Jim Ross: "Hello everybody and welcome to Tokyo Japan as we bring to you the WCW Japan Supershow! Jesse, we are here..... 5,500 miles later and a little over 24 hours removed from Wrestle Kingdom! We may be running on fumes, but it's an honor to be in Tokyo tonight!" Jesse Ventura: "Without a doubt Jim Ross! Although, you may be tired..... "The Body" is just getting started. So if you need a nap, don't worry.... I got this!" Jim Ross: "I don't know how anybody could sleep through the lineup we have tonight! And we are gonna kick it off with a three team tornado match for the WCW Tag team titles!" Match One: The Lucha Brothers vs The Young Bucks vs Ricochet & Matt Sydal ( Tornado Match for the WCW Tag Titles Nick starts off taking down both Penta and Ricochet with an armdrag/headscissor combo, but Penta knocks both men down with Slingblades. His brother comes in to save him from Matt Sydal. Sydal hits a Slice/Jawbreaker combo on Matt Jackson and Fenix respectively before putting a Muta Lock on Matt. Penta KILLS Sydal’s leg with a running punt to break it, and Everyone misses flips! SEXTUPLE DROPKICKS! SUPERKICKS ON RICOCHET AND SYDAL! That leaves both teams of brothers in the ring with each other, and they have Cero Miedo/Suck It battles! The Bucks are angry at being foiled at their own game. DOUBLE SPACEMAN DIVES! Ricochet and Sydal are in control after that insanity, hitting a Moonsault/SSP combo on Nick for a two count. Penta and Fenix take Ricochet out with a Superkick Sandwich, and killing Sydal with a barrage of Lungblowers. PENTA CASADORA FACEBUSTERS FENIX INTO A SPLASH! 1......2......The Bucks break up the pin!! Matt propels his brother into a Frankensteiner that knocks Fenix out of the ring, and they hit Sydal with the headscissor/dropkick combo. Sydal reverses a Penta brainbuster into a Rana, and his brother eats a superkick from the Bucks… who superkick Ricochet out of midair! SYDAL KILLS FENIX WITH A LEAPING FRANKENSTEINER FROM THE FLOOR TO THE APRON! PENTA HITS NICK WITH A PACKAGE PILEDRIVER ON THE APRON! RICOCHET HITS PENTA WITH A FUCKING DESTROYER ON THE APRON! SPRINGBOARD DDT ON THE APRON FROM MATT!!! The Bucks have Sydal alone in the ring, but miss double superkicks. Ricochet hits Penta with a Reverse Rana, but Penta rolls through and crumbles him with a superkick! Orihara Moonsault scores from Sydal onto everybody, and it’s one-upped by a Tornillo from Rey Fenix. DOUBLE JUMP TOPE CON HILO FROM NICK JACKSON! Ricochet HANDSPRINGS out of an X Factor and HITS A DOUBLE JUMP SHOOTING STAR that hits the light! He runs into a Matt Jackson superkick though, and Matt goes up top… and escapes a Matt Sydal super rana. He Buckle Bombs Ricochet into his partner, and the Bucks hit a Double Stomp/Dominator on Sydal. Fenix superkicks Nick to break up a pinfall, but Matt catches him on an Apron Moonsault and attempts to Meltzer Drive him on the floor, but Penta breaks it with a Superkick. Fenix gets on his brother’s shoulders… BUT RICOCHET HITS A SPRINGBOARD CUTTER ON FENIX BEFORE HE CAN DIVE! METEORA ON PENTA! 450 CAUGHT BY RICOCHET! DOUBLE BENADRYLLER! SHOOTING STAR MELTZER DRIVER ON MATT! STEREO SHOOTING STAR’S EAT KNEES! SUPERKICK PARTY FROM PENTA AND FENIX! Sydal takes down both Lucha Brothers with kicks and hits Penta with a step-up Reverse Rana! Sydal goes up top, but Fenix catches him and feeds him to Penta for a Pumphandle Driver. Tequila Shot scores for Fenix, 1.....2..... but Ricochet breaks up the pin! Ricochet makes Penta superkick his brother and Zig Zags Penta, and he spikes Fenix with a rolling DDT! SPACEMAN DIVE FROM RICOCHET OVER THE POST ONTO THE BUCKS! POWERBOMB ONTO THE KNEE FROM PENTAGON! SWANTON FROM FENIX! RICOCHET KICKS OUT! PACKAGE PILEDRIVER/DESTROYER FROM FENIX AND PENTA! 1......2.......3!!! THE LUCHA BROTHER'S RETAIN THE WCW TAG TEAM TITLES!
