World Class Wrestling Houseshow (St. Louis) Jim-ross-623x425

Jim Ross: "Hello wrestling fans, and welcome to night two of the Missouri run here live on the Highspots Network! We want to thank you for having us in your homes for some great wrestling action. We have a star-studded line up, starting with this huge tag team matchup!"

Match One: Sting & Lex Luger vs Buff Bagwell & Scott Norton

Sting and Buff face off to start the match. Buff works him into the corner and hits some high knees. Sting reverses an Irish whip and hits a clothesline but Buff comes back with a slam and puts Sting in a headscissors. Sting gets back to his feet and tags in Luger who immediately starts hitting Buff with some forearms and punches in the corner. Luger throws him into the other corner and charges in but Buff gets the foot up. He tags in Norton who comes in and takes Luger out of the ring with some stiff shots. Luger gets back in the ring to tag Sting back in but Norton takes him out with a kick to the midsection and stomps him down to the mat and knocks Luger off the apron. He whips Sting into the ropes but he reverses it into an arm drag and a dropkick. Norton gets a thumb to the eye which lets him make the tag back to Buff. Bagwell hits a shoulder block but Sting comes back with a kick and a bulldog before tagging Luger back in. Luger hits Buff with some kicks and rubs his eyes against the top rope. He takes him down with a slam and covers him for a two count. Luger attempts an elbow drop but Buff rolls out of the way and hits a Sidewalk Slam.  Buff attempts an elbow with Luger moving, but he ducks and hits Luger with a Side Kick before making the tagg. Norton comes in with some stomps and starts to choke Luger. He works him into the ropes and distracts the referee while Buff takes him down on the apron. Norton picks him back up and hits a clothesline for a near fall. He tags Buff in as they continue to isolate Luger. He works him into the corner but Luger gets the boot up and takes him down with a clothesline. Buff gets to his corner first and Norton is in to hit a Powerbomb on Luger for a two count. He gets a nerve hold on Luger, but Sting gets the crowd going and Luger makes it back to his feet. Norton takes him down with a knee and tags Buff back in the match. Buff comes off the ropes and hits the Scissors Kick but only gets a two count. Luger tries to get to his corner but Buff hits Sting which causes him to try to get in the ring and Vicious & Delicious double team Luger. Luger makes the tag to Sting but the referee is distracted and doesn’t it and sends Sting back out. Buff and Norton continues to work on Luger and Sting runs over and takes both men out. He hits Buff with a Stinger Splash but Nirton pulls down the rope and Sting is sent flying to the outside. Sting pulls Norton out. Luger powerslam Buff then puts him in The Torture Rack! Bagwell submits, giving Sting & Luger the win!

Well Archer..... theres only one big man in Pro wrestling and your looking at him! Word on the street is your new manager, Cornette has an open contract to face you. So I say grab that World Class title and bring your ass on boy!"

Awesome doesnt have to wait long as Archer storms from the dressing room area towards the ring...... with bad intentions!

They lock-up as Awesome nails Archer with a huge backward elbow. They trade blows, side headlock by Archer. Huge belly to belly suplex by Awesome. World Class Wrestling Houseshow (St. Louis) Images-16

Jim Cornette: "AND STILL YOUR WORLD CLASS HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION......LANCE ARCHER!! I told you people that my Momma bought the best money can buy! And you just witnessed what my Murderhawk can do! LANCE......LANCE WAIT FOR ME!"

Jim Ross: "Fans, I've known Jom Cornette for a lot of years, and yes, hes goofier than a pet skunk, but after what we just saw.....I'm not so sure that Lance Archer is on team Cornette, regardless of what Mama Cornettes money can buy!"

Match Three: The Hardy Boys vs The Midnight Express

The Midnights make their way out, looking lost as Cornette isnt with them. It’s a brawl to start with the Midnights taking over on Matt but Jeff comes back in to take everything to the floor. The fans are NUTS for the Hardys!

