Show opens with a shot of the XWA Arena (The Du Burns arena, on the shores of the inner harbor in Baltimore, Maryland) .... We go up to the announce table, which is positioned up on the stage, and join Tom Phillips and Renee Young for a breakdown of what we are going to see tonight ....


Josh Matthews and Renee Young are at the announce table (which is set up on top of the stage rather than at ringside) .... They talk about last weeks show, then about tonight's ....

Highlight package of last weeks XWA cup preliminary matches ....

Tonight we will see the final preliminary matches of the XWA cup .... But first, we go up to the ring for our first match ....


Baron Corbin -vs- RD Evans

Corbin walks calmly to the ring and you can sense the intensity bubbling underneath the surface .... The bell rings, and the fans start counting .... '1 ... 2 ... 3 ... 4 ... 5' .... Evans attacks Corbin, who stops him cold with a big lariat .... Corbin scoops him up and nails him with his finisher 'The End of Days' (lifting swinging reverse STO) for the pin in about 30 seconds ....

Corbin says nothing and leaves the ring just like he came in .... This guy is already really over with the crowd ....


BACKSTAGE - Kevin Kelly is with Kyle O'Reiley and Bobby Fish, aka ReDragon .... O'Reiley and Fish cut a promo on their brewing rivalry with the Ascension .... ReDragon insist that the Ascension is not even in their league because they are pound for pound the best tag team in the world .... They lay out a challenge to any team in XWA to face them tonight ....




XWA CUP PRELIMINARY ROUND: 'The Blueprint' Matt Morgan w/ Eric Bischoff -vs- 'The Universal Soldier' Phil Shatter (Gunner)

Bischoff comes out before the match and proclaims Morgan to be the next XWA champion since he is the hand-picked 'face' of the network .... Gunner is not intimidated .... This one contains a lot of power and is not a technical masterpiece to say the least .... Gunner holds his own, even hitting his finisher (F5) on Morgan and has the pin .... Bischoff reaches in and puts Morgans foot on the bottom rope .... Gunner chases Bischoff, which allows Morgan to recover and nail Gunner outside the ring with the Carbon Footprint .... Morgan tosses Gunner back in and plants him with a choke slam for the 3 count .... Morgan advances to the XWA Cup ....


BACKSTAGE - Paul Heyman is in his office and he has an announcement .... He says there have been changes to the preliminary match tonight involving John Morrison .... Morrison is not going to be here because he is no longer part of XWA .... Heyman says that he has found someone to replace Morrison that will not disappoint .... And that debut is next ....


Queue Paul Heymans music and he comes out to introduce John Morrisons replacement .... He puts him over as the biggest international star wrestling on US soil, and he brings out ....

.... Magnus????

Heyman looks surprised to see Magnus come out, and Magnus takes the mic from Heyman and cuts a promo about how he knows Heyman was about to introduce him as the top international star .... It is time for the 'Reign of Magnus' ....


Magnus is interrupted as Oriental music hits and out comes the man Heyman was originally going to introduce ....





.... KENTA!!!!

Crowd pops like crazy as Kenta enters the ring, and Magnus tries a cheap shot but Kenta unleashes a flurry of kicks .... The math is on!!!!


XWA CUP PRELIMINARY ROUND: Kenta -vs- Magnus

Kenta is in total control to start, nailing Magnus with kicks and forearms .... Magnus bails out, but Kenta nails a suicide dive .... Magnus 'pearl harbors' Kenta on the way back in, and now he controls the match .... He tries to ground Kenta with rest holds, but Kenta fires back .... Kenta hits the flying knee, then he scoops Magnus up for the 'Go 2 Sleep' .... Magnus slips out and nails a spinebuster .... He sits Kenta on the top and goes for a super plex but Kenta fights him off and knocks him to the mat .... DIVING DOUBLE STOMP BY KENTA!!!! 1 .... 2 .... 3 .... That's it!

Kenta is super over as the fans chant for him as he celebrates his win ....


VIDEO PACKAGE - highlight package of the developing feud between Brent Albright and Silas Young ....