Jim Ross: "MY GAWD!!! THERE WAS MORE TRAFFIC IN THAT CONTEST THAN DOWNTOWN TOKYO! And while The Lucha Brothers retain the titles here tonight, I for one, wouldn't mind seeing this contest again soon! But right now, the mood is about to change as we head back up to the ring!" Match Two: Samoa Joe vs Nigel McGuiness They start with some chain wrestling. Things start to get heated early on and Joe dumps McGuinness to the floor. Joe goes for the elbow suicida but McGuinness avoids it. McGuinness goes to the apron and Joe sweeps his legs out from under him, and then swings him head-first into the guardrail. Joe hits two Ole Kicks and then tries to throw McGuinness back in the ring. McGuinness rebounds though and nails Joe with a lariat. Back in the ring McGuinness goes to work, hitting a mule kick. McGuinness goes to work on the arm and shoulder now. He charges into the corner, right into an STJoe. Then Joe hits the Big Joe Combo, but can’t cover right away and only gets two. McGuinness comes back with the Guns of Brixton combo for two. He hits a running European Uppercut and a short-arm lariat for two. McGuinness tries the Tower of London but Joe avoids it. Unfortunately for Joe, McGuinness is able to hit it on the second attempt but still only gets a two-count. Joe is able to get up to the second rope and hit a huge nee strike for two. Joe hits the snap powerslam for two. He follows with the powerbomb for two and turns it into the STF and then the Crossface. McGuinness reaches the ropes. Joe tries a lariat but McGuinness ducks and hits one of his own. McGuinness goes for the Tower of London again but this time on the apron. Joe avoids it and is able to trap McGuinness for a Muscle Buster on the apron! Joe rolls in the ring as Nigel looks to be be injured, laying on the ringapron.
Referees come out and start walking McGuinness to the back as Ross and Ventura surmise that the match is over. Joe gets on the microphone and is angry that the match is ending this way. He says he didn't travel all the way to Japan to watch Nigel be carried out...... be came her for a undisputed victory! McGuinness slowly walks back to the ring and slaps Joe across the face! The fight is back on! Joe has the advantage still, hitting another Muscle Buster. 1.....2...... McGuiness kicks out! Joe hits a big lariat, 1.....2..... but again McGuinness kicks out! He hits another one and this time McGuinness kicks out at one! McGuinness gets a quick schoolboy rollup for two. He tries the headstand but Joe kicks him square in the face. Joe then locks in the Choke and McGuinness is out at 22:51.
Match Three: Owen Hart & Davey Boy Smith vs Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard Arn takes Owen down to start with a little pull of the hair then Arn pops Davey Boy in the jaw. Owen sends Anderson to the floor so Davey can give him a few receipts as everything breaks down. Owen and Davey clean house until it’s Owen hammering on Arn’s jaw and slapping him in the face.
Owen vs. Tully now as things slow down with Hart cranking on an armbar. Davey comes in and uses the same hold to draw in Arn, allowing Owen and Davey to change without a tag. The Horsemen try to change without a tag but the referee won’t allow it. Blanchard cranks on Daveys arm and Anderson tries to come in again, only to have the Horsemen get dropkicked outside. They come right back in and try a double suplex on Davey but Owen catches his partner and a double superkick sent the Horsemen to the floor.
Back in and Anderson gets in a knee to Owens back as the Horsemen take over. Owen moonsaults over Arn in the corner and gets two off a hurricanrana as everything breaks down. A double dropkick apiece puts the Horsemen on the floor again. Tully comes back in but gets the slingshot suplex countered into a rollup for two. He and Owen head outside again where Arn gets in a cheap shot on Owen.
Arn sends Owen into Tully’s knee in the corner and we hit the chinlock on Hart. Owen flips Tully over but it’s Arn coming right back in with a shot to the back. He misses a series of elbow drops and gets caught in a sunset flip but is able to walk over to Tully for the tag before Owen can take him down. Blanchard sends Owen to the floor but gets rammed face first into the buckle. A top rope cross body gets two for Owen but Arn breaks up another hot tag attempt.
We hit the abdominal stretch and the Horsemen actually get caught changing without tagging. Not that it matters as Arn puts Owen in a reverse chinlock to draw Davey back in so Tully can get in a cheap shot. Tully comes in and takes it to the mat but gets caught in a backslide for two. Owen dives for the tag but can’t slap Davey’s hand to keep the beating going.
The spinebuster from Anderson gets two but Anderson crotches himself on Owen’s knees. Davey Boy comes in to clean house suplexing Blanchard but Arn trips him up and holds the boot to give Tully the pin.