Back in and the Hardys quickly clean house, sending the Midnights out for a consultation and Ross and Okerlund state on commentary that they look lost without Cornette. We finally start with Matt vs. Eaton as things slow down a bit. Matt blocks a hiptoss and throws Eaton down before hitting a sweet flying headscissors. Off to Jeff who punches both Midnights down and works on Bobby’s leg. They head back to the floor with Jeff backdropping Eaton onto the concrete before pounding him against the barricade.

Back in and it’s a double tag off to Matt vs. Condrey. The Hardys takes over on Lanes leg with some slingshot splashes and elbows onto the knee for two. Matt cranks on the leg before Jeff comes in, decks Eaton, and cranks on Lanes leg as well. Lane fights up and hits a knee to Jeff’s ribs but hurts his own leg so bad that he hits the mat.

The Hardys take turns working on the leg with Jeff coming in off the top with a knee drop on Lane’s leg. Sweet Stan finally gets over to Eaton without too much resistance and we’re back to even for a bit. Eaton takes him into the corner for some HARD right hands, only to be taken down by a suplex. Back to Matt whose dropkick is caught in a catapult, sending him face first into a forearm from Lane.

Back with Eaton holding Matt in a chinlock before it’s off to Lane for the same hold. Jeff gets drawn into the ring, allowing Eaton to drop a top rope knee to Matt before Lane puts on the chinlock again. Matt finally fights up with a knee lift but Lane rakes the eyes to stop a tag. Back to Eaton who gets two off a neckbreaker and puts on another chinlock.

Matt fights up and gets a quick two off a sunset flip but Lane punches him back down. The Midnights miss the Rocket Launcher and there’s the hot tag off to Jeff. Everything breaks down and Matt hits a Twist of Fate on Eaton. And Jeff flies off with a swanton bomb to get the win!

The Hardys take their leave as The Midnights regroup in the ring when Jim Cornette finally makes his way to the ring as The Midnights question his whereabouts!

World Class Wrestling Houseshow (St. Louis) Images-18

Renee Young: "What a wild match we just seen there, and one things for certain, Jim Cornette has had better nights! Fans at this time I want to bring in Brit Baker. Brit, last night in Kansas City, you challenged Rhea Ripley to a match her tonight. To my knowledge, Rhea isnt here in the building."

World Class Wrestling Houseshow (St. Louis) Britt-Baker

Brit Baker: "Somebody call Ripleys Believe it or Not!! Of course she isnt here! Just like all these Missouri morons, she knows she cant beat me when I'm prepared for her! She's a joke! And the fact that shes in the IWA Womens world title match at Parade of Champions is a travesty! I know all you people wanted to see your Role Model in action tonight...... but forget it! Your so beloved Rhea isnt here and I dont wrestle infront of losers for free!"

Jim Ross: "That little lady is as bitter as it comes over her loss to Rhea Ripley in the IWA Womens world title tournament. Plus she has a mouth as big as all outdoors. I wonder how long Rhea Ripley will let her run it? Because as we all know, Ms. Ripley isnt one to take a challenge lightly!"

Match Four: Brian Pillman vs Cameron Grimes

The two men lock up with Pillman working the arm of Grimes, but he fights out and takes Pillman to the mat with a waistlock as Jim Ross states on commentary that this both means World Class Wrestling debut. Both men get to their feet and Pillman locks into a chinlock, but Grimes quickly gets to the ropes. Pillman takes Grimes down to the mat and locks in a submission hold, working on Grimes’s knees. Grimes tried to get the ropes and finally does forcing Pillman to break the hold. Both men are back to their feet and circle one another.