XWA CUP PRELIMINARY ROUND: 'Pro Wrestlings Last Real Man' Silas Young -vs- 'The Shooter' Brent Albright

This rivalry has become very personal in a short amount of time .... There is some pushing and shoving to start, but then both men try to out-do one another by out wrestling them .... Albright gets the advantage, then offers a fake handshake to Young (this whole thing started over Young refusing to shake Albright's hand) .... Young slaps Albright across the face, which sets off a crazy brawl between the 2 .... Both men battle to a stalemate, and the action quickly spills out of the ring .... The brawl goes into the crowd as the ref continues to count .... BOTH MEN ARE COUNTED OUT!!!!


the cameras follow their brawl as it goes through the backstage area .... They end up in catering, where Albright ends up slapping on the crowbar on the buffet table!!!! Albright refuses to let go .... Heyman himself has to come in and help break it up, and he gets pissed and has both men tossed out of the building!!!!


Paul Heyman comes stomping out to the ring .... He is pissed .... He says that he is going to have no byes in this tournament, and if Albright and Young can't get their crap together long enough to wrestle a decent match, then he has 2 guys that can ....

He has a standby match in place, and one of these 2 guys will have a chance to qualify for the XWA cup!


XWA CUP PRELIMINARY ROUND: 'Savior of Misbehavior' Corey Graves -vs- Ezekiel Jackson

Graves gets a big pop when he comes out, and Big Zeke is put over as being a former XWA champion .... Graves can't combat the power of Jackson, so he tries to stick and move and go for the legs .... Zeke counters with his significant power advantage .... However, the attack by Graves on the legs pays off in the end as Jackson's leg buckles while trying to go for a power bomb .... Graves chop blocks the knee of Jackson, then locks on his 'Lucky 13' leg submission .... Jackson cannot reach the ropes, and the bigger man has no choice but to tap out! Graves makes his XWA debut and earns a spot in the XWA cup!!!!




VIGNETTE - We get a vignette for XWA's newest signee Uhaa Nation .... Nation is 6 ft and 240 pounds but flies around like a cruiserweight .... We get clips of Nation from the independent circuit that really hypes Nation's debut with XWA ....


XWA CUP PRELIMINARY ROUND: 'Innovator of Violence' Tommy Dreamer -vs- Abyss

This is the final XWA cup preliminary match .... This match is the total opposite of the wrestling we have seen so far, as this is a total brawl .... The ref lets it go, even when Abyss and Dreamer brawl around ringside and into the front row .... A fan is holding up a sign that says 'TOMMY USE MY SIGN' and Dreamer takes it and smashes it over Abyss' head .... He tears away the covering to reveal a stop sign underneath .... Abyss busts out the thumbtacks, and choke slams Dreamer into the tacks!!!! Dreamer looks like a human pin cushion! Abyss goes for the Black Hole Slam into the tacks, but Dreamer fights him off and hits a low blow using a kendo stick brought into the ring!!!! Dreamer nails a DDT!!!! 1 ... 2 ... Nooooo! Abyss kicks out! Dreamer goes to the top with a chair, then brings it down full force on the head of Abyss!!!! He's still on his feet!!!! Dreamer hits a Russian leg sweep into the tacks!!!! Now Abyss is covered in tacks! Dreamer hooks the leg and holds Abyss down for the 3 count!

A bloody Tommy Dreamer advances to the XWA Cup ....


Redragon (Kyle O'Reiley & Bobby Fish) -vs- Enzo Amore & Colin Cassidy

Enzo and Big Cass come out and accept the challenge of ReDragon .... The crowd is solidly behind them, but ReDragon is tag team excellence .... Enzo and Cass get some offense in, but ReDragon take out Cassidy and once that happens Enzo has no chance .... They actually hit the 'Fall of Man' (the double team finisher of the Ascension) to get the pin on Enzo for 3!

Of course, this brings out the Ascension who doesn't appreciate the finish at all .... Ascension hit the ring, but ReDragon bails out .... Viktor has the mic, and they issue a challenge to ReDragon for a match at the XWA cup!!!!

Ascension stares down ReDragon as the show ends ....