Match Four: Toni Storm vs Bull Nakano for the WCW Womens title In true Japanese tradition, two little girls present each lady with some roses before the match. The bell rings and Bull offers a handshake, and then kicks Storm in the stomach. Storm escapes a powerbomb attempt and hits a dropkick. She tries a second one, but Bull just swats her down. She grabs Storm by the hair and tosses her across the ring, and that draws some awes from the crowd. Nakano drops a leg for a two count. Bull hooks in a reverse chinlock, but the champ gets to the ropes to break. Storm rallies and gets a modified hurricanrana for two, but gets caught in a chokebomb. Nakano hooks in a deep Boston Crab, but modifies it by using one hand to hook both legs. Storm crawls to the ropes, and Bull releases the hold. She immediately targets the back, and locks in another submission, but is forced to break the hold as she was holding onto the hair. Storm gets a desperation roll-up, but Bull is out at two and locks in a cross armbreaker. She lets the champ up, and that proves to be a mistake as Storm hits several hooking clotheslines for two. She preps for a powerbomb, but Bull is too big and easily backdrops out of the hold. She gets a slam, but Storm slides out at two, and then just killed with a clothesline. Bull gets caught in a back slide, but she escapes. Storm charges and gets caught with a powerbomb for two as the crowd is really getting into this match. Bull heads up top, but misses the butt splash. Storm hits the German Suplex followed up by The Perfect Storm to get the pinfall.
Match Five: The Road Warriors vs Big Van Vader & Bam Bam Bigelow The Warriors charge the ring and send the Bigelow and Vader to the floor under a barrage of forearms. Bigelow starts us off proper and he is quickly downed with big blows from both Warriors. Vader tags in and hits a Thunder chop on Hawk and Hawk falls backward in a daze. Animal uses a bear hug on Vader, but he falls for a Vader bomb. Bigelow then tags in and Hawk immediately ramps up the stiffness to 11 as he powerslams Bigelow into the mat.
Animal slams Hawk into Bigelow in a cool spot. Vader tags in and Hawk goes right back to selling, giving Vader a near-fall off a Russian leg sweep. Animal is then rocked with a big boot. Vader is hit with a Doomsday Device, but he rolls to the ropes to avoid being pinned. The Warriors attack Vader and Bigelow and the two teams fight around ringside, using anything that isn't tied down to beat each other with. The ref calls for the bell and rules this match a no contest.
Main Event: Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Adam Cole for the WCW Heavyweight title They tie up and Tanahashi takes Cole to the ropes. Clean break and Air Guitar by The Ace. Another tie up. Arm wrench by Tanahashi. Cole rolls his way out of that. But Tanahashi gets a headlock in. Cole grabs the hair and Tanahashi responds in kind. They let go at the same time. Cole gets Tanahashi in the corner. Adam Cole Bay Bay taunt. Cole charges him in the corner. Tanahashi ducks out and gives his own Tanahashi Bay Bay chant! He gets Cole in an abdominal stretch, does the chant again, and starts using Cole as a damn air guitar!!!
Tanahashi gets flipped to the apron. Cole hits a big enziguri to Tanahashi sending him to the floor. Cole runs out and throws Tanahashi into the rail. He then throws Tanahashi into the other guard rail. They both go back in the ring. Cole continues to work on Tanahashi with stomps and a foot choke in the corner. Adam Cole with a snap suplex for a 2. Knees to the back of Tanahashi. Cole runs the ropes over and over. He gets a headlock in, but Tanahashi reverses it easily. Cole gets out, but Tanahashi gets a flying forearm in. Tanahashi now with an offensive flurry. Somersault Senton splash by Tanahashi for a 2. Tanahashi runs into a boot and gets hit with Ushigaroshe for a 2 by Adam Cole.
Cole climbs the middle rope. Misses the Canadian Destroyer attempt. Tanahashi gets Cole down. He misses a somersault senton splash on Cole. Shining Wizard by Cole to the back of the head for a 2. Kick to the knee of Cole. Cole gets Tanahashi back down and spits on the back of his head. Adam Cole Bay Bay taunt countered into a Straight Jacket German by Tanahashi for a 2. Forearms by both men. Back and forth. European uppercut by Tanahashi. Big jumping enziguri by Cole. Superkick by Cole x2. The third is caught. Twist and Shout by Tanahashi! SLING BLADE! 1.... 2......NO!!! He's going up to the top. High Fly Flow INTO KNEES! LAST SHOT by Cole. 1....2.....NO! Cole climbs up the ropes. HIGH FLY FLOW by ADAM COLE! 1....2....kickout!!!
Cole is sitting in the corner thinking of his next move. Dueling chants by the audience. Cole picks up Tanahashi. He taunts the crowd again. Superkick by Tanahashi. He climbs up the corner. HIGH FLY FLOW into a SUPERKICK!!! SHINING WIZARD to the face of Tanahashi for a 2!!!! Last Shot by Cole!!!! 1.....2......3!!!! ADAM COLE RETAINS THE WCW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE!!!