Pillman hits a series of moves, eventually locking in the ankle lock but Grimes tries to fight out but Pillman keeps the pressure locked in. Grimes makes his way to his feet and as Pillman is coming off the ropes, Grimes hits a knee to the midsection. He follows that up with an armbar, while he is driving his fist into the temple of Pillman. Flying Brian fights his way out and hits a hurricanrana and follows that up with a dropkick and a clothesline that sends Grimes to the floor. He comes out on the apron and hits Grimes with a kick to the head and then a rolling senton to the floor. He sends Grimes into the guardrail and hits a series of chops to the chest. He rolls Grimes back in the ring and attempts Air-Pillman as he comes back in but Grimes catches him and tosses him aside. Both men are going back and forth with Grimes tossing Pillman hard into the corner. He follows that up with a bridging German Suplex for a near fall. Pillman slowly makes his way to the apron and goes for a slingshot spear, but Grimes catches him and tosses him down with a Gutwrench slam. He doesn’t have the advantage for long as Pillman hits a boot followed by a flatliner. Pillman takes the advantage and hits a suplex, and then hits a kick to the head. Pillman hits a huge clothesline. Grimes goes to the outside but comes back in and is met with a slingshot for a two count. Both men exchange maneuvers with Pillman coming out on top and rolling up Grimes for a two count. Pillman comes off the ropes but Grimes catches him and slams him down for a near fall. Grimes tosses Pillman into the ropes but Pillman comes back with a hard elbow. Grimes comes back with an elbow of his own but misses a kick as both men criss-cross in the ring with Grimes hitting the Collision Course for a two count. Both men trade a pair of superkicks and Pillman reverses another slam by Grimes into a DDT. Pillman sets up for a dropkick but Grimes snuffs it out and hits one of his own. Grimes throws Pillman nto the ropes but as Pillman rebounds off, Grimes hits Cave-In ( Leaping double foot stomp) to get the victory!

Match Five: Brian Cage vs Luchasaurus

Luchasaurus starts off hot and heavy, decking Cage with an enzuigiri, and giving him a backdrop driver out of the ring! HUGE PLANCHA OFF OF THE CORNER! Luchasaurus dives into a suplex position back in the ring though, and Cage battles back with a spinning full-nelson slam and a TOPE CON HILO! Luchasaurus is game to exchange some stiff chops on the outside, but soon falls victim to a powerbomb into the ringpost from Cage. They trade lariats in the corner until Cage gets the upperhand and drops Luchasaurus with a short lariat. Luchasaurus hits Cage with a high kick, but Cage TILT-A-WHIRLS him into the ropes for the 818! Luchasaurus plants Cage on his head with a dragon suplex for his first two count, and proceeds to work on Cage’s wrist as the pace slows down. Powerslam scores for the big man for another two count. Cage misses a moonsault though, and Luchasuarus puts on the sleeper. Cage is able to stretch out to the ropes however. Cage fights back with a neckbreaker into the double down spot. Cage follows with a wheelbarrow suplex for a two count. Pumphandle Facebuster scores for Cage, but again Luchasaurus powers out. After a brief moment he eats a pop-up F5 for two! Luchasaurus fights back with a wheelbarrow suplex. They both end up on the top rope, where Luchasaurus HITS AN INSANE SPRINGBOARD SUPER RANA! 540 KICK! DISCUS LARIAT FROM CAGE! Luchasaurus gets out of the Fucking Machine Superplex, and HITS A BURNING HAMMER! CAGE KICKS OUT! Luchasaurus hits a HUGE Deadlift Powerbomb to follow, but Cage counters another one into an Alabama Slam and a Discus Lariat. LUCHASAURUS KICKS OUT AT ONE! SPIN KICK! Cage HITS THE STEINER SCREWDRIVER! 1.....2......3!!

World Class Wrestling Houseshow (St. Louis) Brian-Cage

Jim Ross: "Fans.....this Brian Cage is the real deal! He really is a machine! I have a feeling that someday we are going....... HEY! WHAT A MINUTE! WHAT THE HELL?"

The cameras pan back inside the ring and we see a man attacking Cage from behind! Its...... JEFF COBB!!

World Class Wrestling Houseshow (St. Louis) Jeff-Cobb-Q7-MZi-Srno-Vw

Cobb grabs Cage and hits a devastating German suplex that has Cage down and out. Cobb uses his raw power to lift Cage up......belly to belly! Cobb is just having his way with Cage! Cobb lifts Cage up and slings him into the ropes where he catches Cobb coming off...... TOUR OF THE ISLANDS!! Cobb just stands over Cage with a smirk on his face as security rushes to Cage's aid.

