XWA Presents: Next Generation 12: Tag Team Turmoil

Announcer Gus Johnson welcomes everyone to the show. He puts over the first 2 matches of the mini tournament to crown Tag Team Champions that will happen tonight. Tommy Dreamer is here and in our Main Event, Rush & Taya Valkyrie face the team of Meiko Satumura & Daisuke Sekimoto.


Match 1: Juice Robinson & Willie Mack vs BMX

BMX were the big favorites to win this match but the team of Mack & Juice are in control. Then out walk The Future. This distraction allows BMX to turn the tide. They start to wear down their opponents but don'y get a 3 count despite many covers. Mack catches Blake with a Sidewalk Slam and tags in Juice who is running wild with punches to both men. He knocks their heads together. Then signals for the Juice Maker. As he is about to apply it Trevor Lee and Dijak jump on the apron. The referee is warning them to get down. Then as Juice has Blake tapping. Corbin runs in and hits a big boot to the face. Then slides back out. Murphy Grabs Juice sits him on the top rope and they hit X-Clamation Point (Superplex Frog Splash Combo) Willie tries to enter but Lee has his leg. 1.. 2.. 3!

Winners: BMX



(The Future walk up the aisle then turn and give the Raven pose back to the ring as the fans boo.)

General Manager Jack Tunney addresses the crowd. He says next week BMX will fight in the Main Event against the winner of the other tournament match to crown Tag Team Champions. Then turns his focus to the Richie Steamboat injury. He says since Richie will not be back for a while he has brought in a new Talent to replace him on the roster. He will debut next week. Also next week the Bullet Club will be here when Amber Gallows takes on Rebel.

Match 2: Tetsuya Ibushi & EVIL Watanabe vs "Speedball" Mike Bailey & David Finlay Jr

This is the rubber match between these two teams. They know each other well and at the same time dislike each other even more. Very hard hitting match. Finlay hits EVIL with a Flying clothesline that gets a pop from the crowd. Bushi hits Bailey with a Spinning Neckbreaker onto his knee and gets a near fall. Later Watanabe hits Mike with a Brainbuster. He tags in Bushi as EVIL sends Finlay to the floor and goes out after him. Bushi goes for a flying senton but misses. Bailey is up and about to strike as he waits for Bushi to stand. But when he does he spits his green mist at the eyes of Mike.

But he blocks it with his hands. He then lets of a Flurry of shoot kicks finishing with a roundhouse to the head.  Bushi is down as Bailey goes up and hits the Speedball Special (Shooting Star Double Knee Drop). He covers as David is stopping Watanabe from running in to help. 1.. 2.. 3!

Match 3: Alexa Thatcher vs Deonna Purrazzo

Alexa is one fine looking lady and the fans like what they see. But then she opens her mouth and she's not so attractive as she berates all the fans ringside. Saying they are not good enough to date her. Out comes Fan favorite Deonna. Alexa tries to attack before the match but it doesn't take long for Deonna to come back. She hits a Tornado DDT then goes up and catches Thatcher with a Flying Cross Body for the victory.

Winner: Deonna Purrazzo

Devin Taylor is in the back with the victorious Finlay Jr and Bailey. David tells Devin next week they will become Tag Team Champions. Then Mike Bailey says they are the perfect Combination of his Speed and David is a Brawler like his dad. So they will be collectively known as Speed Brawl. You can hear Gus saying "Speed Brawl?"

Match 4: Trevor Lee w/Corbin & Dijak vs Tommy Dreamer

The other members of The Future try to get in Tommy's head before the match. But as Gus points out, Tommy is a veteran of the sport and "He don't sweat these youngsters". Match is on and Trevor is doing quite well for himself and catches Tommy with a leaping Double Foot Stomp into a Standing Moonsault for a 2 count. Later Tommy stomps away at Lee in the corner. Then hits a Running Hesitation Basement Dropkick. He pulls Lee up Hits the Death Valley Driver and gets the victory.

Winner: Tommy Dreamer



(After the match Corbin and Dijak jump him from behind. Baron gives him the End of Days. Then Dijak is signalling for the Feast Your Eyes when Juice Robinson runs down with a chair to make the save. The Future quickly bail from the ring as Juice is irate. Gus says "This Juice has gone sour!"

We get a video package for Rebel. She says she just a Southern Girl. She was the only girl in her family and had to scuffle with her bothers all the time. She grew up tough thanks to them and now she's here in NextGen to show everyone that you don't go messing with a Country Girl.

Main Event: Rush & Taya Valkryie vs Daisuke Sekimoto & Meiko Satumura

Lots of bad blood in this one. The ladies start it out and just start trading Elbows to the head. Taya lamds a boot to the mid-section. Then Slams her backwards by the hair. Taya smiles to the crowd but is met with jeers. Taya whips her to the buckle and goes for a Corner Splash but is met with a Leaping Lariot from Meiko. Taya scrambles and tags in Rush. In comes Sekimoto. They start jawing at each other then Rush spits at Daisuke. Then quickly ducks out the ropes a furious Sekimoto gives chase around the ring and runs into a Taya Superkick. Rush and Taya roll him in and Rush goes to work on the young Japanese star.

Rush is wearing him down. Then he will distract the referee allowing Taya to get a few cheap shots in as well. Meiko has had enough and runs in and drags Taya through the ropes and blasts her with a short arm clothesline. The ref is trying to maintain order but as Rush is distracted by the girls he turns and is hit with a Lariat from Sekimoto. He then pulls him up for a Powerbomb as He lifts him up Taya shoves Meiko into the referee then kicks Sekimoto right between the legs from behind. Rush now counters into a faceplant and covers as Taya tackles Satumura. The ref counts to 3. A disgusted Gus calls Taya a Devious Vixen.  

Winner: Rush & Taya Valkryie
