XWA Presents: Next Generation 15: Need for Speed

Announcer Gus Johnson welcomes everyone to the show. He puts over the Main Event which will be for the NextGen Tag Team titles as Speed Brawl defend against BMX.


Match 1: Amanda Rordriguez vs Rebel

This is Amanda's Next Generation debut. She and Rebel shake hands before the bell. They have a fairly clean but highly competitive match. Amanda hits Rebel with a DDT. Then goes up top for a Flying Elbow but misses. Reverse STO by Rebel. Then nails a Split-legged leg drop. Gus calls it Southern Charm. 1.. 2.. 3.

Winner: Rebel



(After the match Rebel goes over to a dejected Rodriguez and shakes her hand again. Amanda is upset but accepts the gesture as the fans cheer.

Then she drops her with an elbow to the jaw! She lifts her up and hits a Spinning Brainbuster. The crowd is now booing as Amanda gives them an "Up Yours" gesture. Gus is not happy to see his favorite, Rebel get laid out. He says this Amanda chick ain't no lady.)

Match 2: Trevor Lee vs Dragon Lee vs Tetsuya Naito

Lee is accompanied by the other members of the Future. Dragon Lee is the crowd favorite and he is really wowing them with some amazing agility. But Naito catches him with a Rolling Kappo Kick. He covers but Trevor breaks it up. Naito tosses Trevor Lee from the ring then hits a dive out on him. He tosses him back in but the rest of the Future confront him. No punches are thrown but its enough of a distraction. That Dragon Lee goes up for a senton on Trevor. But he gets his knees up! Then hits the Orange Crush as Naito is shoving Dijak on the outside. Trevor gets the pin.

Winner: Trevor Lee



(After the match Naito just smirks at the outcome. Almost as if to say he admires the Future's strategy.)

General Manager Jack Tunney addresses the crowd. he informs everyone of some new talent being signed to Next Generation and they will debut next show. Also Next show the World Junior Heabyweight Champion will be here to defend his title against NextGen Champion, Will Ospreay. He also lets us know there will be a tournament to crown a Women's Champion and the details of that will come on next show too.

Match 3: Rush vs Dragon Azteca

Dragon Azteca is all over the cocky Rush. Hitting Dropkicks, Hip Tosses and a Monkey Flip. He looks for The Green Destiny but Rush is able to throw him off as he lands face first. A Basement dropkick to the side of the head follows and Rush works over the masked man for a bit. But Azteca eventually comes back. He hits a Hurracanra that sends Rush into the ropes. Then a guillotine Legdrop on the apron! Azteca covers 1.. 2.. No!

He goes for a Dragonsault (Lionsault) But Rush had popped up and catches him and hits a Tombstone. He covers for two as well. Olympic Slam by Rush. 1.. 2.. No! Azteca hits a Superkick. Dragon Suplex! 1.. 2.. NOOO!!!! He sends him to the corner and goes for a Corner Splash but Rush moves! Cross-Legged Samoan Driver! He doesn't cover this time. Instead he pulls him up and nails the Rush Driver! 1.. 2.. 3! Gus exclaims he planted him like a Fern! Ha Ha!

Winner: Rush

Devin Taylor is in the back with NextGen Champion, Will Ospreay. She asks Will about his shot at the World Junior Heavyweight Crown next Show. He says it was only a matter of time. He says his star is rising so fast its not a rocket but a comet. Next stop for that comet is the World junior Heavyweight Championship and he will win it. "By Any Means Necessary"!

Match 4: Aleida Ortiz vs Meiko Satomura

Aleida Ortiz enters the ring like she's a big star. But in reality she's just some nobody that worked for some indie. Satomura tears into her with insanely stiff kicks and chops. Aleida looks like she's at death's door. Meiko finally ends her misery with Scorpio Rising (Axe kick to a kneeling opponent while using their knee for leverage). Gus says he thinks Aleida needs to go back to whatever Indie she came from.

Winner: Meiko Satomura

We get a video package for Willie Mack. He talks about how he was raised by his Grandmother. And she always taught him to do what's right and always believe in himself. But most important, always stand up for yourself.

Main Event: Speed Brawl(c) vs BMX - NextGen Tag Team Championship

This is a rematch from the Tag Team Finals. BMX was considered the favorites to win the titles. They aim to rectify that here. Speed Brawl were the Underdogs from the beginning but they realize they need to win tonight to prove they are the best team in the company.

The champs start out quickly. Really keeping BMX on their heels. BMX tries to take it to the floor and turn it into a brawl but that doesn't work out well either. Finlay has Blake in a Boston Crab. He looks like he might tap but then Murphy runs in and Superkicks David in the face. Blake crawls over and makes the tag. Now the challengers take control with a very methodical attack. Working mostly on the lower back of Finlay.

Murphy hits a Sidewalk Slam and covers for two. Then they hit an assisted Legdrop. Blake covers 1.. 2.. No! They double slam him into the buckle. Then Blake drives a knee into the Lumbar. Bailey is stomping on the mat looking to get the crowd behind his partner. Then Finlay starts firing back with Elbows to both men. He drops them and makes a break for his corner but Murphy has a hold of his ankle. Blake hits the ropes and dropkicks him right to the mush. 1.. 2.. No!! Speedball breaks it up!

The referee is scolding him and telling him to get back to his corner. While this is going on BMX continue to double team Finlay Jr. They go for a double flapjack but somehow Finlay counters it and DDTs both men simultaneously! He crawls to his corner as the crowd is cheering him on... He makes the Tag!!!

Speedball lives up to his name as he is a ball of fire. He is putting a whipping on both challengers. He clotheslines them both over the ropes. He hits the ropes and nails them poth with a Tope Con Hilo! He rolls Murphy back in Then climbs up top But before he can leap Blake has his leg. In runs Finlay who drops him with a European Uppercut. Speedball jumps but misses the Kneedrop. Murphy blasts Davis from Behind and BMX goes for X-Clamation Point. Murphy sets him up for the Superplex as Murphy waits on the next buckle but Finlay is fighting it and hitting elbows. Mike Bailey is up and dropkicks Blake off the top and to the floor. Finlay is trying for the Super Air Raid crash which is how they won the belts. But Murphy fights it and hits a Super Samoan Drop! 1.. 2.. No!! Bailey breaks up the pin!! Fans are chanting this is awesome. Gus says you damn right it is.

Now all 4 men are in the ring battling. Finlay goes down from a Murphy Lariat. Then BMX grabs Bailey and hits a Double Flapjack! But when they rise Finlay hits a double Flying Dropkick. Finlay tosses Murphy out the ring. and goes after him. Bailey and Blake are both worn but keep fighting. Blake goes for a Superkick but Mike ducks it and drops him with a Back Suplex. He goes up top... Speedball Special (Shooting Star Double Knee Drop)! 1.. 2.. 3!

Winners and STILL Champions: Speed Brawl




Gus Johnson puts over the great main event. Saying peed Brawl is growing on him. He even is beginning to like their name. He hypes up next show's World title match and signs off.
