . Rock kips up , Arn staggers to his feet , bodyslam by Rock . Sam and Liz discuss that maybe he should have gone for The Rock Bottom . Rock though goes for the People’s Elbow , Arn moves ! Rock gets to his feet , Arn with a DDT !! He covers 1…..2……Rock kick out . Arn sets for the Gordbuster , Rock turns it into a DDT ! Rock now sets , he goes for the Rock Bottom , but Arn elbows out and hits a gut buster ! Arn waits as Rock gets to his feet ….. SPINEBUSTER BY ARN !!!! He covers 1…….2…….Nooooo !!! Rock kicks out !!!
Rock with a Samoan Drop and now goes into a Sharpshooter . Sam and Liz talk about how Rock has a submission on the submission specialist , Arn Anderson . Arn gets to to the ropes . Rock picks him up and puts him on the top rope . Superplex by Rock !!! Rock with cover ….. 1…….2…… Nooooo !! Rock pulls Arn to his feet …… ROCK BOTTOM !!!! Arn immediately has a foot in the ropes !!! Rock pounds the mat in frustration ! He goes for another Rock Bottom ….. GORDBUSTER BY ARN !!!! He covers 1…….2…….3 !!!!
Sam : It’s all over . Arn Anderson advances .
Liz : Sam tomorrow night here at the Cow Palace we have a hell of a show lined up .

And our main event is an exciting Sixman Tag . The World Tag Team Champions Big Van Vader and Bam Bam Bigelow will team with the X Division Champion MJF to take on The Armstrongs and Jungle Jack Perry .
