Cold open to this weeks show is marked by the arrival of Johnny Gargano ....


* the announce team recap the crazy events of last weeks show * .... Gargano is holding one of the Paradigm tag team titles and Mauro confirms that, as crazy as it sounds, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa are now the Paradigm tag team champions .... Gargano takes the mic and says he has had a whirlwind week.  He says he holds this belt in his hands and he should feel good, but it doesn't .... No matter how much he wanted payback on the Rottweilers for what they put him and his wife through, nothing could have prepared him for what happened .... Sometimes the past comes back to haunt you, and the way things happened he's not even sure now that he even wants this belt anymore .... He hasn't seen Tomasso Ciampa in almost 3 years, and now he walks back into his life?  ( *We get a little monologue from Johnny Gargano chronicling the E-fed history between he and Ciampa, going back over 3 years to when they were a tag team called 'The Project' .... Ciampa would eventually win the UK title and then turn on Gargano, breaking his orbital bone and forcing him to forfeit the United States title .... Johnny would return to get his revenge, giving Ciampa the 'Chairshot heard round the world' and costing him the United Kingdom title.  Ciampa has not been seen since in the UWF .... *)

 
This brings out Eddie Kingston to interrupt .... 'Don't you say another fucking word!'  Kingston says he's got something that belongs to him, to the Rottweilers.  Kingston is unhinged here, and he screams that Johnny better give it back or everything they have done to him up until now will look like a fairytale.  Johnny will not be safe in the ring, at home, in the streets and neither will Candice .... it's gonna be open season.  
Tony Khan arrives to put a stop to all of this.  Kingston goes nuts and actually goes after Tony Khan, but security stops him before he can get to him.  Kingston yells at Khan and says this is all his fault and he planned all of this .... Khan says all he did was give Kingston what he wanted .... Kingston wanted back in, he got back in.  Kingston wanted the titles, he got them .... but Eddie is the one that sanctioned that match last week.  He told Johnny to come and get the belts, and 'things happened'.  (* Khan comes off as a master manipulator here, but he isnt the one doing the manipulating, he's just the messenger.  Someone behind the scenes WANTS this to happen *)  Khan says he held up his end of the bargain, but this has to end .... and there is only one way to end it.  Empty arena ... one night only .... a time and place to be determined by HIM .... Johnny says that Kingston made it personal when he went after his wife, and he's going to make sure what happened to Candice doesnt happen to anyone else .... Kingston tells Gargano he won't make it out alive ....




Up next, we get the debut of a new tag team in Paradigm ... THE STREET PROFITS!  Crazy athletic and dripping with Swag and charisma, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins bring the culture of hip hop & sports stereotypes to wrestling in everything from the over the top taunts to the handshakes that you would normally find on an NBA court on an NFL field .... They have made several stops on their way to Paradigm, and now are looking to make an impact in one of the deepest tag team divisions in the UWF ....  

STREET PROFITS (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins)  
vs.
EVER-RISE (Matt Martel & Chase Parker)

This match basically serves more to just showcase the Profits as well as Montez Ford's crazy athleticism .... Ever-Rise gets a brief heat segment but it doesn't last long as the Profits go back on the offensive .... Dawkins and Ford combine to hit their finisher, called the 'D-LO BROWN' (sky high by Dawkins + MILE HIGH Frog Splash by Ford) ....

IN-RING SEGMENT w/ Hikaru Shida .... Hikaru Shida comes out and talks about pinning MONARCH champion Deonna Purazzo in last week's tag team match, even though Purazzo wasn't even a legal participant in the match .... Shida says that she has shown that she can beat Purazzo, and she wants a shot at the MONARCH title ....

This brings out Bianca BelAir ... Girl, UH UH .... Last week they were partners, and they have a common enemy in Valifornia.  But don't get it twisted for one second that her end goal isn't the MONARCH title.  So when we talk about Championships, then friendships, or better yet, acquaintences go out the window.  Shida thinks she deserves a title shot?  BelAir disagrees.