Main Event: The Von Erichs vs The Freebirds (Lumberjack Match)

The crowd is ROCKING in the Kiel Center as The Von Erichs storm the ring and attacks The Birds! Gordy works his magic to draw Kerry into the Freebirds corner. Once he does, Hayes tags in and thinks he’s got the advantage. However, Kerry blocks a hiptoss out of the corner and then hiptosses each one of the Freebirds. Hayes rolls out in front of Pentagon Jr assuming that he won’t be bothered, but Pentagon puts Hayes back inside the ring. Kerry winds up and lands a big right hand on Hayes. He scurries over to Gordy for a tag. Kerry decides to bring David into the match. They lock up and David whips Gordy off into the ropes only to telegraph a backdrop. Gordy then charges David, but misses and crashes into the ropes. Tag to Kevin, he’s got dropkicks for each one of the Freebirds. Kevin gets too excited though and doesn’t realize he’s in the Freebirds corner. Buddy tags in and knees Kevin in the back while Gordy keeps him in place. While Roberts keeps Kevin on the wrong side of town, David and Kerry get a little antsy coming in and popping the other Freebirds. Big heat segment on Kevin by the Freebirds. Gordy misses a corner charge and hot tags Kerry. After Kerry gets a backdrop and a knee drop, Gordy manages to push him back into the Freebirds corner. They cut the ring in half on Kerry. Buddy punishes Kerry with a hammerlock, and then Hayes works the back with a suplex and a backbreaker. When Kerry fires back on Gordy, he gets dumped right in front of Bundy. Back inside, Buddy and Kerry have a DOUBLE-KO. Hayes drags a loopy Buddy Roberts over to Gordy for a tag. Gordy tries to stop Kerry, but we still get the HOT TAG TO DAVID anyways. Like a boss, Kerry grabs Gordy’s ankle causing Gordy to try and balance on one foot. As soon as David applies the Sleeperhold on Gordy, it turns into a pier-six brawl. Kerry applies a sleeperhold on Buddy and they both go over the top rope. While all the lumberjacks are dealing with that, Hayes dumps Kevin over the top rope behind the ref back, breaks up David’s CLAWHOLD on Gordy by lowering the boom on him, and then knocks the ref to the floor. Hayes thinks it’s all over as Gordy lifts up David for the PILEDRIVER, when in fact Kevin comes off the top and lowers the boom onto Gordy! As the ref gets back in the ring, Kevin lays David on Gordy for the 1-2-3! The Vin Erichs are victorious as the Birds make their way back to the dressing room as the Von Erichs celebrate with the fans as show fades to black.

Tag team scene is so solid here ... Cant wait to see how you establish your tag team champions

Hmmm ... does Archer not like that Cornette has his contract now?  That could lead to an intriguing angle

Usually not a fan of the debuting guy attacking someone, but I am gonna dig this Cage-Cobb feud .... I couldn't figure out where Cobb fit in for me

Your Britt Baker stuff is legit

Jury is still out on the Von Erichs for me .... I am not a fan in real life, and Slash made me hate them in the old Fed ... still waiting to see something from them that's gonna hook me

Love STING/LUGER

Really looking forward to their push!

So AWESOME shows up and just like that gets a title shot?

Man,what a match ! I am becoming a big fan of ARCHER here!

CORNY ain't as tight with ARCHER as he seems to think ! Or is this some ruse he is pulling on everyone?

MX definitely lookeda bit lost without CORNETTE.

Why tf did CORNY even bother showing up when all was said and done??

ANSWER ME!!!!!

Shocked that GRIMES got the win when it seemed to me that PILLMAN was pretty much in control most of the match !

CAGE is da mutha fukin man !
LUCHASAURUS is a big, tough boy so CAGE had a damn tough challenge but it didn't matter !

CAGE ,imo, is the most over wrestler in the IWA right now!

COBB!!! You just signed your death warrant!!

Great chaos in that main event !

Digging this feud but pulling for the FREEBIRDS to get some payback!

DAMN GOOD SHOW!

Glad to see Lex & Sting on the rise

Cornette seems to not be on top of his game here

Not a fan of the Cave-In. He misses it it about 40% of the time that I've seen.

Cobb vs Cage should be a fun program

I usually like to send the fans home happy at a House Show. You did that here.

Very Good House Show