This brings out Valifornia led by MONARCH champion Deonna Purazzo .... Purazzo laughs at them.  She has beaten them both and Shida's win last week means nothing because it was a cheap shot and she wasn't even in the match .... They both want a title match, well get in line because so does the rest of the women's roster.  Now, let's be honest, she is head and shoulders above that entire locker room, but nonetheless .... Purazzo plays games here and says they need to work it out amongst themselves because she has other committments that a champion has, which is something they both know nothing about .... BelAir starts to go after Purazzo, but Shida stops her and this leads to them getting in each others faces and arguing .... BelAir says she will prove she is better than Shida tonight ....




ANGEL GARZA w/ Brandi Lauren
vs.
'The Black Swan' CARA NOIR

Excellent, fast-paced action between these two Cruiserweights.  Del Rio is once again lurking around ringside despite Brandi protesting and yelling at him to leave.  Once again, this provides a nagative distraction for Garza, who gets rolled up by Noir for the win ....

Garza and Del Rio argue after the match, with Brandi jumping up and down berating Del Rio and telling Garza to leave him alone .... Garza says Del Rio comes and asks for his help, but then he costs him matches .... Del Rio's decisions OUTSIDE of the ring have destroyed his family name in Mexico and there is nothing Garza can do for him .... Del Rio says Garza owes him.  Garza snaps back that he owes the Del Rio family, but he doesn't owe Alberto anything .... Garza walks off but Del Rio follows him to the back, begging him to reconsider ...



We see footage shot on what looks like a cell phone camera and they are in an old junkyard .... We see 3 guys working out on an old weight bench and using various pieces of scrap iron and stuff .... It is Jaxson Ryker, Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler .... A random car drives past on the street outside and it's engine misfires, sounding like a gunshot .... Ryker has a PTSD flashback and takes cover behind the weight rack like he is under fire.  Blake immediately tries to calm him down.  Ryker realizes what is happening and get frustrated and angry, shoving Blake away and walking off in a rage ....  He kicks the weight rack over.  Blake sighs and looks at Cutler awkwardly .... Cutler says to let him go .... He turns and notices that the camera is still on, and he grabs for it as the feed stops ....



BIANCA BELAIR
vs.
HIKARU SHIDA

Exchange of holds to start.  BelAir becomes more aggressive, but Shida battles back with strikes .... They go to the mat and Shida gets a cross-arm breaker and transitions into a triangle choke .... BelAir powers her up and turns it into a powerbomb!  BelAir pushes her back in the corner and beats dat ass, but Shida actually pulls the ponytail to knock her off the top rope .... Shida with a tornado DDT for a 2 count .... Shida goes up top and dives but Bianca catches her in mid-air!  Bianca presses Shida over her head, but Shida slips off and hits a dropkick.  Shida goes for a top rope huricanrana but BelAir knocks her off and hits a 450 splash!  Shida kicks out!   BelAir with a KOD attempt, but Shida elbows out of it .... BelAir ducks the Tamashii and Shida crashes into the buckles knee-first!  Shida limps out, and BelAir grabs her from behind and hits the KOD for the 3 count!

POST MATCH: Deonna Purazzo comes out at the top of the ramp and congratulates BelAir, but says her win means nothing.  She just said she would 'consider' facing the winner of this match, not that she would do it for sure .... After watching the two of them wrestle she has determined that neither one of them deserve a shot .... She laughs and walks off ....  


BACKSTAGE: Dasha is with ELITE Champion Chris Jericho .... Jericho faces Pat McAfee in the main event ...


JERICHO - "Pat McAfee ... hrumph ... this match shouldn't be happening.  But do you understand WHY it's happening, Dasha?  You see, sometimes you have to reach down in the muck and the mire and get your hands dirty to show people their true place in this world.  That is what I am doing tonight.  Pat McAfee thinks he can play wrestler, he thinks he can step into Chris Jericho's world.  So tonight, even though I, Le Champion, will have to lower myself down to Pat McAfee's level, no doubt McAfee himself will be elevated higher than he has ever been.  Because that is what Chris Jericho does .... I make chicken salad out of ... well, you know the rest .... I am the best ... in the world ... at what I do!  And what I do is elevate everyone around me.  And I have a little gift for Pat McAfee and everyone in the audience tonight.  And that is the 'Gift of Jericho' .... Drink it in maaaaaaaaan!"


We go back to the ring and out comes MVP .... He says that Lashley hasn't been here for a couple of weeks and reveals that is because he was injured in his match with Keith Lee .... He says Lashley has broken ribs and a punctured lung .... MVP makes an off-hand comment about how maybe Lashley isn’t the machine he thought .... he has brought in a replacement for Lashley in the HURT BUSINESS, on a trial basis of course ....  The 'Heavy Hitter' Shane Taylor ....

KONA REEVES

Total squash .... Taylor toys with Reeves for a few moments, hitting some high impact moves before finishing off Reeves with 'Welcome to the Land' (Greetings from Asbury Park/ Running Fire Thunder Driver) ....

BACKSTAGE: Dasha is standing by with an injury update on Matt Riddle after the attack from Mustache Mountain last week during the ladder match .... On queue, in walk Tyler Bate, Trent Seven and Ridge Holland looking like something out of Peeky Blinders.  Bate says this is the 'NEW' British Strong Style.  Seven cuts a promo and says they are done pandering to these fans and it is all about money and titles .... they aren't interested in being 'bros' so they found someone that had a similar goal to them and they found Ridge Holland .... Bate says Holland is a future star .... Dunne comes in and interrupts and he is ready to fight!  Dunne is outnumbered but gives zero fucks .... Officials quickly come in to separate them, and Dunne challenges any one of them to fight him next week!


NON-TITLE MATCH
(Paradigm Elite Champion) CHRIS JERICHO
vs.
PAT MCAFEE w/ a couple of his former teammates that a lot of people wouldn't know

Jericho laughs at McAfee even being in the ring with him ... McAfee obviously doesn't belong, but he has brief moments of shine that shows he might be able to hang with Jericho .... Jericho takes it upon himself to 'educate' McAfee at the beginning, and he goes into a lot of wrestling holds and then paintbrushes McAfee .... Jericho struts around the ring, but McAfee hits a superkick out of nowhere that stuns the crowd as much as it stuns Jericho!  Jericho rolls to the floor, but McAfee with a dive to the floor wipes him out!  Holy Shit!
McAfee to the top, but Jericho trips him up and crotches him on the top.  Jericho climbs up top and they fight their, and Jericho goes to knock McAfee off the top but McAfee backflips off the top rope and lands on his feet in the ring!  The crowd 'Oooooo's and Aaaaah's' at this, but then McAfee runs up the ropes and hits a belly to belly toss on Jericho off the top!!!!  Holy Shit #2!!!!  McAfee is feeling it, and he measures Jericho for the punt kick, but Jericho catches him coming in and takes out both legs .... Walls of Jericho!!!!  McAfee won't tap, and he makes the ropes! ... Jericho goes for the Judas Effect, but McAfee avoids it and rolls Jericho up!  2 count!  Jericho has a look of shock on his face.  McAfee up top for the obligatory rookie moonsault, but of course Jericho gets the knees up .... JUDAS EFFECT BY JERICHO!  He looks down at McAfee with a mixture of surprise and semi-respect, but then he gets pissed and starts stomping McAfee.  He locks on the Walls of Jericho and McAfee taps out ....

Winner: Chris Jericho

Jericho goes to leave the ring as trainers are checking on McAfee.  They help him up and McAfee gets a standing ovation from the crowd.  Of course this infuriates Jericho, and he returns to the ring and attacks McAfee, locking on the Walls of Jericho again!  Keith Lee hits the ring and chases Jericho off, and Lee makes the motion around his waist that he is coming for the ELITE title ....
